Only used it for slicing bread but makes a perfectly even slice. Badly sliced bread has been a source of dispute and amusement in our household for many years.

The machine stands up to the competition in this price range ( most are very similar ) This machine is 200 watts and I certainly wouldn’t want anything less powerful.
It does the job in a perfectly adequate manner although being vegetarian I have only used it on non-meats I am sure it will cope with meat. Someone complained about poor performance with cheese. ( You do need to chill cheese almost to freezing point to get the best cut ( just a tip )

Follow up ………..after two weeks still can’t get the machine registered for warranty purposes. Tried web site doesn’t exist, tried customer services in Africa, no reply. So you may well be on your own if it goes wrong after 30 days therefore buy with caution.

The slicer worked perfectly cutting thin slices off of a 3″ salami. It was easy to dismantle and clean, very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to any home user.

I have used the meat cutter for pork and beef and lamb and ham no problem getting the meat cut to the thickness I want.
Bought for slicing cooked ham thinly, does the job well. The sliding platform is easily removed and the blade has three screws to remove it for cleaning. Overall quite easy to clean. The plastic holder used to hold the meat in place/push the meat down on the blade just sits on the sliding platform so care needed when transporting/storing as it drops off easy.
Not too good at cutting fresh bread but anything else is easy.
Being the first meat slicer I had bought I was a little concerned that I was buying right. Especially given that the price range is 60-600. I wanted something for home use so plumped for the lower end using a little online research. This is a great slicer – well made, easy to use and unlike a lot of products on the market very easy and quick to clean. Even with something potentially messy as meat, it took me 5 minutes to have it all clean. Another plus was the lack of inaccessible crevices for food to hide. Highly recommended.

When slicing a joint of meat the thickness is so easy to adjust,very useful as my wife likes very thin slices and I prefer thicker ones.It also means when you get to the end of the.joint You don’t get broken lumps left over.

Meat pusher broke and was replaced without a quibble
This slicer will pay for itself very quickly. I find it is cheaper to buy a large joint of beef or pork and with this slicer I will be able to easily cut the meat and have meat for four or five dinners rather than buying a smaller joint more suited for just two people and only get two meals from it.
This machine also save my arthritic wrists from a lot of pain after carving.
So far I have only used it for meat – can’t wait to try it on bread and cheese.

I would point out that when in use these machines do create an amount of meat fragments which collect on the worktop under the machine as with cutting wood your get sawdust, these are easily wiped up after removing the machine from the worktop. NOTE: if you’re a cat or dog owner these tiny tasty meaty bits are a welcome treat on top of their regular pet food!
