I purchased the shower head whilst it was on special offer so it was good value compared to other similar units. I just needed a shower head quickly to replace the rather old manky Victorian style one which I could no longer get as clean as I wanted.
I was pleasantly surprised . The 3 spray modes are excellent. I have noticed that I don’t have to use as much water as I normally would. The water pressure is much improved as it can be a bit hit and miss where I live. It’s good to have a choice of either the plastic or the metal shower insert. I went with the metal and it works well.
All in all I’m very happy with this purchase.
Great showerhead that in hard water areas reduces the amount of shower products and shampoo. The only problem found was with the metal plate with the holes unfortunately sends water in all directions and is impossible to change, had to use the spare plastic and rubber plate instead.

The water where I live is extremely hard – any metal surface needs to be polished every day otherwise it is cloudy and stained. It had also been affecting my hair, which had been unmanageable and almost ‘tacky’. Before spending loads on a water softener, I thought I would try one of these shower heads, and was pleasantly surprised. I got mine a few months ago and noticed my hair was soft and back to normal. I had also been doing other things to try to improve it, so I did consider that it may have been better shampoo / hair oil I was using etc. However, I noticed last week that my hair was starting to feel horrible again and was difficult to get a comb through, so I replaced the filter beads and voila – my hair is silky again!
I have no problem with the water pressure, it seems medium to me – it’s no super powerful massage jet shower head, but it isn’t like the awful misty shower heads you can get sometimes.
The shower comes out like a mist or you can have it coming out faster for a massage. The mist makes your skin feel really soft. It saves you a lot of money on water as well. I would certainly recommend this shower head to my friends and family.
very easy to install and my water pressure has gotten better since. I initially bought it because i was getting irritation on my skin every time i showered but i have only used it once since then so its too early to tell hence the four stars. i will come back and update if i need to. overall very good.

My water pressure before was basically a slow drip so this was never going to work miracles. It did as I hoped however and improved it massively to the point where I can actually take a shower again. The soft water feels amazing on your skin, would definitely recommend.
This has just arrived after only ordering at 8pm last night. I’ve fitted it easily on the shower fitting and tried the 3 different settings! I was a bit dubious about the performance claims but it actually works. The pressure on my electric shower was always a bit borderline but this addition has brought the pressure up nicely. Very easy to install for an almost instant upgrade.

Definitely works. My blonde hair disclosured quickly after dying every time, hairdressers actually thought i had dyed my hair darker because it was so discoloured. Since using this my blonde hair is still blonde which is proof the water is soft. Will be purchasing this for a lifetime

Works fine for me. I can’t tell if its actually softening the water, I can’t tell the difference. I anyway needed to replace my old shower head so for me this works fine as a replacement and if it does soften the water then that’s an added benefit.
If people feel the water pressure is low – remove the steel circular plate and it works well without it. You will see what i am talking about when you are setting it up.

The water pressure seems stronger. The shower head is heavy so cannot be safely placed inside the standard shower holder or it will drop. Also quite heavy to hold and not so good for someone with a disability. I bought this for the main purpose to soften the hard water we have and hope to reduce the impact on my daughter ‘s Psoriasis. But have to wait and see if the minerals that come with the shower will work.
It has made a big difference from my old shower and is noticeably more powerful but it doesn’t cover a wide range of your body as the head is fairly small so you have to do a lot of twist and turn movements. The minerals are a great idea as my hair is in much better condition since using this product. All in all it is a good product but only 4 stars as the head should be wider.
I’m not gonna preach about it changing the water pressure because that isn’t what I bought it for but I will say that even though it comes out pretty fine and chill, it’s still really good at rinsing things off your hair, I was impressed. Not sure how it would be if you did suffer from low pressure, but for the price it is, I’d recommend giving it a go.
What I will preach about is the difference it has made to the hardness of the water. I live in an area where the water is so hard you could call it a Mitchell brother and people would believe you. Honestly, it’s awful. After the first shower, my God… I actually felt clean. Once I dried my hair, it had bounce. BOUNCE. My hair usually just hangs around being all flat and awful, but no longer. I’m shocked at the difference it has made. If you are thinking of buying this to help out with a hard water issue, you won’t regret this purchase one bit. It actually works.
after reading the reviews I brought one its lovely to use it when washing my hair it feeling like being at the hair dressers it sprays very well and not like the normal shower heads that spray every where my husband & son can tell the difference and from ordering this to delivery was quick and l would recommend this and the seller will be coming back to order another from them
The only downside is that I have read the 1star reviews and I am now really worried about using the shower head in case it damages my shower unit! Someone has an identical shower to mine and it stopped working,they called in the Triton engineer who immediately said it was the shower head which had caused something to overload as it was putting too much pressure on the unit trying to force out the water through the stones and through the tiny holes in the plate. Considering sending it back as I am too scared to use it now!!
I have purchased before and only used the metal inner plate. A separate silicon one came with this head but water wasn’t as fine and gentle as with metal plate do have replaced with the metal one. Also pressure kept dropping with the silicone plate in operation. That said, I really do love this shower head (with metal plate) as water feels so gentle on my skin and pressure is increased. Water is softened so less shampoo/conditioner needed.
Arrived on time well packaged seems to be decent construction.
Doesn’t feel quite as powerful as the original shower head but water does feel softer, generally pleasant to use so far.
Can’t comment on long term robustness of product as I haven’t had it long enough to determine.
I can’t believe any of the negative reviews on this product. I was a bit dubious because of the price and seemed to good to be true but this shower head is fantastic. The softness is the water is unbelievable especially since before, even after conditioning my hair I would end up with knots and tangles and now my hair is really soft and my skin isn’t a dry. It was super easy to install.. literally just twist it into place and the pressure is exactly how described. I like that you can change the pressure easily and the massage setting is a dream. I cannot fault this product and if anything would have paid more for it! It’s value for money and came really quickly. It also came with extra balls to change in time.

Heads up…there is a plastic cover over the threads on the shower head that screw into the shower hose..I thought initially it didn’t fit the hose until I realised it had a cover over it

This was a replacement for an existing shower head that was years old and almost completely blocked up, I had seen adverts for the ‘stone head’ showers before but didn’t really want to spend the money they were asking for an ‘authentic’ one, this is good value for money fixed easily in and works brilliantly.
Hi Libby, I have to say, this is without a doubt the best shower head I have ever used and I have used quite a few in my long life. I could not believe how soft the water was. I also like the two sets of replacement balls and plate ( I do prefer the stainless steel one.) I was so impressed with it I ordered a second one for my favourite niece and her partner. I very highly recommend this shower head to anyone considering buying one.
It is actually very good, i have been looking at getting one for a while but sometimes these things are just pretty gimmicks that do nothing different from a normal shower head, however i have to say i am really happy with it, it does make my water softer and i prefer the idea of having a button to change modes rather then turning the head as they tend to get hard to turn. Iys only got 3 modes but to be fair you dont really need any more, they are all very good, and my shower does seem to be more powerful then before so very happy.
Bought this to replace an old showerhead in an area with very hard water.
So far, this has done the trick very well. The water does feel cleaner (not sure if this is psychosomatic or not, but who cares!). It was very easy to fit and produces a firm but not too powerful stream of water.
Recommended to my father who also thinks it’s a good purchase.
Also – like the fact that there are spare filter stones supplied in the box – this is a big plus for me.
Only issue is that it’s a little more expensive than what I would usually spend on a standard shower head, and doesn’t include a hose or anything, but my purchase price of 15 is hardly bank breaking.
If I was looking for any other criticism, I’d say it feels quite plasticky – but still is clearly good quality.
My hair was constantly a bit sticky whilst air drying , I googled it and it said cause can be hard water . We are in a very hard water area .

This is fantastic! I immediately noticed the softness of the water and when I stepped out of the shower, my skin did not become completely dry, the way it would with the hard water.
I initially bought this for my daughter who has severe eczema and she also noticed a big difference. The fact it doesn’t dry out her skin and scalp means her flare ups are cooled down by a shower rather than made worse. It then meant when she used her creams, they interacted with her skin better.

Water was squirting out from top of main body when first used. Assumed it just needed the head tightening but it was tight. Unscrewed to find thread hadn’t formed properly during molding. A little ptfe tape sorted it though!

After 2 showers everything seems great. My hair feels cleaner and softer and that’s why I bought this shower head. It s super easy to instal but you need to remove a piece. I didn t notice at first so nearly put it away to return as I didn t read anything about it. The pressure is not too bad. Could be higher but it is ok. Now let s hope it lasts.

I had heard about this type of shower head and wondered if it would work in a hard water area, so I took the plunge and bought this one. I attached it to my Mira power shower which is badly affected by the hard water and hoped. Been planning trying one of these for a while after seeing more expensive versions advertised but decided to go for this one after seeing on amazon. Wasn’t disappointed, have been very impressed. I was worried that water would come out too softly as I couldn’t understand how it could come out with sufficient pressure but still save water but it is great, comes out a very fine spray but with great pressure. Very easy to install also.
So impressed with this. Read other reviews and was a little sceptical. But having a low pressure shower and plenty of limescale, I had to give it a go.
Dead simple to install, like how could you get it wrong – unscrew old shower head, screw on the new one. Getting the beads into the tube needed a little bit of patience (don’t do it over the sink, beads will go down the drain), but simple enough.
The actual spray from the shower head is excellent and the best I have used. Believe the hype, it is worth a shot.
Very happy with this replacement for my old shower head that was starting to show its age.
The spray is very fine compared with previous shower heads which is where the water-saving properties come into play. The switch to change the spray mode works very well, much better than twisting the shower rose. All three spray modes are nice, with the right pressure – not an issue with my combi boiler – but I can totally understand why this (and other similar products) are not suitable for electric showers.
It’s tough to comment on the effects of the ionising minerals however I have noticed that soap does seem to have a better lather so it is very possible it is softening the water.
Also I have to commend the customer service. The replacement shower plate for hard water areas was not included in the package. But after one quick message, a few days wait and this was received.
I could tell immediately that this shower head had been made with care. A good look over it confirmed that suspicion. I installed it and turned on for a quick test and it is great. The stainless steel nozzle disc points the water exactly where it is wanted. No random streams that go up the wall or onto the rug. No leaks running down because it doesn’t leak like almost every other shower head I’ve ever seen. It comes with a spare (silicone) nozzle disc for houses with higher water pressure. Also a spare set of ion filter stones.

I have had this shower head for over a year attached to my power shower.
With the stainless steel face that comes installed as standard it really does increase the pressure and provides a great showering experience. I tried a normal shower head for a bit recently and it was rubbish compared to this.
Build quality is excellent, solid product. I do live in a very hard water area so you will need to descale this every few months otherwise the holes with clog.
I am not sure about it’s water filtering properties since water flows too quickly through it for anything to realistically happen, however it’s worth it for the pressure alone.
Nothing to dislike, easy swap over from existing shower head and comes with spare pebbles. We live in a soft water area so limescale isn’t a problem anyway, neither is water pressure. With this shower the water is finer and softer and I think we are using less water as well. Great produc
So decided to have a look at these as one of our electric showers has rubbish output pressure, ordered arrived next day, easy to install the head onto the hose by mean of standard thread fitting, as soon as switched on could see the difference, as ot descorbes water is slowed through the mineral balls and then forced through the minute holes on the head thus more force and as such less water used and wasted, so far so good great buy and recommend.
We have very hard water and I was regularly descaling my shower tiles to keep them looking and feeling nice. My daughter bought one of these shower heads and recommended it to me. I cleaned my shower tiles and descaled them until they were smooth and shiny and then fitted this new shower head. Weeks later my tiles are still limescale free.

Really makes our low-pressure shower feel like a power wash! The water comes out in such fine jets that the mist steams up the bathroom more quickly, which can be a problem if yours in poorly ventilated. Unsure if it makes hard water any softer, but my hair and skin certainly feel lovely afterwards. The handle is light and easy to install and appears surprisingly well made for the price. Love that the refill beads don’t come in a big disposable plastic cylinder like with a similar other brand.

I am you basic twenty something female, don’t know anything about plumbing or water pressure etc that kind of thing. I live in a bungalow in a low water pressure area. The cold water tank is in the attic with the hot water tank just below it so this makes the water pressure worse as my shower installation is directly from the hot water tank. I am also in a hard water area so the old head “furs up” with limescale. My son had a shower when visiting me a few weeks ago and said the pressure was so bad it was like having a watering can above you! The water definitely feels softer. My son used to get red blotches on his body when coming out of the shower. Since using this he is ‘blotch free’. My wife loves it it too – trust me she’s normally very fussy. I’ve read somewhere that you can add white balls to the head. The white ball adjust the water’s pH. I’ve ordered white balls.

I received my shower head quickly and straight away I noticed an increased pressure (using the fine holed stainless plate).
I live in a low pressure are with hard water and after a month and a half of use I have noticed a definite decrease in the amount limescale that would normally be visible on my tiles and shower door.
The captured limescale and sediment is even visible within the shower head body where the beads are.
I did have a slight issue trying to unscrew the end of the shower head to try out the other rubber plate, but i got in contact with Magic Home EU’s customer support and they were extremely friendly and helpful.

I was working abroad for a month and knew from previous experience the damage the water in Gozo did to my hair and skin. This year I decided to invest in a shower filter to try and stop my hair turning to straw. This product works! Hair and skin still nice and soft after showering 2-3 times a day (due to heat). Added bonus was that it actually made the water pressure about x3 stronger. Really happy with this purchase. Easy to assemble and the refill balls are an added bonus. I brought it home with me and its also improved water pressure in my own shower, although not to extent it did abroad. A cheap fix to my issues, would 100% recommend!
This was really easy to set up and gives a really nice jet of water. My husband even commented on how nice it was, it’s a very fine jet, almost a mist, and it’s pleasant on the skin. I don’t know if I can notice a difference in the water, which is what I’d purchased it for. We have very hard water and I was looking for something to help. It’s definitely not got any worse but I haven’t noticed a vast improvement. I’ll keep using it as I like the water flow, hence the 4 stars.
Really like the shower head and what it does, however it is really heavy and at the moment we can’t have it on anything but rain otherwise it jumps off the fitment. Hopefully once we find a better fitment this will be resolved. Looking forward to a massage shower.

I have to say I was pretty sceptical about this product but needed a new shower head and thought I’d give it a go.
I have suffered with incredibly dry skin all my life, especially on my arms. Having changed to this shower head, all of a sudden my dry skin has improved, with pretty much NO dry patches on my arms – I haven’t changed anything in my routine, literally just the shower head!
It has definitely improved the water quality, it feels much softer. I think the water pressure is slightly more powerful than previously but I can’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference.
My only complaint is that water drips a lot from the shower head – I’m not sure if it’s how I’ve installed it, or something to do with our shower.
Yes, I like this shower head. I think the spray pattern adjustment flick switch is better than the usual rotary adjustment fond on most shower heads. I’m fairly convinced that the shower feels more powerful although the spray pattern isn’t as wide as most shower heads so it takes a little getting used to. I’m thinking of buying another one for the mixer shower in the bathroom.
There are three settings, 1 and 3 are easy to switch between. However positioning the switch to 2 needs a soft touch.

Currently living in an extremely hard-water area of London. Not sure how effective is against heavy limescale, but figured it was worth a try at the great price and my hair feels cleaner after a wash now. The item came with extra cleaning balls. This is a great product and offers great value for money. We had rather weak dribbly showers and changing the heads on them both worked a treat. They are now like power showers and offer a much more refreshing experience. I’d happily recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their shower performance.
Myself I find the ionic shower head great. The water pressure is good and it makes you feel very refreshed.
But my Partner finds the pressure does not suit him not strong enough. But says he will get used to the pressure. So he likes the shower head.
As I live in a very hard water area I needed to replace the shower head and chose this from the reviews. I was expecting an improvement but what I have got is a truly lovely shower experience whenever I use it. My family live up north and the water where they live is always so soft and this gives me the exact same feeling, My granddaughter loves it and I wish I had got this much sooner. I have fibromyalgia and can find some showers are actually painful. I am so delighted that this is both soft and refreshing and I come out feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. You will not be disappointed.
Very good quality item, looks nice, water feels so soft, easy to instal, very well made. I had my parents visiting and I had to order one for my mum as she loved it so much altough she is very picky, old-fashioned and wouldn’t normally buy anything unusual like this. But she felt the difference on her skin & hair.
If you have low water pressure and are looking for something to turn your shower into a power shower then this item isn’t for you. That said, if you have low water pressure and want to turn a unacceptable shower into an acceptable one, then this shower head does the trick. It doesnt so much as increase the water pressure but focuses it so that you get a more intense spray centralised to where you are standing. It has solved the problem I had with one of my showers so much so that I am almost certainly going to buy another one for the en suite. Like I say, set your expectations too high and you wont be happy, be realistic and this is a very good, value for money investment.
This works really well on my electric shower. I am in a ring main and have fluctuating pressure, this shower head evens it out. I also have long hair and it rinses shampoo out well. It has also helped my eczema/dry skin. My only criticism is that the box doesn’t contain instructions about when to change the replacement stones.
Forget to say; skin feels soooo silky smooth afterwards. Can’t comment on hair. I’m BALD!!
his little shower head is amazing. I have no idea how the beads inside it make the pressure of the water but they just do! I used to have to virtually run around under the old shower head but this one is so powerful its as though I have actually increased the water pressure!
Oh my word this is one of the best shower heads we have purchased over the years.. It has helped with the water pressure in the shower as it would dribble out of the old head… But this has tinier holes and the beads help so much.
I purchased this one as the beads are replaceable which I noticed some aren’t.
My previous shower head had started to fire water jets in all directions due to a build up of lime scale inside the unit. So I decided to replace it (cleaning it wasn’t a great success) and I thought “if I’m going to do it I may as well try for an upgrade”. You know what, I think I may have got one.
The is a lot of rubbish in the sales pitch for these but what it does it restrict the flow rate (increasing the pressure) and agitates the water around the beads causing bubbles to form. This means that you get a ‘lighter’, ‘softer’ stream of water, but at a higher pressure. I imagine it’s a lot like being beaten by a pillow filled with the wings of fairy’s (they should give me a job on their marketing team!)
The head gives a nice wide angle on the ‘rain’ setting and although it feels a lot softer on the skin/face it certainly washes the shampoo etc our of my hair with little to no effort.
If you’re looking for a good replacement shower head that uses a little less water but is equally effective then buy this. If you’re looking for a shower head which changes the colour of your aura then I think you might have to look else where, Narnia would be my first port of call.
had this 3 days now – seems to work really well. Rocker switch changes the setting, and it seems to provide a good, even pressure. The real test here will come over time as the holes seem really small, and our water is hard so limescale is usually an issue with our shower heads.. will update in 6 months!
This shower head cannot increase water pressure as it states, however what it does do is introduce more air into the water and forces it out of much smaller holes in the shower head giving it the impression of higher water pressure. All said, I do love the product. I initially bought it as my existing shower has low pressure and trying to have a shower under a dribble was painfully slow; now I can shower and get my entire body wet and rinse my hair in no time due to the increased area of water flow thanks to the ingenuous head design. I discovered these units in a B&B last summer and monitored reviews whilst weighing up the benefits vs the bad experiences shoppers reported with similar items.
Our water pressure is so low it only just makes the first couple of balls wobble, but the champagne effect at the business end is good.
The rocker switch in the head falls easily to hand and works perfectly once the water is flowing. The centre setting delivers a blend of the two extreme choices … 3 settings … simple.
The actual final section unscrews for cleaning – essential in our hard water environment. The holes appear precision cut and certainly deliver as intended.
The water is softer, the pressure increase doesn’t break our electric shower but does result in a fab clean feeling as you shower.
Thr refills are a nice touch at this price and I would hesitate to argue against buying one as your next shower head.
Very good. This won’t make the water pressure higher – that’s determined by your shower unit – but the spray will be finer with additional jets, creating the effect of more pressure. It’s a big improvement on my standard shower head.
However, thermodynamics aside it provides a nice refreshing shower and is good value for money.
So good ,I like it but the design of the switch needs to be highlighted a different colour as clear now, difficult to find unless you know where it is!.
Anyway, I’ve used it a few times now and the water feels much softer. I’m not sure it’s really improved the pressure but ours was good beforehand so wasn’t that big a deal. I like the 3 different spray options. It feels well made in your hand and doesn’t feel like it’s in danger of falling apart. I’m really pleased with it.
I bought this one and my hair felt better after the first wash. It’s also much better than my previous one because it comes with a refill so it’ll last twice as long, plus it has three different water settings. It’s a bit bulkier but actually looks nicer, I think.
Very pleased, does the job and for the effect it has on softening water it’s definitely worth it.
Good at keeping the flow rate going, and that’s what I wanted it for. Only down side is. When it’s been used the weight of it makes the shower head fall down. So remember to put it up right as far as it can go
Very easy to install – simply remove your own shower head and screw this onto the fitting instead. Couldn’t be easier.
I would have appreciated a heads up about how to change the spray modes. I was trying to turn the metal circle like previous shower heads I’ve had, thinking I had a faulty product, before I noticed the clear plastic switch.
