I bought this for my grandson for Christmas, he loves it and so do I! It’s well made and safe.
Once assembled it's the Best Toy Ever!
There is a bit more building to this than first thought! For the most part, assembly is fairly easy and straight forward.
You will NEED a HAMMER and hammering the knobs on to the wheel rods takes a few sturdy hammer falls (small feeble female). Hammering the key/ignition into place should be done first, not last as there is not enough space to shove a swinging hammer onto the tool in order to bash the key/ignition cylinder through the pre cut smaller diameter hole without injury!
Take note of the screw sizes supplied, BIN them and REPLACE. The screws supplied are as soft as tinfoil, using hand screwdriver will result is the head being obliterated before its half way, using a powered screwdriver results in the same and don’t even think about trying to hammer the last half home. I suggest pre drilling a hole where the screws are to go.
Once assembled kids will love it!

2 Yr old loves this so much, when we gave him a piece of birthday cake, he picked up his plate and went and sat in the car. It seems to be his favourite place to watch TV from and he uses the seat to play with his other toys. It was reasonably easy to assemble although the black and white pics look as though they were intended to be colour so occasionally it’s not very clear, but otherwise I managed it pretty easily.

Also this is very IMPORTANT: you must make sure you pay attention to the instructions carefully EACH STEP of the way. Otherwise you will regret having to dissemble any part of it if you make a mistake.
In our case, we realised we placed the front wheels on the wrong way around and getting it off (to swap over) was a nightmare. If you ever get into this predicament I suggest spraying a little oil onto the nut then use a wrench to jig it out.
In the end, there were bits of the car that was cosmetically damage, but we didn’t pay full price for it so that kind of makes us feel slightly less infuriated.
Overall, once built, the cosy coupe is a great outdoor toy and I’m sure all kids love this. I wish I had bought one when my little one was a lot younger as I didn’t realise it came with a removable foot plate.

Make sure you have spare screws as some are not suitable for intended purpose

Great product and my son loves it. Wasn’t expecting to have to use a drill for assembly, wasnt a problem just a surprise. Think it should be highlighted.
Great dino design but awful to build!
I love the design of this car as my 2 year old son is dinosaur man and my son absolutely loves it too, but it was an absolute b#####d to build and still has parts that are a bit loose and rattle even though they are done up as tight as they can go. If you have a good few hours spare and can understand instructions that dont flow and make no sense then you will be find. If your anything like us, I would not buy another one of these cars or find somewhere you can purchase it fully assembled!!

Really sturdy and good value for money, quite easy to assemble for the average DIY enthusiast but don’t think it’s going to be a quick 10 minutes because there’s quite a lot to do!

Hours of fu
This definitely needs 2 people to assemble and minimum 1hr assembly time. The Dino car was a big hit with my 2yr old, who enjoys using it, both with and without the the foot base. Only problem we’ve had is when removing the foot base, the supporting pegs keep coming out and sometimes come loose and fall out, when in use.

This product it great. We didn’t have an easy time putting it together, it’s very fiddly and takes a long time. I’m glad I knew this before tho! We had a wrong part in ours and having to deal with the missing parts department for little tikes wasn’t great. I emailed and got a response then heard nothing to emailed again and got a rude reply and phone call! Overall fantastic product but not good customer service!

Absolutely love this car! My 8 month old son adores it too. We have literally walked miles in it! Talk about pushing it to its limits. He sits well with a cushion and blankets. He enjoys steering and pressing the little horn. An excellent product!

Lovely little car but missing “all” the transfers ie eyes, mouth and little tikes which mean it is an incomplete purchase and the child is disappointed.
Buy this if you have a degree in engineering/hieroglyphics, or need an excuse for a divorce.
Bought the dino-coupe with some vouchers for the smallest hobgoblins first birthday. Took an hour and a half to build, a lot of head scratching/cursing, bruised fingers, and a complete loss of dignity.
For those of you planning to buy this – it’s definitely a 2 man build, you *will* need an electric drill, and the spikes need to go on the roof before assembly (not once you’ve already built it and found the separate instruction leaflet half way through telling you to do exactly that…).

One very happy 2 year old, smiles all round. Went together fine. Re construction, my advice is to plan each stage and follow the large instruction leaflet; it has pictorial guides throughout. Gather the bits and lay them out for each section, there are a few spares left over (which is good of the co). You will need a bit of brute force to get the longer struts in and manipulation, but it didn’t take long, use a powered screw driver; you need to pilot the holes and we had NO issues with screws shearing off. Also robust hammer to knock on the top hats (caps that secure the wheels on the rods). Took us around an hour including decals. All it needs is planning and patience!

Awesome car, my 2 year old loves it. It doen’t have pedals but moves by pushing your feet. The tray at the bottom is useful for lifting their feet up but is a bit of a faff putting it in. Big enough for my 6 year old to fit in but best for 2 – 4yrs really. Was straight forward to put together by me and my husband but did take a while as others have said. But results in a sturdy fun little car.

Great fun 1-6years!
Fantastic toy! Good fun indoor and out! Solid bottom means little once can role play whilst say in (or eat dinner in our case) and then removable bottom for more interactive fun once kids grow. I bought this for my 1year old and still giving lots of fun 2years on.
Considerable construction required so don’t leave it to the last minute, definitely a night before job! Some tricky bits to build to, I had to enlist Super Grandad!

Let me start by saying that although this is time consuming to make (took me 1.5 hours) it’s not actually all that hard if you go slow and watch the YouTube tutorial as you go.

Had to be hidden at his party as every child wanted a go
It is very good value and much loved by my Grandson. However, do buy well in advance as it takes some putting together. Be especially careful to get the bushes, washers and press-on wheel retainers in the right sequence; you will only get one shot at this. You will need a drill to make holes for the roof pillars and fitting them is a job for two people. Set aside a good couple of hours, work out the sequences and positioning of parts in advance and the successful result will delight your toddler.
My son has loved this. It was delivered in good time as expected and perfect size for my 2 year and I’d be fairly confident it’ll get some use for a few years as my 4 year old also can fit inside (snugly). These are certainly more compact in size then the older regular size I’m accustomed to, but that’s probably why it’s called a “cosy coupe” I’d imagine. I’ve a happy boy anyways and it didn’t take my husband too long to put together luckily. Separately you can use personalised licence plates which I loved! Seems a bit more special as a gift and plus also handy for when a bigger brother is trying a lot to take over his little bros new toy …. “well it’s got his name on it remember” lol. It’s worked for us anyway 🙂

Quite easy to put together as this was the 3rd 1 I’ve done for my son years back and my 2 grandsons. Well packaged and arrived quicker than expected.. its no different to the other cars just the spikes and stickers that are different. Little tikes things are known to be quite strong and this is no different.

It is a very sturdy construction and easy for him to manoeuvre. Then ignition key and hooter are fun additions. We left the floor out so that he can move it with his feet. An excellent toy which will give lots of play value.

As has been said in earlier reviews the assembly is not a five minute job. It needs to be undertaken by one familiar with DIY tools. The requirement for a drill is only to make pilot holes for self tapping screws and I understand that due to the imprecise nature of the build it would be impossible for the manufacturer to accurately pre-drill them. I think a bradawl could substitute for the drill.
It was given as a Christmas gift to out 22 month old grandson who loved it. He is too young to propel it himself like Fred Flinstone so we put the optional floor panel in and pushed him around all Christmas. Great toy.
