On a dcouvert ce jeux pendant un sjour dans le Prigord et on est devenu fan de ce clbre jeux. Mes critres : un coffret avec poigne car le jeu est lourd, des pices assez grandes pour la solide construction des murs, la lisibilit et un aspect jolie avec rangement pratique. Toutes ces souhaits sont accomplis. Une suggestion d’amlioration : fournir le mode d’emploi en plusieurs langues.
The presentation and quality are excelle
This is a beautiful set to own. It arrived quickly, the packaging is lovely and the quality excellent. It is a pleasure to have it . I did buy an extra book which was delivered in the same box with the set to help learn to play as the rules in the set set are charming but I think I will need more help!

What a beautiful set for Mah Jong
This was a birthday gift for a very special lady, it was beautifully packed and presented. The set itself comes in a sturdy hinged box fitted with latches. The tiles are a good size and the markings are very clear, the weight of the set feels like a quality item.
Would I buy another one? this one will last forever so no, however I will definitely buy again from Jacques.

Good quality mahjong set. Tiles feel nice and easy to read although a little more difference in colours for the three main suits would be beneficial. Very well packaged and fast delivery.
First opinion.
The mahjong set looks as good as the literature. It arrived on time and was well packed. Now ready to start playing mahjong when I will be able to give a better opinion.
After playing with the set we found the racks not fit for purpose. The racks need to be able to store tiles on both sides (ledges) and were found not long enough when starting. The winds discs should be bigger to make playing easier.

I am delighted with this set , it arrived promptly and beautifully packaged. It was almost a shame that I hadn’t bought it as a gift for someone as the packaging needed to be shared.
The quality of the pieces are beautiful and I feel proud to know that it was made by a family that has such a history .
One small disappointment is that the Wind Markers are not easy to define which relates to which wind . The playing tiles however are all great .

Good quality. But it’s a small size compared with the majiang in China. Refunded.

Bought this a couple years ago, but the case hasn’t been carried a lot during the time. The faux leather handle looked always quite thin, and a few days ago it snapped, from just normal carrying. Was able to replace with a plastic handle we had laying around, but I’m not sure how long the loops will hold.
Western style Mahjong set in a nice faux leather case and aesthetic packaging. The tiles have a good hand feel to them, and are nicely engraved. You have everything you need to play, even a short rulebook, which is a bit archaic, but it just adds to the feel.
The wind indicators are separate discs, a holding cylinder would be a useful addition, to keep them in one place. Their paint-job has a bit of a bleed over, but you can see that on the product photos, and it gives them a bit of a handcrafted feel.
All in all a very good looking set.

jeu de mahjong dans sa boite simili cuir ou malette. toutes les tuiles sont prsents dans quatre tiroirs. les points sont dans un autre. il y a quatre reglettes permettant de poser les tuiles une fois distribues. les des sont petits, et mal finis. les peintures sont en dcalages avec les gravures. ce qui ne semble pas le cas pour les tuiles.
Weii worth the price
Haven’t used the set yet, but it looks beautiful, and very well presented in its case.
Unfortunately in our set which was a gift at Christmas there is an extra “6 of circles” and only three “7 of circles”.
Such a pity as otherwise the set is excellent. The tile holders are not much use though ok for lining up the wall.
Manufacturer very helpful and will post replacement piece free of charge.
Exceeded expectations
The Royal Mail cocking up the delivery was the only disappointment! The product was far better than expected, exceeded all expectations and was beautifully packaged – in fact it was almost a shame to unwrap it!!! What a joy to receive such a well presented item. Good value and would def recommend.

Habe das Spiel als Kind schon mit meinen Eltern gespielt und suchte eins, das dem ihren hnelt. Ich bin mit diesem Spiel insofern zufrieden, dass man die verschiedenen Bilder auch als Europer ganz gut auseinander halten kann, was mir bei anderen Spielen, die vielleicht originaler sind, schwerer fiel. Der Koffer ist schn, ich finde das Spiel fr den Preis ganz prima, zwei kleine Negativpunkte: Die Bnkchen finde ich wenig hilfreich, da nicht gekippt, sondern im rechten Winkel gefertigt. Und der “weisse Drache” in der Bedienungsanleitung sieht aus wie ein Blankostein… Erscheint mir wie ein Druckfehler…alles in allem ist es schn und empfehlenswert, wenn man nicht Unsummen ausgeben will.
Great customer care
This set it of a perfect size and the tiles have a really nice feel to them. Unfortunately I got a slightly faulty set delivered, some of the tiles were badly painted. As soon as i conveyed this to London Jacues they promptly offered to replace and they now have a very happy customer who would not hesitate to recommend this set or their customer service.

Very pleased with my mah jongg from Jaques. Beautiful packaging and excellent quality of the set was very pleasing. I just need to figure out how to play now. I would totally recommend this company and the product.
Beautiful traditional se
The set was beautifully presented in a lovely case which should last a long time. The pieces are white throughout with traditional but very clearly printed designs. This will be treasured by our grandchildren and compares well with a traditional bone and bamboo set that we are fortunate enough to possess. It also contains very clear instructions, so we may start to play with the correct rules after only 50 years or so! It is very good value for such a quality product.

Great Mah Jong set – and arrives in a beautiful briefcase. The actual tiles look and feel great and the set has everything you need to get started – including tile holders. Unlike other versions I have come across the rules are well written and easy to follow. We are really pleased with this purchase.

This is a beautifully made, presented and packaged Mahjong set! It would make a perfect gift, but I bought it for myself. I have just started to play mahjong and took it to my group today, it was much admired and caused ‘Mahjong set envy. It was a delight to play with and will be treasured for many years and hopefully passed on to my children.

I thought they were standard size but they are actually slightly smaller – not mini but smaller than regular size – the measurments are stated, my bad not to check. But on the other hand it’s easy to carry to friend’s place since it’s small. And they look really nice, ivory colour tiles and leather box. I ordered for express delivery and took just two days to arrive.

I love your after-sales service – especially the Cherries on the top. The packaging was beautifully presented – a carry case inside a box with a big ribbon and bow – so thoughtful. I’ve been playing Mah Jongg for about 2 months in a group and bought this for my personal use – am delighted with it – such value for money. Beautifully presented and seems to be a quality product. I think it was good value and look forward to playing with the set. I have joined a Mahjong group and have played with varying quality bricks. I think it makes the game far more enjoyable to have better quality bricks rather than some of the cheaper versions.

I have been looking for a replacement for my Mah Jongg set for some and this set is excellent. There are 4 trays which makes it easier to pack and the tile faces themselves are beautifully clear. I have not played with them yet but I built a mini wall and the tiles do not appear to be as slippery as my other set. There are numbers printed on the tiles so it is easy to identify the “characters”. The packing was excellent. I was delighted with it. I was happy to pay 57.00 for it but I would have been less keen at 70.00+ as I already have a working set.

Die Verarbeitung der Stnder und des Koffers knnte etwas besser sein, ist aber in Ordnung. Leider etwas wenig Stbchen fr die Punkte dabei. Wegen dieser beiden Punkte einen Punkt Abzug, aber ansonsten trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen. Die Steine sind schn schwer sehen gut aus.

This set is impressive. It has a quality about it that surprised us – nicely. The tiles are well finished and presented, the game instruction booklet is easy to follow. We have now had many hours of fun playing Mah Jongg with a couple of friends. It gets quite competitive at times, it also causes a lot of frustration seeing the tile you want go down and you can’t pick it up. Great fun and good quality.
