My crazy dog is able to get out of this harness with ease so was no suitable for him, mainly because of the way the front straps are designed. It does however appear to be well made so should be suitable for dog who walk well on the lead
This is a great harness for a small dog. My Chihuahua has it in 3 different colours in size Baby 2. The grey is very nice & great quality. It seems comfy & doesn’t cut into my baby or slip off like some other makes. Easy to keep clean. Would highly recommend! 🙂
My boxer dogs are starting pulling but not quite as much

We purchased this product after struggling with our GSD being sometimes reactive she walks lovely to heel on a standard collar but has recently when leading upto first season pulling to get to other dogs. This harness gives us complete control and stops her swinging about we purchased the lead as well and it’s the best lead I’ve ever brought not slippy in your hand it’s so good I’m going to buy another as a spare. The harness gives my dog security too I think she thinks we control her better with it. She doesn’t pull into the harness either because she is trained to heel. I feel more confident with This product and it is made really well I also purchased the y belt at the front and have a double lead clip for front d ring and top d ring
Bought this as my dog (Springer Spaniel) constantly pulling and causes himself to choke. This harness is a great price at 25 and is very sturdy. having the clip being on the back instead of the front is great, as it stops the dog from choking themselves, and gives you more control.

Fits like a glove easy to adjust sturdy my girl is comfortable in it secure in it and stops her pulling so hard. This is the second harness I have purchased for her in this range and only needed a second as she loves to throw herself on the floor and roll round so needed a second while the other is drying out. Machine washable withstands her dragging herself across the floor can’t fault these
Harness was very easy to fit and use straight away, front strap is a little fiddly to adjust to allow chest strap to be right distance from front legs. Very easy and quick to put on. We found that for an excitable boisterous 8 month labrador puppy when he was excited he could fairly easily jump, spin and reverse/slip out but has only happened a handful of times. Otherwise good quality.
Have tried other harnesses including copies of this one and none are as well made, durable and stylish at this one!

I’ve sworn by Julius K9 harnesses for years and was reluctant to try this newer design as it seems to have a smaller surface area and different shape to the previous Julius K9 model. I have to say I am equally impressed with this new model. I have Huskies and these harnesses are rolled in, battered by trees and bushes and still last 18months to 2 years without failure. I always recommend julius k9 harnesses to family and friends.

Fantastic quality and wonderful support for my dog in the car. He’d got used to walking just in collar and lead but whenever he’s travelling in the car the harness comes out. He loves it – it means car journeys and it reminds him of he one he had as a pup.
Basically – it’s strong, very sturdy, fits well and both me and my dog are confident with it. I’d recommend. As would my Jazz-dog.

This is the second time I’m purchasing this for my German shepherd and it’s perfect. I’ve tried many in the past but when I discovered this harness I couldn’t believe how sturdy and well made it is. It doesn’t dig into the skin and is adjustable. Overall it’s fantastic quality at a great price.

Just right for my cavalier – other harnesses rubbed his long hair making mats which were hard to comb out. As this one is not fitted under front legs, the problem has disappeared. Also good for dogs which pull
I have owned this product before and have been very satisfied with the quality and workmanship . It is easy to put on and the handle is useful for controlling the dog if another dog becomes aggressive towards mine .
This harness makes taking my dog for a walk a pleasure, instead of “HARD WORK.” I found the harness easy to fit. I have a brilliant lead, light, strong and chew proof. Together these two items are worth there weight in gold. I can enjoy wherever we walk without the dog nearly choking and pulling my arm almost out of it’s socket. She also has so much more time to sniff and walks happily with me. I love the handle on the harness as well. Much easier to control when we decide on a different paths. I only received it yesterday and I am so pleased. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.
Had the larger version for our strong active Beagle x Spaniel for years now, so did look at other options for our new Daschund x Beagle puppy is small but like a very small fast tank that is suprisingly strong. It is ideal , others have commented on loose or rubbing, but it is extremely important to fit correctly and find the right balance in length of belly strap vs chest strap, just a few attempts and I can safely lift him with the back handle, without fear of it slipping off and it does not restrict him at all when running full speed off lead. I bought side velcro patches off ebay for a few quid to personalise and it looks great. He is really keen to don it now as it means it’s fun outside time and he appears very comfortable , as well as securely controlled on lead or restrained in the car! Extremely happy
I really liked this product, I’m not a fan of walking my furry friend by the neck and have brought previous make harness which either didn’t fit right or wasn’t sturdy enough!
The handle on the harness is under rated and always thought why! However after my 22kg lab pup (yes pup) fell in the canal and steep sides he couldn’t get out, i lay on the edge and lifted him out by the handle, no way would i of been happy dragging him out by his collar, i mean if i had to, i would! It held his weight comfortably no choking and was perfect after. No harm done!
The velcro branding on the side has been replaced by velcro labels you can get made on ebay for a few quid, has my number on should i lose him! All in all i do love this harness! What i would love to see is maybe a little more padding in the strap that goes around his body (just because i think it would add a little more comfort)
Pup seems happy in it and after my rescue mission, i cant recommend enough!
Bought a new puppy in 2019 and when we went to dog training almost everyone seemed to have their dogs on a Julius K9 Harness vs connecting the lead to the collar.
It just makes sense and I’ve not used a lead on a collar since. Two years later and the harness still looks like new (after chucking it through the washing machine), really it’s a great quality product.
We’ve just got another new puppy to keep the other dog company and immediately bought another harness.
Really you can’t go wrong, I suspect the harness will outlast your dog. It’s so refreshing to find a modern product that’s priced fairly and built to last.
Bought the k9 baby 2 for my Jack Russell pup while she was growing but it got too small and difficult to remove especially over her head. Decided to buy this as the next size up. It’s slightly big but not too big to use, I’m hoping she will fill out a bit more. Very sturdy and she’s happy wearing it.
Most important the dog likes wearing it more than her other one.

In the last 3 years Our JRT has had several harnesses and they have very quickly worn or broken. On opening this harness I could see it is good quality and sturdy. The wide opening at the front makes it easy for the dog to slip it’s head through. A plus for us as our dog hates things going over his head.
The harness keeps it’s shape well and is easy to do up or undo. Our dog appears to find it comfortable to wear and cannot wriggle out of it.

Unfortunately we ordered the wrong size, but this was really easy to return, we got another one that was correct and it it a very good quality harness, secures our excited cocker spanial without twisting our loosening, we have actually had two of these harnesses as in her excitement, she ate the first one.
This style of harness is easy to put on and comfortable. The drawback is that even properly adjusted it is relatively easy for a panicking dog to reverse out of it.
Good for a steady, well behaved dog.
Not recommended for nervous or untrained dogs like rescues, get a Ruffwear Webmaster instead.

Ordered in august 2020 no issues with it so far. Not very reflective so my dog wears a reflective bandana and has a safety light as well. Handles annoying to grab because it’s Velcro. My dog is long haired, this harness gives her lots of knots. Not suitable for walking fells etc as if you had to grab your dog they’d slip out as it’s only one strap across the front. I have another harness for these situations but just a heads up.your dog could also get out of it if they’re escape artists, mine doesn’t try and is quite happy. Use this one on her for normal pedestrian route walks. Handle is handy for when other dogs approach but again Velcro is unecessary and a hinderance for functionality. Have washed it with no problems. Velcro will catch long fur but not major enough to have to change it just the odd hairs not clumps. Good range of sizes. Easy to put on and off.

The handle on the harness is an excellent feature when I need to quickly bring my puppy to safety. I personally dont like a harness for my dog as it gives her too much strength across her chest which she uses. I use a training lead attached to her harness and her collar to practice lead walking. No pressure on the collar and the ability to use the harness to position her close works for us. The harness is well made, fits well and easy to get on and off. Expensive but certainly worth it.
The dog loves this harness and walks taller wearing it. I think she thinks she’s in the special forces with it on, with its military style. She’s not a ‘puller’ anyway, but this does definitely improve her walking to heel, and she seems to find it comfortable. The only downside is that on her first one the D ring corroded and wore through the heavy duty webbing that attaches it to the harness – disapointing in what is otherwise a top quality good looking harness.
Having used several other types of harnesses. The Julius K9 harness is by far a better fit and my dog certainly likes it. The Burgundy colour is great, it stands out but isnt too over powering.
My dog will almost certainly wont be able to remove this harness her self which is a plus especially at the Vets and when around other dogs at the park.
Would recommend measuring your pet thoroughly to ensure the fit is perfect. Size 0 is ideal for smaller dogs up to 56cm

E’ la seconda che compro per il mio Golden e la trovo supercomoda sopratutto per la maniglia e la facilit ad indossarla. Resiste un paio di anni poi a forza di rotolarsi un po’ di consuma ma non si rompe.
Perfect fit for my parents dog, a collie/lab cross. I couldn’t recommend these harnesses enough, this is the 4th I’ve purchased since all of my dogs have them too. They wear them daily on the beach, in the sea and hiking K9 harnesses are comfortable and very durable and the handle is useful for helping older dogs up rocks etc.

It’s an all round great harness but strap under the neck could be difficult if needed to be done every time. Luckily my dogs small enough her head just slips through without having to constantly undo and redo the Velcro
Come up too big for our border terrier weighing 5kg. Air on the small side when you choose even though we measured it was still too large on its smallest setting. Can’t beat this brand for a harness mind you. Great for the dogs comfort.
Even though he still pulls occasionally, it is far more controlled than when he used to have a collar.
I can’t say he enjoys wearing it, but it doesn’t bother him once it is on.
I bought the size M/0 which is for dogs 14kg and up, my dog is 15kg and the belly strap was on the smallest setting and still a little slack (he is a very lean Cockerpoo with no belly fat), so I sharrtened the strap and it is now a good fit as described in the instructions. (This would probably invalidate any warranty though!)
Great purchase for my small terrier like/sized dog. Size – Mini. Measurements of our dog meant that the Mini size was correct for chest and he was just inside the top end of the weight scale. The product fitted very well and there is still room for adjustment if necessary. Delivery was good as the item packaged to fit through letter box. All round exceptionally good service.

This is a brilliant harness , my cockapoo had already had one but she’s outgrown it now and so ordered her the next size up . Honestly the best harness , was recommended to use one by our breeder and yes there on the expensive size but they get so much wear out of them! my cockapoo looks so comfy in hers and doesn’t mind at all wearing one and I feel so much better than she’s secure and safe!
The harness is very well made and seems really comfortable for our Labrador. The logos on the side are illuminated when it gets dark and I am happy that it is safe and secure when he is wearing it.
It hasn’t stopped him pulling now that he is used to it. But it has taken all the stress off his neck. Is use it to walk and run with him and I’m happy with it.
An absolute godsend. We had a few harnesses, one similar to this one but not nearly as good, another that we had to get her legs through which we had been using until this one. Since getting this harness (yesterday), a) it has been simple to get it on and b) she walks a lot better with this than the others. I had priced buying it locally and it was nearly double the cost so amazon came through again!

We, the dog and I, love these K9 harnesses. The mini fits our Border Terrier perfectly, she loves wearing it, and walks perfectly with it on. They are well made and have loads of useful features, padding, handle, luminous branding etc. Like any harness they are prone to get pretty dirty underneath on muddy walks but that is not a fault. I have dropped one star because the lead attachement ring has rusted on two harnesses now, and on one this wore through the retaining canvas loop which I have had to replace. Another niggle is the velcro side panels, the corners are really sharp and really do need to be rounded off becasue they are very scratchy on bare legs as they are.
This is the second one of these Julius-K9 Harness’s I have bought they are really good, fit easily and seem very comfortable for the dog to wear. One of my son’s dogs is very skittish and has never been good with a harness on, but this one she takes absolutely no notice of, so to me that speaks for itself for comfort. I also like the fact that they are reflective at night, always a bonus when walking your dog in the dark, knowing you can both be seen. I would definitely recommend this product.
Nice looking harness and seems very comfortable to lay down in. My only issue is I have quite a large dog but slim so the strap at the front overlaps the harness body. As this is Velcro sticks to his coat if I’m not careful. I had one previous and cut the strap smaller but ruined it a bit. On the whole the a good safe harness .
Great product; we’ve had Julius K9 harnesses before. It was slightly larger than we needed, but the dog will grow into it, and we had a smaller size for our other dog, so not a problem – just check dimensions carefully
I’d prefer the rigid handle rather than the flexible one that velcro’s flat out of the way (it’s stitched to the harness firmly; other models have a rigid handle that stays proud of the harness) as the idea is to be able to grab your dog if it needs to be held back (while it learns how to socialise for example). Really pleased. Lost 1 star for ‘stretch’ as, well it doesn’t, so not sure why this is an option; no complaints about the item at all
It fits securely and looks neat. It’s easy to slip on but I found the clasp hard to undo until it had been used for a while. My main requirement was a grab handle but the Velcro inside the handle defeated the purpose. I have now removed it and the handle is open and easy to grip.at all times.
My JR likes it so I am pleased with my purchase.

Absolutely perfect! I can never fault Julius harnesses at all. My pooch has had them since he was old enough to walk outside, I never realised how handy they were until a recent walk at the beach turned into us getting cut off by the tide come in and us having to wade to safety. The water was rather deep and the handle on the harness enabled me to be able to lift my pooch above the water and help him swim. Honestly amazing harnesses and will be used for life
The dog seems happy! Size 1 fits my medium sized labradoodle well. She’s approximately 25kg and stands 22 inches to the shoulder. It looks smart and time will tell how durable it is! This is the first harness that my dog has allowed me to fit without her fussing or trying to escape, so – so far, so good! The colour is Bordeaux and it looks lovely against her black coat.
Decided to purchase this harness for our pup as both our adult dogs have the same harness and have had no issues. The harness has always been very sturdy and holds the dogs when they’re trying to pull and the handle comes in handy when having to hold the dogs back. Our adults dogs have always seemed comfortable when wearing they’re K9 harness. My pup (shar pei) had issues with the harness though with it chaffing under his arms so had to result in putting a collar on.
Feel this product is really secure and no chance of your dog escaping out of it. My dog has managed to slip other harness’s. The handle on the top allows you to support the dog in/out of a car. The ring attachment for the lead is large enough to leave the lead attached while you secure the dog to a seatbelt attachment before detaching the lead so the dog is secured at all times. I have bought 2 sizes because I have 2 dogs both are good fit if you follow the measuring instructions as directed. I bought the mini mini and the mini. Do what the measuring guide says and go a size up if your dog is the upper end of a measurement. You can’t go wrong very adjustable.
This is the fourth type of harness I have purchased and by far the best for comfort and security. I have a 12 kg Cocker Spaniel and purchased the mini size as a friend had one of these harnesses that I could try on my dog first. My dog seems to like it and it is easy to put on with a loop over her head and belt under her chest.
Bought this so my baby would be safe in the car but now we use it all they time. She likes to pull at the lead and I don’t like pulling at her neck too much also easy to put on and take off and to grab her by the loop! The only negative point I would make is be careful what size you order, our was between sizes so I bought bigger but I’m not sure that smaller would have been even better.

Bought a size 0 for our young female Siberian husky. Very comfy and perfect for walks and training. However, she managed to slip out of the harness so we bought the front add on strap and now she can’t. Highly recommend but if your dog is flexible get the front add on.
I ordered 2 of the Julius K9 harnesses for my two cocker spaniels. My puppy wears his with no problem. My 6 year old wore it twice but now cries and runs away when he sees it. He’s always worn a harness so not too sure what the problem is as he’s never done this before! It fits perfectly but he really doesn’t like it. I’ll save it for when the puppy is older.
This is a great bit of kit, really sturdy and well made with the bonus of it being easy to put on and having reflective logos and chest strap etc.
It’s a lot beefier than the old soft harness my sprocker had, and he sometimes tries to hide away when he sees it come out the cupboard, once it’s on though, he has no issue at all, and runs around like an idiot to his hearts content.
I have this harness in various sizes for my dogs, just bought for my 12 week old chi pup (size Baby 1, seen in video).
They are brilliant harnesses. Sturdy, hard-wearing, secure (can’t easily back up out of it!), adjustable and most importantly comfy for the doggo!
It’s actually helped rescue one of my collies on a couple of occasions too thanks to the nifty handle on the larger sizes that can be grabbed to fish them out of stick spots!!!
Can’t praise these enough. I bought a different (cheaper) harness for the new pup, because I didn’t want to have to fork out for two of these as he grows, but after one day of using the cheaper harness I’ve realised the julius K9 brand is genuinely superior and worth every penny.
Some reviews I see say they cause dogs discomfort and injury behind the front legs, but i have not experienced this with any of my dogs and think its just important to make sure you have the right size and that its adjusted appropriately for your dog 🙂
Great harness, the dog was a bit scared of it at first as it’s a lot bulkier than his previous one, fits great, however if you’re hoping this harness will completely stop your dog pulling- it won’t. We tried a few harnesses as our cocker puppy grew. Most were pretty rubbish and I was glad to get rid as she grew in size. We have now had the Julius for about 6 months and it still looks as good as new. It must be very comfy on the dog as she shows no sign of irritation and in the heat, I dunk it is a cold water bucket to soak up some water and it acts as a cooling jacket for her as well. We also have a proper cooling jacket. The build quality is great. It gets a lot of wear and tear but shows no sign of it.

I have two very wiggly sausage dogs and have struggled to find harnesses that I can quickly and easily get on and off, but these are perfect! Fewer nylon straps mean less chafing and the dogs are visibly more comfortable in these harnesses for long periods of time than others I’ve tried. The handle on top is also really useful to quickly grab them if necessary when they’re off the lead. I would highly recommend these harnesses; it’s absolutely worth spending the money.

My gran recently get herself a 2yo German Shepherd and wanted to get a harness that would allow freedom for the dog to play, as well as the ability to gain control of the dog when she gets excited about seeing other dogs. This harness fits all the needs and wants and was 50% cheaper than on the Julius-K9/Pets at Home websites what were selling them at 40.
If you have a dog that is excitable or you feel you need to control this is the harness for you. It comes in all sizes and colours. We got the Red one and it allows you to see the dog no matter where they are. The handle on top is great at holding them and the fit is easily adjustable and easy to put on/take off the dog.

This product is absolutely brilliant. I have a strong, forward going year old Cocker spaniel who was extremely hard to walk. From the moment I put this harness on she is so much easier to walk, hardly any pulling and if she does it doesn’t seem to have the same effect as if she pulled on a normal leash. I would highly recommend this product – I even bought one for my Cavalier King Charles spaniel so now two easy dogs to walk!
I am really pleased with this harness. I have a one yr old male springer and he has been a challenge lead walking. I have tried various methods and products to help with this but he still loves a pull. I tried a HALTI and he learned to pull even harder. From the moment I fitted the K9 he relaxed. He still like a lunge now and then but not only does he not pull against it , he appears to like wearing it ! Hopefully it will support my ongoing training
My staffy girl loves it and it helps also with her constant pulling shes not the most friendliest of dogs so its good to know i have her well harnessed in when passing other dogs as she managed to slip other harnesses which has proved eventful to say the least
I ordered her a size 2 and she weighs 26kg bit on the fat side but she loves her food i would estimate this would fit any dog between 25kg – 45kg both straps are adjustable and i have hers on the smalles

Am keeping for when dog grows. Design is different from the baby 1 and baby 2 and not really suitable at the moment. The front Velcro strap, to my mind, is back to front. The close over should be on the outside, not next to the neck. Harness has to fit snug as dog CAN pull out of it.
I love this harness. It made me continue to love my dog.
To sum up: He is a 30kg labrador with tunnel vision for squirrels and tennis balls. I’m a 5 foot 1 woman with limited patience. Some days I may as well just put on roller skates and enjoy the ride. But with this harness, I don’t have to unless I’m feeling particularly carefree.
You have much better control as the harness holds the major pull points and the handle allows you to keep them close if needs be. I now only need to lay my hand on the handle for him to recognise that the titting about is over.
Added bonus: I’ve also used the handle to pull the dope out of a misjudged deep lake. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.
