Lots of value here the vac has lots of settings so you can increase suction for different surfaces. Also in low it is super quiet so you can work without disturbing everyone. The cord retract feature is excellent. The hose comes with two big heads one for hard floors one with a spinning brush. Also three useful small tools for crevices /edges and dust on Venetian blinds and furniture. Comes with one disposable bag . Make sure to order a pack of replacement bags . Definitely great for picking up pet hairs etc beats Dyson and Henry and all those battery power hoovers .

Our previous vacuum cleaner was cheap and struggled collecting hair. For these reasons we wanted to try something different and this Miele vacuum cleaner did not disappoint. It is lightweight, the colour is beautiful and it is easy to move around. Suction power and the turbo brush effectively remove all hair from the carpet.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is probably the best hoover I’ve ever had! Binned my dyson as it was nightmare on the stairs, read lots of reviews on various hoovers and I decided on this one, it’s awesome, I can not fault it at all. I have a shoulder injury so weight was a big thing for me. The suction is incredible too. Five stars all the way

I love my Miele vacuum cleaner. It is the best one I have ever had, and I have had a fair few! Love it so much I bought one for my son and he thinks it is great too.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m a professional cleaner and this is my home vac. Love it. I don’t like uprights. This is lightweight, comes with two interchangeable heads, I mostly use the turbo one. I have two cats so fur is an issue but this machine, as small as it is, copes well with everything. Solid and I think worth the money. Bags are a bit pricey but you need to buy genuine bags, as others have said, replica cheap bags are not good.

This is a very powerful cleaner, especially if you have pets. Light and easy to use. Good suction on hard floors as well as rugs and carpets.
Versatile for all types of cleaning.

This hoover comes with two heads and the turbo one is amazing at sucking up cat hairs (my particular area of interest). It is quiet and seems to do an excellent job. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have an original Miele vacuum which is still going strong after more than 12 years. It is very powerful, that vacuum is left upstairs for the fitted carpets. As I have some difficulty now carrying any weight and to save carrying it up and down decided to buy this Miele for downstairs for the wooden floors and rugs. Again it is made well but you wouldn’t expect anything less from Miele. As the rules regarding power useage on domestic products have changed, I was slightly concerned it wouldn’t be as good as my older Miele, however, I am very pleased with the product and expect many years use. I have tried a cordless vacuum (another brand) very disappointed with the results and have decided to stay with corded.

I did have a larger version which I used for years. Along with ageing and downsizing, I tried the new ‘stick’ battery cleaners. I tried two different brands over time and was not happy. Both lacked suction. Yes, they were lightweight and easier to use without the lead but I was not impressed with the results.
I decided on the new, smaller Miele and have not regretted it.

I had a Cordless hoover prior to this which didn’t even last 2 years.
I bought this one and so far it has been FAB.
It sucks so hard it almost pulls up the carpet, the carpets look fantastic once vacuumed with this.
All the attachments fit onto the cylinder, so nothing gets lots.
    Really pleased.

We got this or it’s equivalent 12 years ago in desperation as all our previous vacuum had failed rather quickly. So I can say it’s had a very good run and still going strong. It’s one of the most powerful cleaner I’ve ever used. We have to run it on a lower setting as it’s hard to move on full power. The suction is that strong. The only thing that’s failed is 2 plastic clips, they do not effect it’s operation.
It makes the modern cleaners look silly to be honest. Even the bag less ones.
So I cannot recommend this product more highly. Buy it you will not regret it.

Great hoover! The suction is very powerful when on max and very convenient other settings and heads to hoover different areas. Always hated hoovering, but this one makes it so much easier and faster.

    Best hoover I’ve ever had

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI ordered this because I have a long history with Miele. I can never be persuaded to buy anything else and this has not disappointed me yet again. very powerful, the right number of attachments and to add to boost very light. At age 70 I don’t want to be carting heavy stuff up and down the stairs and I can manage this beautiful machine very well indeed

Having worked with an overpriced Dyson, then a Tax Blade (cheaper but equally poor), I bought this. It is quiet, works extremely well and has a bag so I need not inhale the dust removed with one move (yes, but as it falls in the bin still rises).
Pathetic as it sounds to be so attached to a vacuum cleaner, it is a revelation, even though I have been around long enough…I had one before.

We love this vacuum ,we passed our older model onto our daughter and she is thrilled with it .We are very pleased with this newer model which does an excellent job ,it isn’t quite as lightweight as I expected but for the excellent suction that is not a problem .

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI like this vac really easily put together and all the attachments are stored neatly in the machine. The plug retact is great and the vac pulls along easily. I found it abit heavy when I was taking it upstairs but the rest more than makes up for that and its easier than my upright vac.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usersway better then my previous animal one from dyson that was twice as expensive and was bagless! what I like the most about this hoover is that there is a suction strength you can change and of course it has bag! yes bags! I will never again be conned into buying a bagless hoover ! Emptying the bagless hoover was a nightmare! if you are doing it outcide wind blows it all into your face you swallow most of it, opening it inside would just get dust all over the place and make you clean again! you can’t bin the dust because, it will all fly out when flap close or open ! so I ended up using another whole bin -bag just to emty Dyson bagless container into it and prevent dust from getting all over the place , so what was the point of bagless hover ? My advice get the bags, it is clean and easy and worth every pound you pay for the bag s

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersTo me, it’s nice when home appliances are built for function not for their looks. I don’t keep mine on display! Don’t get me wrong – I think this and it’s larger brother the C3 are quite nice to look at. But having tried out quite a number of compact vacuum cleaners over the years, it’s refreshing when something comes along that is built to do the job first and foremost and where it’s look and understated style are just the icing on the cake.

The suction is impeccable and, as I have never fully been sold on the bagless concept, I would recommend this over most of the bagless competition (I must admit to also really liking some of the Shark products for their ingenious compact design and ability to access all areas). The running costs are a little more, sourcing the Meile branded bags, but not so much as to put me off at all.

The unit moves around after you with good agility, rarely toppling or getting snagged. The cleaning heads just do what they are supposed to do and the whole thing feels built to last and made to keep doing it’s thing after the competition has fallen into brightly coloured pieces. I’m hard to please – I hold the Numatik Henry to be one of the greatest value for money vacuums out there – but if you do have pet hair in the home or allergies then you’ll be glad of just how little dust escapes this hungry little machine. I’ll have to give it a name.

Given the choice of this or the C3, I’d go with the C3 every time – changing bags is a faff and the smaller model needs that quite a lot more often (my physics teachers would remind me that volume scales with the cube of length….!) . If you’re tight on space, the C2 is a little smaller and can be cheaper but they are both excellent and meet their claims admirably.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersSuction much better than our old 1400W Vax even on low settings. However I think it may be quite expensive to run as the main filter needs changing regularly and they are not cheap. The more you use it, which you will if you’ve got a dog, the more it will need changing. Due to this factor I’ve only rated it 4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe’re very pleased with this device. It’s light enough to take upstairs with ease and it adjusts very easily to our differing heights. The cord stowing process is easy and hasn’t tangled yet and the tools are useful and easily changed. For a relatively small vacuum cleaner it has impressive power to suck up dirt.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is a nice light vacuum, and very easy to manoeuvre thanks to 360 degree castors. Its also got an 11m cord so doesn’t need much plugging and unplugging. We have stairs with a landing strip in the middle so I work up to the landing with the unit at the bottom and then the unit on the landing up to the top. The reach isn’t enough to do the stairs fully and if I didn’t have the landing I’d be worried about leaving the unit at the top of the stairs to work down as its so easy to move that it would end up falling down the stairs. I’m used to an upright cyclone and this is a bit of a pain to keep tidied away- the pole clips onto the side of the body and so is a little wide/unwieldy.

The suction on this machine is good and its better than I had expected given its only 890w, and far better than my previous battery operated vacuum, and I’m happy with the results. I hadn’t realised this had a bag when I got it, and was a bit concerned about how frequently I’d need to buy a new bag- given the cost of the item you wouldn’t want to be replacing the bag too frequently. I have to admit I vacuum far less than I should so a bag lasts about 3-4 weeks (we have no pets but I have long hair that falls out a lot).

It has a number of different functions eg upholstery and different floor types but I’m not sure they are all needed, and I found the quiet function actually louder than the normal function. I did notice that this vacuum is so much quieter than any other I’ve used before. Amazon mentions a turbo brush with a rotating roller to remove hair/lint but I didn’t receive one of these and am not sure if this is something that costs extra, or was missed- I have what is a floorhead but there is no rotating part within this. Also included is a upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, and crevice tool.

Overall this is a great, small, lightweight vacuum with more suction than you’d think for it’s size.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOur two lovely Labradors present us with a constant problem, trying to keep the house clean. The muddy paw prints etc are easily dealt with, but the never-ending moulting is difficult to keep on top of. We have to vacuum floors and carpets every day, twice if we are expecting visitors in the evening, and for this I use a bag-less, rechargeable cleaner which is very handy and does a reasonable job, but is not particularly ‘thorough’ so I was delighted to have the opportunity to try this Miele ‘Cat and Dog Powerline Vacuum’.

The first thing I noticed about this cleaner is the quality of the product, as one would expect with the Miele name. Having worked our way through many vacuum cleaners over the years, this one is obviously built to last a good while. The body of the cleaner is fairly light – think of a small weekend case in size and weight – and the telescopic suction tube makes cleaning much less of a back-breaking chore for us tall people and getting into corners of the ceiling, such as over the stair well, is not a problem.

There are many options with this cleaner in that with a flick of the dial one can have a gentle suction, great for cleaning curtains etc or a full-on hard suction to clean floors, as well as everything in between. The whole apparatus is easy and ‘logical’ to use, I have not once looked at any part of it and wondered what on earth it is used for! It manoeuvres around our higgledy-piggledy house well, helped by a generous flex length and the fairly lightweight tube, hose etc.

I really like this machine, dog hairs (and odours) are easily dealt with; it is easy to use; it is a good quality product and, in comparison with anything else we have used in recent years, my house has a ‘just spring cleaned’ appearance for my efforts.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersThis is a fine little vacuum cleaner. Miele products have a good name for reliability – I have had a 2000 series for 5 years or so and it has given excellent, trouble-free service. This appears to be no exception to that. The plastic housing is good quality, and feels robust. The parts all fit together well with satisfying clicks, none seem likely to break soon. This is the same shape as my old S2000 but is about 20% smaller, and has only a 890w motor instead of 1600 on the S2000. Because of the size, it would be ideal for a small house or flat – if you have a larger house, i’d go for a higher capacity model. It’s very light and easy to move around on its robust 360 degree castors. It’s also noticeably quieter than my old model, or indeed any other vacuum that I’ve used. The 890w motor seems to provide enough suction or all purposes. It is sold as a ‘cat & dog’ vacuum, but as I have neither I can’t vouch for that. The telescopic tube takes a little getting used to, but it does allow you to adjust its length to your height, which might be a benefit to smaller people. Another good point is the generous 11 metres of power cord – more than many models. Saves having to swap plugs so often. It is fitted with an activated carbon filter which requires changing every year at a cost of about 16, presumably to deal with pet smells. You can, however, use the basic exhaust filters which come with the packs of bags if you like, but you will have to buy a separate ‘filter cage’ as a one-off if you want to do that (about10). The bags cost about 7 for a pack of 4 (including filters) and are not re-useable. The only minor downside I’ve found is that, for storage, the tube clips onto (either) side, rather than onto the back, which means the ‘footprint’ for storage is actually larger than my S2000.
I can’t complain about the price as I got mine through Vine programme, but as I write this the Amazon price is 280, which seems a lot, even for a Miele.

    Good Points:-
    11m cord
    low-energy but powerful suction
    light and manueverable
manufactured to a high standard, quality materials
    superbly quiet

    Criticisms:-
Tube should clip to back for storage
telescopic tube slightly awkward to get used to
Should be supplied with a filter cage, to give option of not using expensive filters if desired.
    Expensive
