I purchased this used but in very good condition as a secondary computer to run various open-source operating systems.
I have turned this rather humble Intel Celeron N3350 (appears to be fanless) based computer into a quad-booting machine running Linux Mint 19.3, Manjaro Linux 20.2.1, Fedora 35 and Windows 10 (never used and is in its uninitialised state). Sadly, the 6GB of RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be expanded -, not without great effort anyway.
The internal SSD is a mere 64GB. The killer feature is the ability to install an M.2 SATA 2242 B+M Key type SSD drive. This enabled me to install other Oses (Linux variants) quite easily. What is more, just about everything works. This machine shines particularly under Linux Mint 19.3 (Tricia) and Manjaro Linux 20.2.1. Everthing works sterlingly.
It even ran GhostBSD 20 which is based on FreeBSD 12.2 with the correct resolution, keyboard, wifi and sound ; the only annoyance being the touch-pad mouse which remains unresponsive -, but only under GhostBSD. An external mouse worked perfectly.
****Update: GhostBSD 22.0.1, which is based on FreeBSD 13, runs perfectly with touchpad and all else. Very impressed.****
In short, this machine has exceeded all expectations. But it is early days as the negative reviews highlight sudden failure, keyboard and mouse issues ( may be caused by accidentaly hitting the mouse deactivation button which is in an odd place) and general poor build quality. But persons in the open-source community may find this computer interesting from the point of view of being expandable and able to run software other than the mainstream. Something an increasing amount of premium brands seem to be intent on making more challenging than it should be.
ice wee lap top, great price. Does everything I need for work and more.
I bought this over a year ago I think, and quickly wrote it off as rubbish and it’s been in a drawer ever since. I was hoping to play online poker tournaments on the go with it but that was a no-go. The software lagged so much it was unusable. Ended up just forking out over a grand for a high end laptop.
I had a clear out of my flat recently and came across this laptop again and I have to say, for the price, I’m now pretty impressed with it. It’s very lightweight and the battery lasts for ages compared to the high end laptops. Just remember what you’re paying though. You can’t multi task on this thing. It doesn’t like it. Just don’t even try! But it’s 190…. that’s the thing. It’s incredibly cheap so remember that if you’re expecting it to work like a 500+ laptop.
I’ve been using it for the past week or so in bed for PlayStation Remote Play and Netflix and it’s performed really well at these tasks. And no need to keep it plugged in constantly like you would with a proper gaming laptop. The battery goes on and on. Loading programs takes quite a long time but once they’re running, you’re all good.
Glad I found this again. It’s the little streaming workhorse I forgot I had! Cheap and cheerful, slim and light, sturdy build, 1080p screen, 6Gb of RAM…not sure what else you would expect to get for this price.
I bought these as starter laptops for my grandchildren and both they and their parents are happy with my choice.
Great for a travel, work on the go and at home. Battery last long. Easy to use. It was a good choice
An excellent laptop with fast response over the 5g wi-fi.
Excellent product, easy to use, fast delivery and easy setup
In seen a couple of bad reviews on this item but I chanced it…
Amazing for my first ever computer that I bought myself …
Good for uni work and work in general…
I wouldn’t say it’s a gaming computer but worth the money
Purchased as a Xmas Present, Arrived as expected, at a good price.
So far, so good. We are using this for home schooling in lockdown 3 here in the UK. Easy to use.
Does what I need. Nice and light. Good screen and battery life.
Really quick delivery easy set up hopefully will make home schooling during lockdown a bit easier for my children.
Full HD screen is good for price, but is slow as expected for price bracket.
Decent laptop for a good price. Bought for 8 year old. Runs games like roblox well. Good purchase!
The charger is broken and I cannot get any correct charger. The Jumper customer team kindly agreed to send a new one.
Excellent customer team suppo
This is a fantastic little laptop, brought last year fr my son for Xmas. Does everything it should, quick and easy to set up and speed is good when working.
I’m now purchasing another for myself
Its my sons laptop and he’s very happy with it, he uses it for gaming and school work
Easy to set up, very clear graphics. Haven’t yet experienced how long it lasts on full charge but seems to be lasting well. Its beyond lightweight, didn’t even feel like a laptop in the box!
I wanted something for coursework that was easy to use but with an average screensize. Its both, a nice touch with the silicone keyboard cover too!
only fault I can find was cant find the pound sign. delighted with it and what a great price
Very sleek, crisp display and good running speed, connects and loads images and videos quickly.
This laptop has a great size and it is lightweight so perfect for home use but also for travel, work or holiday.. it is great design and it is easy to use, working very smoothly
Great laptop for reasonable price
For the price, this is a very good laptop for everyday usage. With 6GB of RAM it is more than capable of running Windows 10 OS smoothly whilst allowing you to perform everyday tasks such as browsing the web, writing emails, playing music, etc…. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 as well, which is a bonus.
The laptop is thin and looks sleek in it’s design. It feels solidly constructed but still lightweight. The screen is a good size and arrived with no marks. The battery life is also surprisingly quite good – we are able to get over 5 hours when it is used heavily. It includes 2x USB 3.0 ports and a single mini HDMI port, a TF port and 3.5mm audio jack.
For the price, no complaints whatsoever. It is helping to make our everyday tasks a lot easier for us.
Best item I’ve bought on amazon.
Prefect laptop for anything you may need, looks as good as the very top of the range laptops and has all the features you could want.
Cannot rate this higher!
This is my first venture into Windows 10. Previously I’ve been using Windows XP.
I wanted something cheap & cheerful to learn/practice Win 10 on in case I didn’t take to it. But I have, and I’ve also taken to this laptop. I never expected anything so good for that price.
It’s quick, responsive, has a good screen & I’ve enjoyed using it. That said I only use it for office work, emails, browsing & playing D&D on Roll20. No major gaming…
My only quibble would be the size of the hard drive – just 64GB. Even my old Windows XP EeePC I bought 11 years ago had 160GB!
That said, on the positive side again, I have a 256GB SDXC card in it. The write up on Amazon says it’ll take up to a 128 but I thought I’d try a 256 & it seems to work fine. No problems at all…
I may even buy a second one to keep home & work stuff separate…
Bought this laptop for office, Internet, the settings were really easy to set up, I’m very happy with the keyboard protector, my last computer damaged with coffee. Also happy with high quality images and sounds , very comfortable keyboard and light weight. I absolutely love this laptop.
Ok it early days! I got for my 14 year old to do his studies at home during quarantine and so far so good I only use for his school work and I’ve told him not other use I don’t want it to become laggy. But for price it is perfect !!
Upon delivery outer box slashed open (hole in inner box) and had been clearly opened for inspection not good.
Haven’t found warranty certificate? Besides this its a good product fast sooth nice keyboard.
thanks
James
