The application range of the KNIPEX PreciStrip 16 is huge: Fine, flexible and solid cables can be stripped quickly and precisely using this insulation stripper. The capacity range extends from 0.08 to 16 mm². Thanks to a fine adjustment, this new tool can automatically strip cables within its large capacity range, even where conventional automatic devices often fail. The KNIPEX PreciStrip 16 insulation stripper can be readily adjusted with a dial for special materials or temperature requirements. Parabolic stripping blades ensure a precise cut. Semi-circular metal holding clamps ensure a perfect grip. The key component of this high-tech insulation stripper are the parabolic stripping blades that first cut the insulation of fine-stranded or solid round cables, then automatically strip it off backwards. The blade pair largely encloses the insulation and is thus suitable for many flexible materials.
A firm grip on all cable types
Semi-circular grooved holding clamps ensure a good grip and hold practically any insulation material securely in place. The KNIPEX PreciStrip 16 insulating stripper also features a cable cutter on top, which reliably cuts cables within a capacity range up to 16 mm². It has an adjustable length stop for accurate repeat work.

Fine adjustment for special insulation materials and variable temperatures
Many automatic insulation strippers fail when it comes to special materials such as very soft insulating materials or when working in extremely hot or cold conditions. To further expand the area of application of the KNIPEX PreciStrip16, it can be flexibly pre-adjusted for such special conditions by means of a dial with tactile detent positions.

zu viel plastik
Bin leider etwas enttuscht, dass die zange sich sehr minderwertig anfhlt(fast nur aus Kunststoff). Selbst bei 6mm2 hat man den Eindruck das einem der Absetzer in der Hand zerbricht. Ich hoffe dass ich mich irre, da ich mit knipex eigentlich gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe

These arrived in very quick time from Germany. I read a lot of reviews online and it was a mixed bag as usual but as i have a lot of other Knipex kit which is very robust and amazing to work with i placed an order for these Knipex 12 52 195 strippers. First impressions is like all there other products, the ergonmics are pretty perfect and the build quality is very good to. I’ve tested the product on some UK mains cables and some cat6 cables and it performs perfectly. I know they are not cheap but going on past purchases where i’ve bought cheap products, soon after i’ve had to buy a more expensive product as the cheap one has broken or not up to the job. If you can afford these i would highly recommend them – 4 star i would give 5 star but for the cost.
The product is a great wire stripper, just read the reviews on YouTube. great first impression and with a simple adjustment to the tension will strip many conductor sizes, still to put it though it's paces with PTFE but have high hopes. Very pleased with the purchase even at the price, which was competitive from this seller.

FUNCIONA A LA PERFECCION
Lo acabo de sacar del blister y creo que despus de algunos comentarios negativos que he ledo acerca de este pelacables debo decir lo siguiente despus de estar probndolo ahora mismo en mi taller con diferentes gruesos de cables (OJO,CABLES REDONDOS NO PLANOS,PARA PLANOS EXISTE OTRA REFERENCIA DE KNIPEX DONDE CLARAMENTE ESPECIFICA PARA CABLES PLANOS) y debo decir que no se de donde se sacan esos comentarios de que no pela pela defectuosamente.
Realizo el cableado de maquinaria industrial y aunque debo decir que tena mis reticencias respecto a este pelacables (aunque ya tenia otra referencia 12 74 180 para pelar cables a partir de 4 mm de diametro hasta 7,5 mm que funciona de cine) debido a los comentarios negativos que haba ledo me arriesgu y lo pedi ,si no funcionaba lo devolva y punto.
La estructura de la herramienta es de un polimero de plstico ,leo comentarios de que es “plsticucho” y que debera de ser de acero,SEORES CAMBIEN EL CHIP QUE LOS POLMEROS TIENEN UNA MUY ALTA RESISTENCIA Y ADEMAS PESAN 2/3 MENOS QUE EL ACERO,QUE ESTAMOS EN EL SIGLO XXI),polimero de altsima calidad (mis cajas de herramientas de la marca milwaukee son de polmeros y resisten el trato duro sin ningn problema),la parte superior del mango es de goma anti deslizante.
Lleva una rueda para poder modificar el apriete del cable antes de que lo corte. Recomiendo que lo pongis casi al tope donde se encuentra el signo +.
He probado cables de 0,5 mm de cable coaxial sin ningn problema (eso si OJO pela de uno en uno ,no acepta varios cables juntos ),cable de 1,5 mm (siempre hablo de dimetro),de 2,5 mm clsicos elctricos sin ningn problema.
Tiene una pieza roja para fijar un tope de longitud de pelado,funciona perfectamente.
Por que esta referencia no pela cables planos? Porque la pieza mordaza tiene una forma curva para adaptarse al cable redondo (insisto ver en knipex.com la referencia de esta herramienta para SLO cables planos).
Ventajas sobre el pelacables que yo tenia hasta ahora ,que este pela cualquier dimetro sin tener que buscar el agujero ni tener que regular nada. Adems en la parte superior lleva una cuchilla corta cable que va de cine,que bien corta,ya no tienes que andar con el alicate dando vueltas para cortar los cables y luego pelarlos.
No pesa nada al ser de polmero. OJO al mezclarlo en la caja con las dems herramientas de hierro o acero ya que con los golpes si que se podra daar.
Las cuchillas se pueden cambiar comprando el repuesto acorde. Mucho tienes que pelar creo yo para tener que cambiarlas,aunque lleva una palanaca en el mango que las quitas y las pones en un minuto.
Muy contento con la compra y espero que dure. Tiene algo malo? Si creo que podra ser un poco mas barato.
