The GD0600/2 is powered by 400 watt motor to deliver up to 25,000 rpm to handle the most challenging applications.
The Die Grinder has a paddle type on/off switch, small circumference housing and an easy to grip small diameter barrel grip for added comfort. The round shaped collet nut is engineered to prevent damages and scratches to the workpiece. Directional air vents channel the tool’s air output away from the operators face.

Fr den Heimwerker ein optimales Werkzeug. Gute Verarbeitung und 400 W sind fr kleinere Schleifarbeiten wirklich genug. Der Schalter ist eine Gewohnheitssache, mit Arbeitshandschuhen vielleicht etwas umstndlich zu bedienen. Aber ich arbeite ohne Handschuhe und habe daher das Problem nicht.
Vermutlich sind die Lager bis Oben hin mit Fett gefllt, das vordere Lager ist nach einer Minute Leerlauf sehr warm geworden und es trat flssig gewordenes Fett aus. Darum habe ich den Schleifer erst mal “Einlaufen” lassen. Das geht so: Einschalten und ohne Gummiabdeckung fhlen wann das vordere Lager warm wird, abschalten und ausgetretenes Fett wegputzen. Wenn abgekhlt (handwarm) wieder anschalten. Noch paar mal wiederholen, dann wird das Lager nicht mehr hei, und es ist immer noch gengend Fett fr eine Lebensdaerschmierung im Lager vorhanden. Ich habe mit dem Schleifer schon so Einiges gearbeitet. Und ich wrde ihn nicht missen wollen. Er luft sehr sehr vibrationsarm und hat gengend Leistung um z.B. kurz mal eine M16 12.9 Schraube durch zu trennen. Und der Preis dafr ist wirklich in Ordnung.
Das Gert ist solide verarbeitet, das Kabel knnte etwas lnger sein.
Wre das Gert mit einer Drehzahlregelung ausgestattet wre es top, so muss jeder fr sich entscheiden ob er eine bentigt oder nicht.

Ottima smerigliatrice, non amo Makita come elettroutensili ad esclusione delle smerigliatrici: ho una angolare da 230mm di 40 anni fa e svariate angolari piccole con cui non ho mai avuto problemi.
Anche con questa mi sono trovato bene.
Unica limitazione l’assenza della regolazione di velocit, che ne limita l’utilizzo agli utensili pi piccoli.

Used this to do some porting and polishing of engine parts. The tool worked really really well, and I did not miss it not having variable speeds. The paddle mechanism works well, and I did not get uncomfortable. I did feel it was worth the extra 30 or so dollars for the paddle.
I’m no expert polisher/grinder, but I would buy this tool again. 5 hours of operation and it do not get hot or seem overworked at all.

Bentigte zum Schweiraupen gltten eine krftige aber noch einigermaen handliche Schleifmaschine und habe diesen Geradschleifer von Makita im Internet gefunden. Zur praktischen Anwendung kann ich nur sagen, dass sie exakt meine Anforderungen erfllt. Verwendbar sind alle Frser mit 6mm Schaftdurchmesser. Da kommen Modellbaumaschinen nicht mit. Wrde ich mir fr diesen Preis wieder kaufen.

This is the first time I have used a die grinder and would recommend this model. I am not using this for business purposes but for general home projects use it is ideal. Using quality burrs, it removes mild steel without any problem. The physical size of the grinder also helps allowing for two hands to provide the control necessary for fine work. The 6mm collet keeps a firm hold on the burr used. Good piece of equipment.

Awesome grinder. I have used it for hours of brutal work and it’s going strong. Maybe the people that rated it bad do not know how to use it or thought it was variable speed which most die grinders are NOT. Most die grinders are 1 speed only. FAST. 😉

Paddle switch is easy to use, I had thought about buying the sliding switch version, but after using it I like this one. I would but this again.
Lo que se espera de la marca makita, ni menos -pero tampoco- ms. En serio, no costara tanto que este herramienta viniese en un estuche de plstico para poder tener este herramienta guardada… Ya que la caja de cartn me temo que no durar mucho. Por lo dems la mquina funciona correctamente.
El funcionamiento es el siguiente; con un dedo movemos el seguro y, mientras sigue apretado, con la misma mano podemos abonar el gatillo (es grande y fcil de usar) esto hace que con cualquier movimiento se detenga la mquina, siendo bastante seguro de utilizar sin accidentes.

Leider konnte ich keine passende Spannzange in der Gre 1/4 Zoll (6,35 mm) finden, obwohl diese Option in der Betriebsanleitung gegeben ist.
Ich werden halt weiter suchen.

I purchased this unit to replace an air powered grinder and could not be happier. I am a hobby welder and avid DIY’r and this grinder does a great job. I use it mostly to clean up welds and cuts withe 1/4 inch burrs. I purchased the fixed RPM model but a variable is available if you want that feature. It sure beats having to haul a hose and compressor around. To be honest this is my first electric die grinder so I cant compare it to other units but it has been very useful to me.

Really good die grinder–should have gotten one long ago. As much power as you need to apply the correct amount of pressure without bogging down. Smooth running. ( I do wish it had a lock-on button at the back of the paddle like Makita’s paddle switch angle grinders, but its probably safer since it doesn’t, and it wasn’t a problem, because the paddle is so large.) I would definitely buy it again if it ever breaks.

Was soll ich ber die Qualitt von Makita Gerten schreiben? Die tun ihren Zweck sind fast unkaputtbar und wenn mal die Kohlen durch sind kann man die fr ein paar Euros ersetzen.
I have abused the hell out of this thing since I got it, still works great. Used it to strip the rust and paint off the floorboards of my car for repainting.
I’ve ran it until it got so hot I couldn’t touch it. It has been used to grind fiber glass and the dusty crap has caked the air intake for the motor, still works great.
Sure gives you a nasty cut if you accidentally grinding wheel yourself.

Ich verwende den Schleifer als Ersatz fr ein altes, chronisch berlastetes Gert von Proxxon mit 100 Watt / 12V. Obwohl er mit 1,7kg so schwer ist, wie ein Frsmotor von Kress mit ber 1kW Leistung, kann man ihn fr feine Arbeiten noch mit einer Hand fhren, wenn man ihn sich dabei “unter den Arm klemmt”. Das lange Spindelgehuse mit nur 35mm Durchmesser macht hier den entscheidenden Unterschied.
Trotz des verdchtig gnstigen Preises (96,- EUR incl. Versand) handelt es sich NICHT um eine Produktflschung. Mein Exemplar hat eine “2015” im Typenschild eingeprgt, stammt also aus aktueller Fertigung. Es gibt aber ein paar Schnheitsfehler:
Der vordere Teil des Spindelgehuses erwrmt sich (ohne Last und ohne Gummischutz) innerhalb von einer Minute auf knapp 50C, der hintere immer noch auf etwas ber 30C. Der Lebensdauer der Lager ist das sicher abtrglich. Mit Gummischutz werden die Temperaturen noch hher sein, dann kann ich sie aber nicht messen.
In derselben Zeit steigt die Leerlaufdrehzahl von 21.500 auf 22.800 U/min und fllt danach wieder langsam ab. Die Nenndrehzahl von 25.000 U/min wird also nicht erreicht. Drehzahlregler gibts keinen.
Das seitliche Spiel der Spindel bei leichtem Druck mit der Hand betrgt 3/100mm. Die Rundlaufabweichung lsst sich daher nicht sicher bestimmen. Ich ma im Spannfutterkonus etwas unglaubwrdige 1,5/100mm. Ist aber auch egal, denn…
Der 43mm-Spannhals unter dem Gummischutz ist nicht berdreht, sondern hat eine unbearbeitete Gu-Oberflche ohne Kanten oder Abstze. Er dient der Montage eines Zusatz-Handgriffs. Der in einigen “Produktinfos” erwhnte Bohrstnder taugt nur als Halter beim Gebrauch einer Biegewelle, aber nicht um darin zu frsen! Der Paddelschalter lsst sich zwar arretieren und mu nicht stndig gehalten werden. Dies ist aber definitiv ein handgefhrtes Werkzeug.
Der “effektive Staubschutz fr Motor und Getriebe” ist einfach das Khlgeblse, das krftig nach vorne blst und ein bisschen wie Sperrluft wirkt. Es gibt aber keinen Filter oder sowas, und ein Getriebe hat das Ding nicht.
Der Schalldruck in 1/2m Abstand (in Arbeitshaltung vor dem Bauch bis zum Ohr) betrgt etwa 79dB(A). Das ist zwar kurzzeitig ertrglich, ich benutze aber trotzdem immer einen Gehrschutz.
Das Anschlukabel ist brigens zweipolig, aus Gummi (H05RN-F 2x 1,0mm), 2,60m lang und hat einen sog. “Konturenstecker” (CEE 7/17) ohne Schutzkontakt. Passt somit in ganz Europa mit Ausnahme von Schweiz und England. Die aufgedruckten Anschluwerte lauten: 230-240V~ 1,8A 50Hz 400W. Die Leistungsaufnahme im Leerlauf betrgt 175 Watt.
Bei den Spannzangen herrscht ziemliches Chaos und die von Makita dazu telefonisch erteilte Auskuft war falsch. berdies ist die Lieferbarkeit schlecht. Solche fr den GD0800 passen NICHT und es gibt auch keine fr 8mm! Hchstwahrscheinlich benutzen die Geradschleifer 906, GD0600 und GD0601 dieselben Spannzangen. Gelistet sind vier verschiedene Gren:
– 3mm, Bestellnummer 763627-4
– 1/8″ (3,175mm), Bestellnummer 763626-6 (ASIN B00018ABSW ?)
– 6mm (im Lieferumfang), Bestellnummer 763620-8
– 1/4″ (6,35mm), Bestellnummer 763625-8
Obacht: Werkzeuge und Schfte mit 3mm und 1/8″ knnten bei 400 Watt bereits berlastet sein, abscheren und wegfliegen. Besser immer mit Schutzbrille und Handschuhen arbeiten. Und natrlich NIE auch nur minimal zu groe Schfte in zu kleine Spannzangen stecken (1/4″ in 6mm oder 1/8″ in 3mm)!
Zum Versand: Das Gert wurde einen Tag nach Bestellung verschickt und kam schon 3 Tage spter an (aus Spanien). GLS schmeit Pakete leider genauso gerne durch die Gegend, wie DHL. Da die Versandverpackung von CESUMIN SL nur aus einer schwarzen Tte und darin der originale Pappkarton ohne weitere Polsterung besteht, sind Versandschden nicht unwahrscheinlich. Ich empfehle dringend, die Tte noch im Beisein des Lieferanten zu ffnen und den Inhalt zu untersuchen! Bei mir war der Karton ziemlich zerfetzt und der Schleifer hing mit dem Spannfutter vorn heraus.

Ottimo attrezzo manico ergonomico con una potenza elevata..molto economico rispetto al mercato italiano e poi Makita un nome una garanzia.
Being a pipe welder I purchased this die grinder to help me prep my pipe on the inside for TIG welding with the use of flapper wheels. I wouldn’t say that this grinder has a ton of power but defiantly enough to get the job done. I am glad that I went with the paddle version of this grinder, it is much more comfortable to use especially having larger hands. The tools seems to have an excellent build quality and should last a long time if not abused by putting too much load on it (i.e. let the RPMs do the work for you verses pushing hard on it) Overall I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to a friend.
C’ stata ambiguit nella descrizione dell’oggetto che risultava a 120V ma grazie all’assistenza del sito ho capito che era un errore dei dati riportati ed infatti sulla targhetta dell’apparecchio era riportata la tensione corretta ! Ho usato l’apparecchio durante l’ultima settimana ed ho constatato che molto bilanciato , pu montare una svariata serie di accessori ( con piccola “modifica” anche ex DREMEL ) , preciso perch si pu impugnare saldamente a due mani ed efficace per potenza e velocit.
Sehr gute Preis-Leistung!
Super weiter so werde euch auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Attrezzo veramente piacevole da utilizzare, di costruzione robusta ben bilanciato di buona potenza nulla da invidiare con i prodotti pi costosi (unico neo la velocit fissa)

Die Lautstrke ist absolut in Ordnung bei einer Drehzahl von 25000 Umdrehung pro Minute. Habe ihn getestet mit einem HSS Frskopf am Flacheisen. Die Spanabnahme geht hervorragend ohne viel Druck. Das Gert zieht sehr gut durch und auch bei mehr Druck aufs Material bleibt der Geradschleifer nicht stehen. Es ist zwar keine Drehzahlreglung dabei, ist aber beim schleifen und frsen nicht immer erforderlich, denn gerade beim frsen brauch man hohe Drehzahlen. Es ist ein sicherer Schalter verbaut, bei dem sich beim lsen der Hand das Gert sofort abschaltet, der Schalter lsst sich aber mit einem Knopf fixieren. Das Gert ist mit einem normalen Stecker ( Schukostecker ) versehen. Es sind zwei Maulschlssel zum spannen und lsen dabei. Er wird zwar von Spanien aus verschickt war aber nach 3 Tagen schon da. Klare Kaufempfehlung…

Wie offenbar bei Makita blich, handelt es sich auch hier um ein echt ordentliches Gert! Lsst sich gut fhren, hat genug Kraft UND hat einen sogenannten Paddelschalter. Dieser schaltet das Gert sofort beim loslassen (fallenlassen) aus – es sei denn man wlt die Option ihn zu arretieren!
Das Gert kam frher als erwartet mit einem Schucostecker in 240Volt Ausfhrung und ist somit fr unser Stromnetz vorgesehen!
Klare kaufempfehlung!

A lot of brands make die grinders but this one by Makita performs nicely, especially since it comes with the paddle switch which is a must and offers a lot more control compared to lock button models. This tool will be useful for most of my home shop projects!

It certainly is a handy tool for removing rotten wood from window frames before repairing them.
There is no way to adjust the speed on this die grinder. Sandpaper rolls should spin slower, but there is no way to do that with this Paddle switch die grinder. The technical details on the description say that it is variable speed, but it’s not.
My $20 pneumatic die grinder works better; but you need an air compressor that can keep up with it. My 2.5 hp 21 gallon air compressor can’t keep up with the pneumatic, so I switch back and forth.
aprs avoir achet d’occasion une meuleuse droite hitachi GP2 en panne, la rparation me coutais plus cher que la Makita, donc pas d’hsitation la rparation plus de 150 , la Makita neuf sous garantie 100,dommage que je n’est pas vu avent cette annonce

Muy buena herramienta y con mucha potencia para ser la mas pequea de su clase (400w).Hay otras mas potentes pero yo la uso para madera, tallado y me sirve muy bien. Antes de esta compre uan Dremel que use como un ao y tuve que mandarla al servicio de reparacion 2 veces – decepcion total!
Lo bueno de Makita GD0600: mucha potencia, buen agarre si la tienes que sujetar con las dos manos, cable largo, poco ruido -para lo que es.
Lo malo: el peso.

I had to replace my Makita die grinder as the head broke. I was pleased with it but the head broke when it got jammed while I was using it and the head virtually broke off. I was very pleased when the new one arrived that they changed the design and upgraded the head design that is superior to the old design.

Yeah if you need one then buy it because these are excellent quality and have plenty of power when compared with a dremel or something like that.
I use it with a carbide burr tool to grind down welds in difficult to reach places and its ideal!

Very good tool for smaller applications. Fits well in the hands and is able to clean up welding joints in a very easy way. I have used solid carbide cutters for this job and not grindstones. Up to now the die grinder has functioned well using these cutters. How long the bearings will hold out I just don’t know but it certainly is easier than using an air operated die grinder…
As I’ve said before I’m a pipe fitter, and I can say that I actually use this everyday. It’s dedicated use is with a Pferd 6″ carbide bit for cleaning spatter out of pipe. Being that it’s constantly exposed to grinding dust and welding sparks and it’s still going, that’s pretty good. Oh yea, I’ve had it for about a year now. This tool is very quiet, produces very little vibration and has more than enough power for me. Oh yea, one more thing, PAY ATTENTION to the rpm ratings on bits that you use for this!! If you don’t it will vibrate badly because the bits cannot stay balanced at 23,000 rpm. So, you’ll have to spend extra on bits. Weiler brand grinding stones are about the best you can buy at the local hardware store.
This would be the 5th name-brand die grinder I’ve owned – and so far the best. Operation is super smooth and ergonomics are very comfortable. First Makita anything I’ve owned and I’m very impressed. Stacks up well against grinders that easily cost double.
Powerful motor, easy to control, well-made. Chuck requires 2 wrenches to lock, which is inconvenient.

La herramienta esta buena lo que pasa es que el switch para mantenerla prendida no tiene otro dispositivo que le deje la velocidad fija mantenida entonces siempre es necesario la mano de uno ahi manteniendo la presion para que funcione. Por la misma razon se vuelve muy segura.
This item was just what I wanted and needed – very easy to work with, safe to use, and in excellent shape. I used this for porting heads and manifolds out and a dream to work with.
This thing is huge compared to my pneumatic grinder, but it is nice not having to haul out the compressor and fire it up for small & quick jobs. Haven’t used it much so I can’t comment on its durability, but it looks like it’ll work for my jobs (automotive, motorcycles, household). For its size, seems well balanced and easy to use in tight spots.
Husband reports that he loves this die grinder. He is an engine machinist. He reports that it is quiet, light & powerful. Also, half the price we would have paid for buying it from the suppliers here in Canada.
I had used a Habor Freight die grinder before untill I burned it out which always felt dangerous to use, getting this makita was like the difference between heaven and hell of the die grinder world, this Makita is Great, solid, quit, very very smooth, and comfortable and secure to use, I highly recommend it. Well worth the money.
