You need to charge before use and we didn’t knew. It takes too much to full charge. But is amazing, I highly recommend and my kiddos enjoyed so much!

Very easy and simple to do. Make sure you charge it for 60-90 minutes before use and that it is on create mode. My daughter’s loved putting in the ingredients.
This toy is definitely over priced. But my 6 and 3 year olds both love it! Great for girls and boys. With hocus pocus 2 out, my kids are obsessed with their cauldrons and making spells.

So follow the instructions and bam a mist of smoke appears and then this thing appears in the pot. And you can do it again and again as they have refils available or you can just do it with water. Anyway we did it 3 times the firat day coz we was having fun with it. You get a box aswell so you can put your own bits in it and do the spell to reveal your box instead of the fluffy toy thing. Anyway give it ago.
So expensive only to be used once and that’s the fun all over. Unless you pay 25 for refill its of no use after the the pixie is out. Would not recommend
If you end up with a soaking wet Mixie, give it a good shake and then use a hair dryer set on low; or just let it air dry overnight. Ours survived several soakings when the bowl didn’t flip all the way over.
A couple things before you get started!
1. This toy needs to be charged 60-90 minutes BEFORE YOU USE IT! with the charger it comes in!
We only charged it for an hour and it worked perfectly fine! BEFORE YOU USE IT SWITCH TO (create mist mode) if you want the mist of course.
2. This toy will not start until you add the first potion (water) so NO it is not broken! Even if you tap it, unplug it, and switch it to create mist mode IT WILL NOT MAKE ANY NOISE. CHARGE IT FIRST, THEN ADD THE 1ST POTION it will work!
Have ALL THE POTIONS READY before you use it!
Line them up 1 through 7 and have them open ready to go. The STEPS ARE FAST!
3. This toy in (create mist mode) has 7 cycles/steps
Once you add the 1st potion MIX first! the toy should turn a little green light and signal you to “TAP TAP TAP” once you “TAP TAP TAP” it will make a celebration sound! THAT CELEBRATION SOUND MEANS GO TO THE NEXT STEP. You will continue this until you get to step 7.
4. On your last step 7 ( step 7 is a note! Write the name you want for your Mixie before getting to this step) once you MIX and “TAP TAP TAP” on the last step you will stop and put the wand down thats when the mist should begin.
5. If you Followed all steps correctly BOOM!! You should get a cute fuzzy mixie!
The Mixie should make noises once you twist and take it out after the mist. Put the wand on her forehead and it will activate.
I have searched for a while now for one of these at a reasonable price. I was more than pleased with my order and I am so excited to give it to my niece for her birthday! I was super impressed by the packaging, it came in three boxes to ensure it got to me safely!

It is expensive because you can only use all the potion bits once as they all dissolve. However, the initial spell and reveal is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen from a kids toy! And that alone was worth the money! The kid loved it 😀
Smoke and sound effects are great.
This made such a great Christmas present for my daughter.
Although some of it was a little repetitive it kept to adults and a child in suspense until the end. We have played so much with this and bought many add ons for it as well. Fantastic!
My neice absolutely loved this and demanded to re do it about 15 times till the battery died (should note it was fully charged before hand BUT the magic mist was still going strong!)
It was ok. Instructions aren’t great but it did work my 7 year old was very happy so that’s all that matters. Needs to be cheaper for what you actually get. But I guess worth the smile on the kids face
Read some reviews before purchasing and was a bit skeptical but my daughter had saved up money to get one so we went ahead.
Did as a previous reviewer said and charged it straight away before starting it. Easy instructions, great step-by-step fun, the mist had a fragrance but wasn’t terrible and no fire alarms went off. Mixie popped out as it should and I had one very happy and excited 7 year old! Cleaned the cauldron out easily too so can reuse it again. Great fun!
My daughter aged 9 was over the moon with this as she loves magic and potions and so on. Would be suitable for much younger children too. Magical!!

We got this because our daughter loves making “potions” and adorable stuffed animals.
It has two big parts: The Cauldron and the Mixie.
Cauldron:
This is cute and fun to do, but requires close supervision because there’s not much protection for the delicate parts from water and the actual toy itself seems pretty delicate. Hopefully future versions of the cauldron will be a bit more rugged. I don’t see this surviving very long.
Mixie:
This is the cutest little thing ever. The different modes are fun and all of us get a kick out of Spell Mode. Also it will at some point fart and then giggle. It’s hysterical every time. I am worried the wings aren’t going to survive too much attention. I love that the arms and legs are bendable.
This is why it got 4 stars instead of 5- A cauldron that’s meant to have water poured in to it should be able to survive oversplash so this part is 3/5 but the Mixie itself is 5/5.
Great idea however the solution leaked all over the teddy in the bottom of the cauldron wouldn’t say was worth the money paid

My daughter loved the spells and smoke. Great you can buy refill potions.
For the price, it was not worth the money however, Granddaughter loved it and the animal it contained.
We all had fun Christmas Day with this! It’s great that it can be reused (without the little toy) to make potions, it did leak bright pink water at the end but it didn’t ruin our fun!
We gathered around the table telling our 5 year old what to do it was just like real magic with the lights off at twilight make sure it’s switched to most after charging the cauldron for real atmosphere the mist had no smell certainly it was nothing to worry about.
The small toy is very clever there is a lot of reading but worth it for the fun d9nt lose the wand .

secondly, absolutely adorable!! I may be an adult but that doesn’t mean i’m too old for toys, especially not ones that bring happiness to my inner child, this is exactly what 6 year old me would’ve loved to have. i like many kids made potions consisting of anything i could find, it including actual ‘ingredients’ for a potion that made mist would’ve blown my little brain
if you’re sensitive to strong smells i won’t say don’t buy but i do think your should avoid making the ‘potion’ when it starts creating mist there’s a really strong smell, i also suggest having a window open or doing it outside as a lot of mist comes out!! my whole house was filled with it
also you don’t have to charge it when you first get it!! i didn’t realise that and wasted a precious 5 hours wondering why it wasn’t charging when i could’ve been playing with it instead
the mixie has a button on its back to turn it on and off so they wont be like furbies who turn on at random and scare the crap out of you or your child at night.
the refills/extra potion packs include a wishing spell and luck spell so they are different!
if you’re into witchcraft this could be a fun thing to buy as both a toy and/or a tool!!

Definitely worth the money.
Brought for Christmas this item is fascinating with its smokey mist pouring out. However the refills are 10 for a couple of extra solutions. My wife says the refills give about 60 goes so its not too bad.
These are a ton of fun, my 5 year old is in absolute heaven, but don’t pay more than $15 for one anything else is a rip off. I waited for it to go on sale
Quite expensive but you do get a real thrill of revealing the mixie quite magically!
The mist fluid is a pretty standard item you’ll find in most commercial fog machines (although this one is vegetable based). When used CORRECTLY there is no smell and the mist is just that, MIST. It isn’t smoke and therefore DOES NOT set off amoke alarms. There are very clear warnings that using the WRONG SIDE (i.e. by not resetting the inside of the cauldron) you may indeed cause problems, but that’s because you’re literally pouring water into a speaker!! This is probably the best value ‘reveal’ toy I have ever purchased, and has kept my 9yo and her friends entertained for days now.
1.You can put your Mixie plushie back into the compartment,
2. You can use the gem case supplied to make other toys and belongings ‘appear’.
You can use it with just water by switching the ‘spell’ mode (it won’t flip over or produce mist)
4. You can buy spell packs and mist refills (a spell is a single use, 2 in the refill box) and mist refills are about 5 ‘creation’ spells (where the bottom flips and you can make something appear).
5. AND you can play with the plush separately.
The cauldron comes loaded with the mist fluid, plus an extra bottle, and refill packs have another bottle inside. In terms of reuse value this toy is fantastic, and the refills are reasonably priced. Brilliant!
My daughter wanted this and to say it’s impressive is an understatement they have played with it all day every day since receiving it, it takes a while to charge but apart from that it’s amazing when they make their toy it mists and steams and is so interactive a must have for any little witch
Bought this for my 5 year old daughter and she loved it. I didn’t really know what to expect but it was fab! We put all the different ingredients in, waved and tapped the wand, said the magic words. It lit up when it was meant to, made the music and noises when it was meant to, loads of smoke came out of it and the magic mixie arrived by magic it was brilliant. Firstly follow instructions
! Really, follow the steps and charge for an hour before use too. I can’t emphasise this enough. Our granddaughter was able to follow each step easily, she was so excited, when the mixie popped up at the end she did get a bit of a shock but loved it. The whole process went as it should do and as claimed. Mixie itself is cute, slightly annoying a Furby kind of way. We experienced no dye or leakage. From other reviews, whether verified purchase or not many have claimed it to be a one trick pony, well not in our case, I suppose it depends on the child. Granddaughter is having a lot of fun with this, she’s done as I thought she would and cleverly found items that can be hidden in the compartment where the mixie goes and revealed them (house keys, notes etc). She’s used her imagination to create her own spells adding different items to the pot, it really depends on your child’s imagination if this is a one trick pony, for us it’s not a throw away item. And of course you’ve got the mixie itself, it interacts with the wand and is possible. The option is there to purchase more refills, not necessarily needed as it can be played with with out them. Really pleased with it
Original review:I can’t really comment on if this toy works as we’ve popped it away for the December holidays ( you know what I mean) but I’ve seen a few YouTube videos on it to know how it works and that our magic loving granddaughter will love it and use it again and again, unlike other suprise or animatronic toys that end up at the bottom of the toy box you can use this again and again and extra pack is also available which we easily bought for 9.99. But I believe you can use it again and again without the magic mist packs, it would just be a surprise reveal, through a trap door compartment I guess, leading to the ability to magic up other small items that would fit in, again only a guess I’ve we’ve not used it yet. Do remember to charge it with the cable provided for an hour before use. I don’t normally buy into the hype of the hottest toy of the year, but I believe this has quite a lot of play value, and when your young a little bit of magic is a wonderful thing.
