Its great if you go into it with an open mind and wanting to explore the galaxy. You will like it if you like the newer lego games e.g. incredibles.
LEGO & Star Wars - What's not to like?! My second PS5 game I’ve added to my collection since being lucky enough to get a PS5 console! If you love LEGO and Star Wars, this is the game for you! You get to play through iconic movie scenes with a little LEGO twist and once you’ve completed that, there are tons of other stuff to explore and puzzles to complete.
For me, it’s like the modern equivalent of playing Super Star Wars games on the SNES.
Best yet! Used to love playing Lego Star Wars titles years ago. This got me nostalgic when it was announced last year. Worth the wait! Looks great on PS5 4k and plays amazing. Still has the wit and charm from Lego. All iconic Star Wars stories and characters included. The missions are short, but well worth revisiting to collect more items. The open world fits well. Well done Lego Star Wars.
Massive Great value game, there’s hours and hours if play. Funny cut scenes and detailed environments. Only criticism, sometimes not obvious what needs to be done. In my opinion, I still live the original Lego games, but honestly, really is s game for all ages. Well worth adding to any collecty, PS4 or 5.
Absolutely superb, so much detail This is really fantastic, so many little hidden references it’s clear a huge amount of work has gone into this game. Polished, slick and just the right difficulty curve.
Recaptures the magic of The Complete Saga Positives:
– Graphics are incredible with brilliant detail in the 15+ planets you can explore at any point. This emphasised by the use of dynamic lighting, Mustafar a clear example.
– Music is fantastic and adds to the worlds and levels alongside their film counterparts. Makes every world feel different.
– New combat system is far more complex than previous Lego games, allowing unique combinations for most characters. This feels like a true modern game, rather than a button mash that previous games would adopt.
– Size of game; lots of popular characters, most with dialogue and one-on-one interactions that keep you occupied. Would not recommend ‘mumble mode’ and maintain the dialogue – very funny.
– Classic Lego game comedy is still at the heart of the core game
Negatives
– Some voice acting isn’t fantastic; Ben Solo/Kylo Ren a standout for not being close to Adam Driver’s iteration.
– Some bugs that plague the game; character freezes during Boss Battles, some graphical errors which force
– Some levels (especially in the Sequels catalogue) feel weaker than the prequels/originals
An opinion I’ve heard constantly is that this game feels shorter than the older versions of Lego Star Wars – I disagree. Simply put, this game is ultimately for those 12 and under, and the audience playing is well above the target audience planned for. Nostalgia has blinded many into thinking that this should have been a 50-60hr story, when this was never the case. Play it for what it is – a hugely fun kids game with plenty of quality and collectables! Ultimately this is the best Lego Game that has ever been produced and a huge step up in quality!
This is how you get the DLC content! It’s nice that you get some DLC content with this game, but it is soooo hard to find. It doesn’t appear anywhere in the PlayStation Store. What you have to do is the following:
1) Redeem codes in the normal way
2) Start the game and go to ‘Add ons’
3) The ‘Classic Character Pack’ won’t be listed as available, but if you go to the downloads (see photo), there it is!
So, so painful to find. Spent an hour with Sony support and they couldn’t find it either!
Thanks Amazo Preordered in March 2021 and got my copy 4 days before release date! Have played episode I & II so far – the game is fantastic. Many reports of bugs and glitches but only one has affected me so far on PS5 and a ‘quit to menu’ sorted it.
I got standard edition with Amazon’s Classic Pack but seemed to receive the full DLC packs including Mandolorian S1. Not sure if this is intended but very happy. I’ll check for the Classic’s when I work out who’s included.
All in all another great preorder from Amazon! Early copy and more DLC than expected due to their exclusives. 5 stars.

Great game I’m 46 love it my 16 year old loves it and the 6 year old loves it just great game.
