I used an earwax softener for three or four days and then used this syringe which completely removed all the wax from my ear. Saved me a long delay getting it cleaned professionally and a lot of money.

OMG I’ve had a blocked ear for bout 9 days tried all sorts to unblock it with no success at all… no joke literally 2 goes with this syringe and my ear is fully back to normal! I couldn’t hardly hear anything in my ear before I’d say 80%

    It does the job.
I checked the reviews before buying, was going to get a dearer one that was recommended but, this is well worth the money and clears your ears well, gently and thoroughly.
    Good buy 😉

I had to do quite a few rounds but removed some serious boulders and can hear again. Make sure to use eardrops for a few days before using this to soften things up. It didn’t cause pressure or uncomfort in use, all good.

You must use a softening agent before use. Olive oil or an off the shelf product would be fine. I would use this for at least 5 days before attempting to use the syringe. If it hurts stop and continue to use the softening agent. If that doesn’t work seek medical help. I would be very wary of using this on a child.

My daughter has tiny ear canals and as a result has suffered with ear wax build up, we’ve tried soo many different ear wax Softner drops, and have had many trips to the ENT department to have them seen to. None of it has worked like this product! First time usage and she Finally has clear ears and must be able to hear so much better! Would 100% recommend!

Only advice would be to not over do it as it can and will.cause further irritation as you’ll start to clear out the protection your ears need.

I’ve always struggled with excess wax in my right ear and after finding out that the NHS no longer offer syringing, I started looking for alternatives. I had already been putting olive oil in my ear for 5 days but to no avail. I was pretty much deaf in my right ear and feeling dizzy every so often from the pressure build up. I stumbled across this product when looking on Amazon for ear drops and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a go. And I’m so glad that I did! It took a good few squirts of warm water for the first piece of wax to come out, and I think in total I was syringing my ear for about 15 minutes to make sure it was all out. I can now hear clearly again!! So happy with this product!!

Lost the hearing in my right ear due to displacement of wax . This kit worked wonders! After the second use, my hearing came back, and all the gunk came out of my ear. So happy! Best to loosen the wax with ear oil before using this kit. 5 outa 5

I always get excess wax and always make it worse with cotton buds, so decided to try this, I used oil for 5 days then went for this.
I filled it with warm water and tilted my head and used the syringe it feels pretty powerful the whooshing of the water but you get a bit wet lol.

This did work but I would say did it 20 times before it worked and the wax dropped into the sink and I can hear!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI was quite skeptical but a friend recommended this sort of thing so I bought one. I had almost lost my hearing in one ear after swimming or even after a long bath. I used sodium bicarbonate ear drops for a few days (even though it recommends olive oil). You have to poke the rubber end right into your ear (further than it shows in the photos) and you have to squirt it quite hard several times. Don’t give up! It’s so satisfying to see all that muck in the sink . Even my own voice sounds crisper.

Order this product because I had lost most of my hearing in one ear and felt pain/pressure from compacted earwax. I can’t believe something so simple was so effective. I used it as soon as it arrived with a pint glass of warm water and my head over the sink and I couldn’t believe how much wax came out and the relief when the blockage was cleared after 4/5 full syringes, cannot recommend enough it’s saved me 3 weeks waiting for ear syringing at the doctors

  23. Anonymous says:

Used numerous different products to clean my ears and these are simple and the best. You need to use a spray or drops before using for a day or 2 to get the most out of this. Note the speed you press the plunger denotes the power the water goes in. I would recommend a slow and steady press. Press too hard and you may feel your clearing more but you may also be distressing your inner ear – don’t get carried away, especially when a steady press works.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersVery skeptical when buying this at first, but it worked very well for me, clearing an ear completely blocked with wax. I would definitely recommend this syringe, likely one of the cheapest ways to clear a blocked ear. Here’s what I did:

-Softened Wax with olive oil drops for about 5 days before using syringe
-Boiled water in a kettle (to sterilize it), poured hot water into a jug and left to cool to lukewarm temperature
-Pulled water into the syringe, and put the rubber tip into my ear as far as it would allow.
-Gently plunged the water into my ear (many times, I used the whole jug of water), sometimes pulling my ear up and backwards to open the canal. The intensity of the water should make a roaring sound.

Assuming the wax is softened enough, with each plunge, the wax will start breaking apart and falling into the sink.
I think softening with oil is extremely important for it to be a comfortable process.

    Hope this helps 🙂

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI first squeezed some Otex Express drops in my left ear (only my left ear was bunged up). This is a hydrogen peroxide based solution. I lay on my side while the drops took effect which is observed by the crackling sound in your ear as the hydrogen peroxide breaks down the ear wax. After about 12 to 15 minutes, I drained off excess fluid from my ear into some tissue paper and then filled the wash basin with hot but not scalding water. I syringed my ear about 6 or 7 times and bits and pieces of wax came out. I repeated this procedure over 3 days and my hearing seems a lot better now. I have a bit of an earache but that’s due to the use of CPAP equipment that I have to sleep with. For some reason, it affects my left ear sometimes. Squeeze the plunger gently when syringing. A slow gradual squeeze cause high speed jets of water to squirt out pretty much like a shower head. This causes the jets of water to spray around the inside of the ear rather than directly on to the ear drum. Make sure you fit one of the supplied nozzles before use. So far it seems to have done its job and hopefully my ear will feel normal again in a few days. It’s just nice to be able to hear properly out of it now.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen I bought this, I didn’t have high expectations. However, I was amazed at how much ear wax it removed. I needed to soften the wax with Otex for two or three days and then used this kit to clean out the wax. It took about 6 or 7 full syringes worth of water until nothing else came out but after a few flakes a huge wax plug was washed out. It looks gross but I can now clearly hear with my left ear. One mistake that I made was to be too gentle with squirting the water into my ear. Once I became a bit more confident and pressed more firmly, the wax started to come out.
The price seems a lot for what you get, especially as the manufacturing costs will be pennies, but since it worked, I’m happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWorks well. I bought this along with the ear drops.
Only criticism is only fill the plunger half way as its difficult holding a bowl under my ear with one hand whilst with the other hand holding the syringe in my ear and pushing the plunger in .
Product works well thought. I haven’t been able to hear properly in my left ear for months. After a couple of days of ear drops then syringing my ears all the wax blocking my ear canal came out.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI had been to the pharmacy for micro suction at a cost of 65 for both ears. Despite using olive oil for several days, only one ear could be cleared of wax. The other ear was completely compacted. The advice was to use sodium bicarbonate drops and olive oil spray on alternate days for ten days with the hope that the wax would break down and soften enough to come out by itself. Otherwise it would mean another 45 to clear that ear.
Within a day, the softened wax had obviously expanded or moved resulting in no hearing at all in that ear. I used the drops for 6 days before getting desperate and decided to use this syringe.
It took about 5 syringes of warm water before enough wax had dislodged for me to be able to hear. I am sure there is still more in there so I will continue with the drops for another 4 or 5 days before trying again. As you can see, the dislodged wax is disgusting. No wonder I couldn’t hear.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersApologies for the photo but showing you evidence of how good it is and that’s only a small part that came out my ear!
Had a blocked ear after stupidly putting a ear bud down there to remove some annoying wax. I then put in olive oil for 3/4 days, did nothing. Tried otex hydrogen peroxide for a few more days after that, nothing. Getting desperate as couldn’t hear out my right ear at all which was making social situations difficult and also struggling to work at times. Saw the amazing reviews for this product so was hoping it would work. Tried continuously for one day and it only got a few specks out, hearing probably got worse. And then today I gave another go in the morning, not working. Put some more hydrogen peroxide in, let it fizz for a few minutes and then blasted again with this syringe and then it just all kept coming out. Must have been a stubborn piece which finally dislodged. I can hear so well now it’s an amazing relief.
    A few tips:
Use olive oil/hydrogen peroxide for a few days to soften the wax
Don’t be afraid to push the tip into your ear, it doesn’t go far at all. For the first day I just held it against the ear as I thought it would block any wax coming out. However there is room around the syringe tip for the wax to glide out.
Take breaks, it can make you a bit dizzy if you do it for too long
Give the syringe a bit of pressure, I was squeezing it out so slowly at the start the water pressure was bad. Don’t squirt it with lots of force otherwise you could damage your eardrum but enough it can move some lodged ear wax out your ear.
Be patient! You might have to give it a few days until it works, keep trying alongside using your drips and you’ll get there.
    Good luck!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Did the job!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI have been using Cotten buds to clean my ears for years without any problem until one day when I used it I blocked my ear. I struggled to hear for days and started using olive oil in the hope that the wax would naturally come out. After a week of not hearing I started to get headaches and got sinus. I was seriously fed up and then came across this when someone advised me to consider syringing my ears. I really didn’t fancy going to the doctors or making an appointment with a nurse as I wasn’t expecting to get an appointment anytime soon and the hassle. I read the reviews on this syringe and I told myself that if this works it would take a good few attempts so I will need to make several attempts. By now I had used olive oil morning and night for 5 days. I used warm water and it felt like it took 2 syringe fills to completely fill my ear canel. Bear in mind water starts spurting out of the ear almost straight away ( or that’s what it felt like) and I made sure I kept a towel.around my neck, but you still get wet. I did it over a sink and used 2 hands to have better control. The water gushed out of my ear while I was syringing bent over a sink and when the gushing water lessened, I stood up straight and heard what felt and sounded like an air bubble pop and a lump of wax fell into sink. I couldn’t belive the size and how soft it was ( which would have been the olive oil I had been using) and yes I could hear again. I couldn’t belive how easy it was and how good the warm water felt going into my ear ( felt quite soothing). I did my other ear just cos it felt good but there wasn’t any wax in that ear. So this is definitely worth getting but I think it only worked straight away for me unlike some of other reviews because I had softened the wax by using olive oil for several days. By the way the different coloured tips I beleive are so that different family members have their own tips and not related to any speed of flow etc

I have had blocked ears intermittently for years now and after a serious ear infection from using another product that involved sticking things in my ear I decided to try this.
A few things i will say, you do not pay a lot for this, the reason is its 3 rubber heads and a syringe, however i do think its worth it…just..
The instructions are absolutely tiny, I know packaging and waste is a thing now , but seriously the text for the instructions looks like it was written by a hobbit.
Luckily they are simple enough, fill syringe with lukewarm water and spray into ear…simple, i did this while in the shower as it made more sense to me than doing it over a bucket or washing up bowl etc.
I used the syringe about 5 times in each ear, changing up the temperature, thinking that maybe warmer water would make the wax more maleable and come out easier, i am not sure it did as i couldnt really see what was going on, the results when i got out of the shower were great, i genuinely thought it had done the job, my ears seemed clearer for the first time in weeks and I was genuinely surprised and happy, however 3 hours later my ears blocked again, now this could be down to wax re-hardening, or not being removed,or the product just not doing what was said it would do.
I have used this 3 r 4 times and infortunately for me it has not worked, I do however feel that this will work for a lot of people, its simple, chaeap , and an alternative to sticking things in your ear, as my doctor said to me when giving me painkillers for my last ear infection – “The only thing you should stick in your ear is your elbow!”
Basically, dont stik things n your ear,I dont get paid to do reviews and i bought this product because they offered a full money back gurantee if i was not satified, I am not going to claim that because i think my ears are cleaner because of this, but I may just have a continual blockage due to a medical reason, so i continue on my journey to solve what causes it 🙂
good luck to everyone who tries this product.

Having seen a nurse at a walk in centre who said the wax was really compacted, but she couldn’t do anything, I was recommended this by a friend. I loaded the syringe 4 or 5 times and nothing came out, so I put olive oil in and left it over night. On the 2nd syringe little bits came out, then wow!! It was incredible!! I love this. Occasional suffer of ear wax that gets stuck and blocks my ears and can take days to clear. I have bought Sodium bicarb and Olive oil drops to clear it and they are all slow working, taking days and a real pain to use. This just does the job and you are done. Forget your candles or your drops, buy this, fill the syringe with warm water in sink or even in shower. Stick it in your ear and squirt, it blasts a bit out each time, its not painful, perhaps a little uncomfortable, but not when compared to a blocked ear! Repeat as necessary until blockage has gone. Takes perhaps 4-10 squirts depending on level of the blockage, but this is Amazing and works every time. No more suffering and getting annoyed because I cannot hear what people are saying to me. I only use it if my ears get blocked and it work everytime.

Decently made, simple but effective. I’ve had problems with blocked ears for many years, my ear canals are tiny (I am told), and so I have to work hard to prevent issues. I’m so relieved to find this method works when my ears get completely blocked.

You need to work out what is comfortable for you when using this – for example it recommends lukewarm water but this is too cold for me, I need quite warm water, otherwise i get discomfort and a tiny bit of dizziness and the wax won’t shift. I had to try a few times, with breaks and drops in-between, to get enough results to clear my ear, but i did manage it in one evening.

I find using it over the sink while kneeling, and pulling the shell of my ear back a little while inserting worked best. I am going to continue using this kit to prevent issues in future, so maybe I can even wear headphones again without causing blocks.

Definitely recommend trying it, be careful and go slowish to avoid hurting yourself, and it will work once you find the right angle/method and give it a few goes.

I’m too embarrassed to upload a picture of the results but basically this works wonders for anyone with waxy ears.

I was told by my G.P that my ears were blocked after too long using cotton buds.

The surging enables you to basically jet wash your ears!!

As the other reviewers state – be careful not to plunge the water into your ear too fast. Damage your ear drum and it’s game over.

I held a dish under my ear and was shocked at the amount of wax that fell out my ears. No wonder I struggled to hear my wife ask me to put the bins out?!!!

I have since had my ears cleared at a private clinic and will use my trusty syringe to keep on top of the manky wax issue.

Oops. After weeks of poor hearing, and failed ear drops, I resorted to this. After 100 syringes, over two days, finally something dislodged. And it didn’t look organic. Wait, is that cotton wool?!

Yes it was. I recall using it as an earplug one night, lesson learnt.

    This syringe works, excellent product.

Also, I didn’t know I enjoyed seeing pictures of ear wax until I saw the reviews for this syringe. Better than pimple popping any day.

My results are not as gory as some, but there’s a fair bit of cotton wool in there too. Delightful!

I can hear colours! (After 100 syringes)

My ear was so blocked it was causing me head aches and ear ache. I booked in with the dr to have my wax removed but I was in so much destress I decided to try this before that day came. I am SO glad that I did. I applied olive oil in my ear for 2 days in a row. Fill this with luke warm water, put it in your ear as far as feels comfortable. Squeeze the water into your ear not too fast not too slow, make sure your head is tilted over the sink that is where the wax will fall out. Do it LOADS of times. Little tiny bits will come out first. Don’t think it’s not working. Keep at it!! This took me about 10 minutes to clear my entire ear. Loads more came out than this but I rinsed it down the drain. I am SO impressed with this product! I have a camera I use this to look into my ear, here you can see a before and after picture bare in mind that after picture was taken a few days after clearing my ear with this. Thank you so much, this is a must have!

    FANTASTIC!

Disgusting what came out of my ears, for days it has been like I was wearing my crash helmet in the house so used wax softener for a couple of days and ordered this for next day, worked that well I bet the amazon driver wasn’t at his next drop before I could hear a sparrow fart at 50 yards, can turn the TV down now happy days, very easy to use just warm water and the sink, instructions are printed tiny but used my phone to magnify. Better than a trip to the doc and cheap as chips

I was abit unsure of this product after reading the reviews but it worked a treat! Would recommend. Only downside is it’s abit messy and left my ear a little sore but it really did what was needed.

Whoever invented this product needs a Nobel prize.
I had previously tried different methods such as olive oil, sodium bicarbonate ear drops, cerium oil and otex express ear dropsAll a waste of time and money. My left ear had wax built up on the inside and I could barely hear, I also had a buzzing sound that was so uncomfortable and got worse at night or whenever I would speak, I couldn’t even work efficiently being that what I do involves speaking to people on the phone. After almost a month of being deaf in one ear I came across this syringe, I decided to give it a go as my last option. I read the positive reviews before purchasing although I wasn’t sure if it would work in my case. It arrived the next day, I quickly read the how to use leaflet it came with and proceeded to follow the instructions as indicated. When I tell you, not only is it easy to use, IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!! I didn’t have to try too many times, it took literally 4 minutes, the ear that was filled with stubborn wax was unblocked instantly. I heard better than I had heard before, it felt as if I had an inbuilt microphone, I could hear the smallest pin drop I’m not joking, I also enjoy listening to music better.
Seriously if you have blocked ears due to wax build up please get this product, you will save yourself a lot of frustration and discomfort.
It was worth every penny and I’m super happy!!!!!

I was about to make an appointment to get my ear shringed as I’d lost all hearing in one of my ears but thought I’d give this product a go before doing so.
I used the syringe c10-15 times which removed quite a lot of wax however I didn’t get my hearing back straight away. 15-20 minutes after use my hearing started to return, I think all the wax had cleared but I’d blocked my ear with water ! After about an hour my full hearing had returned.

My ear is a little sore but that’s because I applied the syringe too many times, my advise is be patient!

Great product and I’d 110% recommend it.

I’d suffered with absolutely zero hearing in my left ear for almost a week after putting ear plugs in. Struggled to drive, struggled to work and was just miserable in general. I tried olive oil, tried Otrex and just swishing the shower head in my ear but non of them did a thing. I was at the verge of sticking my dremel down there when I found this on Amazon
The first squirt and the sink looked like someone had peeled a mango in the there. By the third squirt I could hear crackling and gurgling, by the 5th my hearing was back better than it was before . Oh god what a relief it was.. genuinely brilliant feeling and so happy

I have been suffering with itchy ears and wax build-up for a long time, and every so often I would have to pay 100 for microsuction, with the specialist taking out huge plugs of black, hard wax. Knowing that I could tell the deafness was coming back and the odd bits of wax coming out, I felt it was time for another appointment. However, I thought I would try to do-it-myself first to save a bit of cash. I bought one of the ear cameras first as I wanted to see inside the ear. What I saw was awful and, even though I could dig a bit out, I was scared of damaging my eardrum. So I bought this syringe to help. It’s easy to use with simple instructions. But, it does take time. I did my right ear first, with a towel around my neck and my head over a basin. The first few goes, nothing much happened, but after doing this for around 10 minutes a huge lump came out! That horrible black plug! On to my second ear, and it took the same amount of time, with another lump coming out. I was chuffed! After, I got my ear camera and, low and behold, I could see my beautiful little grey ear drum. Success! Worth every penny.

I wear hearing aids, and build up of wax is a perennial problem. During the pandemic, getting appointments with a nurse to remove wax is difficult, so I thought I’d have a go at clearing the wax myself, using this syringe.
First I used Otex Olive Oil ear drops for 3 days morning and evening to soften the wax.
    (I bought this:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010O26AXE/https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010O26AXE/)
And then I used the Ear Wax Remover Syringe kit.
The syringe was very easy to use; but I confess I was surprised by just how effective it was.
I am very happy to recommend it. A great product!
(Do read the instructions — and don’t syringe your own ears if you have existing ear-drum damage, ear infection, or other condition that the instructions mention.)

My hubby had gone deaf due to wax build up and continued use of cotton buds, waiting time is ridiculous for audiology so thought we’d give this a try! Wasn’t sure at first, not a lot happened, but we persevered and after the third time his ears cleared completely, it was amazing!! I’ve bought one of these for everyone in the family and told them to throw the cotton buds away!! If you have impacted wax, I would also say use olive oil for at least 4/5 days it helps loads. Also, the water does go everywhere so wrap a towel round your shoulders, it won’t all hit the jug that’s supposed to catch it, small price to pay for being able to hear though, great little device for a great price!

Disclosure – I have never left a review for a product before.

I have had problems with my left ear ever since 2015. I just thought it was down to an injury whilst surfing (ear smacked the water and pressure felt like it ‘popped’) and for years it has just felt full. I had tried drops but no effect. Just made it worse. Made my hearing go for a few days and pressure felt worse etc. So my left ear went bad again the other day, started aching too. Hearing poor. Again tried drops, made it even worse. Then went for the dreaded cotton bud. I must have pushed something in because my hearing completely went in the one ear. Horrendous 24 hours. Luckily this arrived this morning. 6 full squirts in the ear and a load of stuff came out. No pain or discomfort at all. Instantly my hearing feels like HD in my left ear to the point it feels better than my ‘good’ right ear.
Brilliant, simple and safe if you ask me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOver lockdown ear syringing was not available on the NHS. I spent 3 months waiting with a blocked ear, unable to hear out of it. I then took things into my own hands.

It was go private or search for another solution. Enter Amazon.

This has glowing reviews and DOES work.

I inserted this into my ear and gently gave the plunger a squeeze. Nothing. I tried again and a little wax came out. I then began to squeeze a little harder and a few minutes later another few bits of wax came out.

All in all it took about 15 minutes and a wet counter top to get my hearing back. I can honestly say this is the best 8 I have ever spent. It does work and it seems safe as long as you use it correctly.

I have had problems with my ears for years. I was having to go to my GP once a year for ear irrigation to remove stubborn wax from my ears. I would develop a constant ringing in my ears and, eventually, blockages that would come and go in both ears. I have spent the last month sleeping with my head upright so I didn’t block my ears by laying down. Nightmare.

Ear irrigation is no longer a free of charge service provided by the NHS so I have had to find an alternative means of removing the wax without paying Specsavers 55 to do it for me.

I heard about this product from some family members who had used it successfully in the past so thought I’d give it a go. I’m a bit nervous about doing things to my ears at home so was apprehensive at first and worried I might cause some sort of permanent damage to my ears.

I followed the instructions but did not use the ear drops or olive oil beforehand as I have used these before and they just send me deaf.

I used tepid to mildly hot water and within three or four squirts, this beasty lump of wax shot out of my left ear and all of a sudden I could hear everything in surround sound. I repeated the same thing on my right ear and, after a little more difficulty, two equally sized lumps of wax came out and my hearing is back to normal.

I have locked this product in the safe with my passports and other important stuff because I will definitely be needing this again. It really is an amazing product! 55 at Specsavers?! No way. Not when I can get this for 7! Unbelievable!

    Unbelievable, amazing!! Buy this product!!

I rarely leave reviews but I felt I had to for this product. I have been having issues with blocked ears for the last 6 months or so and its been making me miserable, the doctors were unable to help and i had to pay 80 to have them cleared at a nearby clinic.

I thought I would try a home option like a syringe and its been an absolute revelation! The syringe is smaller that it appears in the image but actually an idea size. The real key is the clever nozzle shape, aside from that its a standard syringe really. The 3 nozzles supplied are all the same but they fit in the ear really well and allow for both water to go in and also holes to allow water back out with the debris.

The first time i used it I applied some drops the day before to soften the wax and my ear was a goopy mess as a result. I used lukewarm plain water and filled the syringe and inserted the nozzle in my ear and pressed the plunger and its a pleasant sensation as the jets swirl water around.

After 10 or so repeats the water in the sink was full of flakes of wax and my ear was clear! I’m actually now using the syringe daily to keep my ears free of debris and bacteria and its genuinely the best money I have ever spent. My hearing is perfect and both ears totally clear for the first time in ages.

    So simple and effective.

I contacted my GP as I had done before, only to be told ear syringing was now no longer available on the NHS, I had had the procedure a few few years ago. I was then referred to a private hearing specialist and told it would be 40 for one ear or 60 for both. I knew from experience that I had to use medical Olive oil to soften the wax as I had done before, twice a day for a week. My ear had been blocked for over two weeks now so I decided to look on Amazon and I bought this syringe for 8 delivered the next day. Used it as instructed over the sink and after about six goes and bits of wax coming out, hey presto there it was, out came the wax plug from Hell ! In summary this is a fantastic piece of kit, does the job , no recurrent after effects or sore ear ( otitis) reusable, no hesitation in recommending. IT DOES THE Job efficiently and at least cost, brilliant and I am now instantly hearing in stereo once again, not mono. HIGHLY and genuinely RECOMMENDED !!

This product is great. It’s not an instant fixmore like a processbut if you stick with it, you will get amazing results. I won’t ‘gross you out’ by showing you what has come out of my ears but I can tell you that it was disgustingly satisfying 🙂
I used Otex Express Ear Drops for 3 days before I tried this product, but I didn’t get anything out of my ears on my first attempt. Used more drops then had a go the following night.
At first I thought that it hadn’t worked again, so I dried my ears off and forgot about it. About 10 minutes later I felt loads of wax coming out of my ear. The first piece looked like a mini comet. So gross, but so satisfying.
This product really works. If it’s not working for you, just be patient. The second time I used ‘slightly hotter’ water. Just fill the sink up and try 4 or 5 times in each ear. Easy to use. Just saved myself about 50 as my GP doesn’t syringe ears any more and I would have had to get it done privately. Would definitely recommend. Go for it 🙂

This syringe kit really does work, though you may need several applications. I had a blocked ear for a week and had used drops to soften the wax (sodium bicarbonate, but I’d have been better using olive oil or sunflower oil, as I did eventually). When the syringe arrived I used it straightaway and was a little disappointed that my ear didn’t clear, though it felt a little better. After a couple more applications, with oil drops in between, I began to feel an improvement, and when I syringed again next morning my ear cleared completely. So, delighted with the product and recommend it highly — beats trying to get a GP appointment or paying 60+ to have your ear hoovered clean at a private clinic.

Oh my goodness, I can hear again! My left ear drum had wax sitting on it which completely messed up my hearing – gp suggested olive oil drops. Could not handle the olive oil clogging my ear up even more so I ordered this along with Otex.

I resisted the urge to use this first and decided to give Otex a chance.. 2nd night of Otex and I was restless! Ear felt even more blocked than before! At 1.30am I got to work with this beauty first use of the syringe i regained my hearing again! but nothing glorious could be seen in the sink? I knew they were still swimming in my ear! Around 8-10 more full syringes of luke warm water and lo and behold.

Absolutely disgusting, I know but I now join this small community of wax uncloggers and hearing appreciaters. Honestly, it’s amazing how much can get stuck in such a small canal!

The reviews really helped me to buy & the also pluck up the courage to use this so I’m hoping my review will help someone too! Could not recommended this piece of plastic enough!

I don’t normally review products but had to comment on this because it worked so well. Having had a blocked ear for the best part of a week I tried an off the shelf olive oil ear wax softener which cost about the same as this but did nothing. I was sceptical whether this would work (the packaging says “This is not a medical device” – what is it I wonder – a toy?) but 2 mins and a couple of squirts from the syringe later my hearing was back to 100% normal (with noises suddenly startlingly loud and clear!). The clever part of this product is the nozzles which are perfectly designed to spray oblique jets of water to completely clear all wax through irrigation channels in the nozzles. Use in the shower for best results.

Really REALLY impressed! It works and is so effective and easy to use. I’ve never really had an issue previously with ear wax build ups but woke up 3 days ago deaf in my left ear. No amount of hot water dribbled in or olive oil was shifting it. So annoying. Bought this based on reviews and I can’t fault it. Second attempt, I “sucked up” a great lump of (admittedly gross!) ear wax, no wonder I couldn’t hear. Really great product, I also used it in conjunction with an ear oil product called EAROL which is great as softens the wax first, then I used quite warm water and bingo.job done, I can hear perfectly and the birds are tweeting so loudly!! Don’t hesitate, this product is amazing, it works so well.

So I bought some otex ear drops and this syringe with the hopes of clearing my blocked ear because its been giving me trouble. I thought I’d have to use the drops for a week but figured I’d try this out anyway.

Followed the instructions, fill the syringe with lukewarm water, stick it in the ear and blast away.

What a mess, absolutely disgusted with what came out but so satisfying at the same time. My ears have never been this clean, it sorted the problem out straight away! Compacted ear wax begone, didnt even hurt.

100% recommend this, just do it over the sink because it does make a mess if your ears are as waxy as mine were. Just know it does take a few tries to get some stubborn wax out but you’ll know when it comes out.

I was able to clear my blocked ear using this device. I did not experience the dizziness reported by some users.

I am not a nurse, but this is what I did. I boiled the kettle and allowed the water to cool from boiled to 40.5 C. I read on a nurses PDF that the optimum temperature is between 37.5 C and 40.5 C. I would certainly not use water any hotter than that.

This requires some patience to use, you may have to put many syringes of water through your ear. I would not try to put the thing in too far. Have patience. Don’t try to use excessive force on the syringe plunger to get more pressure, you can bruise your ear canal. You will need softener drops. I was impatient so I used hydrogen peroxide drops to get it done in 2 days.

Once the water gets behind the wax plug your are very close. A couple more squirts and it should come out. Once the wax plug is loose your hearing is restored you should discontinue use and fish it out. This syringe doesn’t have the high capacity of the doctors ear syringe, so it will take longer. What do you want for 8 quid?
With a little patience, care and diligence you can clean your ears using this.

Roughly every 5 years one or both of my ears get blocked with wax. I don’t know why, but my mother also had the same problem, so I presume it’s a genetic thing. Up till now, I simply visited my doctor (on the NHS) and it was sorted. But alas things have changed, and that part of the health service is now in private hands (the NHS really is being sold off in a series of tiny cuts like this – it started with prescriptions, then certain previously prescribed drugs were sold through chemists).

I discovered this only when I phoned my surgery and was told to try a famous high street brand – would love to tell you who, but you can find out easily enough. I called them and they quoted me 55 – but, there was a six week waiting list and I had to visit them first so they could check out my hearing.

Ten minutes after that call I searched Amazon and saw this ear syringe with all those reviews. I didn’t think for one second this would work (after all, why would anyone have the cheek to charge 55 for something like this if it could be fixed in 2 minutes with a cheap syringe).

So I bought it anyway since I had no choice (it’s not fun when you lose half your hearing and no one can help).

It arrived this evening, 6 tubes full of water later, a large marble sized blob of wax came out and my hearing was back to normal.

But there’s one vital thing I did before all this (when I thought I could still visit my GP and have it done). I spent the previous 2 weeks putting 4 or 5 drops of olive oil in my ear morning and night (because that’s what previous doctors had told me to do before coming in to have them cleaned out).

If I hadn’t done that, the wax would have been so hard, only a trained nurse could have removed it. Of that I’m certain.

Anyway, back to the syringing. I found it super important to use lukewarm water (skin temperature), I had to warm the water up a little because of slight dizziness after a few goes when the water wasn’t warm enough (probably just as bad with water that’s too hot too) – the instructions did point this out I have to say.

The thing I loved was that it was me controlling the pressure. But I didn’t need to worry because the water is sprayed to the side of the ear canal and not directly at the back of it. As a result, I applied more and more pressure on the plunger and at first a few tiny flecks came out, then a larger piece, and finally a much larger piece (the olive oil had really softened it – I’m convinced it’s a vital part of this process).

My hearing returned immediately – there was no delay once the blockage had been removed. Bliss.

I genuinely never review anything on amazon and i buy ALOT. But I couldn’t not write about this. Ive had trouble with ear blockages, pain and hearing loss frequently for the past 6 months. Dr said i had a build up of wax in my ears and id need to oay to get syringed. I had a really bad experience of hearing loss and blocked ear in my left wear where i was unable to hear for 6 days! I tried various oils and water sprays and nada. Thinking id need to spend 50 that i didnt have on syringing i took to google when this came up! I read the reviews and it seemed too easy to be true. But i thought one last attempt before i see a professional. It arrived next afternoon and straight away i had it cleaned and set up. Using a pan of warm water i started on my effected ear. For about 4 sprays nothing seemed to be happening, then suddenly i started noticing small brown particles in the bath, it was ear wax!! The more sprays the more came loose. It was super gross yet super satisfying. After about 15 plunges of water my hearing suddenly came back and the blocked feeling left. I continued syringing till nothing else cAme out that ear. The photo is from just one ear (i know i am gross). I did the second ear which wasnt AS bad but still not great! Now im blockage and pain free and can hear perfectly again. Best 9 i ever spent!

    Fabulous little tool!

Needed to find something to syringe my blocked ear, and what better than a syringe. Tried the tool with the spiral silicone head….did absolutely nothing, so after using olive oil for weeks and no change, I bought this. I’ve gotta tell you, after a few syringes of warm water and small particles of wax in the sink, I got a large lump of disgusting dark brown wax come out, this thing really works, and saves you the average fee of 50 per ear at your local ear specialist. So now I can hear properly again, I would definitely recommend this product.

I was unable to get to my GP, they’re not doing ear syringe at the moment because of Covid. I was desperate as the wax was making my hearing aids whistle and driving me mad so I bought this syringe. I was very impressed with the results. It got all my wax out once I’d discovered how to insert the tip properly into my ear.

If you have ear wax problems PLEASE buy this product and ALWAYS use oil drops for at least four days beforehand. Follow all the information given in the pack and you’ll be fine.

I wanted my hearing back pronto because didn’t want the added stress during and after labour. Found this product on Amazon and ordered it. It came the next day. I kept on applying olive oil drops too and used this as soon as I got it. I am always very suspicious of things claiming to be medical wonders. However, with no reservations I can say that as a professional record producer I do need to keep my ears as tip top as possible. I have therefore had them syringed and various other means bot privately and with the NHS. This 8 pound item gets EXACTLY the same result as private audiologists treatments costing ten times as much PER EAR and it’s fully re-usable next time. No special liquids. It works on warm water. It’s easy, it’s quick, does the job and my days of being told to put Olive Oil in my ear for 2 weeks before the syringing are over. Took me 15 mins to fully do both ears. Disadvantages? I wet my hair a little. if you’re reading this, buy the thing

Very helpful and straightforward piece of kit. I cannot imagine myself using it every day as it takes some time and care, so perhaps it’s best to combine it with cotton buds (buds for superficial cleaning and the syringe for a deep irrigation inside the ear) despite the fact the manual inside this syringe kit talks about cotton buds as if they’re the worst thing ever invented.

It also takes some practice to find the sweet spot with this syringe, and it takes multiple passes in each ear to really get gunk pushed out in all four directions. Overall I am happy with this kit. Smooth and no discomfort.

It took me a while to reduce my earwax and restore my hearing, firstly in my right ear and then my left — which blocked just as I’d cleared my right. After following NHS advice about oil drops, I was a little too tentative with the device in my right ear getting nothing out until day 3 (a few little cream flakes — my wax was cream and newly produced), rather more on day 4 (about 30 larger flakes) and a bonanza on day 5 with hearing restored. With my left ear I used oil drops for 2 days then had a few flakes on day 3 and a bonanza plus hearing on day 4. I am delighted that this DIY method worked so well and am grateful to other reviewers for their helpful reviews.

I’ve always suffered with waxy ears, a couple of years ago I went snorkelling in Thailand and when I came out of the water I was completely deaf. I had my ears syringed and realised that I’d never been able to hear properly, I heard parts of songs I’d never realised were there and also that I am extremely loud when I talk haha.

After coming back to the U.K, around a year later I realised things weren’t great again. It was going to cost 100 to get them cleaned again and my GP said they don’t do it anymore so I bought this.

Absolutely brilliant, once you’ve worked out the best angle it’s a painless and easy process. I use it once a year to flush my ears out, takes me only 10 minutes or so per ear. If you’re suffering with blocked ears, this is a cost effective and brilliant solution.

I was prescribed olive oil ear drops but after 2 weeks there was no difference and I was getting frustrated because of how blocked and deaf I was. I was desperate to try anything else and was suggested this by someone so I thought why not. I ordered it yesterday, it arrived today and I gave it a go straight away since I’d already been using ear drops. Well I cried with happiness because I got my hearing back!! It took several attempts for anything to come out but it eventually did and now its like I have HD hearing! It was so easy to use and I’m so thankful it worked and saved me 55!!

This product is amazing! Been suffering with this problem a few months now. I knew there was a build up of wax because some mornings I would wake up with a sticky feeling in my right ear and it would take a moment for it to clear. I tried to see a doctor but getting an appointment was a pain in the ass so I checked out the good reviews for this item and ordered. I did use some ear drops from the pharmacy for 2 days to soften the wax. This took away my clear hearing in that ear, which was annoying. Then I tried this out. First attempt didn’t remove so much but loads of tiny bits did come out. I did it again a couple hours later and this time some disgusting chunks fell out. I could start to hear again in that ear. I then went to bed and when I woke next morning I couldn’t hear again. So I did it a third time and a huge piece of wax fell out! It was so disgusting but so satisfying at the same time. I could hear again!! Would recommend but be patient with it and use something to soften the wax prior to syringing.

I bought this product because I have noticed my hearing getting a little distorted over the last 2 years. When I first used it, I got water stuck in my ears and wasn’t able to get it out all day. I thought the product did the opposite of what it was supposed to. However, I put some ear cleaning drops into my ear, and then proceeded to use the syringe again, this time I decided to just keep squirting until something happens.

After about 20 squirts an awesome amount of war wax came flooding out, and I was amazed at how much better I could hear. Over the last two years I’ve had issues whenever I went swimming with water getting stuck in my ears, and now I know why. It actually worked really well and I’m very happy with the purchase

So simple, but soooooo good!!!! Never realised I could hear so good since I tried this. I’ve been near death in one ear for years, went to the doctors to get them syringed, worked in one ear, the other was just how it is and thought it was damaged. Not now though, my hearing is so sharp, I’m hearing sounds around the house I’ve never heard. Keep thinking the pans sizzling or something but all it is is my clothes rustling. Absolutely amazed!! Took a bit of persistence, ie been syringing over a couple of days, bits were coming out, then at work today I realised I could hear air through my ear, so got home, gushed it out and not even joking, I reckon I could of filled a shot glass that much came out followed by a piece of material. Must of been the route cause. Wish I took pictures of it after seeing other reviews but didn’t cross my mind lol. Thank you

I was sceptical about this product, could it possibly work? But needs must, my 90 year old father was deafer and deafer in his only ‘good’ ear, his hearing aid made no difference and due to the wax build up was giving horrendous feedback, in a Covid world a trip to the GP practice was not an option!
I am a retired GP and was able to examine dad with an auriscope, his wax was hard and impacted. It’s ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL to SOFTEN the wax with otex or similar, he applied the drops x3/day for 3 days. I then used this product, it could not be easier. It took 3 attempts to remove ALL the wax and restore his hearing, confirmed by auriscope. Obviously being able to examine dad properly AND having a lot of experience of doing in- surgery syringing I had an advantage but I was impressed by this product. I also feel there is a negligible chance of a ear drum perforation, although like all other forms of ear syringing there will still be some risk of post procedure otitis externa. It could not be easier to use- follow the simple instructions and oil before using
My only reservation is that I was able to confirm dads deafness was 100% due to wax by a proper exam, which most people would not be able to.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad a problem with one of my ears for a few weeks, was really itchy started losing my hearing on that side, my ear was going tingly and numb, red and hot while the other stayed cold. The side of my head even started feeling odd like id had a local anastetic. Had been using otex express and it wasn’t helping long term I think it was making it worse. Started using olive oil and still wasn’t really getting better. Went to see a nurse who confirmed full of wax not infection or damage. Said they can’t help me any more on the NHS and recommended I get something off Amazon. Ordered straight away 30 hours later I can hear again! I used a camera probe I have to look in my ear the photo below is the before and after is above.

Did each ear a dozen times maybe and bits just kept coming out, not massive bits like other have photos of but a good few mm’s each and lots of them. Kept going till the water was clear. Got my shirt wet and I was alittle dizzy with pretty warm water but well worth it. Wish I’d brought it a week earlier.

    Don't wait to buy it.
