Built to last, easy to use and maintain

The whisk attachment is for egg whites only anything thicker will damage the internal cogs, easily replaced as a unit but not repairable it broken.

Everything else is bomb proof prep food like the professionals

    Definitely would recommend

Does everything well apart from the grinder. Wanted for coffee beans but the seal falls out as does the beans. Had to send the whole machine back to get a replacement grinder which is a considerable effort. Same thing happened with 2nd machine so just use my old grinder. Is the only issue. Otherwise fab

I have the multi-pro excel model. It is a great processor in general, easy to clean. just don’t use the whisking tool, it melted at my first use (I had read other reviews about this before buying so not too surprised). Now on the phone waiting for product support from Amazon. Hopefully they will be able to replace the broken part and not require me to return the whole thing.

Generally good, don’t use whisker tool

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen this first arrived I was very apprehensive, wondered if I’d bought too much as the box is absolutely massive., took me a few days to go thru everything as all the items come in their own individual boxes in that great big humongous box. But I get there in the end, there’s so much to this food processor.
I did have a cheaper version which was similar, but that one was so much lighter as the bowls were all plastic. My only niggle about this is the thermo glass jug, it’s so heavy what with being so big and thick sturdy glass., but it’s extremly quick and powerful to blend., also it doubles up to be a soup maker which is absolutely brilliant.

I wasn’t prepared to spend quite this much tbh, but b’cs 1) has all the blades in the attachments already,
    2) liked the idea of the power of the blender, 3) also that it comes with the multimill, 4) Jug is Thermo glass so doubles up as a soup blender. I haven’t used the discs yet nor the citrus press as Iv got an extremly powerful juicer that I use instead.

I think the metal body is stylish, also how large the feedtube; much larger than my previous one.

It comes with a lovely cookbook; I so wish I could have a chef of my own to cook those scrumptious meals as I haven’t got the time to prepare recipes.

It does take time to get used to everything, it’s hard when you’ve only a limited amount of space and get frustrated when got no where to keep/store items/cookwear., If I put things away I never seem to use those items so I prefer to have everything out and then have to use the dining table as a countertop to prepare/dish food out; it’s so frustrating….I’d love to have a large kitchen, but I’m no where sorry for purchasing this MultiPro Sense Food Processor from Kenwood. A big help in the kitchen.

A nice healthy breakfast smoothie recipe:
Tablespoon of porridge oats + Granola,
    Pint of milk,
1 banana, crushed dates, few strawberries,
    1tablespoon Protein powder,
    1dessert spoon nut butter
Handful of seeds, handful of nuts
Blend for 2/3 minutes on high
Lovely and silky to drink immediately

*If consistency is too thick, put little bit more milk and blend again/or stir milk in*

Box is ginormous, every item is in its own separate box. This screams professional.

I am so thrilled with this purchase!
This is truly an investment, as its quite expensive but it can do so much and really makes cooking easier. We’ve only had it a few weeks and already tried out most of the attachments. Only today I made pumpkin cupcakes, where I needed to grate pumpkin (something I normally dread) and today it was made effortless by the machine. Then I swapped out the grater for a mixing attachment and started adding my ingredients, and because it has a scale feature, I didn’t need any other equipment so less washing up!

Be careful it is v big, takes up a lot of space, far too big for the average size kitchen, best to goto a retail shop and see them, choose the one you want then look elsewhere for a good deal. The photo on Amazon does not indicate the size needed to use the equipment, and no sizes given.

I thoroughly researched various food processors over a month and kept coming back to this model. The reality is, I didn’t need it, but I love cooking and ‘playing’ in the kitchen so treated myself as it isn’t cheap; however it is worth every penny. I had a Kenwood processor about 22 years ago and it never blew my mind to be honest, this one I’ve sung it’s praises to everyone! High quality parts, heavy duty bit of kit and very stylish. I’ve seen this model used on various tv shows and found it easier to google video demonstrations on how to use the parts, rather than laboriously read the manual. It does take a lot of kitchen space, which I was prepared for, having read reviews on Amazon. It has taken two shelves in my larder unit but I have comfortably spaced the parts out so they are easy to get to. The blades can whizz the hardest of vegetables and make amazing soups in no time. Cleaning is straightforward which was also something to bear in mind with any of these gadgets. It is a very weighty item, as is the glass blender but somehow this gives me comfort knowing it’s a high end quality item. I am delighted and provided you have plenty of space this item exceeds all expectations.

A good size food processor, up to the demands of a variety of tasks; makes crumble mixtures, scones and cakes easily, soups and batters are blended quickly and smoothly, and chopping vegetables and breadcrumbs a very quick job indeed. A very versatile machine, with many different uses. Very easy and quick to clean, ready to use again.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe is a review for the Kenwood FPM910 MultiPro Excel 1300W (as Amazon has an annoying habit of mixing up similar but different models).

This was bought to replace the Kenwood MultiOne which failed 3 times.

The MultiPro Excel is a big beast, being of a square-designed base unit, to which you attach the various modules.

There is one big difference to get used to if you are coming from a ‘Chef’ or the MultiOne unit, both of which had a bowl with Whisk, Mixer and Dough hook attachments. All these jobs are now done in the food processing bowl through the use of the blade or various attachments.

Pastry: Essential to use the metal blade and add the flour and fat first and pulse or gradually mix until you get the breadcrumbs. Then add a little water gradually, while pulsing or controlling the speed for a few seconds until it forms the dough — then stop. It only takes a few seconds — any longer will result in the thick dough ball being pummelled around the container and creating a lot of vibration and shaking which won’t do the unit any good.

Whisking Egg Whites: This is where a lot people go wrong. The Whisk is only to be used for eqq whites and making meringue — nothing else and certainly not batter mix — it is too heavy for the whisk mechanism to cope with! Whisk the egg whites (5-6) on their own for about 30-40 seconds — that’s all it takes. Then you can add the caster sugar to stiffen them if required, by gradually adding the sugar from the opening in the top. This only takes another 30 seconds or so. Essential to make sure the plastic container is dry and clean before use.

Folding Tool: Use this for making mousses and for adding air into light mixtures.

Dough Blade: I have not used this as yet, preferring to use the metal blade for pastry making. The dough blade is plastic and is for some types of dough.

Slicing & Grating: There are 7 cutting discs supplied with this model — but others are available like a French Fry disc for chopping potatoes and making your own French fries (note fries, not chips)!

    7 Discs supplied:
    Thin cutting disc (2mm)
    Thick cutting disc (4mm)
    Thin grating disc (2mm)
    Thick grating disc (4mm)
    Extra fine grater disc
    Fine Julienne disc
    Decorative slicing disc
    Optional: French Fry Disc

Citrus Press: I use this a lot for juicing lemons and oranges — great for making Lemon Meringue pies.

Grinder / Miller: Really useful — make your own caster or icing sugar from standard granulated in seconds — considering they charge 2-3 times the price for buying it ready made in the shops, this is a no-brainer. This unit just plugs onto the main module — lock and load. Great for crushing nuts and harder foods that you want to chop or granulise.

Liquidiser / Blender — Heat and Cold resistant glass — great for making smoothies in seconds, blending soups and liquidising hot or cold liquids — again the unit just clicks onto the main base unit.

The unit comes with a large plastic case for storing all the discs in safely and also space for the metal blade when not using it. There is also a mini-bowl and mini chopper blade if you are preparing smaller quantities of ingredients — I’ve not found I need to use this as yet.

Scales: One great feature is the built-in scales that you can easily switch between ounces or grams. Being able to zero-out the weight as you add each ingredient is a real bonus and saves using multiple bowls and separate scales.

The system also comes with an internal overflow cover, that you can insert into the main food processor bowl. This increases the capacity when working with liquids, as it stops the liquid from being pushed up and out of the lid under the centrifugal force.

Overall we are really pleased with the performance — it is quite a versatile unit, and we make good use of this every week. It is easy to clean and store. A useful feature is the cable storage — you may not realise it at the time, but the cable can be pushed back into the hole where the cable extrudes. It takes a little effort, but it can store the whole cable, just leaving the plug protruding, so really saves space. The unit is stainless steel with a square footprint and looks great in the kitchen.

Storage is perfect — and if you have limited space between your cupboards over your work surface, then simply remove the main spindle and processing bowl, and attach the miller instead if height is an issue.

So far it is doing everything it says on the box and I have no complaints about it. Spares are readily available including attachments, drive belts, motors, spindles and accessories from major spares retailers.

Very versatile - but read the manual!

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI bought this back in march. I run a little cafe and it has gone through semi-professional use daily for the last six months. Im especially happy I bought the model with built in scale. Huge time saver (and less washing) it is holding up well to being knocked about and washed in a commercial dish washer. Good volume capacity (it’s twice the size of my home one) and the glass blender jug is good quality heavy glass can stand the heat. The machine and accessories do take up a lot of space so if you have a small kitchen bear this in mind
    Very happy customer.
I will absolutely recommend this to anyone who bakes/cooks a lot.

Absolutely love this food processor. It’s such a powerful machine, capable of slicing, grating, whisking, kneading…. the list goes on…. and all with ease. Was slightly worried as I had it delivered overseas – 8,000 miles away. It arrived in perfect condition and within 5 days! Have enjoyed using it so much to make so many things including bread, carrot cake, brownies plus all the usual veggie chopping. Could not recommend this machine more. 5 stars from me!

Great machine, with lots of attachments, and the quality one expects from Kenwood (I am still using the FP I bought in 1997). However, this new one is a bit too big and bulky for me; had I not had it shipped to France, I would have tried to change it for a slightly smaller model.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI LOVE this machine! It makes everything so easy and it’s all easy to clean too. I must admit that when it arrived I was flabbergasted by the size and weight of the parcel. It is a serious bit of kit and with so many attachments that do so many things you need a decent amount of cupboard space for it. So far I have used the graters, processor blade, scales, citrus juicer and can’t wait to try all the other bits and bobs too. The motor is very powerful and everything is very solidly built so I anticipate I will have this and enjoy it for many years to come.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersHave only had this one day, took a little bit of time to read up on all the features and set it all up with a pre-wash etc. but wow when you turn it on – even on the lowest setting it does some serious blending and is so quiet, turning it up full it still remains pretty quiet and effortlessly blitsess through food. I made a veggie bread for baby weaning in the main blender with the blade and then added the dough hook to mix in the eggs and flour. Gave it a wash and then used the smaller blender bowl and blade to make a large batch of hummus. The built in weighing scale is excellent, I added my ingredients one by one to the blender bowl and reset the scales each time, no separate dirty bowls! Spatula supplied is brilliant. This is all I’ve made so far, will update the review when I’ve gone through the rest of the attachments. Like any blender, washing all the bits can be a bit of a pain, but that’s unavoidable, most parts are dishwasher proof but I think hand washing is best. The blender is so big it does take a bit of used to getting on and off lids and locking into position but practice makes perfect. Have gone through so many small blenders in the past, with faults and motors burning out etc. I really hope this goes the distance, with a 5 year warranty it does give me a lot of confidence! Expensive machine but if it continues to deliver it’s still cheaper than buying ones that will continue to fail.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAssembly: Easy, except for the spice grinder attachment. This can be awkward and fiddly.

Use: Fantastic. However, it should show you how to use the juicer component and I referred to Youtube for this. One of the adverts.

Overall: wonderful. I love it, love it, love it!

Drawback: the four covers on the “feet” of the base. I have removed these as they can cause the base to stick to the countertop and affect the in built scales. In other words, they can throw the scales off dramatically which is very annoying. Once I removed the covers this problem was remedied.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was able to purchase this unit from Amazon Warehouse on Black Friday. I was a little worried about what condition it would be in when it was opened, but I had nothing to worry about as other than the box, all items were unused. A complete bargain in my eyes!

The machine is brilliant. We try and make fresh home cooked food for our toddler and it can be quite a big chore on the weekend to batch cook. But with this machine (please note I have only had it a week), so far I have been able to get ingredients ready to bake muffins
and cakes and it also grates vegetables effortlessly. I am looking forward to seeing what else it can go with all the other accessories.

The only downside is that it is large and heavy, so it and it’s accessories do need lots of storage space. Also cleaning it can be a little fiddly, but most of the accessories are dish washer friendly. The only other thought I have is that the buttons that control the weighing scale feature can get, for example, flower stuck around the rubber buttons making the cleaning a little tricky. Perhaps future versions could leave the display on the top but have the buttons on the side.

Those niggles so far aren’t enough to not rate this a 5 star item though. Highly recommended. If things change I will update this review.

Golden Review Award: 57 From Our UsersThe FPM910 takes some getting used to, theres a lot of power,a lot of machine and so many accessories its big powerful and heavy. It is delivered in a huge box just slightly under a meter or so in size(box).
I have had my Kenwood for a few weeks now and I am still getting used to how it works. If any aspect of it isn’t locked in properly it wont work so that means the safety features are very robust.
This item would not suit a small kitchen you really do need a good amount of storage space for the accessories etc.
Once you start using the food processor you will want to spend as much time as possible slicing, dicing, chopping and grating before you wash up and pack it down.
I love every aspect of this machine I spent a whole year thinking about this purchase and finally made the decision to buy it. The build quality is excellent, the precision of the design engineering is wonderful. The unit is too heavy for me to pack it away and take it out again so at the moment it has pride of place on my work top. I have a large kitchen so it works well for me. I wish that I had bought it sooner.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWow, I love this food processor. I haven’t encountered any problems so far and you really get what you pay for with this one. I have made nut butter in less than a minute with it, dough, veggie burgers, ground spices and they all came out great. Scale incorporated is super useful. The spice mill that comes with it is absolutely amazing. It is incredibly sturdy and it looks like it’s going to last me for a really long time.

Really better than any other food processing equipment I ever owned. Really recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersIt’s a lovely solid piece of kit. I melted my old one by making nut butter! And the dough incident at Christmas coupled with a design fault left debris inside the handles of it. Yuk. I admit though that I feel very nervous at having spent so much money but I love the blender and brilliant spice mill. The fact that you can undo the blade base from both units mean you can get them cleaned properly. However they are stiff. I needed to use a spoon to very gently lever the base of the spice mill to introduce a bit of air. The machine comes with a lot of safety mechanisms that drove me mad when I first used it as I kept forgetting. It’s a very quiet machine and a bit like a posh car, it doesn’t feel it’s going that fast when on the fastest setting but the results are great and it looks so effortless. The capacity is great too. I much prefer the real whisks compared to the disc of my old machine which was useless. This together with the blender and mill are why I chose it over a magi mix.You need to make space for all the bIts. yOu can sIt In tHe Box It comes in!
