Have bought Merrell before, and know they fit, are comfortable, and hard wearing. First walk in these was 8 miles, and were comfortable every step. The vibram soles have been great before, my last pair did almost 800 miles before they wore through, so am hoping for the same again.
Great lightweight boot, that the new owner was really happy with for travelling. Prices vary on cotswold, Blacks and other well known outdoor shops and but amazon offered next day delivery and free return if not suitable. Rexommended.

I have Mortons Neuroma in my left foot and heel pain and hallux rigidus in both, and I’m in a new EU country trying to navigate the health system, so until I can find a specialist to figure out correct orthotics, I have bought these based on the reviews (I also Googled for reviews and read ones in hiking magazines and on sports websites). I like to walk a lot but haven’t done more than 3-4km for a long time due to foot pain and attendant psychological misery at the thought of it. My left foot is 23cm long, right is 24, so going by a walker’s size guide I added 15mm to each and came up with a size 40 (EU). They are a bit larger than expected but with my Bridgedale socks and FootActive sports insoles (very good) there is only a small amount of movement for my left foot, and the right is snug. I have only walked on gravel and earth paths with no drastic angles so can’t give an opinion on how this small shift inside affects stability yet.
The toe box on these is perfect for the Mortons Neuroma, can barely feel it now after three weeks of wearing these, and whilst I have experienced some heel pain I can now walk much further, going on my first 7km walk the other day with only mild discomfort for about an hour afterwards. I did, however, wear these all day yesterday whilst working in the barn on woodwork projects and after 8 hours and 15,000 steps in total, my feet were sore, but nothing like before.
I must also point out I am about 10kgs overweight so this is of course also a factor. I expect my foot pain to reduce drastically once I’ve achieved my goal weight.
In summary, these are VERY comfortable boots, look lovely, can be used on long walks right out of the box, and my feet feel very supported in all the places where I historically felt pain almost right away. My only gripe is that the laces are thin and slippy so it’s trickier to keep the tension when doing them up as they slide out of the pre-knot by a few mm making the final knot looser than preferred, but you just have to over-tighten them a smidge to counteract this slippage.
Seriously considering buying another pair as I can see these being used almost daily and think a back up would be wise.
Boots arrived promptly and they were well packed. They are a perfect fit! I have worn them several times since and they are so light. Haven’t tested them in the rain yet.
Literally recommend these to every person I know! Not once have I had blisters, like slippers and so so comfortable! Super light and durable and excellent for any outdoor activity! Literally will not buy anything other than these! So happy with them!!!

Brilliant pair of boots. I followed the advice and went up half a size and it helps. The boots are waterproof and feel very comfortable. If I could change anything than it would be for the insole to be made of fleece. I hope these boots will last for a few years as they are wonderful.

Another great product from Merrell. The boots are comfy and true to size. As they are breathable some wind and cold does get in, particularly if standing still in the snow. But if moving and wearing warm socks the feet warm up without overheating.

Use these boots for hiking. They are comfortable warm and really stylish. They are well padded around the ankles and very supportive, You will be able to cover miles in these, also true to size. Customer service is brilliant. Definitely recommend these boots and this seller.
Had a few pairs on Amazon wardrobe to try and these won. Have had them about 6 months. Did a marathon (walking) in them and wear them for dog walking. Comfortable and waterproof. A good buy.
I have arthritic feet and they have been a godsend.
Good fit with walking socks. I am a size 4 but wear a 5. No slip and waterproof.
I had problems with my knee but the physio said it was my foot throwing my knee out of alignment and she recommended a higher boot that would keep my foot straight, so doing as I was told I looked for boots and through walking I know that Merrill are good, once I had settled on these boots we then looked at the price on the Merrill site there was only 10% off the original price of 130, so these are a good price. I am a standard 6 on advice from hubby I ordered a 6.5 and they are perfect with my thermal socks, one boot seemed to be making a creaking noice but I have just done a 4 mile walk and they are brilliant, comfy, absolutely superb, I am a very happy bunny and so are my feet and the noise has disappeared too.
I love this walking boots . True to size , perfect fit very comfortable to wear very light ,no pain and no blisters after six miles of walking. Warm and socks was dry even walking in the muddy field and heavy rain.Wearing my boots every Sunday . Happy customer!
Exchanged for a 7 and they are perfect and I’m only wearing thin socks. They are more like a trainer but I wanted a vegan walking boot and this is perfect. So comfy and lightweight, have walked several times in them on different terrains and I’m happy! The front is not wide so if you have wide feet, this may not be for you.
Have not tested in rain yet.
Really pleased with the shoes. Nice and light yet still sturdy, perfect for walks and easy trails. Look really good, more like trainers. Would highly recommend. I’m an 8.5 and bought the 8.5 and they fit perfectly.
Really pleased with these walking boots, im a size 6 with wide feet, i went for the 6.5 and they are great fit, i have been using these 5 times a week and they are comfy and keep my feet dry in long grass, mud and puddles, the boot it self feels wet on the outside when standing in puddles etc but my feet are warm and dry, would recommend to others
****However, I am now 5 months down the line since buying these boots and now they are no longer waterproof, real shame as I find them so comfortable
Perfect, exactly as I hoped they would be. Merrell yet to fail.
