Lovely harness BUT!
I really love this harness, i bought a O as suggested on the diagram, it was too big for my pooch, i fastened the velcro tighter and had to use it as our harness had snapped.
Wish id have sent back immediately as its becoming more evident every day that it’s too big for my pooch, actually gutted as it’s not cheap, will have to save to buy the next size down.
As always Julius k9 lives up to its name with quality, practicality and comfort! Love that it has the handle on top and has a torch holder and side bags can also be purchased and attached. So good for growing with your dog too! My last one lasted my dog from 3 months til adulthood. Only reason I’m replacing it is cuz my dog ate the last one LOL!
Worth the money for the comfort and safety of your little pup.
Fantastic harness!! Our pomeranian loved the Baby1 size from 8 weeks old when she arrived with us until now at 5 months when she could still wear it for another month or so but we will be ordering Baby2 so she has more room. With such a trusted make, we had no concerns about our pups safety or comfort, she enjoyed the harness from first wear. The labels are velcro so we were able to buy personalised ones as she aids my sons anxiety. I bought a cheaper harness initially which was uncomfortable on her and less sturdy so with enough wriggling she could get her front paw trapped which is why we paid extra for this one, heartily recommend.
Good, strong and comfortable
As expected by one of the best brands of dog harness, this is very strong, sturdy and reliable. The amount of adjustments allow for any shape of dog within the set parameters of each size bracket. Wipes clean very easily and the glow in the dark patches work very effectively. These patches can be changed out to say pretty much anything if you look on Amazon and ebay, allowing for greater personalisation. Make sure you but the real deal though as there are many fakes out there and they fail on you!
Great harness if sized righ
Lots of people use these because they are great and look cool. I got the sizing slightly wrong as our dog is so tiny. But what I would say if that regardless of that there is no doubt less security due to the fact it doesn’t secure over the front legs seperatley. Also it doesn’t seem to completely stop pulling in the neck. Other than that it’s very handy for putting on/off and is very sturdy.
Julius K9 Harness
We used to use a harness were our puppy’s head was put through, she got so distressed as she didn’t like this being put on. After talking to a friend who uses the K9 harness and had nothing but good things to say about it we decided to purchase one. Best thing we have bought for her training. She doesn’t get so stressed out now as you just place the harness over her head not through it. Thank you so much for designed such a comfortable harness.
Small dog Houdini
Went off the given measurements and size, this fits but the chest strap seems to close to her front legs. Even with it snugly fastened she managed to pull herself out of it!. It does work ok when she is walking in front leading the way as she pushes into it. The build quality is great, pity there isn’t an option to have your dogs name on it through, gets tiring keep telling people she isn’t called Julius! All that said, much prefer her on this to a collar.

I bought the mini mini size for my coton de tulear and it fits perfectly.
The reason I wanted to try it was because I wanted to try and reduce the rubbing on his chest and front legs to limit knots. So far so good!
He doesn’t cower when I put this one on him as he hated his other harnesses because there wasnt much room to get his fluffy head in and the clip kept catching his fur.
I cant say that its stopped him from pulling but I feel like he doesn’t pull as much now. He only pulls for the first 5 minutes anyway.
First time using it someone stopped us to ask about the harness!

Now have two well-behaved dogs going walkies!
Just back from first walk with my two dogs wearing the harnesses. The little one Teddy (Maltese/Shitzu) aged 4, didn’t like it at first and kept turning round but soon got over that. The other one, Benji, a 10 year old Cavachon, was very happy to put it on (means walkies!) but is always easy going about the peripheral stuff in life anyway.
I kept the walk short in case they were unhappy about wearing what are quite stiff harnesses (hope they soften up a bit) but have to report that I was amazed at how much better they behaved than usual – no pulling on the lead! I’ve used soft Puppia harnesses before, which look very cute, but aren’t designed to do the same job as these.
I bought “mini-mini” for Teddy and size 0 for Benji and, after adjusting the girths and front strap, both fit really well. They are on the generous size and I went by the weight as well as the chest measurement.
Very impressed and glad I bought them. You won’t regret this purchase!

Bought this as I didn’t like the idea of having to pull on my dogs neck collar when I needed him to speed up (such as when crossing a busy road) as he is a Westie 12 yrs old. Several friends have these on bigger dogs so thought I’d give it a go. Secure, easy to use fitting, fully adjustable and florescent writing that is reflective at night so good for others visibility. My dog seems to love it (only use when I’m out on walks) as happy to run about over the park with it on (as doesn’t restrict his movement). I would thoroughly recommend as secure and safe and not using a lead on a dogs collar protects your dogs neck. 5 Stars.

Die Gre 2 passt fr meinen Labrador perfekt! Ich habe noch den Brustgurt dazu genommen, nur um sicher zu gehen dass er nicht rausschlpft.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es weil ich das befestigen des Klettverschlusses vorne etwas mhsam gefunden habe mit dem einfdeln und keine Gebrauchsanleitung dabei war. 25 finde ich fr dieses Geschirr total OK!
An improvement on my old harness....
Dog harnesses are tricky – on the one hand you want something your dog can’t “back out of” but on the other hand you don’t want something that takes 5 minutes to get on and off your dog? My old one the dog had to step into, which meant I had to pick up her paw and feed it through the harness – what a hassle to get on and off every time! This one is very simple to clip on and off, and while I suppose if she pulled backwards and I pulled toward me she might be able to back out of it, I don’t think it would be easy for her to do. It is very well made with thick straps and padded in part so should be comfy for the dog . I will say that the very large signage on the side had people in the park and on the bus calling my sweet girl dog “Julius” which was pretty funny – the name on either side comes off as it’s on velcro, so you do have the option of not having the large lettering on the sides.
Time will tell
I’m a bit disappointed in the overall quality and poor attention to the detail of this harness; the webbing is too wide for the plastic clips and will very probably fray at the edges, the material is very stiff and doesn’t easily conform to my JRT’s body shape. The size Mini-Mini is recommended for his dimensions but I think he will be able to reverse out of it when adjusted to the correct position and therefore I will be adding an additional security clip to his collar.
On the plus side; he hasn’t been pulling on the lead anything like as much since having it so it does appear to work as stated, time will tell if this is a long term affect though!
I have added a star as the product has proved to be robust in use. It’s been to the beach frequently and has survived swimming and salt water although has suffered from some staining which is to be expected.
Great product for most dogs!
Great well made product!! I can’t say that it stops my dog pulling but certainly makes him easier to control. It’s the best harness that I have come across and I have tried alot. This is my third one as somehow my dog seems to be able to escape from it when rummaging through thick bushes! I don’t think this is a product fault as the fastening is very secure, my dog is just a master of escape! Would definitely and will probably have to buy again!!
Great quality Harness.
This harness is lovely …I bought it for my 13 week old Lhasapoo and purchased the BABY 2. It fits fine on the smallest it will go and there is plenty of room for growth . My dog doesn’t struggle when he has it put on and he walks lovely in it . There are lots of fakes out there and I was unsure about this one as it say ” Glows in the dark”… the ones advertised and on K9 website they say Glow in the dark”…. apparently after some research the Velcro side labels can say either . It did panic me at first but the quality speaks for itself . This is a genuine product and I’ve researched it over and over and can now confirm that it is an original. A great price for the Baby 2 as it was on offer . I got the black one and although my dog is black you can still see them because of the reflective strips and straps . So pleased I bought this as I know I will be now purchasing the larger one as he grows. Fast delivery too
Better than the Halti harness we bough
We bought a Halti harness on the recommendation of the people we got the dog from and he managed to tear one of the straps inside of a week! He’s had this for nearly two weeks now and, although he’s not overly fond of it, it’s strong, durable and comfortable enough that he tolerates it. He is a thin but sturdy dog so it doesn’t sit as well on him as it possibly should do. We’ve tightened the various straps but he has a broad chest and thin neck so can get his lower jaw under the front strap when he’s letting us know he’s not happy about being in a harness, mostly because it’s a lot of material for a warm summer’s day. Most of the time he wears this happily, will stop him if he tries to sprint after something without causing him any undue harm beyond being stopped mid-run and most of the time he tolerates it well. Would definitely buy again.
Fabulous for my Cockapoo
This harness is great for my Cockapoo. I love the handle, the fact that it’s reflective and the size of the clip in the back. Washes well too! This is the first time I have purchased this harness type and it is the best I have bought so far for Monty. However my dog walks in front of me and the harness suits this. If you have a dog that walks behind, and occasionally need to be ‘pulled’ I can imagine the harness design not been beneficial as it could lift the harness.
I am a dog walker and deal with lots of different designed harnesses, this one is great as it stays in place whilst the dog does their dog thing!
Brilliant harness! My dog loves it!
The harness is easily put on and taken off meaning there is no hassle to be had with an excitable dog before a walk. The handle on the back is great allowing for you to hold your dog in a way that doesn’t pull on their collar if needed. The fluorescent colour is brilliant for nighttime walking making it easier to see the dog with a torch and for cars to see if walking around pavements.
Strong and well made
This is the 4th no pull harness I’ve bought for my 35kg Staffy x Mastiff in 18 months. The first 2 snapped because he pulled too much, the third one was great – until I had to drag him away from a woman in the vets with 2 kittens in a cat carrier and the elastic straps that did the harness up stretched and snapped. So I was recommended the Julius K-9 by a friend. I’ve only had it for 5 days but it’s working well. No elastic straps to snap, the fastener on this is made from very strong material the same as seatbelts. The chest strap is the same and is fastened by Velcro and easily adjusted. All in all it’s well made, strong and glows in the dark.

Bought a Size 1 … slightly too big for my medium sized bordoodle but it’s not a problem…. but it has made a massive difference for him over wearing a collar ( other harnesses he’s ether broken , escaped from, eaten through).
He’s gone from pulling (no matter what type of collar) to now mostly walking by my side. He still pulls on the way to the park to play…but it’s much easier to reign him in.
Wife and kids also feel confident using this – as it’s easy on , easy off, easy to attached the lead.
Everything about it is big and chunky. No fiddling with clips and hoops and fiddly fitting instructions.
After a couple of weeks use it’s definitely a good purchase.
This is a great harness for my Labrador cross Flat Coated Retriever in nearly every way but with one big note of caution – it is not 100% secure and even with correct adjustment my dog can reverse out of it. Very luckily when she did this we were on a walk in a field well away from roads and traffic and it did not have serious consequences, if it had happened walking on a pavement by a busy road there could have been a very different outcome. I’m now trying to find a way of linking her collar to the harness as a type of safety mechanism so if she tries to reverse out of the harness again she’ll still be attached by the collar. Do be careful if opting for this product.
Julius is the best harness you could by. The offer different styles and sizes to fit any dog and there needs. If you have a stronger dog this is ideal as the harness clip is located in the centre of there back which is perfect to give that little tug or nudge in the right direction. Great when use with Flexi Lead for recall training as dogs will feel as if there off there lead. Little flick on the lead allow the dog to learn the response to come back in addition to calling out. There great products made to a extraordinary high standard for even the toughest of dogs and chewers. Product is stitched well, has adoptions for flash light or other accessories and the craftsmanship won’t fail you. You’ll feel save knowing this harness will give you full control of your dog and feel safe while using it. Theres many types of harness offered by Julius all to a high standard and quality. Don’t pay pets @ home prices for a 2nd rats harness. Everyone I know involved with dogs professionals recommend Julius.
High quality & durable harness well worth the money
Got this for my labrador( he is quite a big dog even for labrador and size 3 seems to fit him perfectly), it is a first harness as previously we used the neck collar, the dog seem to really like wearing it and did not try to take it off. It is also very durable we had this for around 6 months and it doesn’t show any signs of wear even though he goes swimming with it and doing lots of other outdoor activities. It also has visibility stripes and it reflects the light which is great for evening walks. Overall very happy with the item.

I have 7 of these for my dogs they are perfect make sure tho u get the right fit as can be a tad on big size for my shitzu we use mini mini which is perfect but u would not nec think that size as it sounds too small.. just make sure u measure it dog as if it’s too loose it defeats the purpose and can rub but when fitted perfectly they are the best out there!!! Plus for a nervous dog that little bit of weight helps ease some stress

Ease in putting it on; very smart looking; good design. Once our dog got used to it, he jumps around absolutely excited and actually sits down and will put his head inside and give you his paw to enable you to clip the harness on as well. Of course the excitement is due to the fact, he knows he is going out, but as he is happy and helps you to put it on means it’s suitable.
However I can’t say that it prevents my dog from pulling/dragging me, but since I don’t know how he walks on just a lead to his collar, I think this is fine
Good support for dog and owne
Have a 40kg nervous Swiss Shepherd Dog who pulls on the lead. Have tried Halti harness and lead which did not support either of us. This is an easy piece of equipment to put on the dog. He was instantly comfortable. Its been no quick fix( it may never be) as he may always have a tendency to pull, however, along with patience and perseverance it will get better. Used a bungee lead with this harness which reduced strain on arm and shoulder.
Great product but the sizing information is very misleading. The description on Amazon fitted the size and weight of my dog. However when I tried it on, it was massive! Looking at the label the size was the same ( 1) but the weight was a lot bigger than initially listed and I ended up with a harness for a 30kg dog, when my dog is at her heaviest at 20kg. As I didn’t spot the mistake, until we’d returned from a very uncomfortable walk ( catching on the top of dog’s legs), the item is now non returnable. I’m not happy as it’s totally unsuitable for my dog and it wasn’t cheap. Other than that I can recommend but check your sizes very carefully- apart from being uncomfortable, the dog can slip out.
Ollie is a medium sized dog but very sturdy and strong. I didn’t like using a collar on him as it pulled on his neck. This harness is brilliant, very strong,and he appears to be very comfortable in it. It’s also so easy to put on, in fact as soon as it appears he puts his head thru it, and it’s just a matter of clicking the one strap around his tummy. People who make negative comments about the size not fitting really need to check their dog. I went onto the K9 Julius website of how to measure your dog and chose the size recommended, fits perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent harness for giant breeds!
Absolutely love this harness for our 65kg Pyrenean Mountain Dog. He’s a bit excitable when out walking, only because he loves to meet everyone he sees **So the sturdy handle on the back of this harness is great to keep him close as people pass. I love the strong, adjustable velcro strap at the front too. The straps are wide & durable, and the metal ring for attaching the leash appears to be almost equestrian standard, perfect for giant breeds. The only thing they could improve on this harness would be to add some padding to the straps for comfort & to avoid chafing. But that’s something I can add myself. Overall, this harness is absolutely great value ( )
El arns va genial, he tenido ya varios y como este ninguno, es cierto que es un poco mas caro que los dems, pero al final lo barato sale caro y si sumo lo que me gast en los dems seguro que supera lo que cuesta este. Recomendable 100% he estado haciendo el Camino de Santiago con l, 140 km en total y el arns le ha resultado comodsimo y es muy resistente, esta impecable.
Safe,secure & not irritable
I very rarely write reviews but I absolutely love and rate this harness! It keeps our pup safe and secure and doesnt irritate her as some other harnesses have. The quirky velcro labels that are also available have been a real talking point. We can easily grab the dog if needed by using the handle on top, it has gotten her out of a few pickles. We are using a mini-mini at the moment for our 9 month old frenchie (she is small for her age though) will have to purchase next size up soon and I will not hesitate to buy the Julius-K9
super harness
was worried about sizing the harness as i bought a size 1 and my german shep was only 5 months old but it is fully adjustable and theres plenty of growing room in it . still rides up at back a little otherwise i would have given it 5 stars. however it reduced pulling almost straight away and the handle gives more security if needed although i would prefer if handle was padded. very well made though ,just make sure your lead is up to same standard
What a difference!
It took a little while to get the harness correctly fitted but once it was on our steam train of a dog there was a noticeable difference in his behaviour. He no longer barks like a lunatic when I put on my walking boots to take him out, no jumping up at me when I go to put my jacket on. In fact he is much more calm when he has this harness on. He still pulls on the lead when we’re off out to the fields to play fetch but that is just pure excitement at going to play his favourite game. He can’t get there quick enough! He’s much more relaxed on the way back home. The harness feels great quality and it’s reflective parts were a big seller for me as we are in a rural area with no street lighting so he lights up well when traffic passes in low light conditions. All in all a superb product that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Looks good, quick to put on, but cut my dog
This is a good harness but be careful fitting it. Initally the straps were too close to my dogs legs which meant when he was running it was cutting into him under his “armpits”, to the extent its drawn blood. Might be an idea for manfaturer to add padding here to improve comfort. Have readjusted chest strap so the harness sits quite far down his back but this seems to have sloved the issue. Oether than thats its great and i can pick him up by the handle which has come in handy.
The Best Harness You Can Buy!
I absolutely love these harnesses. The mini size is perfect for my pug and well worth the money. Unfortunately my dog has a thing for chewing the slot of the buckle completely flat and if I’m careless with it for a second I have to buy another. That’s my fault, not the harness’s and I happily buy another every time. So I was horrified when I tried to replace it again the other week and it is now only available to Amazon Prime customers. I’m not happy. But if you’re a Prime Customer you won’t find a better harness. Edited:woo hoo! It’s not Prime only any more. I’ve already bought another!
Well made. Highly recommend for labs
I gave it 5 stars because just for once my arms weren’t dragged out of their sockets and my dog didn’t sound like she was being strangled to death. I have a young lab. If you have an energetic working type of lab you will need two as my dog forgot completely about wearing it and rolled, something she does frequently. It got mud encrusted but cleaned up well. It doesn’t stop pulling completely but it makes it more bearable. She did not dislike wearing it and made no attempt to get it off. Maybe I am wrong but this harness signals to her we are seriously walking together and I still use collar and lead for purely recreational. Well made and sturdy. I had another harness which fastened around her body and she ate through it on the car ferry. This is better. I have ordered another one
This is our third Julius-K9 harness: we had one for our late wirehaiered pointer and giant schnauzer, both medium sized.
This, a small, is for our new rescue, a Cavalier King Charles.
Like the rest, it is very secure, very well made and of course better for the dog that using a collar. It gives easy control and security – and is also very smart!
The only point I’d make is that, as it is a one-clip harness, long-bodied dogs such as greyhounds are likely to be able to back out of the harness. We tried one on our rescue Saluki, and he was out of it in a minute. This is not a design fault – simply a factor of long-bodied breeds ownership. Fro such breeds, a two clip harness , although a little more fiddly, is essential.
Perfect Fi
I bought 2 of these harnesses for both of my Dogue De Bordeaux Mastiffs and they fit perfectly. There is a Velcro strap that goes around the chest area which can be altered to fit and also the strap under the body can be altered too. Sturdy handle on the top which gives extra hold which is great as one of my dogs is quite feisty and we can hold her back better this way than with just the lead. The front Velcro chest strap and name on the side glow in the dark when car lights hit which is great when near busy roads, also leaves a little glow on the name plate in total darkness. Great harnesses would defiantly recommend.
While my puppy still wears a collar with her ID tag on, we use a Julius K9 harness to clip her lead on when we go out for walks. There’s plenty of debate on why a harness is so much better for your dog’s well being than being led on a collar, and it doesn’t take much to realise why. The loads and forces that come down the lead are spread around the body of your dog and not concentrated on their neck. I’d not really thought about it until shopping for our puppy prior to getting her, however especially when on her longer training lead your dog can already be at quite a speed when they reach the end of the lead’s travel and are brought to an instant stop. I’d much rather that force isn’t around her neck.
We have a young Border Collie and as she grows I plan to replace my current mini sized harness with progressively larger ones. Do pay close attention though to the sizing as our harness was initially a little too big when we bought it, however she’s growing at such a rate that she’s filled it already.
I have recently got a gorgeous Chi. Feeling rather overwhelmed with everything out there, i had bought a few harnesses beforehand. They just didnt fit right. He slipped one, the other seemed too tight etc. So after doing a bit of research I came across this one. A bit more expensive then most others but thought I’d give it a go as the reviews were great. And Wow I love it!!! Its first perfectly with plenty for room for growth (he’s full size but LOVES his food, so the belly is definately getting rounder haha) not only does it fit right but it looks great and very good quality and professional looking, Ive had a few comments from other dog owners on my daily walk. I’ve also discovered that I can get replacement velcro tags at the side of the Harness, personalised with his name!! overall I’m very happy with the harness and can see this lasting me a long time……think I’ll get another so I can have a change of colour 🙂
We bought this for our 6 month old GSD mostly to keep him secure in places like the car. We were able to fit him with a size 2 on the smallest setting which was great because this should hopefully fit him even as an adult. We use the harness whenever we go to a place where we know he will get over excited as the handle makes for much easier holding of him steady and means he isn’t choking himself like he can sometimes do when we just have his lead attached to his flat collar. The clip and strap feel secure and when fitted correctly he shouldn’t be able to back out of it. We have also ordered some bespoke name patches from the Julius K9 website so I’m looking forward to those arriving in the next few weeks.
Absolutely love this harness! We have purchased 6 harnesses in the last 3 months for daisy and none seemed to fit her chest very well, seen lots of positive reviews on the Julius k9 and decided to give it a go, we also ordered the chest pressure distribution pad for extra comfort and not disappointed at all. I think they are well priced for the quality and there are much more expensive ones on the market and that don’t come close to this. Going to purchase the orange one for our new rescue Frenchie arriving Sunday worth every penny and you can get customised name tags for the sides.
This is a brilliant harness. Robust, strong, well made and very easy to fit to the dog.
We measured our 17-week old pup and the size 0 is a perfect fit for his measurements and weight, with plenty of room to grow yet. I also bought a size 1 which was a great price from Amazon Warehouse deals – it’ll fit him eventually but even though his measures are only slightly smaller his weight is a lot less and so it’s the two combined that’ll give you the best idea of fit.
We use it mainly to keep him safe in the car with a seatbelt lead to secure him but it’s also comfortable for him to be walked with too.
We chose the camouflage print because it should disguise the mud that I’m sure he will attract!

I have a border collie cross German Shepherd and I ordered a size 2 for my Dog.
The harness itself is absolutely fantastic and fits like a glove as Ace would say.
Very strong and very robust and I would highly recommend this harnesses to anybody. It keeps your dog secure and your in control. I also love the detachable velcro strips which you can replace with anything of your choice (sold separately) on eBay recommended.
Our cockapoo puppy wears this on walks and appears quite happy with it. Once sized using Velcro straps can be put on and taken off with ease. Very secure – bought this after she wriggled out of her collar on a walk. No chance of escaping with this on. Glow in the dark strips too so can track her in garden these dark winter nights. As she’s grown have altered straps and still plenty of grow room. Like the grab handle which lies flat when not needed.
Very sturdy harness
Bought a black one from pets at home and a red one from here. The red one from amazon was much cheaper that the black one from pets at home. They are both sturdy enough to hold my 2 Labradors back if they see rabbits, cats, other dogs etc. I use the harnesses with Halti leads. (Size 2 harness for my labs)
The only thing is, the harness bought from here, doesn’t light up in the dark as my other harness does so I will buy a reflector for this harness. Overall though, I am very pleased.
Changed my dog walks
This really is a great product. I bought it for my very exitable 1 year old working cocker spaniel. She did tend to walk quite well on a lead but could often encroach ahead and dive to get to birds. We bought this for her comfort also. It’s much easier to control the dog with it and probably feels better for her. She walks lovely on and shows no issue that it’s uncomfortable. It helped with the slight pulling also as the strap across the chest is a much better restraint. They fit nice and have plenty of room for adjusting. I would recommend these harnesses to anyone, strong, sturdy, comfortable and easy to wipe down it put in the washer

The harness is well made and of good quality materials. The stitching is neat and overall looks very appealing to the eye and my dog looks smart!
It’s great for my strong puller who is anxious and can try and run off if scared so a safe strong harness was most important for me to not loose him. Love him to bits :0)
Size 2 fitted my cross retriever and his only shigjtly slimmer than an actual retriever so isn’t a small dog.
My only small design concern is the wide strapping across his chest, it’s great and keeps him safe and secure but because it’s strong Velcro it can rub my dogs front shoulder hair a little. Although he does pull so does cause this friction himself really. I could make a fleece sleeve to slip I’ve rwith I probably will in time. It’s a small issue compared to whole package and it is a good safe strong harness. I like it and would recommend for pullers as doesn’t hurt the dogs throat as is not too high up like some other harnesses! Top notch !! ;0)
What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Please check for correct size as these come in a vast variety of sizes and it’s so important to get a correct fit. Measure chest girth just behind the front legs for correct size. I bought the mini-mini size for my 10 week old Shiba Inu puppy and he’s still wearing it at 4 months and twice the weight, thanks to the generous adjustment at both the neck and chest, with plenty more growth adjustment left.
He loves wearing it; whenever I get it out for walkies he sits up wagging his tail waiting for me to put it on over his head and clip in round his chest. It’s so simple to put on and take off. He once managed to slip out of it after I loosened the chest strap too much following a growth adjustment. I won’t make that mistake again.
When used with a rain jacket I have the harness over the jacket which helps to keep Alfie snug and warm on a wet winter’s walk. The harness is strong, washes well in the machine and dries quickly over the radiator. The luminous branding is bright and easily seen on a dark night. I can’t fault this product and will buy again when he grows out of this one.

Very good harness.
I really like this product, it’s easy to put on and means that if the dog is pulling on the lead the pressure is taken on the body and not on the neck. I would have given it 5 stars, but the problem I found is that when my dog is moulting the inside fabric of the harness attracts loose hairs like a magnet. It’s so bad that during moulting season I use a different harness instead of the Julius. Hopefully the manufacturer may think about using a different material for the inner lining.
My strong dog isn’t pulling
I decided to leave it a while before writing a review on this as previous reviews were mixed and I wanted to encounter a few excitable triggers for my dog first. I’ve always used a head control lead for my dog but after recent surgery to remove some tumours from his face I couldn’t use it so I bought this. The product is sturdy and strong with no issues on the ring which attaches to the lead although I use a halti lead which I also attach to his collar for extra security. As for the anti pull aspect, it’s fantastic! There is only 17kg between me and my dog so he is very strong on his lead. We have met cats, dogs and even a mouse that was of interest and he has remained completely under my control. I couldn’t recommend this enough 10/10

i originally bought this in size 3 from pets at home when his harness snapped whilst we were in there they gave me a size 3 said it would stop pulling and be wonderful well i went back 4 weeks later as my George had ripped off the back ring with his pulling they couldnt believe it and said must be faulty and replaced again 7 weeks later same happened they checked for teeth marks and found none so i went to write to julius and read up about the harness for a start he was in wrong size hence the strain on the ring and material i found out it has to be measured by kneck and chest gerth properly so i thought i would try one more time but from amazon pets at home think im nuts lol and wow i bought a size 2 he weighs 39kg its a good snug fit with lots of room for opening up straps for extra length
my daughter took him out last night in it and she was amazed at the difference in the pulling now he still pulled but so much less and she was actually in controll instead of a stuborn hard headed Akita
I went out with George again this morning and i could actually walk my boy for the first time in a long time so measurment is the key if he has room to move around he feels he can get loose so the pulling and wriggling is really bad but once he feels secure he walks and yep we still go where george wants to go but i dont mind that anymore coz i dont run behind looking like my arms being pulled off
Strong harness
I bought the mini for my border terrier x Patterdale terrier who is just over 7kg. I think we have tried most harnesses now. This has a nice fit for her. The opening for her head is quite large which is a positive for us as she doesn’t like things going over her head. We have yet to see how reflective it is in the dark. It looks slightly scuffed after a few months of being scraped along walls as is her habit. She doesn’t like wearing a harness or a coat but doesn’t always walk nice on a collar. For the price you get a very impressive product.
My husband had been eyeing this harness ever since we got our now 7-month puppy but they were so expensive that we couldn’t really justify buying it. So, we got a different harness that was great, while it lasted… Our puppy decided that it was the best chew toy and managed to open a hole on the chest in a few weeks so I figured this was the perfect excuse to splurge on a Julius K9 harness. We are incredibly happy with it as it’s super easy to put on and she is always comfortable in it. The quality is fantastic and I can see it lasting for a long time. Putting on her is a breeze and she actually gets excited when she sees it and knows exactly what she needs to do to put it on. Don’t bother with a different harness, you won’t regret getting this one.
Great Control
Can’t rate highly enough. Bought for my 47kg Deerhound. Taking him and his 45kg brother out together for walks on collars and leads was not an enjoyable experience. I initially bought one of the size 3 to try before immediately buying a second, size 2 for the smaller dog. The difference is remarkable. I now have more confidence walking them together and am a lot less stressed. The handle on the top is a bonus and provides even more control especially when we meet up with other dogs they’re keen to get to know. The fit and quality is extremely good. Has to be one of the best on the market.
Today I was out in a field walking my Black Lab in a field and my dog disappeared for a brief second and when I got to him what I had not realised was a disused canal that was full of water.
He was scrabbling to get out but it was a concrete edge he had fallen in. It was a shear drop and he could not get out . I had to get onto met stomach and slide down embankment I could reach his ear grabbed it to bring him closer to me and caught hold of his handle of his harness. How I found the strength to pull a wet lab out, who when dry weighs 30kg I do not know but I got him out. Shaking like a leaf I crawled up embankment with the help of him. Called my husband to come and get us . He had scrapped his front claws right down on the concrete edge,and I’ve got scrapped elbows and knees! But all in all he is ok when we got him home we showered him down. We are sat at home now, he has recovered and he seems ok but myself I think I needed a stiff whisky!

After trying numerous harnesses, finally found one that fits well for our 60Kg Mastiff cross. From pictures, it didn’t strike me as sturdy or robust enough for daily usage and abuse from a very active dog. Don’t let that fool you! I can get on in less that 2-3seconds and comes off almost instantly. The handle at the top is extremely secure and allows you to get a firm grip on your dog. The strap across the chest distributes the weight well and allows you handle powerful dogs with ease (of-course keeping in mind you train them not to pull!). The harness itself is quite light and is comfortable enough for our dog to wear all day on hot summer days walking in the forest or on the beach.

Got Julius k9 a long time ago and never looked back I have the mini mini for a shih tzu (age 3) and size 2 for a lab x shar pei (age 7month) this is the 2nd mini mini I have ordered due to the 1st one being black and getting hot in the sun it’s still got plenty of life left in it to say it’s over a year old my advice would be to go for a colour one as it will stay cooler in summer I went for blue for mini mini and red for size 2 and both are of great quality will deffo recommend

I was recommended these by a friend for my Chi, I was a little worried as on photos sometimes they look a little bulky.
I had nothing to worry about, the baby size 2 fits my Chi perfectly. It’s noce and light and not bulky or chunky at all, was easy to fit aswell. Noce and sturdy on walks and my chi seemed to be comfortable to. And the added bonus it glows in the dark and is waterproof. By far the best harness we have bought so far and for a perfect price! Highly recommended.

Our Molly looks so pretty in her new k9 Harness. She’s had a red one previously and this year fancied a change. This looks so nice in contrast to her bright pink bandana. The ‘Petrol Green’ is very bright, I’d describe like a turquoise on the side of a greenier shade.
Molly is a small/slender female Labrador and Size 1 fits her perfectly.
100% recommend these harnesses, they are brilliant!
One TINY niggle is that they seemed to have changed the design for the handle, her old one had a strap and popper to hold it down, this one is just strong velcro, which does the job but if you have it up and hold it the hooked velcro under the handle is a little spiky.
Ideal. My son chose this and it fitted our cockapoo well. Have also bought the next size up as he has grown now (11months and he is the Medium)but may have get the next size soon.
The only thing to watch for is that iwhen he wriggles and tries to pull away we have found that the harness can pull off him -but that is because as he wriggles and twists we are pulling on the harness from the front (which is not what it is designed to do) and so it slips over his head.

Lovely sturdy harness for my strong young lab. It fits snug around him with plenty of space to expand as he gets older. I really like that unlike a lot of other harnesses, the chest strap actually sits where it’s supposed to, around his chest! I got really frustrated with other harnesses sliding up to above the chest and resting closer to the neck – this one doesn’t which is fabulous. The whole thing just seems like it’s made to last and some of the simplest features like a large D ring attachment, strong clip and highly reflective/glow tabs make it so easy to use and good for day or night walking with a strong pup. If I could fault one thing it’s the handle. It’s quite rigid and there’s Velcro on the top of the harness/underside of the handle so if you grab onto it hastily you can get grazed knuckles from the rough side of the Velcro, and have the other side digging into your palm of the dog pulls. Given how infrequently I have to use the handle it’s not a huge issue but is a tad frustrating on the odd occasion I have to hold my dog back from something too exciting for commands or lead to be effective.
Nevertheless. This is by far the best harness I’ve brought, for a very reasonable price, and it’s simply marvellous in both build and functions. If by chance it would break, I’d be very hesitant to get any other style after having used the JuliusK9!
My Frenchmen grew out of his last harness which, I bought a new one which was too big and slipped and slid over him when he walked. I took a chance on this ordering the Mini (he has a 22in chest). The chance was worth it, it’s brilliant sturdy, the sides glow up in the dark which is brilliant as I live in the country so he gets seen easily by cars. You can wipe it down easily too. Great product would recommend I did read a review that said that their Frenchie got out, I don’t know how the Velcro is quite strong plus you’ve the support at the front and the clip underneath, even if the Velcro came undone the clip still has the dog secure in the harness.

Very pleased with this for our six month old cockerpoo. Well made with a metal ring to attach the lead. Our little puppy is a bit of an escapologist but has not managed to slip out of this yet. It is fairly heavy but doesn’t seem to cause the dog any problems. It is very easy to slip on and clip and the two adjustments are easy to make. There also seems to be a lot of scope for adjustment so this should last well into our dog’s adulthood. We took the big JULJUS-K9 stickers off each side as they look nasty and spoil the look. This just leaves some velcro. Would have been nice to have a little handle, but for the money an excellent product. Provides good control of a small dog as you can give it a tug if the dog’s being naughty.
We have two of these, one for our young Rotty x Shep x American Bull (45kg of muscle and pulling power) and our old Lab x Rotty x Shep.(which is the one i brought this for)
The younger dog has a high prey drive and will pull for anything small and furry so we need a harness which will last. I can say after 2 years of owning one its still in perfect working order, we have broken two leads but not the harness in that time.
My personal favourite thing is the handle on top, so useful when you need to keep him close and under control, was also very useful for our older dog (30kg) when she hurt her back leg while out on a long walk, she is too heavy to carry all that way and with very little other option (as i was out alone) i was able to use the handle to lift her up a bit and take the pressure of that leg till we got back home.
Can’t praise these harnesses enough! Best product on the market for all size dogs , this one I bought for my pug 5mths old with loads of room for adjusting as he grows . Great price well made & comfortable for pet .

My dog is not a fan of harnesses, usually he runs away but he sits fairly still to get this on. I think he tolerates it because it makes walks less stressful for us both and he gets more freedom because I don’t feel any pulls as harshly. Love how it seems very padded and comfy for him. Handle on top is a great addition for when I need to keep a closer hold than lead. Clip is big and easy to use but I’m finding its getting a bit stiff on one side and doesnt want to clip in right away.

Passt fr uns bestens, trotz anderweitiger Kiloempfehlung. Der Brustkorb geht tief beim Dobi, daher brauchten wir etwas mit langem Gurt. Wasserfest, waschbar auch in der Maschine.
Einziges Manko: Der Klettverschlu unter dem Handgurt, tut hllisch weh wenn man den Hund dort mal halten will. Bei uns bleibt es auch nie unten haften.
This is the best product I have found for my Goldie who still pulls a lot aged 4! I’ve tried other harnesses, which were just hard work. Figure of 8 or halti type arrangement caused her stress and made people think she had a muzzle on. This Julius K9 harness fits well, looks great, is comfortable for the dog and best of all has stopped her pulling! She walks normally with no strain on my hands or wrists and seems very happy with it. I would certainly recommend this harness to anyone with strong dogs. Thank you!
a good product a strong and a well made harness, you can control a dog which pulls or is too excitable when meeting another dog on a tight path or pavement. I am quite impressed with the harness so far and intend to purchase the side packs which fit to it. I am a experienced dog owner and have never came up to a harness which promises to be this strong and a torch holder is a very good ideal as well although the torch needs to be a small Maglite type to fit the stretchable attachment.
Best harness we have ever had…easy to put on … Just put over the head of the dog and clip up one buckle. Our Cockerpoo Katy seems very comfortable in the K9.
I was a little jubious about buying this harness because my pup hates harnesses and tries to avoid them at all costs. My pup gets excited when she knows where she is going so pulls a lot and chokes herself and I fear she will slip her collar. So I bought Julius K9 Power harness in size Mini-Mini (She’s a Lhasapso X Toy Poodle) and it has done wonders! Not only does she not mind the harness on, but this is the first time I have walked her without her pulling! Needless to say we had a great walk. The harness is very comfortable, strong and secure and I would reccomend any day! P.S. If you don’t know your pup’s chest size, going by the weight is a good indicator too.

Got this for my chocolate Labrador. He’s got a barrel of a chest and this harness was a perfect fit. It’s really easy to fit and adjust the first time you put it on your dog. It has a glow in the dark strip across the front and 2 stickers (which are removable) and also are glow in the dark. The metal hoop on the top is very thick and sturdy so theres no way its going to break off. The handle on the top of the harness is convenient when you want to hold you dog still (for small dogs you can pick them up by this if needs be (mainly for emergency situations).
We mainly use it so that our other dog (a Siberian husky) who also has the same harness can be hooked up to our lab and they can go off lead together giving us piece of mind knowing our husky cant run off.
Cleaning wise just a damp cloth is enough to give it a good rub down.
This is the first premium dog harness I’ve bought for my lab and would recommend them to all dog owners. Bonus points of the cool orange colour as well
Really good harness, so good I bought two. One for light use and a second that I purchased the julius K9 saddlebags.
Primarily use the light use harness for casual walks no more than an hour. If we’re walking a longer distance or time she wears the saddlebagged one and carries a Tupperware box of water, spare dog bags, a ball or two and in the other my waterbottle and a first aid kit.
Would also recommend the Julius K9 colar for a GSD as its strong, wide and light.
All of their kit is made from material that is quick drying – the saddlebags have waterproof sections in them too. Great for when Storm decides a lake would look better with her in it!
Excellent harness. Have tried other types, but most of them chaffed around the inside top of the front legs, this harness doesn’t, it is an excellent fit really well shaped.
Was worried as other comments say dogs have escaped from the harness. No chance of that if the harness is properly adjusted. Feel really confident whilst walking my boisterous, continually pulling, excitable Podenco.
Really impressed with the overall quality and finish of the product would definitely recommend, and will buy again if we need a replacement.
Bought this back in may and am still using it 7 months later. Bought a size 2 L-XL for my 40kg akita female and it was the best purchase I have made for her so far. The straps go accross and around the chest and do not rub, and although it took a week or so to find the right adjustments it barely slips anymore. It only falls to the side if I pull her sideways. The metal ring is sturdy and very large which means my lead has plenty of moving room and she doesn’t get tangled when out on the flexi! – a problem we had with our old harness. Another difference is that she doesn’t try to wriggle out of this one, our old one she would wriggle backwards to try and escape when she got spooked, I think any dog would find it hard to escape this harness. It also has a sturdy handle on the back which is especially useful for grabbing dog aggressive dogs. My girl is temperamental and will go for certain dogs so this handle is a great way of holding onto her without hurting her neck or stressing her out, and allows great control over her body. Overall a great harness, and I know of many Akita owners who also use this harness.
We have just received the K-9 halter, as needed a larger size for our 6 year old Dalmation. It is a great fit for him. We have purchased several since we got Domino and none have been perfect, even though we purchased from pet stores who advised. I thought I would look on line this time, and saw the K-9 which amongst the pictures was a dalmation wearing one. I thought I would get one to try, following their sizing measurements. It is great, a good fit. The handle above the harness is sturdy and you can get a good hold of him if the need arise. There is also the bonus of the reflective front strap should he be walked in the dark, and it looks good on him. I am tempted to buy a Velcro strip which you can buy and replace the K-9 name with a name of your choice.
I received this yesterday and boy does it look the “Dog’s”. Dead easy to fit and put on my OESD/GSD, she has no problem with wearing it and already I have had comments on how good it looks. It’s early days but she doesn’t seem to be pulling as much on lead and it is so much easier to locate the ring on the back of the harness to put the lead on (she has quite long hair and usually finding the ring on her collar can be a pain). I have already order’d the “saddle bags” and can’t wait to get them so that she can start carrying some of her own stuff (with the dark nights coming, hopefully this will make a plain boring street walk a little more of an exercise session for her).

brilliant although i requested blue i ended up with the black harness (oh well looks good) sadly this only just clipped around my scottish deerhound Karn so i gave it to my faithful doberman duke who fits inside it perfectly. This harness is fantastic as it looks and feels extremely hard wearing and stylish at the same time.i even purchased a cool trendy label with SUPER DOBE printed on it from ebay. i would highly recommend also it had taken the strain of his neck which allows him to walk properly without choking himself. come to think of it i wish i had purchased one sooner as this has made a major improvement on our walks he now walks properly without yanking my arm off. i will be purchasing another julius k9 harness in size 4 on tuesday for my lovely KARN. thank you so much and amazon keep being amazing at your prices.
Brilliant harness, bought for our two year old Labrador who is about to start using the bus and train to travel to further away destinations with my mum. The harness fits very well, doesn’t bother at all when on and the handle is excellent for making sure you get good hold of her when stepping into the bus etc. Can also be used for steadying dogs in nervous situations such as at the vet and reducing her ability to jump up strangers. I’d recommended this harness also for those with dog who need to be kept under a little more control. It’s sturdy and very made and the sides glow in the dark if you expose them to light before heading out at night. I get a lot of compliments on it from other dog walkers wanting to know where I got it from. Great purchase and would absolutely get another if she grows out of this one, although its adjustable too so that may take some time if it it actually needed.

Das Brustgeschirr gefllt nicht nur mir, sondern auch mein Goldie geniet seine (eingeschrnkte) Freiheit. Es ist sehr leicht anzuziehen und darberhinaus nicht wirklich einengend. Ein groes Plus fr die obere Lasche, die es mir ermglicht in verzwickten Situationen mein wtendes Hundi einfach zu nehmen und wegzugehen.
Insbesondere fr noch nicht erzogene Hunde, also jene die noch ziehen erscheint mir das Brustgeschirr als ideale Lsung, um dem Hund nicht wehzutun.
This is a very sturdy, easily adjusted and attached harness. And the dog seems to like it, which certainly can’t be said of his previous one! I like the handle mounted on the top of the harness, which allows very close control when necessary. However, this isn’t something I’ve needed yet. In fact, because the dog seems very comfortable in the harness, he appears calmer than usual, so he’s easier to manage.
Update: I’ve now been using the harness for several weeks and I am, if anything, still more impressed with it. Not because of its practical function, which, as I’ve already said, is excellent. But my dog (an Irish Red & White Setter – notoriously skittish) is definitely more confident, relaxed and comfortable when wearing it. In fact, he wags his tail furiously when he sees it come out of the cupboard! Obviously what the well-dressed dog is wearing this season…
This harness is great! It’s strong enough for an 8 stone dog, the size of a pony who could tow a caravan. Once you’ve got the chest strap adjusted to suit your dogs size it can stay that way forever and you simply slip over the head and clip the “tummy” strap. I ordered it predominantly because it had a “handle” which I thought (correctly) would allow me more control should I need to reign him in at any time. Unfortunately, being a rescue dog with no previous training whatsoever and a tendency to destroy anything and everything within reach if bored – “someone” accidentally left his harness in this situation and it got eaten! So it’s not indestructible (any more so than his “daddy’s” steel toe-capped work boots are it transpired). However, harness number 2 is still going strong (as is the dog training) and I would highly recommend this product.

… dementsprechend gibt es nicht viel zu berichten. Individuell auf den Hund anpassbar, robust, gut zu reinigen, tolle Farbe und natrlich hat man guten Zugriff. So kann ich meinen 30-Kilo-Rabauken auch in kritischen Situationen gut hndeln. Die witzigen Statements, die man seitlich anbringen kann sind noch ein kleiner Bonus dazu. Ich wrde immer wieder auf Julius K9 zurck greifen und es dementsprechend auch weiter empfehlen!

Eigentlich bin ich auf dieses Geschirr nur gestoen weil ich eins fr das Schleppleinen-Training mit unserem Border Collie-Labrador-Mix brauchte.
Dass es sich aber auch fr alltgliche Spaziergnge so gut bewehrt htte ich nicht erwartet.
Er zog ab und an mal an der Leine (Halsband) und lief unruhig, dass ist jetzt berhaupt kein Thema mehr.
Mal abgesehen davon dass man es wirklich gut der Form und der Gre des Hundes anpassen kann ist es auch wahnsinnig schnell angelegt.
Matsch, Wasser und Regen hat es auch schon ohne Probleme getrotzt. Man muss nicht immer aufpassen, dass er sein Bein auversehen mal an die Leine hlt wenn er pinkeln muss und verhddert sich auch nicht mehr mit den Vorderlufen.
Ich wrde es jederzeit wieder kaufen!

I bought this for my 11 month old boxer dog who pulls like a train!! He is so strong. I have tried a few different harnesses and found this to be the best & it’s great quality. It does not stop a dog pulling fully but it helps a bit. It looks a bit industrial at first but you get used to it.
It’s easy to put on & my dog doesn’t mind it going on. I like the handle on the top it does help when he gets excited meeting people or dogs as he jumps up, so I feel I have more control over him. Up to now it doesn’t seem to rub on him at all, I will monitor this as some reviews have said it rubs. The metal loops that the Velcro front strap goes through has gone a bit rusty with the rain, which I wasn’t impressed with as its only weeks old. The big ring on the top is great to clip your lead to easily.
Overall it’s a great harness.
This is by far the best harness I’ve owned, not only does my English bulldog no longer pull on the lead she also can breath so much better when we walk. She used to pull all the time on my old harness like she was pulling a truck, head down all legs all stiff with pressure of the pulling. Now she has her head up looking ahead and no loner straining on her back legs….
A week after we used the harness a problem I had with my right knee faded as she was no longer pulling me to the left all the time, plus the hairs under her forearm pits have started to grow back!
And it was easy to adjust to fit across her chest and ribs that putting it on and off is no longer a mission in the sleepy morning….
I could go on and on and tell you all about it but it’s easier just to say it’s a 5 out of 5 from me and Esme……..

weil es einfach die stabilsten und unverwstlichsten Geschirre sind, die ich kenne.
Die austauschbaren Klett-Beschriftungen interessieren mich nicht, aber ich gnne dem Hersteller diesen Marketingerfolg

Das Geschirr liess sich gut auf den Brustumfang des Hundes einstellen, es sitzt stabil und ich glaube, dass es auch nicht scheuert oder den Hund irritiert.
Ob dasselbe auch im Sommer gilt, bleibt abzuwarten.
Auch als “Ankerpunkt” fr den Hunde-Sicherheitsgurt scheint dieses Geschirr eine gute Wahl zu sein.
Noch etwas mehr reflektierende Elemente fnde ich wnschenswert, auch wenn diese sich natrlich im Laufe der Zeit abreiben.
Die “Bestnote” mchte ich hier nicht geben, weil der (schn stabile) Gurtverschluss m.E. sehr weit oben sitzt, dadurch nicht immer leicht zu ffnen ist und ich auch den Eindruck habe, dass der Hund den Verschluss unangenehm/unbequem/strend findet, insbesondere bei Autofahrten.
Davon abgesehen dsenke ich, dass wir noch lange Freude an dem Geschirr haben werden, und dass es auch Ausflge ins Waser und ausgelassene Hundespiele zuverlssig mitmachen wird.
Having already owned a Powerharness I knew what to expect when I was forced to replace it (due to my puppy chewing the fastening clasp), if your dog is like mine, a live wire, then in tight situations where you may be required to keep a tight hold of your dog then the handle on this harness is perfect! The harness itself is snug fitting and I haven’t noticed it rub anywhere and is so easy to put on and remove it makes this harness a dream. If you are expecting this harness to stop a dog that pulls then this is NOT the harness you want but if your dog walks with you well but can be overly excited when meeting new friends/people then I would recommend this harness as control is relatively easy depending on the size and power of your pet and how strong you need to be.
For my own opinion this is worth every penny, a very good product ideal for my needs.
