As a professional musician,academic,and lover of music for 50 years,I would recommend learning an instrument to anyone.If it’s guitar,as a starter,or as a pro,I recommend Ibanez as the benchmark of instrument quality and expertise throughout their vast array of options. This lead guitar is a wonderful place to start. It also represents a gr8 improver diversity,and or Pro instrument.Beautiful Quilted Art top,humbuckers either side of a single,5 way switch,slim satin backed NZ pine neck/ fretboard…what’s not to like?…compact enough for smaller hands,and smooth in pro terms.Tuners are great,and the tone is punchy,more rock than classical,for which I recommend the Art range..but for RG style at a modest price,this is the best around.Hope your music proves as rewarding to you,as it has been to myself…highly recommended

The action on this guitar is exceptional for the price.
Good first guita
Decent enough for my first guitar. It came with a screw missing and the paint scraped off at the bottom. I’d say that isn’t really common but that’s why I gave the product 4 stars interested of 5 And the value for money 3 stars. Everything else was how I expected it to be.
For beginners, depending on the age it might be a little heavy towards the bottom but with a strap should due just fine. Built well. My husband loves that it is left handed. Color is mich better in person. Still waiting on some other pieces so cant comment on the versatility.

Completamente lucida al corpo e alla paletta.
Il body da il meglio di s quando illuminato da luci forti poich rilascia dei riflessi molto piacevoli.
Il manico color legno chiaro sul retro si sposa bene nel complesso.
Prestazioni :
Non credevo che una chitarra cos economica (183 ) potesse suonare cos bene.
Molto buono il sustain.
I pick up humbucker hanno un suono bello “cicciotto” e splittabili includendo anche il single coil al centro.
Switch a 5 posizioni.
Purtroppo quella che arrivata a me e per la quale ho chiesto il reso, presentava alcuni difetti che ho fotografato (forse stata erroneamente scambiata per nuova), la schermatura non era stata fatta in maniera perfetta splittando e il potenziometro del volume creava lievi distorsioni tra il 30 e l’80%… Ad ogni modo credo che sia un caso isolato e mi sento di consigliare questa chitarra a chi si sta avvicinando al mondo della musica per la prima volta o che magari vuole ricominciare a suonare senza spendere un capitale.

Insbesondere der schmale Hals ist fr meine Kleinen Hnde ein Vorteil. Aber auch sonst macht sie einen tollen Eindruck. Die Farbe ist super, der Klang ist beeindruckend, die Saiten fhlen sicht gut an. Ich hatte nie das Gefhl, dass diese Gitarre mich in irgendeiner Weise beim Lernen einschrnkt.
Lediglich in der Verarbeitung gibt es ein paar Mngel: bei Lieferung waren bereits einige Kratzer im Lack, besonders um Schrauben herum. Die Aussparungen fr die Pickups sehen etwas dreckig aus, wenn man direkt reinschaut. Das grte Problem ist wohl, dass bei meiner die Klinkenbuchse wohl etwas defekt ist: sie erlaubt einiges an Spiel, die Klinke kann darin umherwackeln und sich ohne viel Wiederstand drehen. Dies fhrt zu Funkengeruschen im Lautsprecher, wenn man sie beim Spielen umherbewegt. Wenn man jedoch das Kabel durch den Gurt zieht, um den Zug zu entlasten, oder im Sitzen spielt, ist das kein groes Problem.
Eine tolle Gitarre und nach vier Monaten bin ich noch immer mit der Wahl zufrieden. Es gibt keine Gitarre, die ich in dieser Preisklasse lieber htte!

Great sound, comfortable and looks grea
Love it! I’m a beginner and also have an Epiphone Les Paul. I find this guitar offers a comfortable experience, great sound and is far easier to get those more difficult chords, like the F Barr than my Epiphone. Great value for money and looks amazing! Definitely recommended.

Consigliatissima per novizi e neofiti.
Volevo imparare a suonare la chitarra elettrica da zero. Dopo varie ricerche, ho scelto questa e non me ne pento. Anche un mio amico che suona da anni l’ha approvata.

Guitare parfaitement adapte un/une dbutant(e) et qui pourra le/la suivre un bon moment avant de ressentir le besoin d’en changer pour un modle plus cher. Elle est trs belle et bien finie.

Chitarra discreta. Sono un bassista e la uso comunque per tenermi allenato con le 6 corde. Ha un buon suono. Molto ‘debole’ il comparto ponte/tremolo. Credo che, per quello che mi serve, lo bloccher! Il suono, invece, non affatto male!

Inoltre sono state fornite indicazioni contraddittorie circa il possibile smarrimento del pacco: stata infatti subito offerta l’opzione del rimborso senza alcuna indicazione circa il possibile recupero del pacco, ovvero una nuova spedizione. I giorni delle festivit natalizie hanno probabilmente giocato a sfavore: l’operativit di alcuni corrieri non sempre comprende i giorni festivi. Ho tuttavia apprezzato l’estensione dell’abbonamento a Prime che mi stata offerta a titolo di compensazione.

La chitarra un ottimo strumento per un principiante, esattamente corrispondente a quelle che erano le mie aspettative. Si tratta di uno strumento realizzato con cura e, sebbene non all’altezza di altri modelli della stessa casa o di altre per quanto riguarda i pickups, decisamente versatile per chi inizia a suonare una chitarra elettrica. Il peso contenuto ed il manico pi sottile rispetto ad altre chitarre favoriscono i pi giovani. Nel complesso direi che il rapporto qualit-prezzo decisamente interessante.
La stella mancante dovuta unicamente al ritardo nella consegna.

Ich bin begeistert. Fr mein Musikzimmer zu Hause ist das eine absolute Bereicherung. Die spielt quasi fast von allein. Gewissermaen mit “Hand auflegen”. Probiert es aus. Meine anderen Gitarren haben erst mal Pause.

Beautiful guitar, I love it!
I fell in love with the design of this guitar and it did not disappoint. I’m a brand new guitarist so I couldn’t say technically how this one compares to others but I’m having lessons, my tutor rates Ibanez and I’m loving it!

Ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo data la scelta di materiali di qualit e l’assenza di problemi di assemblaggio o di finitura; il suono limpido e modulabile grazie alle numerose possibilit alternative di selezione dei pickup. Esteticamente molto valida, la ritengo un’ottima chitarra per iniziare.
Ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo data la scelta di materiali di qualit e l’assenza di problemi di assemblaggio o di finitura; il suono limpido e modulabile grazie alle numerose possibilit alternative di selezione dei pickup. Esteticamente molto valida, la ritengo un’ottima chitarra per iniziare.

Lleg a casa casi afinada y con las cuerdas bastante bajas, trasteaba un poco pero era facil tocar rapido, adems el mastil es bastante fino. Vamos, perfecta si quieres tocar rapido, tener buen sonido y pagar poco.

This is a decent beginner guitar, certainly among the better ones. It’s tone is fairly dark but pleasant on clean. It doesn’t have any real problems with playability as the frets are properly aligned and do not stick out from the sides. The scale length is roughly the same as on the Fender Stratocaster which is good for anyone wishing to upgrade in the future.
The pickups are okay. You won’t record the next hit song with them but they’re just fine for live performances or practice. The same applies to the pickup switch and the tone and volume knobs. The latter are perhaps a bit too easy to bump into whilst playing, changing the volume by mistake. Replacing them with stiffer and smaller knobs might be a good idea.
My main gripe with this guitar is the quality or lack there of of the bridge. The intonation screws are spectacularly bad and have worn out after only two or so adjustments. This forced me to remove the stock bridge and install a far better one instead. If you never intend to change from 9 gauge strings this won’t be an issue. But if you do you might want to buy that with this guitar since 10 and 11 gauge strings work really well.
The height adjustment pins are also a bit imprecise but you won’t really notice this.
This guitar’s tremolo on this stock bridge only goes one way. The tremolo stick is equally poorly designed.
Overall I don’t regret my purchase as all of the problems were fixed by a minor modification.

Great guitar for affordable price !! However, the guitar was not properly packed (could easily moved in the box). The guitar comes with vibrato and key for the neck. Nothing else… picture is misleanding

Purtroppo non mi sono arrivati l’accordatore ,i plettri ,la custodia,il panno ,la tracolla e la bosetta per gli oggetti per il resto tutto perfetto

I had the same Warrior Stratocaster for the past 15 years (a complete beginners guitar) and I’m glad I purchased this Ibanez GIO series.
Much more comfortable to hold, the pickups are awesome.
Good sound quality to it for a budget guitar.
Very easy to pick up in hand and I can even play with my thumb.
Very awesome to finger tap on it!
My daughter loves the sound of it (my wife don’t like metal but who cares).
The only downside to this for now are the strings.. I’ll give it a few more shots with them before I replace them with earnie balls.
Otherwise I would recommend this guitar to anybody with hand problems and a tight budget!
La chitarra arrivata addirittura 2 giorni prima della data indicata, l’imballo sinceramente me lo aspettavo un p meglio visto che dentro la scatola c’era solo della carta da pacchi ammassata come protezione, ma avendo una seconda scatola, la chitarra arrivata intera e senza segni comunque.
Il suono, per quello che pu capire un principiante come me bello pieno, cattivo ed aggressivo, maneggevole e con la forma del manico che facilita la presa e lo scorrimento delle dita. Poi piaciuta a tutti quelli che l’hanno vista dal vivo, dicendo che fantastica e sexy addirittura e io sono d’accordo. Secondo me pu piacere anche ad un professionista. Comunque molto valida per imparare.

Es una guitarra muy bonita a la vista, muy manejable, comodisima y bien equilibrada a la hora de usar tanto en casa como en directo. Muy buena calidad en los acabados, buenisima calidad de sonido.

Great starte
I’m no pro but as a learner it’s all I need, Ive got a decent amp and effects and I find it ticks all the boxes.
I’ve had this guitar for 9 months, and it looks fantastic, and sounds really good in a variety of genres (mainly rock/metal). For the price, neither of those points can be argued as anything other than a great value for money. Very good beginners guitar, as it is very simple to restring/tune etc.
However, it has been plagued with maintenance issues, on 3 separate occasions:
1) One of the string holders at the top broke, needing a new hole + screw to be drilled into it. Fixed at home, with advice from a professional.
2) The top pickup completely collapsed in on itself; needed a professional to help fix it.
3) The internal wire connecting the pickups and input for the wire snapped, needed re-soldering and figured out the issue + fixed at home.
All these are not tough fixes for someone who knows about guitars, but for any beginner (like I was) they were very worrying and troublesome. Bear that in mind before purchasing this guitar. These fixes did give me a good insight to how guitars can break/be fixed, but nothing that can’t be learnt without first-hand experience.
Overall, it’s a great guitar from a great brand, and is near perfect other than the maintenance aspects.

Nach anfnglichen Problemen mit der zugesanten Ware (Abplatzung am Korpus) die aber sehr schnell und unkompliziert durch Amazons Kundendienst gelst werden konnten, hatte ich bisher nichts zu mkeln. Sie tut, was sie soll und macht spass. Danke an Amazon fr die schnelle Bearbeitung der reklamation.

There’s so much about this guitar I love that I don’t know where to start, the tone, the feel of the neck, the pickups, the intonation and tuning from out of the box, I’m chuffed with this purchase and as an intermediate guitarist, I highly recommend the versatility of the Ibanez Gio series to both begginers and pros.

Arrived as expected but guitar damaged. Rear edge of body had a large area of damage. A lot of paint and lacquer removed and a decent sized dent. Return ongoing but couldn’t get a replacement before Christmas . I would have been very happy with the guitar otherwise.

I purchased this as an 18th birthday present for one of my grandsons,so it’s his review rather than mine.he is studying music at college and is totally smitten with his guitar.he takes it to college and is proud to be playing it.i must say the sound is great when I hear him play on it.
