Perfectly sliced bread
Only used it for slicing bread but makes a perfectly even slice. Badly sliced bread has been a source of dispute and amusement in our household for many years.

It does the job in a perfectly adequate manner although being vegetarian I have only used it on non-meats I am sure it will cope with meat. Someone complained about poor performance with cheese. ( You do need to chill cheese almost to freezing point to get the best cut ( just a tip )

Don’t push too har, too fast and too thick
When I tried to slice it a bit quicker and harder, the wheel was loosen from the gear and lucky that it didn’t jump out and hurt me.
After this incident, I’m just wonder where can I get the spare wheel and gear from Amazon? Market?

I have used the meat cutter for pork and beef and lamb and ham no problem getting the meat cut to the thickness I want.

The plastic holder used to hold the meat in place/push the meat down on the blade just sits on the sliding platform so care needed when transporting/storing as it drops off easy.

Being the first meat slicer I had bought I was a little concerned that I was buying right. Especially given that the price range is 60-600. I wanted something for home use so plumped for the lower end using a little online research. This is a great slicer – well made, easy to use and unlike a lot of products on the market very easy and quick to clean. Even with something potentially messy as meat, it took me 5 minutes to have it all clean. Another plus was the lack of inaccessible crevices for food to hide. Highly recommended.
Brought this after husband had a go at me after cutting finger again wile carving meat, just used to cut a roast pork joint, works great, have to leave meat to cool before cutting but not a problem, just put gravy on it and quick blast in microwave when required, cleans easy,, would have been better if had a cover to put over, as if like me storing on open shelves.

I like the simplicity of the slicer and the professional engineering of it. It slices as thin or thick you like and most foods too.
It’s easy to dismantle to clean and just as easy to reassemble. For me, who suffers from arthritis in my hands, it’s made carving much Sunday roast so much easier. Just remember it’s a meat slicer and don’t slice anything on the bone, or with hard stones like peaches.

Good domestic slicer. However there is a design fault. The sliced items fall out of the back of the machine. There is no collection plate. We managed to rig up a plate balanced on a ramekin to collect the slices but not ideal.

Wish I had got this years ago.
This slicer will pay for itself very quickly. I find it is cheaper to buy a large joint of beef or pork and with this slicer I will be able to easily cut the meat and have meat for four or five dinners rather than buying a smaller joint more suited for just two people and only get two meals from it.
This machine also save my arthritic wrists from a lot of pain after carving.
So far I have only used it for meat – can’t wait to try it on bread and cheese.

The one negative – there are some small crevices that food can get into and is difficult to clean but otherwise it is great. We use it to slice our homemade bread and we now buy ham joints and slice those. It is easy to adjust the thickness of the slice. The blade is removable along with the ‘thing’ that you hold the food in place with when cutting.

Needed 24 slices of Serrano ham quickly – easy; followed by 12 slices of a round cheese – perfect; then slicing half a baguette to make toasted “crisps” – a doddle.

There’s still room for improvement, in particular, the cleaning. It’s not easy to clean the space behind the blade. There’s a hole that allows the food to enter and be trapped.

So far I used it for cutting home made bread, it cuts both thick and thin slices very well indeed, would recommend.
I bought this to slice home cured bacon. It sticks well to the worktop. The worktop is polished stone so it is the best case. It slices well so far. One slight caution the size of the unit is a little small so you cannot fit a whole loin or belly of pork.

I used this to cut perfectly sliced roast beef. I have used a different slicing machine before at my parents. This machine seems much more robust and much easier to clean. Only took a few mins where as my parent’s machine seems more fiddly to dismantle and clean. Also with my parents one, you have to have your finger constantly on the button to operate, which means you don’t have a hand free to take the meat slices. With this machine there is a safety start button system in place so you cannot accidentally switch on. Once on, the blade continues to rotate until you switch it off. Although I can understand that the design of my parents machine is a safety feature…I actually thought this machine is in a lot of ways much better and equally safe as since the machine is running and you don’t have to concentrate on how firmly you are having to hold the on button, it means you are free to concentrate on slicing your meat and as long as you use the sliding meat holder your hands and fingers are safely away from the blade plus you have the other free the other side to catch the slices as they are produced similar to a professional machine I used when I worked in a butchers years ago slicing bacon. The adjustable dial clearly shows the thickness in millimetres so you know exactly the thickness of your slices unlike my parent’s one that you have to adjust and try until you have the desired cut. There are cheaper machines on the market however you get what you pay for. The main body housing the blade is stainless steel, unlike my parent’s which is plastic making it durable and easy to clean and the new modification on the slide bar allows you to remove the section that slides the meat across the blade of for easy cleaning where as the previous version didn’t so you had to clean around the slide bar. I’m very impressed and pleased with it’s performance and is definately worth paying the extra for.
I would point out that when in use these machines do create an amount of meat fragments which collect on the worktop under the machine as with cutting wood your get sawdust, these are easily wiped up after removing the machine from the worktop. NOTE: if you’re a cat or dog owner these tiny tasty meaty bits are a welcome treat on top of their regular pet food!

I have tried fried thin slice lamb and it was so delicious, but I can’t find any supermarket selling the thinly sliced lamb. So I would like to do it myself, with this electrical slice mechanic it’s so easy to get what you want, you can choose to cut from 1mm to 20mm of the slice and it did so well.
After I tried the thin cut lamb I also tried to slice bread, ham, vegetables and so on, all been cut evenly and quickly.
It’s a amazing machine the cooking lover must have, love it.
