The DJR183Z is powered by 18V Li-ion batteries to deliver up to 3,000 spm, with two switch levers with variable speed control. Trigger switch on the tool handle and paddle switch on the tool body to make operation easier at any grip position for versatile applications by using either trigger.
The Reciprocating Saw has a tool-less blade clamp for reciprocating blade, for a faster installation and removal. Simply turn to remove or install the blade.

Outil léger et maniable, grande précision des découpes, excellent rapport qualité-prix
Comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos ou j’ai pris la machine en main, il s’agit d’une petite scie d’appoint.
Sa principale qualit est sa maniabilit due son faible encombrement et son faible poids.
Elle permet de faire des dcoupes de prcision et dans toutes les positions.
Il s’agit d’un outil lger, ce qui rend son utilisation trs agrable.
Son gros plus est d’avoir deux gchettes, une gchette conventionnelle pour l’utiliser deux mains pour des travaux ncessitant de forcer et une autre gchette sous le corps de l’appareil qui permet de la manier une main pour des dcoupes lgres main leve.
Certes elle n’est pas trs puissante mais sa faible puissance est largement compense par sa maniabilit.
Il s’agit d’un outil trs facile utiliser et qui devient vite indispensable pour tous les petits travaux de coupe.
Idale pour le travail du placo.

Erstaunlich präzise
Vorausgesetzt, man hat ein gutes Sgeblatt, kann die Reziposge voll berzeugen. Natrlich vibriert sie, natrlich muss man sich konzentrieren, wenn man solch ein Werkzeug bedient.
Doch, wenn man den Dreh raus hat, kann man auch recht przise Schnitte setzen.
Die Auswahl an Blttern ist gro, nach einigen Versuchen landete ich bei einem schweizer Hersteller, dessen Produkte zwar teuer sind, dafr aber auch herrlich scharf.
Damit gelingen wirklich saubere Schnitte auch in weichem Holz.

Per essere il pi piccolo della serie DJR (tutti gli altri passano abbondantemente i 3kg) ha una potenza soddisfacente.
Utilizzo batterie da 4Ah di altri miei attrezzi e trovo l’autonomia ottima. Trovo invece perfettibile l’ergonomia, anche se il doppio sistema di impugnatura aiuta…da parte mia ho bloccato i due tastini di sicurezza per facilitare l’utilizzo.

Super Gert, Preis-Leistungsverhltnis gut aber leider nicht ganz flexibel einsetzbar. Wer damit auch Stichsgearbeiten durchfhren mchte, sollte lieber eine Stichsge kaufen. Denn fehlende Kerbung am auf Lager macht eine Linienfhrung unntig schwer. Sonst funktioniert alles gut und auch die Kombi zwischen Metall- und Holzsge ist sehr praktisch.

Typisch Makita
Ich nutze die Sge vor allem fr Holzarbeiten in Baumkronen (Platane), um dort in ungnstigen Positionen ste herauszunehmen. Auf Grund der zwei Griffe und zwei Bettigungsschalter lsst sich die Sge ideal einsetzen.
Sicherlich gibt es grere und strkere Sgen von Makita oder anderen Herstellern, hat man jedoch schon Komponenten aus dem 18V System ist diese Sge eine perfekte Ergnzung.

Leider viel schlechter als erwarte
Leider sehr enttuscht das Gert schneidet zwar aber Pendelhub wre sinnvoll gewesen es dauert eine gefhlte Ewigkeit bimann durch ein Brett durchkommt.
Ehrlichgesagt ich gesagt muss ich zugeben dass das leider das schlechteste Makita Gert ist dass ich habe behalte sie trotzdem weil es fr Mini kleine Arbeiten okay ist muss allerdings auch zugeben dass ich nicht und zwar berhaupt nicht zufrieden bin mit diesem Gert schade Makita wie oben schon geschrieben wre der Pendelhub eine ideale Ergnzung fr dieses kleine Maschinche

Scie sabre de trs bonne facture. Achete pour l’lagage elle convient parfaitement cet usage. Sa “double gchette” apporte une ergonomie innovante autorisant l’utilisation d’une seule main.
Enfin, une fois associ avec des lames spciales “bois vert” il est possible de couper de trs grosses branches

Hat genau meine Erwartungen erfllt. Habe Vollholz Balken 80100 damit gesgt. Die Sge wurde leicht warm, hat aber 6 Stck in Folge durchgesgt.

Bonjour; Scie-sabre lgre (moins de deux kgs) pour travaux assez lgers mais difficiles (p.ex. quand la securit est compromise {travail sur une chelle,…}).
_Dcoupe dans des panneaux de coffrage de 22mm sans grande difficult, la cl Allen pour le rglage du sabot (hauteur de lame utilise) se loge dans le corps prs de la batterie, parfait.
_(D)Montage de lame sans outils (scurit: tjrs enlever la batterie).
_Concernant le sabot: pour prserver la lame, abaissez le fond afin d’user d’abord l’extrmit de la dite-lame (sauf en cas de coupe de tuyaux..)

Tolles Gert. Habe 1 Stunde lang Bsche und Bume ausgestet. Geht prima und unsere Batterie (5er) reichte vllig problemlos. Die Bedienung ber Griff und Sicherungsschalter ist umstndlich, aber es gibt noch einen Zusatzschalter am Gehuse, den man problemlos mit der Hand umfassen kann und das Gert gut in der Hand hat. Etwas negativ ist, dass man deine Inputschrauben der Sgeblattaufnahme fters nachziehen muss.

Genaue Schnitte, liegt gut in der Hand
Die Sge liegt gut in der Hand. Perfekt um genaue Schnitte zu machen. Wenn man schnell sgen will, sollte man ein anderes Modell nehmen. Fr meine Zwecke ( Arbeitsplatte , Pkw Blech schneiden) bestens geeignet.
Aufgrund des kurzen Hubs speziell fr Metall-, Blech- und Kunststoffarbeiten bis zu einem Durchmesser von max. 3-5 cm geeigneter – insbesondere fr Metallrohre, z. B. gut fr Klempnerarbeiten. Fr Holzarbeiten wrde ich eher eine Sge mit einem lngeren Hub empfehlen.

Bought to help cut through some tough hedge stems and small tree branches which are too far away from house for mains power. I already have some other Makita tools using same battery so that worked fine. It’s light and easy to use but it’s not the most powerful thing in the world. Even with the correct “green wood” blades it was much tougher than I thought. branch diameters about 20-35mm and still killed 2 batteries in less than an hour. Probably great for cutting plasterboard holes and the like but it only JUST did what I wanted it to.

Hat ordentlich Kraft. Ich nutze das Gert fr die Gartenarbeit um unter anderem auch ste zu schneiden. Aber auch im werstatteinsatz macht sich das Gert ordentlich.

This is the smaller version of the saw so I would recommend it for smaller jobs but if you are thinking of cutting a bigger pipes I would go for the bigger one although it is very handy tool and easy to fit in the toolbox , And I use it all the time.

Deshalb hab ich mir dieses ‘Spielzeug’ gekauft, und bin zufrieden, die Handhabung fllt mir deutlich leichter als mit den ‘normalen’ Sbelsgen, die ja gerne mal um die 3 kg wiegen. Ich schneide im Garten ste und Stmmchen bis 8 cm Durchmesser, bei den Sgeblttern werde ich zuknftig mal eine Holzsgeblatt von Bosch ausprobieren, das mitgelieferte Holzsgeblatt finde ich persnlich etwas kurz, das ist in der Handhabung nicht so der Hit, meine Erwartung an die Schneidleistung hat sich da nicht ganz erfllt. Mal sehen, ob das noch besser geht. Ja, die Maschine wird schon mal warm und riecht, wenn man sie fordert, aber ich vertraue der MAKITA Qualitt, alle meine anderen Akkuwerkzeuge dieser Firma sind TOP und machen mir immer noch Freude. This saw isn’t a good replacement for the standard Reciprocating Saw. Its a worthwhile extra saw to get into tight areas or for lighter jobs.
Je travail au jardin ou dans les bois tranquillement et faire un peu d’lagage avec cet outil autonome est un plus. Les batteries sont trs puissantes et rsistantes.

Qualit Makita, garantie 3 ans, pour le prix, on ne va pas se plaindre.
quand on a dj un lot de batterie, c’est un rgal d’avoir de nouvelles machines de qualit des prix bas.
La machine est plutt lgre, la prise en main est bonne (les insert en caoutchouc) a ne glisse pas.
le variateur est plutot confortable.
il y a un double interrupteur, soit de la main droite, soit de la main gauche. a permet de tenir la machine diffremment.
le fixage des lames se fait avec une bague rotative, comme sur les scie sauteuse. pratique, a bouge pas !
je n’ai pas mis 5 toiles, parce que j’aurai aim un dbattement un peu plus grand.
l, il faut coller la machine au bois si on veut une coupe efficace.
Pour le mtal, tige filet etc… le faible dbattement n’est pas important, a coupe bien !
Makita a fait dsormais des machines plus puissantes, plus lourdes, surement pour d’autres usages.
e ne va pas remplacer une scie circulaire, ni une scie sauteuse. mais pour certaines coupes, mme de branche, c’est top.
Perso, je m’en sers pour dmonter des palettes, et je coupe bois et clous avec (avec la bonne lame). le gain de temps est considrable.
J’ai dj plusieurs machines makita et j’en suis toujours aussi content.

I recently bought this saw for light duty tasks around the house, timing branches, cutting small gauge metal etc. The first task I did with it was to cut up my old Christmas tree so I could easily dispose of it. The saw had no problem with it, took me about 5 min to have it delimbed and cut down. The main trigger can be a bit awkward due to the fact you need to reach forward and depress the trigger lock, but there is also a second trigger on the shaft of the saw which is awesome! Very happy with my purchase!

Diese Makitasge habe ich angeschafft fr die Karosserieblechbearbeitung (als Alternative zur Druckluftsge), zum Auftrennen von Fahrwerksbuchsen, die hufig festgerostet sind und Holzarbeiten im Innen- und Auenbereich (Carport/Schuppenbau sowie Gartenpflege). Da ich bereits diverse Makitagerte besitze, bin ich etwas systemgebunden – leider mchte ich hinzufgen, weil ich von den Makitateilen der letzten Jahre nicht mehr so richtig berzeugt bin. Der lange Baukrper der Sge ist sowohl bei Arbeiten am Auto ( mit kurzem Metallsgeblatt) als auch bei Auenarbeiten (Wegschneiden von sten zum Auslichten und Formschneiden bei Busch und Baum) fters mal im Weg. Mein Fazit: Wer schon “Makitagebunden” ist, kann das Teil kaufen, wer noch frei ist, sollte sich Alternativen ansehen. Besonders preisgnstig ist Makita ja nachwievor nicht.

First time i used one of these. It doesnt cut through steel as easy as i expected, still takes a bit of elbow grease to maintain pressure but 100 times better than a hack saw. Its a bit too big to trim toenails but worked wonders on my public hairs

Awesome tool when used lightly and for the appropriate job- I tend to use it to grab for minor quick jobs like cutting off screw heads of chopping out wooden dowels

Another worth while purchase.
It does the job of a hacksaw or wood saw just quicker. Saved me a lot of time with diy tasks.

As a fan of Makita power tools for 30 years and having had many sawzalls over that time, this one is my second cordless one and works great, even managed to cut down de-limb an 18 foot softwood tree with just 2 3.0AH batteries. Comfortable to use with a decent balance. Great for those quick jobs or jobs where you can't get a power cord to.

Nachdem ich den groen, schnurgebundenen Bruder Makita Reciprosge 1010 W, JR3050T dieser kleinen Makita habe, durfte eine Akkuvariante fr schnelle Gelegenheitsarbeiten ebenfalls Einzug in meinen Gertepark halten. Ich schwankte zwischen der DJR 186 und dieser hier.
Letztendlich berzeugte mich das Gewicht und die vorhandene groe Variante. Fr alles Grere hole ich die Kabelgebundene Makita aus dem Keller. Aber dieser kleine Racker hat es durchaus auch drauf.
Aber erst einmal, wofr sich die DJR 183 nicht oder nur bedingt eignet:
* Lngere Sgebltter (z.Bsp. 240er) wirken bertrieben, gehen aber. Spa macht das jedoch weniger.
* Reihenweise Dachlatten oder Balken zu schneiden bringt die Kleine an ihre Grenzen
* lngere Trennarbeiten
Was mich hingegen begeistert ist die Vielseitigkeit. Ich habe nicht gewut, da ich mir so ein Gert wnsche, bis ich es mir geholt habe. Die Wahlmglichkeit der Bedienung entweder hinten (Pistolengriff) oder vorne in Schaftnhe ist genial.
Wofr ich es bereits verwendet habe (ein kleiner Auszug):
* Astschnitt / Gartenarbeit (ideal dafr)
* Grobes (transportgerechtes) zerteilen einer alten Tischplatte
* Grobzuschnitt von Koffereinlagen
* Metallstab durchtrennen
* Zaunlatte krzen, um defekte Latte auszutauschen
* eigentlich alles, wofr ich frher einen kleinen muskelbetriebenen Fuchsschwanz hergenommen htte.
Man darf keine Wunder erwarten, aber fr die Klasse ist das Teil leistungsstark, extrem leicht und gut konzipiert. Es ersetzt auf keinen Fall eine groe Recipro-Sge, sofern man diese bentigt. Wenn man eine Akku-Reciprosge als Ersatz zur Kabelvariante sucht, sollte man lieber zu dieser greifen: Makita Akku-Reciprosge (18 V, ohne Akku, ohne Ladegert) DJR186ZK
Fr meinen Anwendungsfall jedoch gilt immer noch: Ich bin Quitschbrllbegeistert.
Handy as hell.. for when you don't need a full sized reciprocal saw. It's not a power house, so don't expect it to replace a full sized unit. I bout it for cutting 1 1/2" ABS for plumbing sinks, drains, etc. For that... it works fantastic. A fine addition to my toolbox.

Die 183er ist allerdings in Sachen Gre und Leistung definitv kein brutales Baustellengert, sondern eher fr Garten und Hobby. Den geringen Hub fand ich anfangs gewhnungsbedrftig, ist im Alltag aber nicht von Nachteil. Die zwei verschiedenen Einschalter knnten etwas feinfhliger reagieren, und sind fr meinen Geschmack beide nicht 100% ergonomisch. Aber kein Drama, man gewhnt sich dran. Nutze meinen 5Ah Akku vom Rasentrimmer, der ist ziemlich berdimensioniert, mit der Sge kriegt man den an einem Tag kaum alle…

Being a builder and having a corded reciprocating saw I was in two minds about purchasing this item based on its performance. However I was pleasantly surprised. Another great tool buy from makita. Well worth the money and I find myself using it more due to the jigsaw function which allowed me to cut and fit kitchen worktops. Great tool

I am an electrician by trade, and recieved the saw last night. I hot a chance to test it out today, and it works fantastic, its not as goof as the milwaukee hackzall but for 1/3 the price you cant beat it, the only downside i find is while using the normal trigger the safety button is in a bad spot and having to actually press it to operate makes it a little weird, i may just have to get used to it though.
Other than that i highly reccomend this as a compact saw, for cutting emt pvc etc

This unit is perfect for smaller internal jobs like cutting out plasterboard and stud. It is much easier to control acccurately than it’s bigger brothers.
Die Verarbeitung der Akku-Reciprosge ist, wie von Makita allgemein gewohnt, perfekt. Die Sge liegt gut in der Hand und ist relativ leicht. Einzige Einschrnkung ist die doch recht schwache Sgeleistung. Wenn der Sgevorgang schwerer wird, geht sie relativ schnell “in die Knie”, trotz vollem Akku und neuen Sgeblttern. Hier wrde ich mir mehr Leistung wnschen. Wer also mit so einer Sge fter arbeiten will oder mu, sollte sich die grere Reciprosge zulegen.
Nice compact saw for light work. Great for overhead cutting as it has both a normal bottom trigger and one on top so you can really control it well. Just don’t expect it to replace your real recip saw as it will not. Stroke is short so it takes more time.
