Great small laptop for student use
I bought this for my daughter who’s at Uni when her laptop unexpectedly died. This is a great price for a laptop that can run Windows 10 and office, though you need to be aware that the CPU is basic and will top out at a drop of a hat. However, it’s great for office applications and even Excel runs ok though I wouldn’t try too many business-style complex spreadsheets on it. Basic statistics and charting would work tough. It will also run movies and surf the internet without any problems – just don’t leave too many browser tabs open at once.

It’s really light and convenient and the screen quality is great. My daughter has been using it for a week nw and reports no problems when using it for essays and note-taking.

One thing: the network adapter is 2.4Ghz only which means it will not see any wireless networks in the 5Ghz spectrum. To counter that, I added a TP Link Nano adapter which plugs into one of the two USB ports and it small enough to be able to stay there permanently without any issues.

Highly recommended word processing laptop for uni and school.

    GREAT FAST MACHINE
This is a great fast machine – good for connecting to the internet, watch TV or working remotely – when connected to another storage device is great.

Sadly, the machine only has a 64g drive – which in itself is ok – BUT, do remember to keep some reserved space for when updating OR change the storage location for the downloaded windows updates – else you will run out of space whilst in the updating process.

Overall though, i do like this machine

    Very good value
Needed a laptop for university and took a punt on this. I love the slim, lightweight design. Perfect for me because I dont want to be lugging around a heavy laptop. Charger as well is compact and easy to transport.

I know its still new but it runs really smoothly and buffers 1080p and higher YouTube videos in seconds. Battery life seems really good and winter have to worry about finding plug sockets in during lectures and seminars etc.

It’s a fraction of the price for a like for like laptop from more known brands, hp Asus Lenovo etc. But for 200 it’s a really good machine. I know Jumper do make higher spec models but this is perfect for my needs. Highly recommended.

A great value laptop for the price.
I managed to get this on a lightening deal for 160, usually it is 200. For the price I paid, it’s very impressive, I needed something to test hard drives and perform maintenance on them. Mac OS (which I usually use) isn’t so good for this, a lot of software is still only designed for Windows. Having not used windows in many years, I must say that using it on this laptop is very enjoyable indeed. It’s not the snappiest of machines, but it is good enough for most tasks, if you are a heavy user or need something more powerful, there are ofcourse other options, but this is cheap, and certainly cheerful. I am so far very impressed.

Excellent fast machine with great battery life
This is an extremely fast responsive machine with a massive 6 gb of ram which is plenty to operate the laptop quickly and responsively . the screen is great very bright and crisp, the battery is lasting approx 7.5 hrs which is great if you need to take the laptop out and about away from the charger .
I looked hard and long before I chose this laptop the comparable machines on sale at a similar price only had a max of 4gb of ram I opted for this laptop for the speed of the processor and additional ram with the lightweight case and 64gb memory again most only had 32gb , this is real value for money.
This is great for surfing the net and general browsing with the power of a standalone desktop.
    I’d recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely the best 13' thin laptop you can buy! ASTONISHING quality in every component!
Absolutely the BEST 13′ thin laptop you can buy!
The battery lasts forever, the screen is amazing with smooth and detailed graphics, the power consumption is unbelievably low and the processing power is incredible for a 6W processor! The screen back cover is made of aluminum, adding great sturdiness to the machine, the keyboard is soft but with precise clicks, the touchpad is as smooth as silk. You have a fast 2,4Ghz/5Ghz Wifi Card with Bluetooth as well and a eMMC hard drive that performs as fast as a traditional hard drive (not near an SSD speed). BUT although you have a low speed eMMC hard drive, you also have a brilliant M2 connection!!! MAKE USE OF IT!! That way you get those flashing SSD drive speeds!!
Al in all: for 199 ( + 39 for a nice M2 SSD hard drive) you have an UNBELIEVABLE laptop with everything that you need!! Either for working, streaming, watching, listening, gaming (those old 1990’s/2000’s rpgs and strategy games run so well!).

This a great value laptop for occasional use. It comes with a keyboard cover. I recommend a mouse and the memory card. Screen contrast was a bit too harsh but there’s plenty of adjustment. It’s smaller than the average laptop but it doesn’t matter. There’s plenty of storage plus the card and RAM is adequate for general use but not for gaming.

    Great small laptop.
The seller has been very helpful when I have run into difficulties. The first problem was that Windows 10 needed a full up date, in fact I think that a new Windows 10 was installed as a first update. This update took many hours and I had to make sure that the computer remained on. This left the old Windows on the computer as ‘Windows old’ and luckily I had purchased and installed a 64GB expansion card. Without this I believe that I would have run out of memory and been stuck! The latest update for Windows has a problem with the audio driver and it took me several days to find where this driver might be, Google solved the problem.
Now all is working well. It is a portable computer which is easy to carry, holds a charge for around 8 hours and with 6GB Ram is very fast. A nice laptop.

Happy so far with this little laptop.
It is easy to handle as it`s quite lightweight , compact and easy to carry around. It has a good quality image , in fact I can watch movies on it and the 1080 P resolution is great .
Sound wise , it`s acceptable , but me personally I keep it connect it to a Bluetooth speaker , just in case I need a higher volume for music or movies .
Mainly I use the laptop for office tasks , writing emails , making charts , light surfing the internet , but the processor is good enough to support multi tasking . It runs on Windows 10 with a internal processor Intel Celeron CPU N 3350 and has a installed RAM of usable 5.85 GB . Local disk has a 56.6 GB free space after all the pre installed apps , but it provides a micro SD slot for extra memory .

For what I need it for and giving the acceptable price , I find it a good investment .

I bought a Jumper EZbook X3 to run Linux and it has turned out to be a very good choice. I installed Ubuntu and all the hardware was picked up seamlessly. WiFi, audio, trackpad, bluetooth – everything worked first time. No messing around with drivers or config settings. The laptop is a bit plasticky, but very well made for 169 (purchased Jan 2020). Screen resolution is pretty good, but the audio output is a bit thin and harsh. All in all, a great value machine for anyone on a tight budget.

Needed a cheap basic laptop, for streaming to the TV in the short term and for my daughter’s school work in the long term. 6GB Ram is more than adequate. I inserted a 15 128GB SD card in the slot = storage sorted. Also has a slot on the underside for an SSD. Screen quality is really good. Its very light and whisper quiet when running. Boots up and shuts down within 30 seconds. . Perfect for my needs.

This is faster than I expected. The screen quality is a lot better than my previous laptop, that was purchased for around the same price. The colour of the image doesn’t change with the angle of the screen. Although, the colours could be brighter, as I find myself trying to turn the brightness up higher than it allows at times. Nice and lightweight and a good size for carrying around in my bag. The issues I’ve found are with the storage (as advertised you don’t get very much) which is expected for how inexpensive it is, and the track pad got stuck down when I first used it – although I haven’t experienced this since.

Golden Review Award: 65 From Our UsersNice little lightweight notepad, good size and super battery life
I have a more powerful acre laptop which is used for my day to day stuff, but I wanted a lighter and simple to use laptop to take on my daily commute.

The laptop needed to have good battery life as would be used for at least 3 hours a day, powerful enough to surf the net and watch some steaming sites, surf amazon etc. I had a budget of 200 and managed to find this one slightly over that, but it looked more powerful than the others I’d seen so I didn’t mind spending the extra.

My first impressions were very good, the design is sleek and clean, the case feels strong and looks great. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of my other one but has Hdmi out and a USB port which I will probably add a hub type device to to improve connections.

The laptop is super light and of a perfect size to do what I need to slip into my rucksack and not really notice it’s in there.

I’ve used it for over a week now downloading a few movies from my subscriptions sites and playing back on the screen without issue and with good quality.

The little unit is powered by an entry level intel processor, which is a quad core and 1.1ghz but can be overclocked more (double I think)- not something I’m fully up to speed on but may take a look to get the most out of it. It has a 128gb hard drive which should be fine for my needs, it longer term you can pick up cheap ssds to increase that size for little money.

Battery wise I’ve not run it fully flat,
But I’m getting well over the 3 hours I needed to get me through the day. I fully expect it to last double if not more than that.

It come preloaded with windows 10 which you set up as you first boot it on, took about 10 mins to set up and it’s linked to my other windows account which means I can save on cloud and download stuff across the two.

So far so good really for this little laptop, it’s apparent it is an entry level laptop because of the speed and connectivity but it’s exactly what I needed for my commute. Super happy with it.

Build quality is impeccable, all metal construction, the screen is a full HD matt finish display, keyboard is US not an issue for me, track pad big enough not the best but far from the worst I’ve used, battery 5/6 hours. Providing you know what your buying and this laptops limitations ie light use such as streaming movies, YouTube works in 1080p, browsing the internet and some word processing you’ll be fine, you get more than you pay for I think with this laptop. Comes with a UK plug and lead in the box.

on the boxing Day. I with my little boy to Curry’s bought one laptop for him Christmas gift. he choose Lenovo ideapad. we are take back home. I am turn on set windows 10. when I past the laptop for little boy. he can’t turn on it. I try several times still can’t turn on. I am come back Curry’s. the sales hope me change another one but I am refused. I got money back shop online. I search Amazon find this little laptop had 16th customer review 5 star. so I choose it. this laptop is lightweight and portable, which is convenient for my little boy as he can carry it around wherever . It seems sturdy and hasn’t taken long to set up. It doesn’t have any fans at the bottom so it’s fairly quiet while working. he have been using this laptop for web-browsing, watching films, play games with no issues. Perfect for browsing the internet, using microsoft packages and letting the kids mess around on the various games etc. After long hours working, the battery still have lots left, and good picture quality.
Overall, he is very pleased with this laptop, and it is reasonable price. thanks

Whilst I have only had the laptop a few days….. I am already impressed.
It’s lightweight, slim and super fast (for a machine at this price-point). I particularly like the HD screen which really does make viewing a real pleasure at any angle.
Setup is simple and once I had downloaded chrome, gmail, google photos, google docs etc. and log into my account I was able to sync all my work in one place.

It’s a great product for the money
As described, it’s lightweight. Screen quality is great. Battery lasts a while.
Performance wise: don’t expect to be a beast. I mean, the choice of storage has its toll, windows taking up to 2 minutes to boot. The CPU is a dual core, so yeah. RAM is enough. The GPU…doesn’t help even in simple games like LoL. SO this is not definitely a gaming machine. Maybe if you use Stadia…
The good parts and why I love this machine, with examples:
    -lightweight
-good quality 1080p screen, great for watching Youtube or whatever
    – low heat and noise (basically doesn’t have a fan)
    -bluetooth
-huge battery time. I am having problems sleeping so I leave it playing youtube all night (battery can last up to 12h with optimisation)
I am not sure if better components would increase the price or size, but if the next version can have an SSD that would be a great machine

This also fit well with 13inch MacBook sleeve. This laptop also opens edge and windows 10 built-in apps instant to few seconds delay. This also allows windows official apps to be installed. This is not a portable windows edition Just has a delay but or a small battery this is the best. the sad has an easy to access screw, which I opened and fitted a SSD to expand their storage. Overall great little laptop.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAmazing for the price!
I’m frankly pretty stunned at what you can get for the money these days. This little laptop is so fast and the screen is super sharp! There are (nearly) no compromises, it’s all bang for little buck.

Speed: Chrome launches instantly, and it breezes through surfing the web (and at 6gb of ram, even Chrome won’t eat it all, hurray!) It will run 1080p videos on YouTube no problem (though I didn’t think to check if it was 60fps or not), though as with all of these laptops without a “proper” graphics card, going from normal mode to full screen video mode takes a couple of seconds to do.
You probably won’t be playing modern games on it, at least it wouldn’t be a terrific experience if you tried. I’d like to test that theory properly but I bought it as a gift and don’t want to install a bunch of stuff on it. But then it’s not built for that, it’s clearly a web browser and light work machine, working with Microsoft Office for example, and for that it really… excels (ba dum tsh!).

SSD: The emmc SSD makes booting a lot faster than it would be with a HDD, and just general usage of Windows is a zippy, low latency experience. It’s honestly pretty comparable to my desktop computer with 8gb of ram and an i3-7100 processor.
The emmc SSD being 64GB is large enough for Windows and a few apps. I would consider it to be the minimum size required these days, as windows itself takes about 20GB of that and then another 8GB for updates, so straight out the gate you’re going to lose about half the disk size to just running it. For that reason, I’d steer clear of any 32GB models.
An additional bonus is the m.2 slot, which means there’s a potential to make things even faster by swapping to a proper SSD if you have the know-how, or at least have extra space for files if this is your only computer. Note that emmc SSDs are not as fast as normal SSDs, but in this instance I doubt you could tell, everything runs perfectly fast.

Screen: The screen is smaller than I would usually go for myself, but oddly due to the impressively sharp and bright display, it doesn’t really “look” small. If your choice is between this and a 14.3″ Fusion 5 laptop, having used them both I’d go for this personally, but your mileage may vary. The speakers don’t seem to be as bad as they are on the Fusion 5 either, but you’d be getting a slightly smaller keyboard.

Build: Some people are saying it’s brushed metal, I don’t think that’s the case, I think it’s just good quality plastic that’s made to look that way, but the whole thing feels very solidly built. It’s not heavy by any stretch, but it’s not feather light either. I didn’t spend a lot of time typing on it, but the keyboard isn’t horrible, and they include a silicone protector mat to put over your keys if you want that.
The one issue I have is the touchpad has a tendency to jump the cursor to the bottom left of the screen when you press it down where you’d expect the left mouse button to be. It could well be that you’re not supposed to click in this way at all, so I stopped doing it and just used the “double tap” method which works fine. I’m a little concerned the touchpad is defective on my unit, but the person I bought it for will be using a mouse exclusively anyway, so I’m not too bothered. Otherwise the touchpad is fine, you can also use the touchpad as a scroll wheel by using two fingers at once.

Cons: Other than the touchpad issue, there’s the fact that there’s no ethernet port, so you’ll either have to use wireless only, or get a usb adapter. Thankfully the USB is 3.0, so it should be fast enough that it won’t bottleneck your speeds if you go that route. There’s also the HDMI port that is mini-HDMI, which some people claim is more fragile that full size HDMI, and usually means sticking an ugly adapter into it which will make it even more fragile… so be careful with it!

Conclusion: For this price range, it’s amazing. if you’re in the market for a cheap laptop that will run web, video and light desktop apps like Microsoft office, maybe Ableton or Cubase, that sort of thing, this should be perfect for your needs.

basic budget laptop but an excellent one!
I bought this for my daughter as a gift for Christmas. She needed a basic laptop to use for school work and social media. This one fits my budget very well. What I like this product are the following:
    – the screen display is great and sharp enough but does not have the sharpness of my well-known brand (understandable tho) I still would say that it’s decent enough.
    – the USB ports works fine.
    – it has the basic options for its setting like keyboard preference. language
    – MS office works well as it’s the program my daughter needs.
    – I had no problem connecting it with the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
    – the speakers are clear and decent to watch a video/movie
    – it is portable and light-weight. Another reason why I purchased it. Won’t be a hassle to carry it around.

I attached a video which shows that it started in less than 1 min. After comparing it with other brands in the market with the same specs/range, I would say that for basic laptop, I highly recommended as it meets my budget and specs I look for.

Great laptop at a fraction cost of a top brand
If you are looking for a super mobility laptop (1kg only), with limited budget, good for travelling with and office work. This is your best buddy! Made-in-China is superb. Come on, China, produce more of this type of products and outshine the rest of the world. It is not running as fast as a Dell XPS 13 or any other top spec, top brand laptop. For under 200, you are not expecting that realistically. Do buy a 42mm (not 80mm, otherwise you have to open the whole back cover to fit it) SATA SSD (Transcend brand does this product). Do some BIOS configuration to change the boost sequence, you can boost it even faster from the new SSD with a larger hard drive (I bought a 240GB in my case). The original eMMC can be used as extra storage space. This laptop has a slot to accommodate a micro SD, I put in a 128GB one (12.99 from Amazon). In total, you have 433GB space now….Da da….! Battery one charge last about 5-6hrs, can be fully charged again within 1hr 40mins. The charger is about double weight of apple IPAD charger, which is much slimmer than many of the Dell XPS laptop charger. Overall travel weight i assume is about 1.20kg including charger. It can be neatly hidden in any handbag. All in all, a happy purchase and more than value for money. Highly recommended!

    Great specs at low price.
I wanted a low cost laptop that I can use for web browsing, video calls, office and email and this laptop is perfect. I chose this EZbook as it had fantastic reviews, the specs that I was after and an excellent price. The design is very stylish and slim. The laptop is robust and made of high quality materials that feel premium. I like the 13 inch screen and content looks great in HD. 6GB is sufficient RAM to run a few apps / programs at the same time without delay and Windows 10 works really well. I really like the adapter keyboard so you can use the keyboard you prefer and the battery is excellent and easily lasts six hours. Overall and excellent laptop at a great price.

    Very good value for money
This is a good basic laptop that would be perfect for a teenager to use for homework or to use for basic administration tasks.
It is a good size and is well made. I think it looks quite expensive. The quality of the screen is very good. It is large and bright and displays everything effectively.
The battery life is impressive and it powers up pretty quickly.
It is fairly lightweight and so easy to transport – I have taken it onto a train and it was very easy to transport.
Well worth considering if you are not going to overload with various software programmes.

Comes with a charger and a rubber keyboard protector. Fast startup. Graphics card is not strong enough to play complex games but can play all of the power hungry games.

Hard drive is 60GB so its not big BUT this can be increased with an extra purchase of external storage. Sharpness and colours on the screen seem on point.

Windows 10 home built in. No bloatware. 4 hours or so to initially update. Fast shutdown. Excellent value for around 200. Recommended.

    Great laptop
I absolutely love this laptop it’s thin and lightweight. I just use it for you tube, internet explorer and school works. It works very well, the 13.3 inch screen is perfect size and clear. Keyboard is very good better than my Samsung laptop, I can type pretty fast without any problems. I would recommend this is more suitable for students for their daily works. It is still pretty good so far, very pleased with the product and the value for this low price.

It was well packed when it came. I was so pleased that I got a keyboard protector which fits perfectly and can resist dust and dirt.

Simplify design.Ultra thin and light. So it’s easy to carry when I go outside.Around corner at buttom, there are 4 rubbers which can anti-slip and cool down heat .The battery can last about 6 hours once full chargered. It’s quite fast when turning it on.Good stereo sound quality. Excellent HD display.Brilliant familliar Window System .It supports bluetooth which is able to connect to a wireless mouse or keyboard.
Although the memory is 64GB , it runs quite fast.I can even watch YouTube without lag.

Brilliant little laptop, so good in fact I’ve just purchased a second one. Super screen, excellent build quality and lightweight.

Make sure to perform all Windows updates before judging the performance of this laptop. The laptop may seem slow at first whilst processing the updates but be patient until it has fully updated to the newest version of Windows 10. Keep checking for updates until all are done. This could take a couple of hours. You will also need to run the disk cleanup tool after this, choosing system files and then select Previous Windows Installation. This, along with other unneeded files will get you back over 30gb of the total 64gb.

You can’t go wrong with this little laptop for the money!

Excellent little laptop, very user-friendly with a responsive, quiet keyboard.
I am really pleased with this little laptop. I’ve been using it for a short while now so I could fully assess its abilities and it has never let me down. I use it for word processing and the internet, along with a bit of music and online TV watching, not for gaming or anything overly demanding – just because I have no interest, not because of anything to do with the laptop or what it may be capable of. I can only write of what I know.
It has no DVD/CD drive, as is normal these days with this style and size of laptop, and it has 2 USB 3 ports, a small memory card slot and a mini HDMI port, along with a headphone socket. It has bluetooth as well. It does not come with Word – you either need to buy or subscribe, or get a free version of something similar and compatible, which is what I have done, and it works perfectly well.
The laptop is quick and responsive to use and I LOVE the keyboard, as it is flat and quiet and even comes with a moisture-proof cover that does not hinder the use of the keyboard. So no more will spilled drinks or cat fur get in under the keys!
It is also very light indeed – almost as light as my Kindle.
It is far and away the best Windows laptop I’ve used in a very long time. In recent years, while at university, been using a Windows 10 15″ laptop and a Mac in tandem – and this Jumper EZbook leaves the Win10 machine for dead for user-friendliness – it is as good to type on as the Mac. The responsiveness of the keys when you type and the lack of clunkiness is wonderful compared with my other Win10 machine (which is only 3 years old). That machine is now gathering dust, apart from when I need to use the DVD drive. I’ve often used the Jumper EZbook running off the battery and have not yet had the battery run out, which is very pleasing. I’ve used it for up to 3 or 4 hours at a stretch and still had plenty to spare. This, again, is far better than my older Win10 machine, which runs down in around 2 hours.
This is a really super little machine that would be perfect for home, school or university. I would happily have used this lovely little machine for my dissertations, if I’d had it in time for them. As it was, I did them both on the Mac and converted them to PDFs, rather than using my Win10 machine (and Word), as it was (is) such a nightmare to type on, if you are faster than a comatose snail. But this Jumper laptop is ‘da bomb’ and would have been – and is – a total joy to use for typing documents. I have also had no issues with sound or picture quality while watching online content. I have no extravagant expectations of fancy sound abilities, but for my needs it is perfectly fine and actually better for volume than my Mac. Very impressed and pleased.

Very nice laptop that is small, compact and easy to set up straight out of the box. Ideal as a first laptop or for someone who just needs a basic bit of kit for a decent price. I use with a USB mouse as I don’t personally find the touchpad easy to use, also cannot seem to change the keyboard from US to UK setting? For under 200 it is a good buy, but as the brand is unknown you won’t get support if anything goes wrong. Something to consider when buying.

    Cheap and lightweigh
I’ve been using this laptop for a few days so I feel I’ve got to know it fairly well. I was excited to receive this new laptop as the last laptop i’d been using – an Acer one, was fab back in the day but now the memory is totally full and also it’s old fashioned, weighs a tonne, running on a now dated Windows 7 and was painfully slow.

Upon opening this I was pleased to find this sleek, exteremely lightweight and a fresh new laptop that should be empty, ready for me to fill again.

After a bit of a lengthy set-up, deciding languages (No UK, English version, just American – which hasn’t been a problem but you should have the choice) after around 10 minutes I was in! There’s also a strange part where it starts talking at you and it’s a personal assistant called Cortana which I promptly muted as I was on a Train and it was most embarrassing!!

The odd thing I found was the keyboard, it seems to be an American set up and the ” key actually says @ and the @ key is printed with ” hich was so confusing initially but i’m getting used to ignoring what’s printed on there now!

I mainly wanted to use this laptop for backing my phone up with iTunes but unfortunately after downloading and setting it all up and starting to back my phone up, it informed me after about an hour that there wasn’t enough room… I realise the laptop is only 64GB but there is a slot for a TF card which can extend this so i’ve sent off for the maximum capacity it will allow which is 128GB so i’m hoping this is enough to allow me to back everything up.

It’s my first time using Windows 10 and it’s different and more up to date but I was disappointed to find it comes pre-installed with so many things like Candy Crush and Farmville and all these games I don’t need which are taking up even more space so i’m having to uninstall a fair amount to get it functioning as it’s full already with just iTunes.

The mousepad I found wasn’t especially responsive – I’ve edited the settings which had it on a medium sensitivity and i’ve changed this to a High Sensitivity and it’s much better now but I still find scrolling up and down a page a bit hit and miss and it could definitely be improved.

For the money this is a cheap and basic laptop for internet browsing, work and playing the pre-installed games if you’re interested in that sort of thing. For storing a vast amount of things or using this as a new laptop and backing up an old one, due to the lack of storage space then this wouldn’t be suitable.

Speed wise, it has its slow moments, it’s not as fast as i’d expect a brand new laptop to be but for the money I wouldn’t complain. You get what you pay for. It has its faults but as a very basic laptop for basic needs it’s not bad, fingers crossed I can expand the storage and make this more useable for me. Recommended as cheap but do compare and see if there are other, larger space options.

    Great value for money
I’m pretty impressed with this laptop, especially for the money. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to set up windows when you first start. It takes you by the hand setting up things like the WiFi. It comes with an additional keyboard skin with a UK layout on it. The keyboard skin fits nicely on top of the keyboard and is surprising good to use. The machine is nice and slim and the 13.3″ screen is fine to do most takes. A nice compromise between portability and a decent screen size. The hard disc has about 42GB of storage once Windows is installed so you’re really going to have to consider cloud or external storage if you plan to use it for multimedia work. I’m mainly using it for browsing (I’ve downloaded Firefox and Chrome), MS Office (downloaded it using my Office365 account) and a bit of coding so the storage is fine for me. Performance wise the machine is coping perfectly well although like I said it’s mainly just office and coding I’m using it for. The machine is very light. In fact I’m typing this review on my iPad and to be honest there’s not much difference in weight between them. It comes almost fully charged out if the box which is nice and helpful. A charger is supplied. The charger is pretty small and lightweight. Overall I’m really impressed, especially for machine that costs under 250.

Looks more flash than the price tag!
We use this for a member of staff who really can do most of their work in a browser, so have very low computer power demands – and for that, this really is more than she needs. It looks tidy (far better than the price tag), it has full blown Windows 10 as the OS, and it has a very lightweight power plug – usually for a laptop you need a charger with a bit of a brick built in, but this is efficient enough to run with the power source more like a mobile phone charger size and weight. I cannot vouch for how it would or wouldn’t cope with more demanding apps, but for web based stuff it is great.

    Impressed
For the money the specification is pretty impressive 6gb Ram — I’d normally expect 2 or 4gb on such a basic laptop
64gb SSD — a bit small but an M2 SATA III Expansion slot exists
Processor : Not sure — Spec says Intel Celeron Apollo Lake N3450 but the stats in control panel suggest the N3350 @ 1.1GHz
FHD Graphics — nice — wouldn’t expect UHD for the money
Dual band Wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 — a must!
    Windows 10 Home 64 bit

    Out of the Box
On receiving the Ezbook the very brief instructions advise you to charge it for 2-3 hours…..these instructions are very poor and just about cover the first two or three screens of the Windows automated setup process. After that you’re on your own.

The laptop itself comes well packaged and protected. Getting it out of the box you notice that its nowhere near as robust as anything made with a metal chassis. On turning it on it’s pretty straight forward to get going, although it did jump through the wifi connection screen, but that could have been me being click happy. Other than that it was a very straightforward setup.

After downloading all the updates and installing them all over night I was ready to play.
Restart: After restarting the machine I note that it’s pretty quick to reboot, especially when compared to my old HDD based laptop. Compared to an i5 Lenovo Thinkbook with a 240gb SSD it’s a bit slower, from boot to Windows front screen about 20 seconds, from Windows sign-in screen to up and running and ready to roll a further 15 — 20 seconds or so.
Very impressive for a sub 250 laptop.
Installing Norton Anti Virus and MS Office took about 30 minutes all in then connecting to OneDrive added another couple of minutes.
Setting the Regions and keyboard was a little tricky but once I’d got the region set as GB only one minor issue kept bugging me. The Keyboard on the laptop is set up for North America, but the UK keyboard recognises ” as @ and vice versa.
Then, it dawned on me that a keyboard skin I’d thought was a useful skin that would stop spilled drinks killing the laptop, wasn’t there for protection..it was there to change the appearance of the keyboard putting the ” and the @ in the right places.
It feels different typing through a skin and reduces the feedback from what is otherwise quite a nice keyboard.
    Performance
I’m not a graphics wizz or a data muncher but I do push MS Office apps pretty hard linking through several sheets, using word, excel, Adobe etc open with numerous tabs while I work. My previous work laptop had 4gb Ram and struggled — I was constantly up at 3.7gb usage levels. This surprising little thing has coped with the majority of what I’ve through at it so far. My eyes aren’t the best and a few hours work didn’t put up anywhere near as much eyestrain as my works built HP edition.
The screen, while having a little light bleed in corners when on a black screen is surprisingly crisp. I streamed the film ‘Mountain’ from Netflix and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the video running at full HD and the sound quality through my Beats headphones. Granted, without the headphones, the sound was tinnybut for the money..

Bluetooth worked fine with my Bose earphones and connected without problems to Bluetooth speakers round the house. No problems streaming from favourite streaming apps at all. Two USB 3’s provide ample connectivity although while loading 10mb spreadsheets did seem a bit slower than my standard laptop.
I’ve used wireless mouse and keyboard combo without problems and connected to an external monitor and there were no issues running two full HD screens.
The USB C port does an adequate job but its scope isn’t expansive.
    Expandability
The micro SD memory slot provides upto 128gb according to the spec and I’ve tested it at that level with little problem although the load speeds do seem a bit slower than my older i5 laptop.
The interesting thing was the ability to plug in an additional SSD. On removing the little panel at the back (which isn’t covered in the instruction manual, it’s clear that it’s not the normal SSD size slot — it’s tiny. After a bit of research I found the M2 SATA III SSD (Small form) bought for under thirty pounds…..Transcend 120GB SATA III MTS420S 42mm M.2 SSD420S SSD.
After installing the Transcend software and initialising the drive (Windows key +R, then type diskmgmt.msc [enter]) it linked in without a problem. Just wishing I’d bought the 240gb to see if it would have worked.grass is always greener right?
In summary, for the money this is an impressive little laptop that has plenty of possibilities.
    Downsides:
    Build Quality
Non UK keyboard layout rectified with silicone skin
Small on board SSD and small expansion capability
Alsofor some strange reason the trackpad pointer magically goes back the windows key in the corner and flicks up the start menu a little too regularlyworks fine with a mouse though!
    Positives:
    Light
    Fast start-up
Good basic laptop for office work, emails, browsing, video, music etc
6gb RAM — takes a bit to slow it up!
Handled everything I threw at it
Battery — lasted 8 hours before being down at 20% including watching the film.
    Summary
For the money — really can’t complain especially if sales take off and they commit to the UK market with a UK keyboard. Minor niggles only — great value for money.

    Excellent quality stylish laptop
Excellent value for money stylish laptop. Easy to set up and use with a great vibrant full HD screen. 6gb ddr3 ram and 64gb of expandable storage makes it ideal for surfing the Web or more intensive tasks. Has 2 USB ports, tf card slot, m2 expansion slot and earphone socket.
Fast boot up time and a nice responsive screen makes it a good 13″ laptop. Nice keyboard feel and comes with a silicone keyboard cover which protects it from spillages and prevents dust getting under the keys. It feels sturdy and well built but is quite light and portable and easy to carry around. I’ve been impressed with the battery life so far. All in all a great 13″ screen 6gb ram 64gb Tom laptop with the latest Intel processor. Highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersOkay for the price
Arrived just 24 hours ago. So this is only my initial impression. Start is not as quick as some reviewers have said. May be because I am used to top of the range Mac . Size and weight are perfect for my old painful wrist. Setting up was quick except at while putting the D.O.B. No instructions.Video and sound are OK. Initially it was low, but I felt it was loud enough after a while. Hard drive although it said 64 GB, it is only showing 46GB after the basic installations. The left and right clicks are quite tough . Again, may be I felt because I am used to Mac’s very light touch. There are two key boards (American and U.K) which I have not seen before.(I have been working with Laptops for23 years and used 6 laptops and desk top before.) Typing is easy as the touch is quite light. One feature touch pad blocker I have not tried so far. Battery life is good six hours before needing a charge while using multiple pages. The charge on indicator is very tiny. All in all it is good value for money. My only comment is if any old person is buying first laptop, it is not for him/her. Suitable for the pensioner’s budget but difficult to set it up if they don’t have anybody to help. In the long run how it will be? For now I needed a light weight one for my two months holiday and it will do the job.

20th Aug 19–Three weeks down the line. I have been using everyday to see how it works. On off button is needing a bit more pressure compared to 1st day, sometimes even I have to press twice. More than that, I was getting eight hours with one charge and continuous usage some time opening two or three pages at a time. But now I think I am getting about five or six hours. Worse than that is, product details say it takes 1CR5 battery. I was searching on line everywhere and there is no such battery available. I wonder whether the description is wrong or if it is Chinese battery, what is the equivalent battery in U.K? I would like to know if any one had chance to replace the battery.
23rd Aug— replacement batteries are not available anywhere within my search. Asked the seller sell me one now before I go on holiday and he would not and asked me to send the laptop by courier. Did not offer any postage. Could not get any suitable Tf card either and he does not supply. So buyer beware !!

    Amazing for the price.
I am seriously impressed with this laptop! Sure, it isn’t something that would compare to an expensive laptop, but for an entry-level laptop, it is brilliant. It was easy to set up and set up profiles for my children and they are delighted with their laptop. The screen is decent and a great size, for the price this laptop is great and it will be perfect for my kids to do homework on. The keyboard is American but it comes with a soft keyboard to put over it which turns it into a UK keyboard. I’ve no idea how it works but it does and it stays in place and is soft to type on, so don’t let that put you off. If you are looking for a basic laptop then this is definitely one to consider, you can do a lot worse and I’m seriously impressed by how much you get for your money.

Golden Review Award: 254 From Our UsersWorks really well
Very nice budget EZbook/laptop/notebook, not really sure on all the different terms used but personally I would just call it a small laptop but I would guess they are named or defined by if they have a drive, network port, size or touchpad but the reality makes it a small portable computer regardless of the name.

This arrived well packed and protected in a brown branded box with the charger, instruction manual and a rubber keyboard protector something I wasn’t expecting but none the less a welcome and useful addition easy to fit, easy to remove for cleaning.

After unpacking it and giving it a full charge I set it up, all very straight forward with Windows 10 and you can have Cortana assist in the setup if you wish, either way it takes around ten minutes to set it up and you can connect to your WiFi and log into your Microsoft account if you have one while going through the setup or skip and do it later. The first thing I did was check for Windows updates and let it do its thing installing them, no matter what computer you buy there will almost always be updates for the system and I would always advise this as the first thing you do.

The default browser is Edge but as I normally use Chrome so I downloaded and installed that so I could log into my account and have it mirror the browser on my desktop PC, I then installed an anti virus, I use Avast which is free and fairly good but there are several free alternatives, now I was ready to give it a good test.

The touch pad is very responsive and works well but as I have been using a mouse for over 25 years I find I am much more comfortable using one so fitted a wireless one I have which is plug and play instantly recognised, I tested the micro SD card reader slot which worked perfectly and could play a video file from it without interruption or any stutter, I tested a USB 3.0 with a USB stick and found the transfer speeds fine and recognition instant.

This is a very light unit and also has a slot if you wish to fit a SSD (solid state drive) to either increase the capacity or the drive reading speed, I found this to be nice and quick, the display is nice and clear, all the speed tests I did gave good results, it played video from the internet seamlessly and handled browsing multitasking very well.

Overall I really like it, it’s not a high end gaming laptop but doesn’t pretend to be or have a price tag that reflects it, it starts nice and quick, handles multitasking very well, isn’t bloated with a load of software you don’t want or won’t ever use out of the box, the battery life is very good, it comes with two USB 3.0 ports and a micro SD card reader along with WiFi and Bluetooth so connecting it up to other devices isn’t a problem and I have given it full marks.

    Surprisingly capable Notepad/laptop
    Surprisingly capable Notepad/laptop.

    The screen is pin sharp,
The battery life is about 6 hours on full charge
The machine is Win 10 and will update when closing down and restarting, no problems when it does, but keep it plugged in.

    The keyboard is US
A handy and comfortable UK keyb overlay is provided, change Win 10 language to UK British, the Queens own and it will type pounds etc.

I added an MS mouse to one of to USB 3,0 ports, trackpads are alright, but annoying for longer use.
    It works just fine.

One annoying feature is the POWER switch is where the Backspace key is supposed to be, watch out. I just switched the machine off when trying to correct a spelling mistake. Had to type this again, which means it is shorter now.

It should really require a 3 second press or move it away from a commonly used position!

Machine is quite capable, the small Hard disc means its good for Browsing, shopping and emails etc. But not for gaming or heavy MS Office.
Libre Office (6.1GB) is free and works fine, add an anti-virus program (YOU MUST DO THIS) and a decent browser as the supplied ‘Edge’ is simply awful. Firefox and the slimmer Vivaldi work fine, Chrome will eat your precious memory, even when its closed, not for this machine thank you.

Reviews, the existing ones have surnames first and mostly the exactly same boiler plate text, obviously false.
However they are not needed, this is a good computer for any travel work, student, teenager homework, shopping at e-bay and Amazon, ie I quite like it a lot on the whole.

Just remember to change the language from US drivel to UK English, it affects the keyboard, the voice drawl from Cortana and measurements, currency, it’s all done from voice. If unsure, just ask the Cortana device, it will find it.
Tip: Settings is the Win key and the letter i.

Very impressive for a budget laptop from an unfamiliar brand
I’ll admit I had low expectations of this laptop. A brand I was unfamiliar with, with a spec that seemed slightly too high for the low price, and with an existing review profile that could potentially have been described as suspicious. I was gearing up to slag it off and list all the things that were wrong with it- but honestly I can’t. For the price, I’m seriously impressed.

It’s a nice, compact, small laptop. The build quality is a touch mediocre- the plastic feels a little cheap and it’s slightly heavier than you might expect. However the screen is *excellent*, really clear and bright and impressive, with a wide viewing angle as well.

The Apollo Lake processor may only be rated at 1.1Gz, but for everyday tasks it really zips along. Edge and Chrome, email and Facebook, file operations, and online shopping (Amazon of course)… the processor takes all that in its stride and you really don’t need a super-powered machine to do that stuff. I’d been expecting to get irritated by waiting times and unresponsiveness, but it just isn’t the case.

Understandably, it does have its limits. It will play YouTube videos fine, but doing that whilst pushing the processor with something else does slow it down somewhat. In the absence of a good video card, Steam games with complex 3D games and lighting effects crawl along somewhat. This is not a gaming machine, unless the games you’re intending to play are all retro and 8-bit, in which case maybe it is. So far I’ve tried it with Minecraft Java edition, a couple of Steam games and a couple of DOSbox games, and for that kind of gaming level, I remain pleasantly surprised.

Battery life is OK, but not amazing. At 100% full Windows will estimate over 7 hours of battery life, but in practice that isn’t even close to true. Depending on what you’re doing and how much you’re pushing the processor, I would very vaguely estimate off-power battery life at three or four hours, give or take. The lack of a spinning disc drive and any apparent internal cooling helps keep a small battery going for longer, it seems. Windows’ options for choosing whether running off battery should prioritise performance or battery life definitely do make an impact, allowing you to sustain the battery for longer by slowing the PC down, making it completely unsuitable for games but still adequate for email.

The closest thing I have to a real gripe about this device is how short the power cable is. It’s a proprietary cable, with a proper 3-pin plug at one end and a small round connector at the other, and it’s only just long enough to reach from a plug socket on the floor up to desk level. For three quarters of people I expect it will be long enough, but I reckon a quarter of the people who buy this will find themselves grumbling that they wish the power lead was longer.

Bluetooth connectivity is strong, and connecting a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse works a treat. I tend to connect proper keyboards to laptops as I normally don’t like laptop keyboards, but this one’s actually OK as well. It feels a little bit like a Mac slim keyboard initially, with very shallow keys, but unusually it also comes with a floppy plastic cover (loose inside the box) which fits snugly on top of those keys and which transforms your keyboard into something a bit more protected, but which also feels a bit more like an 80’s ZX Spectrum keyboard.

Windows 10 version 1803 was preinstalled, and after going through the standard initial Cortana set-up, you can start using it within ten minutes of first turning it on, though Windows Update took somewhat longer to update to the latest Windows the first time it was restarted. Not a problem, just standard Windows behaviour.

At time of writing, this laptop is priced at just a shade under two hundred quid, and on the basis of that really competitive price, it’s definitely a 5 star item. For a budget Windows laptop (proper Windows, not Windows in S mode), good for travel and email, and on which you don’t need to run high-powered games or complex processes, this is a really really strong budget option.

    Good laptop, poor manual
OK this is not one of the major known names in the UK, but the price reflects this and it’s ‘limitations’. If you were to use this for gaming requiring 3D movement etc, this isn’t for you but then, would you spend less than 200 of a laptop if that were what you wanted to do? Similarly, it will struggle with multiple apps open at once but, again, that’s not what this is for.
As a straight forward simple laptop, this holds it’s own against a lot of better known makes, yet costs less. The screen is more than acceptable for word processing, basic gaming and the like and can cope quite happily with the internet/email et al.
It’s not as lightweight as I had anticipated, but it is acceptable. I generally use an iPad (smaller) and a 27″ Mac with a 5G screen display, yet I found this laptop’s screen quite good.
My laptop came fully up-to-date with the latest version of Windows 10 (so needed no updating). If I were to find fault, it is with the documentation with was abysmal. 1. It didn’t start with the screen the laptop starts with and 2. It assumes the user already has an in-depth knowledge of Windows 10.
I also find it strange that there was a key to turn off the touchpad, but no reference to it (nor any of the keystrokes) in the ‘manual’. It would have helped if there were a link to download an in-depth manual, but that’s only useful if the buyer can get past the early opening screens without help.

Overall, I still like this laptop, but not for the faint-hearted perhaps

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA great little notebook style PC laptop
My first impression if I am honest as I got it out of the box, was not that promising. It looked and felt a little cheap, (but then it is cheap compared to big brands and higher spec PC laptops). It didn’t turn on straightaway so I put it onto charge. After an hour, there was sufficient charge not to have it connected to the main power supply. Start up seemed little slow in comparison to what I am used to (I have a two year old laptop with 8GB RAM, but still starts up quicker than this).
    What I liked:
It is small, relatively lightweight, so wouldn’t be too cumbersome to carry around for business meetings, or if you are a student taking it between class.
It comes with Windows 10 preinstalled, but will need to have the updates downloaded.
Once up and running, it seems to be able to handle some basic tasks fairly well.
It comes with two USB ports and a HDMI port

    What I didn’t like:
The trackpad is a little strange, and it also feels very cheaply put together, and I am not sure how long that would last under heavy use.
I haven’t tried any gaming on it, but I doubt it would cope too well.
The speakers are very tinny sounding.

Would I recommend this? If you want to have a simple office based computer for word processing, creating a presentation on, emailing, and surfing the web, then yes (as long as you don’t have all those applications up and running at the same time). Would I recommend this for music production, video editing, online gaming, watching movies or listening to music? No. If you wanted all of the aforementioned, then this would be 3 stars at best, but if you want something that is simple, but good for office use, then yes, at 4 stars I would recommend. It will all depend on your budget.

Good value for money / looks nice / works well (so far)
Can’t fault this computer for its price. Definitely good value for money. Would buy this brand again (as long as nothing unreasonable happens). Be amazing if they had this in white, bigger screen, and that they work on getting it even lighter! But not complaining.
    Definitely 5 Stars.
