Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt does not take up space, you can put it a a corner. It makes slight noise even on silent mode but it’s not really bothering. Very easy to use and empty its container. It is daily gathering about 2 litres of water from moderate use and haven’t noticed any significant surges in electricity usage. Satisfied with the product after almost a month of use, worth the cost.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDid quite a bit of research and shopping around to find a dehumidifier that wasn’t too expensive. This was on the higher end of my budget but I’m glad I spent the extra money. It works great, super easy to use and holds a good amount of water.

I live in a 2 bed top-floor flat so it gets very damp, but this has transformed the air. It also makes laundry dry overnight which is amazing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeen using it for the past 2 years non stop. Just great to help dry my clothes during winter and to collect humidity from the showers. So good that I bought a second one and offered it to my sister. It helps keep the house warm too.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis wee machine pulled around 50l of water out of our stone-built cottage in the first week of use. We don’t have as much condensation on the windows and the black mould growth has definitely slowed down alot. My cough has eased up too. The only thing I would say that is slightly negative is that the silent function is not silent. It is just slightly less noise than normal function.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersAs an owner of an ancient Welsh stone cottage with wooden windows I am a connoisseur of dehumidifier units! I wanted an extra unit for my bedroom. I normally use delonghi but the price has shot up. I decided to go by the good reviews on this unit and I was not disappointed. I let it rest for a few hours and then left it on for the evening. The tank was half full by the time I got to bed!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDoes the job it’s supposed to, but has some silly design faults! The obvious shortcoming of the small water collection reservoir is okay as long as you keep an eye on it & empty it periodically — although there IS an auto-stop function… would you trust it?! 1. Power cable is ludicrously short. 2. Silly little castors don’t move very well on carpet. 3. There is always a small amount of water leakage from the L.H. bottom corner of the unit, below the removable, clear plastic reservoir! This seems to be dripping from the collection point of condensed vapour (at the TOP of the reservoir), adjacent to the rubber bung (at the back of the unit) which is the attachment point for a ridiculous little drain hose that could only ever squirt water onto the floor anyway (unless, perhaps, you poke it into one of those ubiquitous 5 litre plastic jerry cans)! In short, the tried & tested refrigerant technology works well, but the specific design (also sold by at least one other well-known retail company) may look ‘smart’, but is decidedly second rate. Finally: although it’s not ‘noisy’ (there IS a slight attenuation when the fan speed is reduced) to describe it as ‘silent’ is inaccurate to say the least!

Put the washing in an enclosed room, whack this on and wait for it to suck. It really does a good job of drying the clothes when you can’t get them outside and saves on the electric costs of a clothes destroyer (tumble dryer).

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAdmittedly I have this in a small room but it’s the room I dry my clothes in. I washed my bedding yesterday morning and after a couple of hours it was back on the bed bone dry. Today I did 3 loads of washing and had it all hanging up. It was dry by this evening.
Really chuffed with it’s performance so far!

First of all, the “Silent mode” button may as well not exist, because the difference is barely noticeable and the dehumidifier is still quite loud. However, the dehumidifier does its job – within one hour of running, it collected a noticeable amount of water in the tank, which I was quite pleased to see. However, it doesn’t seem to be able to reduce the humidity of the room under 49 or so (even though I set the target amount at 36 so it should keep going until it reaches that point), the humidity indicator drops sharply during the first hour, but then it just kind of stagnates. I’m not sure if that has to do with the size of our room or the machine itself, but the water we keep emptying out of it indicates that it does work to an extent – it’s not perfect by any means, but it’s good enough.

    Bought to replace my old
Dehumidifier that broke. So far I’m impressed with it. Mainly use to clothes, but it also does a great job keeping moisture out of whatever room it’s in.
Noise wise I think it’s very quiet, but it’s not silent. You will hear it working on the background. I leave this running overnight and haven’t had issues in terms of noise (this is obviously very subjective though).

I purchased this for a friend who has damp issues in their (very old) recently purchased property. A number of their walls have very bad issues with damp/condensation and they are absolutely delighted with how effective this Dehumidifier has been. Please be aware that my friend is aware (as should potential purchasers of this unit) that this is only a short term/temporary solution and a damp specialist has been consulted regarding the chronic/long term damp issues of the property).
I chose this Model as it is the ideal size for the property (a fairly small 2 bedroom terraced house) and also for its its list of specifications. Power consumption is respectably low compared to most competitors units for the size (it may require operating for extended periods for severe damp issues) and it is claimed to remove up to approximately 12 litres of water per day (this is quoted as a maximum).
There are numerous safety/auto shutdown features built into the unit (if the water container requires emptying for instance) which is important if the unit is left operating for long periods unattended.
The unit is fairly easy to move around (for its weight and size) with a sturdy built in carrying handle as it is best operated as close as possible to the location where it it is most needed. Carrying the unit up a staircase should not be a major issue for anyone reasonably physically fit.
The unit can be connected to an external drainage source where this is available and can also be used to dry out damp clothing/washing if required. It also filters the air as it operates so should help improve the air quality and slightly reduce the effects of anyone who suffers from Asthma or Hay fever. The one complaint with this unit (as other reviewers have pointed out) is that this is DEFINITELY NOT “silent”. It can be heard from at least 20 feet away even in “silent” mode. My friend is unable to sleep with the unit operating but of course some individuals may not be as sensitive or may become accustomed to the steady hum (even when in “silent” mode). It is not “noisy” and may be quieter than some competitors units but it is DEFINITELY NOT “silent”. I feel the Manufacturer should alter their wording regarding this as it is “fairly quiet” but NOT “silent” and may be false advertising. It is not a “deal breaker” for my friend however and the unit is left turned off at night.
This Dehumidifier has been a godsend and my friend is absolutely delighted with it. The affected areas of damp have been dried out (albeit temporarily) with regular use (the underlying damp issues remain and will require professional attention in the near future) and it has prevented water/damp potentially ruining a recently purchased bed and sofa. The overall comfort factor of the property has been substantially improved with the humidity levels now significantly reduced (the humidity level is shown on the unit as a percentage and independent measuring devices have confirmed the readings are accurate).
    A very good product.

This extracts moisture OK, it’s useful that you can set the target humidity level, it has a nice digital display.

This has a ‘silent’ mode, this is ironic as it is only slightly less noisy than the jet engine noise of the standard setting! It doesn’t bother me as the only time it’s ever on it is shut in a room on it’s own.

Overall I am happy with this unit, it is reasonably compact, looks modern, and is not unduly heavy.

Bought this to help dry clothes instead of using my tumble dryer. Works brilliantly. Electric bills dropped considerably. Also we live in a park home and use it occasionally throughout the home to remove additional moisture. Not as manoueverable as I hoped especially on carpet and not as quiet on silent mode as we hoped but does its job well.

We bought this to try and stop the mould that kept appearing around our window frames and in two corners of the ceiling in our bedroom and en-suite. We kept cleaning it away but, it kept coming back within a few days.
Started using this and from day one, no more mould. We were amazed how much water it collects every day.
It is easy to move around as it has a big handle on the top, but it is rather heavy (especially when full of water).
I would suggest emptying the water before it gets full, otherwise it does fill up to the top of the reservoir and it can be tricky not to spill the water when walking to the sink to empty it.
You can not say it is quiet, even on the so called “silent” mode, which by the way is not silent.
It does make a low noise and there really isn’t much difference between the normal and silent mode. But, saying that, we used it 24/7 when we first got it and we slept through the noise without a problem, even though I am a light sleeper. I don’t think everyone would be able to sleep with it on, and I noticed in the reviews before I bought it, that people mentioned the noise. Of course you could just turn it off when you want to sleep.
To sum up, I am absolutely delighted with this machine, it does exactly what it said it would and we are moisture and mould free.

Love how this dries out our otherwise never dry bathroom, a sporty family means the shower is in very regular use, the fan/window open does not manage to keep the room dry. The dehumidifier has solved this. Uses very little energy. Not sure why they bother with a ‘silent mode’ tho, it’s not much different to normal mode, definitely not silent!
It’s crazy how much water it takes out of the air each day, helping to solve our conde station mould issue.

Purchased for my extension as it’s next to my bathroom. In the winter when it’s cold abd I have a shower, the condensation was dripping down the cold bathroom tiles and also the walls in my extension.
This seems to be doing it’s job but I do have to keep it on for about 2-3 hours after my shower.
I haven’t noticed a significant increase in my bills but let’s see how I get on after the energy hikes..?!

Does the job for a small room

We purchased this product after doing a kitchen renovation and found damp behind a cabinet area it was very damp and very moldy and appears to just be picking up condensation from the kitchen activities and a bathroom adjacent. We ran it continuously for 3 weeks in Nov ’21, every 8 hours we were dumping 12L of water The first week the unit was showing 70-85% humidity after 3 weeks we were only getting half the water in 8 hours and a week after that we were getting 1/4 of the water so the unit has reduced the amount of moisture in the house. We now run it 1 or 2x per week for 8 hours and the house humidity is at 55%. It’s small (smaller than carry-on luggage) and light. We move it around the house as needed. It’s not quiet but it’s also not loud. Now we usually run it over night or when we’re out for the day.

Energy cost: Running it 24/7 in Nov. it increased our electric bill 12 from our monthly average rate.

Received the product and found it to work perfectly. The Wi-Fi connection is easy to set up and the app works well, making it easy to control from elsewhere in the house or even when out and about.
With the unit on dryer mode, laundry drying time and associated house smells are cut considerably – I have no window condensation any more and laundry dries on the rack in less than a day.
On silent mode it is barely noticeable until the compressor kicks in – and even then it’s not particularly loud, which was something I was worried about! Castors make moving it around a breeze.
The real reason to get this over other products out there is simple – amazing customer service. The first unit I ordered suffered a malfunction meaning that it did not operate on anything other than max setting.
Within 3 days of informing the company and sending a video of the problem, I had a replacement unit delivered to my door at no extra cost.
Absolutely stunned by the customer service shown by Inventor and very happy with the product they sell.

I needed a something that helped with drying my washing as it can not be dried during the winter months in the UK. I believe I found the answer with the Inventor Dehumidifier EVA-II Pro as it had a drying function as well as a Smart function that works out the humidity levels and runs itself at the most economical setting.
It worked like a charm and it’s certainly more economical than using a 2kw heater. -It will take a little longer to dry than a heater but if one is not in a hurry, then this is the perfect item for the drying job. I must also add that when I had an issue with the item, it was dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. The company was extremely helpful and I thank them for this.

Bought this after a lot of research as I wasn’t too sure about the different types and sizes. This works extremely well and removes the moisture from the air in the upstairs of our house ( 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom landing corridor and stairs) if we leave the door from kitchen to stairs open it draws the moisture from the kitchen as well ( we have an airing rack on pulleys above kitchen radiator which creates a lot of moisture) .
It is placed on the passage way connecting the stairs to the 2nd bedroom and bathroom and works very well across all the areas described.
It is easy to move and small enough to not be in the way, noise level is quieter than I’d expected and not an intrusive sound or tone.
I would recommend this and if I ever needed another one I would definitely buy another one of these.

I have two of these and another one from the same manufacturer but an earlier discontinued model we got to test.

In my 118 year old house that had a bad damp problem these have stopped the water running down the walls and windows which was soaking the carpets and rotting the floor boards, mold and mildew on walls, furniture and soft furnishings.

At first I was emptying them two to three times a day but now it is down to about once every two days and them not running all the time anymore.

Occasionally move them from one room to another to check and see if damp is creeping back in but keeping the doors in all the rooms open mitigates any build up in a room.

Using this intermittently in my tiny damp box room for about a week and it has sucked up a lot of water so far! It takes a lot every day so I’m not sure if my room is really damp or if it’s going to become less and less the more frequently I use it. It definitely does work, had no issues with it so far. Only problem is it is loud so I can’t run it at night, impossible to sleep over. The silent button decreases noise slightly but not by much. I can’t seem to be able to set a preferred humidity level either . Tried many times to adjust but it doesn’t change. Still happy with purchase but for 100 id like all features to work

Used for drying laundry in a small utility room. The amount of water it extracts from the air is related to the temperature of the room and the relative humidity. At 22 degrees and relative humidity about 70%, it fills up the tank every 4-5 hours which is in keeping with the rating of 12L/24h (12L/24h is calculated at 30 degrees and RL 80%). The Inventor Fresh removed twice the amount of water our desiccant dehumidifier extracted for half the consumed electric energy. Amazing efficiency. It is rated at 200w but our gauge showed it works at 155w (the desiccant is rated at 330w, gauge showed 315w). Perhaps it automatically adjusts the level of power depending on the conditions, but didn’t find anything relative in the instructions manual.
The size is more compact than the competitors and that was an important reason for us to purchase it. Not too heavy and the casters help move it around.
It is noisy, even on silent mode which reduces only a bit the fan speed and the noise. Certainly more noisy than our desiccant dehumidifier which we can have comfortably in our bedroom, whereas it was impossible to sleep with the Inventor Fresh in the bedroom.

I bought this dehumidifier for a damp and cold attic room. I also bought a much more expensive, and Which Magazine recommended, product for another attic room. The Inventor is excellent- the other dehumidifier was returned – it was far inferior.
The only downside is that it’s very full when it switches itself off making it a bit tricky to empty without spilling. It’s also heavy but has a handle and castors
Overall, I would highly recommend and will pay little attention to Which recommendations in the future

Difficult to find fault. A little noisey, but there is a ‘quiet’ mode, which I should say is less efficient. Controls are well laid out on top of the box shape. A wide handle makes relocation easy. Water tank level viewing window and easy frontal removal. Is proving effective in smaller rooms. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI did not pay full attention when purchasing this (too many tabs open and urgently needed a 2nd one).
Pros – very proficient at sucking up moisture.
Neutral – , it’s a big and hefty piece of kit.
Cons- if I had paid attention when buying it, would have gone for a bigger capacity tray (20l) as I’m emptying it twice a day in my damp flat. It’s louder then I would like. The tray is not spill proof – one which was better enclosed and with a handle would have been preferable.

I don’t usually bother to write reviews but this machine has made a HUGE difference to my life (and house!) and in a few days cleared up the horrible mould and damp in a front bedroom of an old, sandstone cottage. The amount of water it collects is amazing! I also bought a smaller, ‘table-top model’ but it’s pretty useless compared to this and hardly collects anything.
Yes, it is quite noisy, even on the less noisy/night setting, but as it’s so efficient I turn it off at night completely and just run it during the day when I need to.
I haven’t had it for long so hope that it does continue to work and perform, but at the moment it is really brilliant.

I’m so glad I purchased this. After reading quite a few of the reviews I wasn’t sure. I’m really happy. I’ve placed the dehumidifier in my conservatory. It’s a small conservatory. First use I left it on the recommended 24 hours. I could almost feel the change in the air. I don’t think it used much electricity as my smart metre indicator wasn’t going crazy. I’m now using it again as I’ve hung some washing on my clothes horse and two hours later the jumpers and jeans are just damp. The dehumidifier has sucked all the moisture out. I’m impressed. Also in my opinion the noise level is fine. One reviewer said it was as noisy as a hairdryer, I don’t think it is. Not sure I would be able to stand it in a bedroom but I’m ok with the noise and I haven’t even pressed the silent button yet.

Had it for three days and its already so much better
Then before I always felt like that floor was wet now that it’s working in the room everything is so nice and dry

Last year I got a window vac because every morning our windows were covered in condensation and we started to get mould in the corner of the rooms. Spraying to kill it lasted days.

Aside from killing ten minutes every morning the window vac failed to make a difference.

This year after a week of window vacing (is that a word? Let’s go with it) I got exasperated and bought this dehumidifier, fully expecting a miniscule difference and resigned to chalking up another significant waste of money.

    Oh my! I was wrong.

It filled up in no time, clearly far more effective than I’d expected.

After a day of running solidly and four tank loads of water emptied we noticed a difference in the condensation on the windows. After two days they were bone dry and we were emptying it a lot less.

The mould hasn’t returned a week after we sprayed it, whereas previously it would be back in three or four days.

It’s a nice portable unit with sensible buttons and an easy to empty tank. It’s also clearly powerful enough to make a difference to a four bedroom house.

The only downside is ‘silent’ mode is really just ‘less noisy’ but it’s quite soothing really, I’m happy to listen to it while I sleep. Around the level of a large tower fan.

Three fan level settings allow for very quiet to quiet noise levels in use. Comprehensive controls provide different mode settings that will allow users to find their best run cycle. We use the auto run/timed setting and the difference it has made is remarkable – no more condensation!
