    Good, but very American (USA)
It’s great and (once you’ve removed the 2 or 3 slightly suspect cards) much fun to play with family. It is very, very American, as you would imagine with it being an American game, which means there needs to be quite a bit of explaining. Will have a look for a British version, but this certainly does the job in the meantime.

After a few games you see the same cards, need an extension pack.

So fun and silly! Lots of Americanisms that we didn’t get…but that’s to be expected.

Not as funny as we though it would be
We thought this would be a great kid version of cards against humanity so bought it for our 11yo. Some of the “answers” are too young for our 11yo so not as funny. It’s very Americanised too, so once again some of the humour is lost. Would suggest looking for a uk version if there even is one. I would not recommend.

Good but not as good as Cards against humanity
This is a good alternative for kids to play but be warned your world wise teenagers will not appreciate it, especially if they know of the adult version. Some funny answers to be had but not as cringeworthy or histaerical as your quiet wife placing the audacious answers in the adult one.

Would recommend for younger or naieve children but let’s face it, they will want the full on version if they know about it.

    Do it! Just buy it…
For context: My 11year old daughter rolls her eyes at the mention of a “family game night” and would love nothing more than to be holed away in her bedroom listening to something that vaguely resembles music.

I brought this for Christmas as we were hosting all the family (ages 5-85) and genuinely everyone was able to play. Moreover, everyone was able to enjoy this game. Some even laughed so hard that their cheeks hurt well in to the next day.

On the surface, and for the younger ones, this game is just about making silly sentences; for those old enough to pick up on innuendo it’s awkward fun; and for the adults it’s utterly brilliant to see an entire family all play together and ENJOY each other’s company.

FYI- there are no eye rolls at the mention of game night anymore. Win!

A lot of fun, but there are some cards that are definitely a bit more mature. Be aware that even though this is designed to play with a younger audience it may still be a bit riskque.

Filled with potty humour but of a more PG13 variety – my son is who is 10 loves it, as do the adults of 30 yrs+…… maybe that says more about our humour???

    How wrong was I?
When I bought this, I was a little nervous having read reviews and never having played the original game of Cards against Humanity but I have heard how controversial it can be.

It took me 2 months after purchase to bite the bullet and play this with my son (14) and daughter (12). As their mum, I was very anxious.

    HOW WRONG WAS I?!

We have played it numerous times since and everytime it gets better and better. The cards may repeat, and sometimes dont make any sense but we have all cried with laughter.
I’m very lucky that my children have a wicked sense of humour, as we involve them in random adult chat a lot.

It has also opened up a lot of conversation starters (be it funny or educational) which I have found invaluable. It gets my children off their technology, out of their rooms and playing games with their parents again. Also, invaluable as this is time I get to have fun with my children again.

I highly recommend this game, especially if you have a very open sense of humour.

Mums – get the tena ready!

This Christmas I Bought this for my whole family for game nights. The adults were all fans of cards against humanity and when the extended family goes camping you always had to wait for the kids to go to bed to play. I saw this and thought let's try it and see if we can all have some fun. We played it after Christmas dinner with kids grandparents and Aunts and Uncles and we all has a good laugh and some great family fun. The nice thing is there are some answers that can have different meanings for different players, sometimes the adults were laughing harder than the kids. That visit home we played a couple times with cousins and friends and everyone had nothing but good things to say about it.

Lots of hilarious options. Some are potty humour if that's a factor, but the name of the game should tip you off on that one.

Easy to learn, fun to play
If, like me, you are the one who has to read and explain the rules of the game to everyone else then this game is a total joy. Anyone of any age can be confidently playing within 30 seconds and will spend the rest of the game rolling round on the floor in stitches laughing. It is also really easy to dip in and out of the game whenever you want. Some cards are for the US rather than the UK market but not too many and it doesn’t spoil the game at all. Most fun and funny game I have ever played.

Hilarious. This game was thoroughly enjoyed by myself and family. My 14 year old was gifted it at Christmas. If you don’t like toilet humour do not bother buying this game. We don’t mind and found it extremely funny. There is one card we’ve come across so far that some may not like referring to a ladies region but as long as your children know there’s a time and a place this is not a problem.

A little bit of toilet humour, a little innuendo and a lot a of fu
This is an ideal family game. No it’s not very mature but if you expected anything else then all I can say is what did you expect from a game called “Kids against maturity”?

There are a few cultural references that are a little US specific but to be honest nothing that anyone with a passing knowledge of television wouldn’t get. Probably the most obscure reference I saw that was US specific was “Sticky Joe” who is a character from the Teen Titans. The most obscure reference I found was to Lake Titicaca but that is jut a matter of global general knowledge rather than culture specific knowledge.

Yes there are some sexual references but they are all in the form of innuendo which like the humour in a pantomime can be read at face value for children while the adults appreciate the innuendo. The worst I found there was “Mr Merkin’s wig”. If that card appears while playing then an eight year old child can regard it just as a silly comment about someone’s wig and if you think the innuendo is offensive then you are not obliged to explain what a merkin is.

All of which should be obvious from the description because it quite explicitly says on the amazon page; “not for overprotective parents”, “contains innuendos” and “please remove any card you don’t approve of”. So again if you buy this and then think it’s innappropriate then … well you were warned, multiple times. All of that said though the language is nothing more than any child will hear in the playground and the innuendo is nothing more than you would hear in a christmas pantomime or some of the better childrens TV shows.

I would so far as to say that this is an ideal game for kids who are just entering secondary school age. Why? because you can use it as a way to encouter the innuendos in a safe and humorous environment where you can explain what they mean. You would do your children a great benefit from doing so because if they are the child in the class who has no idea what a particular sexual innuendo means you can guarantee their peers will make mockl them for it. Just keep the sessions with explanations for your 13 year old separate from the sessions with an 8 year old who you might not want to explain that to just yet.

We played this a few times. The first time we played through it with just two of us to see if there was anything too offensive and the game, while containing a lot of toilet humour, was OK but nothing special. Later sessions we played through with more people and then it does come alive because like all good games the essence lies not in the game itself but the interactions it prompts between the players. That is where this game really wins, because answers can work for different age groups in different ways it’s a great way to get generations to interact.

    Immature hilarity, we love it!
We played this last night (4 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 6) and what a laugh we had!! My eleven year old is clearly not the innocent I thought he was and a lot of the humour went over the head of my 6 year old. If you’re a fairly open minded parent who is not easily offended and up for a bit of fun then you and your family will love this.

It’s a funny game for old and young, as long as you have a sense of humour. It’s well packaged without wastage. All games are expensive these days but considering it’s just a sturdy box and cards, it feels it could be over priced if at full price. However it’s enjoyed by everyone as long as you don’t mind reading words like poo and fart.

So, having read some reviews and actually having a few games of this with my 7, 9 and 12 year old I have to say it’s pretty funny. YES, there are some cards which might seem inappropriate but isn’t that the point of the game!? I think some people are blissfully unaware that most kids over a certain age know alot more than their parents think. Listen, your kid doesn’t have to know the actual meaning of a card to still find them funny and you can laugh along knowing what it really means. For example; turd burglar, dogs red lipstick, neverland ranch, olafs snowballs. You get the idea. Lighten up and let your kids laugh at some slightly inappropriate cards!

This game is fantastic for people who know how to be silly and who understand the point of the game. The point is to choose a card you believe the person reading will find the most hilarious so they will choose your card. It forces you to pay attention to each others style of humor. And yes there are poop jokes and super silly ones just like cards against humanity. yes there are some that are borderline inappropriate... but let's be real....young kids won't understand the bad ones and if they do, it's already too late for them anyway. lol. if you like cards against humanity, you'll love this game with your kids.

    Good fu
A good quality, fun for the whole family game that does not need batteries, assembling or syncing to the device. Simply open the box and enjoy. Great for those long winter nights that are coming. Would make a super Christmas prese

    Great little game this
Great little game this, we have a 5 and 11 year old and they both enjoyed playing. Plenty of fun. A quick game takes minutes but you could keep going as long as it takes.

My children were 7 & 9 when I first bought this game, and they loved it! They also like bringing it to sleepovers and playing with their cousins. It’s a fun game for the adults too.

Excellent game which had my kids howling with laughter.
Depending on your understanding of the difference between English UK and English USA some parents may want to go through and remove one or two cards that have very different meanings here than they do there.

like crazy amounts of poop jokes. We ended up taking a chunk of the cards out until the kids are a bit older, too often we are refusing to explain why the adults are laughing

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe most we’ve laughed out loud in a long time
    This game was hilarious.
Whoever is complaining about this not being a ‘family game’ need to chill out a bit!

Yes, there’s some references to somewhat adult themes, but these went completely over my ten years olds head. They’re not so blatant that she even had a clue what they were supposed to mean.
Kids tv eg spongebob make references like this all the time.

It just makes it funnier when you see that the absolute legendary play was unintentionally made by the 10 year old who didn’t comprehend it lol. Certainly provides plenty of laughs to the teenager, and the adults in the room!
And my 10 year old appreciated the poop jokes!

I think we played this for 3 hours in one sitting

Great too see your kids laugh
Always love playing the adult version but have some younger children so decided to get this. They literally cry from laughing and that’s such a great release from other stresses in life. Now need expansion pack.
