Love i
So pleased with my new mixer and my Mary Berry cake book. Easy to use and clean.
Great mixe
I am very pleased with my mixer which was a gift to myself. I wish I’d bought one many years ago. There’s nothing I could say against this great mixer. I love using it. I keep it on the worktop in my utility room ready for any excuse to use it.
Great mixe
Easy to use, solid stand mixer. So much easier for me than using a hand mixer.
Great mixe
Had an old Kenwood for 50 years and have passed this on to my daughter. Hoping this one lasts as long
Fabulous!
Wish I’d bought this years ago.. I’d forgotten just how great a Kenwood can be!
Superb!
We have used this almost 20 times in 2 months and it’s been brilliant. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.
Replacement for 55 for old yr old Chef
The Mary Berry was the Chef I chose because of the handles on the mixing bowl. I have used a Chef for the last 55yrs for making my school Christmas recipe. The Mary Berry Chef is as good as my old Chef at coping with the quantity. It is lighter and easier to move around. The colour is good for most kitchens.
Value for money and I know will last for many years!!
Having vowed and taken on board recommendations I decided on The Mary Berry Kenwood Chef edition after gifting my old one to my daughter! I am pleased with the easy to use controls and the speeds settings on the new Kenwood and the splash guard has a new easy to use style!
Very good
Love it. Very good quality. Worth the price I paid.
Great buy
I bought this to replace the Kenwood I bought 40 yrs ago. Original Attachments fi
Great machine
Great product. Easy to use and makes great cakes. Disappointed I did not receive the cook book which should have been included
Order and delivery prompt only disappointed recipe book was NOT in packaging as advertised.
A very good stand mixer to use, large mixing bowl you can easily make double recipe enabling you to stock up freezer too. No problems with mixer as Kenwood is a trusted and reliable brand. I was disappointed that mary berry recipe book was NOT included in packaging as stated on outside of box.
Great produc
Bought to replace a 40 year Kenwood Chef, which sadly has finally died after many years of service. New product is a great replacement with some smart new features and all the virtues of the old unit. Only thing too prove its metal will be for this to last 40 years too!
Love it!
I have used all the attachments and they all work really well. I wasn’t much of a baker before, but now I make all of our bread, biscuits and cakes. The diet starts tomorrow!
The best on the market 👌
We bought this machine and very impressed how easy to clean and maintain , could of bought another type of machine although looked pretty not the amount of watts so got the kenwood but over the moon what a fantastic machine easy to clean after use thank you
I bought the Mary Berry Chef Elite as a birthday present for my wife and she is delighted with it. I knew the Kenwood Chef well from my time in electrical retailing back in the 1980s and was concerned that the quality might have dropped but needn’t have worried. It is still sturdily made and just slightly updated in style and colour.
It comes complete with whisk, dough hook and beater so it does everything that my wife wanted. She already had a Kenwood processor so doesn’t need the other attachments at the moment but the full range is available but a bit pricey. Our friends are pleased because we are supplying them with some lovely cakes and biscuits all made from recipes in the Mary Berry cookbook supplied with the mixer. (Bread is next on the agenda).
A great purchase at a very good price.
Lovely machine looks grea
It’s beautiful and big, lovely colour too my daughter really happy with it book is big book and has some great recipe it’s expensive but you get what you pay for.
Easy to use
Knocks the kitchenaid into touch, in my opinion the kenwood chef is far superior as the attachments lock into place unlike the kitchenaid
Which I had bought one a long time ago.
What a lovely piece of equipment in the kitchen, makes lovely bread , cakes . Made life easier as cooking lots of gluten free products you can’t buy in shops. Very easy to clean and looks good on my worktop.
Up to the job.
I had a Kenwood chef in1976, and only got rid of it last year 2019, it still worked but was so tatty. I really missed it so bought a new one, must say this one is so much quieter and much more efficient, maybe my old one was to old! I am very happy with this model. It is sturdy, quiet, and up to the job. Can’t beat a Kenwood.
Excelle
Brilliant. Love it. Bread and cakes so easy to make. Wish I’d hot one sooner.
Fantastic Product - Missing Item
Love my new Mary Berry Kenwood. Have made dozens of mince pies since purchase! However there was no Free Recipe Booklet with my mixer. This was the deal clincher over other Sellers!
Who do you contact for missing item?
Brilliant kitchen aid quality produc
Excellent replaced a 20 plus year old kenwood yet the attachments like blender still fit on new machine. Excellent smooth a lot quieter than old machine and no walking across the counter top in use which was mentioned in other reviews
Best piece of kitchen equipme
Having had a Kenwood Chef since 1975 which finally broke this year I replaced it with a kenwood chef elite which I am really pleased with. It’s easy to use and gives good results.
Good product / but order incomplete.
Great build quality, an does as stated on the box.
Very disappointed that the free recipes book was not in the box. Supplier unhelpful on first contact.
Quality produc
This was bought to replace a Kenwood Chef Titanium which has just stopped working after over 9 years use. The elite is a slightly lower model than my Titanium, but most of my attachments from my old one fit this model, which is good.If this one lasts another 9 years I will be happy
Over the last 30+ years, we’ve all become used to paying less and less for everything (in relative terms) and getting cheap crap made out of plastic or otherwise having corners cut in terms of bad design, poor components and a throwaway mentality that some new version or gadget will come along in a year or two. Whilst you would have no hint of this from looking at the Kenwood website, which is a train wreck of confusing and misleading information and poor marketing, but this is the BEST product in terms of quality that I have purchased in decades. It has a heft to it, with a heavy grade die-cast body, metal switches and levers, and the plastic it does have, for example the included splash-guard, has a feel of quality about it. It feels as if it will last for decades. The *clunk* as the head comes down into the bowl is like a quality BMW car door closing. Amazing. Quick explanation as the manufacturer website is so appalling. The Chef (classic) is the base model. The Chef Elite (this model) adds a slow speed ‘folding’ option and a ‘pulse’ option – both pretty useful IMHO. It has a more powerful motor, 1200w instead of 1000w. The Chef Titanium model adds a further motor upgrade, to 1500w and an upgrade from coated aluminium, but dishwasher safe, beaters to stainless steel. (the whisk is stainless with the Elite too, and perhaps the base Chef ‘classic’). The Titanium also has a light to illuminate the bowl, in case you like cooking in the dark 😮 . And then there is the regular, 4.6L capacity such as this item, or the XL ranges of each, which are larger. These latter, confusingly, seem to be called ‘Major’ on the Kenwood site in places, but not consistently – maybe a historical name? You can upgrade the beater to stainless steel for about 30, thus gaining effectively a Titanium spec model at slightly lower power for a saving of around 200. The Kmix models lack the high speed accessory port, so if you want a slicer or food processor or juicer or whatever, that’s not an option. Summary: overall a fantastic, British-designed (but sadly no longer British-made) product at a great price, let down by one of the worst marketing teams and websites I’ve experienced in over 30 years in technical sales. Now: to start baking with it…
A worthy machine to buy. Kenwood has a long history of providing a good quality machine.
I’ve always had a Kenwood and I missed my old one but I am glad I’ve got this model. It looks good,
attractive and sits on the work bench. It is efficient and easy to clean.
Love this. Passed my old one ( 60 + years old, passed on to me by my mum and still going strong) to my daughter. This one is much quieter, very responsive controls and I love the splash guard- so much less mess when making icing- and the handles on the bowl are useful. Really like the silver version – looks good on display in the kitchen.
Lovely
Lovely product. But I have been unable to register this purchase on Kenwood website – problem accessing the registration page
Fantastic
Absolutely love this mixer as far as I’m concerned it doesn’t have any faults apart from the fact I’m using it to much to make cakes and putting on weigh
We’ve always been a family who liked to bake but found something’s difficult just mixing by hand. This has elevated home cooking to another level.
This is a great machine. It feels well made and sturdy. It come apart easily for cleaning and the accessories are easy to use to fairly self explanatory. I haves used a family members Kenwood Chef that is years old and this is definitely a step up. It’s good and powerful and does well with bread and pizza dough.
All in all I’m glad we’ve got it. It’s not exactly cheap but after 2 weeks I’m sure it’s money well spe
My wife id delighted
Fantastic machine, well packaged and very quickly delivered.
My wife admitted to wishing she had one, so I got her one as a surprise. She is delighted with it and using it daily for cakes and pastry. Lovely stuff.
I thought the K beater was missing when I unpacked my mixer, but then found it embedded into the side of the big pieces ot polystyrene in the box. I have baked all day with now and it is so far fantastic.
Also the ‘Mary Berry’ book that comes with it is wonderful, cant wait to try out some of her recipes.
Excellent mixer Very easy to use.
Love my mixer. Very easy to use and my 14yo daughter loves using it to make cookies and cakes. Very strong and sturdy. Can’t compare to any other as this is my fist one but so far so good. Would highly recommend.
i have never paid more than a hundred pounds for a mixer in the past.
as i make bread twice a week they don,t last long,
was worried about spending this kind of money on one.
but i can say im glad i did ,very pleased with strength and quality of this produc
Fantastic cooks ki
I bought this to replace my beloved Kenwood Chef which was a wedding present more than 42 years ago & had been in constant use until it died last month. This one is even better, & is a fabulous help for baking – cakes to die for! Have since purchased the flexible beater which is proving its worth, & hubby is delighted with results.
Plan to buy a cover, but am still enjoying seeing it in my kitchen.
Really appreciate the handle on the bowl
Love it! My mom had one for years, opted for the elite simply on aesthetics but so glad the bowl has handles, makes it so much easier to tip out the ingredients. I am now using it to make brownies and muffins weekly.
The best item I had so fa
I like its durability and the power .Easy to use . I’m angry because the Greek Dealer doesn’t cover the warranty but I’ll take him to the court no problem. He denied the EU warranty .
Excellent, as described.
This planetary is excellent, very resistant and solid.
The accessories kit is of excellent quality.
It is easy to clean and mixes very heavy dough without any problem.
The noise is normal, considering that it is, in general, a noisy household appliance, if put at maximum power.
Original product and arrived in its original packaging.
* small note, we had to ask for a new shipment because the courier had reported the item as “delivered” instead it was not so.
The second shipment was very fas
Love it. Had an old Kenwood chef which finally gave up ater years of good service, Had a all in one machine but it was not the same. Bought this with a mincer and liquidiser attachment and I am now a very happy bunny. Wish had saved attachments for my old Kenwood Chef as they would have fitted this one
Pleased
Nice mixer with clean lines. Good price and quick delivery
This is the first stand mixer I’ve ever had and I am loving it, have used it loads but it is less stable than my mum’s Kenwood. (hers is about 3-4 years old and, i think, lower powered engine.)
The thing is it moves a lot; the whole upper section vibrates, (the splashguard moves back and forth about 5mm in relation to the bowl) and the whole unit moves across the worktop, almost rotating; (the back section seems to stay still and the front end moves,) even when it’s not on high speed or doing anything ‘hard work’, e.g. creaming butter and sugar for cake making, whisking eggs for meringue…
Having never had a stand mixer before I’m not sure if this is a common thing, all i know is my mum’s one doesn’t do it…!
