Great compressor, very happy with it. Bought for airbrushing small items rather than one of the smaller kit types in the same price bracket. With added moisture trap and works beautifully for that. I have also used to inflate 4×4 tyres no problem with that either. It’s not silent but silenced for sure and quiet enough not to disturb the neighbours. I’m sound sensitive and have no problem with the noise level compared to having to wear ear defenders when using my previous parkway compressor which was so loud I dreaded using it.
Great compressor for its size and correct applications most negative reviews seem to be the very occasional defective unit or people expecting it to preform like a 200 litre industrial unit. Personally I would not hesitate to by this unit again it’s perfect for my needs.

Brilliant little compressor.. I use it in my hobby machine shop for swarf clearance on my lathe/mill etc.. not noisey and quickly gets to pressure.. build quality is great, can’t fault it really.. very good value for money.. very happy with this purchase 🙂

Amazing piece of ki
Honestly was not expecting much, but this little compressor is awesome, been using it with a nail gun and also a car jack, but it’s got more than enough to handle them both with ease. Also super quiet and very portable

This is a lovely bit of kit, for work I have a huge compressor so needed something portable, quiet and light weight, to transport around for lighter use.

It doesn’t take long for the tank to fill up, and has enough in there to add a few psi to each tyre on two cars, if you are careful. If you do run out its not a hardship to run an extension lead to it, and away it goes.
It is very quiet compared to my larger one that I cannot move.
I have used it to blow crumbs off the seat of the car, clean bird feeder and many other uses.
It is not heavy and as long as your not expecting to spray a car or use heavy use air tools then this is the compressor to go for.
If my large compressor breaks I will definitely be buying Hyundai!

Well worth the upgrade from the smaller single piston hobby ones. The larger tank means more consistent and uninterrupted airbrushing (you’ll need a limiter and adaptors but it’s much better than the hobby ones)

Very quie
I had problems with the on/off switch. It was very hard to pull the on button up. Hopefully it will ease with use. Gets up to pressure quickly, and is really quiet when pressurizing.

Quietest and easiest compressor to use.
Very quite to use. I have to use portable compressors in customer’s houses. Wispa quiet. Light to move. This is the best that’s around at the moment.

Euro ‘quick release’ air outlet makes a generally really nice unit far less useful ‘out of the box’ than a lot of its competitors. A simple ‘1/4 inch BSP’ threaded hole with a standard double ‘male” 1/4 inch BSP spigot would be much more useful, as this size thread is pretty much standard in this class of compressor.
An item of concern is the wall thickness of the castings . From what i could see, you need to be VERY careful not to accidentally overtighten any components of the air regulation unit if they ever need replacing.
The power ‘ push-pull’ switch is WAY too stiff to operate with just your thumb and fingers, it either needs the size/diameter increasing considerably, or the mechanism made a lot less stiff to operate( the current switch is small in diameter with sharp ‘knurls’ that cut into your digits painfully when enough force is applied to pull it into the ‘power on’ position.
The other main bugbear is the ridiculously short power cable ( barely 1 metre in length) which means an extension cable is needed 95% of the time.
Minor ‘niggles’ :-
Could not find any ‘dump valve’ fitted, but the tank drain tap works easily for the same operation.
Overall:-
Great value for money. ‘Refilling’ is very quick when the compressor is in use ( in my case to run 1 or 2 airbrushes at about 20PSI ). Living in a small groundfloor flat, size and noise level are quite important, and it meets those restrictions very well.
If the switch was easier to operate, and a sensible length of power cord was supplied i would have given it 5 stars, but the issues mentioned above sadly means i can only give the product 3 stars. :((

The only thing is the off and on button is so hard to do and I need the hose to fit my nail gun and compressor can you help as I’ve never had one before thank you. If you can help me in getting the accessory for my compressor I would be grateful and the hoes that I need to get to work.

I really enjoy using this air pressure. It’s not loud at all, apart when it reaches the default pressure it makes a sound that for people who are not familiar with the machine could get scared. I use it with a spray gun and the 8 litre air tank is enough to keep me spraying for a long time. Recommended!

I bought this to replace a small air compressor I bought from Screwfix several years ago. My old one was OK except that like many others it is really noisy and I couldn’t use it in my man cave/shed without wearing ear defenders.
Despite the predicted delivery time of 1-2weeks it actually arrived two working days later undamaged in a sturdy cardboard box. The only thing needed was to unpack it and attach the air filter.
Noise wise, compared to my old compressor this one is a complete contrast. It isn’t silent but is very quiet and it fills its small tank quickly. Being the smallest model it doesn’t have the flowrate for large tools but I wanted it for clearing swarf, shavings etc from a CNC router, general workshop use and maybe for a laser cutter if I ever get that far.
What do I miss compared to my old one – nothing really apart from it had an easily adjustable pressure regulator but this one doesn’t. Not an issue for my usage.
All in all a good purchase. I am very happy.

I use this with a pressure pot for resin casting. Nice and quiet, simple to operate and pressurises the pot to about 60psi nice and quickly. Plus points I clue that it comes with an intake filter, which is very handy for when working in a dusty environment and is relatively portable thanks to the carry handle and weight.

So quiet, portable and effortless to use. Well balanced carrying handle makes it as easy to move around as a bag of shopping.

Compared to my current Compressor it is a Bit loud. pressure slowly bleeds off unlike my current compressor which is fully Air tight with all it’s hoses on. Bought it because I need something capable of running a Mini sandblaster or slightly Larger Spray gun. will run my Airbrushes quite comfortably

Received next day. Very quite, maximum pressure charge it is 6.5 bar about (92 PSI) with a strong blast than it automatically re-start if the pressure drops down at 4.5 bar about (63 PSI), it easily cope at 4.5 bar only with an intermittent work (on/off usage while re-charging), if it is in constant use it will drops down at 2 bar and it can guarantee a constant air flow at 2 bar about (30PSI) while in constant charging mode, it will re-charge from 2 bar to 4.5 bar in about 5 second and full re-charge in about 20 second 6.5 bar. In conclusion if you give it a few second in between the short/medium blast I believe this compressor will meet the expectation. It weight 17.5Kg as printed on the box.

Very quite, maximum pressure charge it is 6.5 bar about (92 PSI) with a strong blast than it automatically re-start if the pressure drops down at 4.5 bar about (63 PSI), it easily cope at 4.5 bar only with an intermittent work (on/off usage while re-charging), if it is in constant use it will drops down at 2 bar and it can guarantee a constant air flow at 2 bar about (30PSI) while in constant charging mode, it will re-charge from 2 bar to 4.5 bar in about 5 second and full re-charge in about 20 second 6.5 bar. In conclusion if you give it a few second in between the short/medium blast I believe this compressor will meet the expectation. It weight 17.5Kg as printed on the box.

When it arrived box was badly damaged, luckily the only damage was the plug which was crushed.shows how strong the compressor is as there was no other damage. It’s surprisingly powerful for such a small unit, have used it to clean components and inflate tyres.

usefull and very low noise level
compressor is excellent for what use intended, very low noise level , will not run large air tools but not designed for that, great in small workshop to blow off dust, air brush use etc, build quality very good, in all very pleased with product. Good value @ price.

Nice and quie
This is excellent and very quiet as described. My only regret is not getting the bigger litre capacity model but for my initial purposes for blowing out dust, water ideal. Not sure how long it would take to inflate tyres though.

This compressor is amazing, so much better than I expected and was delivered within 2 days.
I wanted a quiet compressor for the shed to allow me to blow off dust and swarf from my lathe and for clearing out carburettor passages.
I fired it up and fitted an air gun and hose I had and away it went, amazingly quiet and did the job perfectly.

If you’re thinking of buying a small mains voltage compressor, then I can highly recommend this model. It is VERY quiet, builds up to full pressure quickly, and extremely good value for money. In fact, I don’t know how they can manufacture and deliver it at this price. I am very impressed, and such fast delivery from the Hyundai agent.

Was worried about the noise due to my location but not anymore.
Arrived a day early and within five minutes of unpacking it I was inflating my car tyres. I needed a silent one and it doesn’t disappoint, just listening to the radio news bulletin easily while it’s pressurising.

Compact and comparatively light compared to similar compressors. Much quieter than other compressors too. Great piece of kit for a DIYer like me. Use it for seating and inflating tubeless MTB tyres, inflating car tyres, cleaning golf shoes and trolley wheels. Also good for drying mechanical parts after washing. Cleans hard to reach parts on bikes and other mechanical parts.

very good silent working machine .only downside is the instruction book which does not have a diagram to show beginners where the important bits are. written instructions good
After much research looking to upgrade an older Draper diaphragm compressor and looking at compressors with tanks, I settled for this Hyundai 5508 model. Low noise and an 8 litre tank would be perfect to run my airbrush. I have opened the box and read the instructions, assembly just requires a rubber tube to be put into an air filter and the air filter to be wound in to the compressor housing, and that’s it, it’s ready to go. Instructions for use are clear and within minutes I was ready to switch on to test. Turning on the unit I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is for its size and it happily went to 7 bar of pressure before automatically cutting out ready to use. Air being used, the compressor will kick back in at just below 4 bar to start filling the tank again. From empty to full only takes less than a minute. A small screw valve at the bottom of the tank empties the air when turned for finishing using it. Pressure can be regulated down to lower settings by adjusting a screw inside the switch housing, but this for me will make the compressor work more often the lower the pressure is set, so I need to buy a small regulator to fix to the air outlet that allows me adjust the air pressure to 4 bar. For Airbrushing this is perfect, you wont be disappointed, so far hooking it all up it works brilliantly. Other compressors for the same price only have a 3 litre tank, whereas this has 8 litre. Highly recommended for the hobbyist or Artist.
