Perfect for pet hai
Really pleased with this, cleans my amtico floor first time on full power, no going over! Also really picks up pet hairs etc on carpetsgets right into the pile, however, I cannot use it on full power as I can’t move it. I only use halfway suction on carpets and It’s like a real workout and I am quite fit! I am sure some people would really struggle.
Not bad but...
I had same model 10 yrs old and I was soooo happy with it, that’s way I bought the same one as I was excited to be the same quality but noting even close
As good as the old one?
Got this after our previous one died at approx 20 years old. I was a bit unsure as the wattage is so much lower now, but needn’t have worried. Still great suction. The flex is even longer than before. Use it with the extra-large parquet head (worth the price) & cover large areas of hard floor easily. Glad I didn’t change to another make……
Brillia
This is the most expensive but by far the best vacuum cleaner I’ve used. Very easy to use, well made and reasonably quiet. It’s almost a pleasure to vac the house!
Excellent for dog hair but very short lives
This is our third Miele cat and dog hoover in 7 years. They are excellent while they last, but they don’t last very long.
I have two large dogs with double coats who shed constantly and use the hoover daily!
They are branded as long lasting and durable, but they last on average two years. Considering this, a little over priced.
With each new hoover I have received less and less in terms of add ons. The first hoover came with a second suction head and spare pipe. The second hoover without the pipe but with the head. This third has come without both.
They are excellent for animal hair and the suction is brilliant. Just don’t expect it to last for a long period like they suggest in their marketing!
Brilliant hoover!
Very happy with this purchase. It’s amazingly quiet, given its suction power. Had some trouble with dust missing the bag inside the hoover and clogging up the filter but I think that was a faulty bag. Would certainly recommend.
Nice hoove
Decent hoover, have had other miele’s in the past so expected more suction, and also there is nowhere for the tools in the actual hoover like other ones I’ve had. Other than that it’s great. Hoovers.
Always wanted one
Absouiltly brilliant, have used a friends before and decided to go for it and really pleased. If you regester the product with Miele you can claime a free pack of bags. Look out for the voucher in the box with the hoover. Came really qickly hope it lasts as long as my friends I think hers is nealy as old and me and still going.
Fantastic
I am still using my Miele I bought around 15 or so years ago, but as I needed one upstairs I bought myself another one. You will not go wrong if you buy one. It also has a turbo head which I find fantastic to get the dog hairs from the carpets. Would I recommend this. Without a doubt!
It’s not quite as good as I’d hoped .
I was hoping that this vacuum would revolutionise my house cleaning . It’s ok but not as manoeuvreable as I’d hoped , the bags are a bit pricey . Still got hair wrapped around the brush bar . Difficult to tell when the bags are full . I miss being able to see the dirt as with my upright dyson and shark .
Which? Best buy for a reaso
Bought as replacement for previous miele that finally died. Did my research and bought this. Does a really good job, so good it lifts the carpet up! Obviously too soon to comment on reliability, but off to a good start.
Brilliant, great suctio
As described, fantastic on hard surfaces.
if you’re looking at carpets/ rugs its probably too powerful and you’ll spend your time altering the suction level.
The best hoover I'ver used!
It took me a while to decide whether to buy this hoover or not, mainly because it is pricier than any other hoover I’ve had buuuut it really is the best I’ve ever used. It stands up for hoovering the stairs as the air vent is situated to the front and has a nuumber of varied programmes which makes it suitable for moving between rugs, carpets and hard floors. Also, the main stick length is adjustable rather than 2 pieces and comes apart with the click of a button which is so much easier than having to pull it apart.
Best vacuum cleaner I’ve bough
Very well made vacuum cleaner. It’s clear from the outset it’s of high quality. Most powerful suction I’ve seen yet very nice and easy to move around. Couldn’t believe how light it was. I find shopping for vacuum cleaners an absolute minefield with people’s experiences often varying greatly but I was fortunate to have this one recommended to me by a family member. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants something light, powerful and durable. Don’t make the mistake of buying something cheaper. From experience it just means you’ll end up being disappointed.
Fabulous new vacuum
Recently purchased a replacement Miele vacuum for our old cat and dog vacuum . The new one is shockingly better with improved manoeuvrability too . The flex also reaches virtually the length of our 1930s home , amazing !
Miele make the best in the world
I had a Miele vacuum prior to this and it sadly died one day but not due to the harsh terrain it had to deal with – 5 adults, a dog, 4 cats, chickens, rabbits and the rest – but because someone forgot to pull out all the cable when using it, it got too hot and blew the engine. And that warning was in the manual, so not Miele’s fault. Our cleaner had battled away and given a stellar result for over ten years. BUT these cleaners are unbreakable if you use them properly and are designed to give 20 years of service which I (and some friends who also have Mieles) can certainly agree with.
The Germans know how to do engines and machinery and Miele are market leaders for a reason. After having bought one I’ll never buy another brand. For the slight increase in cost, overall you’re getting a machine that will last and will never reduce in performance over those years.
So this new to me model was a slight upgrade on my last – and wow. So quiet, even on the highest setting! I haven’t been able to use it at anything higher than the 3rd speed of 6 because the 3rd is giving me so much suction power there’s no need. It reassures me that there’s plenty more power to use should I need it. Fantastic.
It’s not especially light but that to me is a good thing as there’s some serious machinery tucked away inside it and it gives it some solidity to it, so it’s stable and won’t go flying off anywhere on its own. Even with this, you can trust Miele to attach the most smooth and slippery castors so manoeuvrability is top notch. It’s extremely easy to move and with 8.50m of cable length there’s a lot less need to go back and forth to unplug and plug in to different spots around the house. Really useful touch.
This model comes with both a standard head and an amazing turbo head (both suck at full power right up to the edges of their heads unlike some cleaners – so nice to not have to get out the crevice tool for this type of thing!) which I never had before that really beats the carpet with its internal roller head and brings up more dirt, especially hair which can sometimes be hard to get hold of. Cleaning it is a bit of a faff – you have to cut through the hair with scissors to get it off the roller – I think Miele should look at finding a way around this but for now I can live with it. Watch out with the turbo brush though, it literally sucks in everything it gets close to (including your own hair) so don’t raise it off the ground if you use it, Miele warn very clearly about this.
This cleaner also comes with a mini turbo head brush so you can use the same power brush action to lift up dirt on awkward jobs like stairs or carpets in cars and it works exactly the same as the large turbo brush.
Another upgrade for me from my last model is that all the parts are now kept tucked away in the body of the cleaner whereas before they balanced on the outside of it. I really like that. Nice and tidy and accessible.
Finally, Miele have simplified the way the cleaner is used, from the foot operated buttons to switch it on and off, on the opposite side the button to retract the cable (literally one tap will bring the whole length in rather than you having to stand on the button until it’s finished), at a glance lights illuminating which suction level you’re using, the click system to attach heads and extensions, the sliding mechanism to extend the cleaner arm (so easy! so smooth!), even the sliding vent in the arm moves well too. As before the bag replacement operation is a doddle and clean to do (some cleaner manufacturers’ bags give you a puff of dirt as you remove the bag but Miele bags have a little flap that stops that – aren’t they the best?!), filter replacement is simple and when it’s job is done, you can pack your cleaner away either flat with the arm slotted in at the base of the unit or even upright and the arm slotted into the side of the unit.
If you buy this Miele cleaner or probably any of them you won’t be disappointed!
Oh one more thing, for a vacuum cleaner, it’s also a beautiful looking item. Very sleek, stylish and modern! Enjoy!
Super suction!
Best vacuum in the world, I had one for 10 years before it gave up the ghost, was very well used, I bought a different one from Tesco for 55 quid and it was absolutely useless, so come payday invested in a new miele cat and dog. I have never been more excited about vacuuming, it is now a pleasure, takes a third of the time and you can see the difference after one pass. Perfect.
Very pleased with the machine !
Have only had it for a few day and used it a couple of times – works brilliantly and makes our carpet look remarkably clean. So I am really pleased with it.
However I have only given it a 4 star as it doesn’t seem to pick up longer hairs on the carpet effectively, a weakness other reviewers have mentioned previously. But it doesn’t bother me much and I am still very happy with the purchase.
Light and easy to manoeuvre
I was finding it difficult to use my heavy vacuum cleaner on the stairs – too unwieldy and cumbersome in a relatively narrow space.
I decided to invest in this cleaner because Miele has a good reputation. I have previously bought white goods from them which lasted in excess of 26 years before needing to be replaced.
This cleaner is considerably cheaper than some of their more sophisticated models, but its suction power is second to none, it is light and easy to handle on the stairs. I like the on-board storage facility for the tools because they are on hand and easy to change as needed.
It is not over-noisy in use. I bought this mid-October and there is no indication that the bag needs changing. I was so pleased with this, I ordered one for my sister. She said it’s the best vacuum cleaner she has ever owned.
Worth i
Great improvement of the c3 burgundy normal version. Suction is great. I have two dogs and never noticed stair fur until I used this hover, now I can see the difference. Great hover!
Went for C3 cat and dog so much better than my last Dyson.
I di a lot of online and in shop research before buying the C3 cat and dog. It sucks up the dust well and the rotating head that comes with the cat and dog version beats out the dust as it vacuum cleans. I had previously been pulled in by the expensive gimmicky cyclone vacuum cleaners but so glad I went back to a well built cylinder. All well thought through and easy to move around the house. Just love i
As good as Previous one
I had a dog and cat one more than ten years, but the motor sound become so crazy noisy and the bag started not fit well inside machine and dust comes out actual inside of Hoover. So I bought a new one yesterday, it’s so quiet and suck good just as good as Dog and Cat one. It’s worth paying 236 pound as Used my last one lasted more than ten years, it’s worth it rather than buying cheap nasty machine which useless and hardly suck anything. I love Miele always although we in Japan so many good gadgets made in Japan but come to Hoover I love Miele.
I still get Email from Miele Japan, hahaha, I had Mile while I was there too, unfortunately it’s different voltage so gave it to my friend.
Miele won’t let you down. Only one thing I miss Japanese Hoover, as they have controller near the pipe near where you grip, it’s so easy to stop or change the function instead of going back to the Hoover itself. Hope my shopping Hoover time is another ten years time. But I am happy if last five years, but if survive for ten years it speak good quality. See how it go and write again. But so far I am happy about this one. Also my delivery man was ever so friendly and nice man in the dark cold weather, I appreciate people who carry things especially pandemic period as I was home all time Andy no car so it was difficult to buy bulky things. Thanks for hard working delivery people.
Good value vacuum cleane
Very good vacuum cleaner. But the head has a short flexible hose section between the floorhead and the tube. I find it difficult to move because when I try to push or pull it the tube changes angle instead of the floorhead moving. Maybe I need to get used to it.
compact easy to use
I purchased the cat and dog Miele vacuum as I do a lot of sewing and overlocking and it removed instantly all the stray threads from my carpets brilliant suctio
Top quality!
We had some problems with the delivery at first but Amazon sorted it all out and now we are really happy with the purchase.
This hoover is amazing. Straight away I have noticed a good quality of materials it’s made of . Even though it’s in a lower price range of Miele hoovers it performs perfectly!
Great hoover!
The suctions is really powerful. I have vinyl flooring in one room which it lifted up. Suction is adjustable so easy to use on different surfaces. I like the tool storage so you always have any you need to had. Compact design. I had a couple before that I wasn’t happy with, so I put off getting a new one. Now I have it, I am really pleased with this one!
Excellent Suctio
I have a Henry which I love but it’s heavy to carry up and downstairs. I bought the Miele for upstairs and it’s well worth the money. Useful tools and able to reach picture rails, under beds and it’s manoeuvrable and light.
Very powerfull
Not my first Miele vacuum and definitely the most powerful so I can only use the top power & brush on hard floors. The lower power with no brush is just as good on carpets if not better than my previous machine. Miele is a little more expensive but well worth the money.
The bes
I have spend a lot of money for hoovers, and they didn’t been so great, always loose parts, and the suction was weak. I have brought this hoover and is the best quality of all of them. Suction is very strong, all small parts are hidden inside. Looking posh and easy to manoeuvre. The top of all hoovers !!!
Good warranty service.
A convenient and VERY well powered cleaner. Has to be dragged around a bit carefully as it can turn over if pulled round corners without care. Our cord retractor went wrong while under guarantee but we got a quick, efficient response from the company and even spoke to a polite and pleasant human being!
Amazing compact powerful vacuum
It’s Miele so what can I say. It’s light it’s stylish it’s very powerful it’s the best vacuum on the market. Compared to the previous model this is a different level.
I like everything about this vacuum cleaner. It does everything it said it would. I bought it to replace an old Hetty vacuum which was becoming too heavy for me- it’s at least 12 years old now and still going strong. The only thing I would say about the Miele that I find irritating is the shortish cord, making it necessary to change power points rather often.
This is a fantastic vacuum!
We were swopping from Dyson upright and picked this one after reading the Which reviews. The review there was glowing and I have to say that we have not been disappointed – the best vacuum cleaner we have ever had!
The power lead is really long, the hose is also long (but not cumbersome and able to reach all of my ceiling corners), the suction is great and so controllable, it’s light and mobile, and compared to most of the top rated vacuum cleaners it’s cheap.
Just remember to get the bags.
Miele>Dyso
Have been using Dyson vacuum cleaners for 8 years. Switching back to Miele. This one is miles better than the Dyson roll we have, longer cord, better suction, to my surprise compact and easy to use. More compact than my Dyson.
Superb on solid floors (wood, lino, stone etc.) but poor on carpets
I bought this principally for the downstairs of my house which has solid floors. It works superbly. But if I try using it on the upstairs carpet (not a deep pile at all) it is very difficult to use because of the high suction even at the lowest power setting.
The review in Which gives it a high rating for filtering out allergens which is good for my asthma.
Excellent vacuum for a shared girls flat. Ideal weight , says what it does. Not heavy nor expensive. Delighted
I can’t agree with the other recent reviewers here, although they all have C3 versions and I purchased the cheaper C1. This is a fantastic vacuum cleaner – especially considering the price. I’ve bought Miele’s for a couple of decades now, and today’s model is a massive improvement on the past – eliminating all the major problem areas.
The suction is epic – but totally controllable via the switch on the body, from butterfly wings to wind-tunnel. In an emergency the slide valve on the pipe can of course be used to relieve pressure at the nozzle in an instant. The cable retraction is ultra slick and requires continuous foot pressure for operation. It may be counterintuitive, but this is so much better than the press-once type. The machine is more stable than its predecessors – without the tendency to be pulled over all the time, ending up on its side or upside-down.
It is also very lightweight, and quieter than before. The on-off switch works without having to press it again and again. I really like the new smooth extending mechanism for the main tube too.
The important thing about vacuums with the static type of head like this is that they are not particularly good at picking up hair and fluff off carpet. As other reviewers have noted, they tend to bundle it up and push it around, rather than lifting it. But if you’re prepared to settle for a little technique then this won’t be a problem. Just bundle up the fluff and hair, remove the head and then suck it up with the bare nozzle. It lifts easily and only takes a second or two.
My only real complaint is that the penny-pinchers in the finance department (presumably) have shortened the cable by about six feet. That may not seem much, but now it means I have to replug every day where I didn’t before. So every day for the rest of my life (or the life of this vacuum, whichever is shorter) I’ll be reminded of the cheapskates at Miele. Talk about ruining the ship for a halfpenny of tar.
Having said that, it’s still a really great vacuum, and you should buy it.
Quiet and powerful so hoovering is enjoyable!
It’s a pleasure to use this vacuum as it’s really quiet and easy to move around. It has a number of settings so you can increase and decrease power depending on the floor type (6 settings). The extendable pipe is quite long which is useful for us tall people and changing the different heads is really easy. I love that they live in a little compartment in the body of the vacuum! Love my Miele.
The vacuum cleaner works well
The machine is easy to carry and the suction works well.
I was not very happy with the instructions. All the small ‘air clean’ are difficult to install and the instructions are not very easy to understand.
More powerful than my old 2kW Vax!
The worries that the new EU restriction on power of vacuum cleaners would make our cleaning more difficult and take far longer (wasting energy) have been exorcised well and good! It’s more powerful than my old 2kW Vax (which was wet-and-dry but I had to make do with a dry-only replacement) even though it’s only 880W — This thing sticks to the floor and lifts up the carpet when I try to lift the nozzle!! The minor design issues I have are that the clever foot-button method of reducing the power in 6 settings doesn’t really have a huge effect (3 settings would do because it only takes it down to half the resulting suction) and the hose is a non-standard size so I can’t use my old attachments (they only provide a short stubby crevace nozzle so you can’t get into deep tight spaces, like down the side of my car seats). But on full power it is NEXT TO SILENT compared with my old 2kW Vax. They also do a “silent” model but that’s only rated to drop 3 or 5 dB and I can say this thing is so quiet you really won’t care to try any harder 🙂
Great price for a great vacuum, gonna stick with Meile
Looked at many vacuums but could not decide on one, then I found this one and checked out the reviews
What a great vacuum, lightweight and easy to carry around the house, great on wood floors, picks up everything!!!
Suction power is good to, beats those big bulky upright vacuums and easy to store to, does not take up much room.
Would def recommend as a future purchase, German stuff built to last!!!
I am glad I bought i
I wanted to buy another quiet vacuum cleaner when my much beloved bosch prosilence 59 died. There are a lot of mixed reviews about this c3 silence ecoline so I was really confused but decided to buy and see how it performs because I can not stand using loud vacuum cleaners.
First don’t believe who says that this machine does not have a good suction. Eventhough it is 550W , it lifts my rugs even on carpet setting. When placing my order , I was planning to use it on the highest setting. I used it for the first time yesterday and I was amazed and also happy to see how powerful it was. No need to use it on the highest setting all the time.
After reading reviews I also bought a turbo brush to use with rugs . The original brush that comes with it does not have any rollers underneat ( my previous bosch had small rollers) which makes it hard to push on rugs and carpets. As long as I understand Miele does it on purpose. They want us to buy the expensive brush (62) as an extra. This brush should be standart with all C3 series or Miele should put a pair of rollers underneat its cheap foot brush.
Anyway, I bought it because I have carpal tunnel on my hands and I did not want to hurt my hands . The brush makes such a big difference in using it over rugs/ carpets. The turbo brush ( the one I bought is called turboteq) glides over rugs and carpets with the help of the rollers.
If you have only one rug or carpet I think you don’t need to buy turbo brush, the brush that comes with the machine is not that bad. It is just the turbo brush just makes it very easy and quick to vacuum rugs.
Other than that it is a great powerful and quiet machine. I am glad I bought it.
Great value for such high performance.
The suction power was great. Just have to lower it, when doing carpets. After having used a cordless, which was awful with recharging and emptying dust container, it is great to be back with my miele vacuum.
Delivered well before due, as it was out of stock and delivery man was very pleasant
Great value for money
Great compact vacuum cleaner system.
Using it for general home cleaning its an amazing design easy to carry and move around in small and large rooms.
Its also highly efficient and easy to carry outside in dry weather to clean car interiors.
Comes with good quality filters which are easy to source locally and by email.
Good on hard floors, poor on carpets
This vacuum cleaner is very reliable and manoeuvrable, with plenty of suction power. It vacuums perfectly on hard floors, but not so well on carpets. It is particularly poor at picking up hair. The turbo brush is okay until all the hair gets tangled around the brush, and then you have spend a lot of time untangling and removing the hair from the brush – why bother? I just use the floor head (instead of the turbo brush), and for difficult spots I take of the head and just point the hose directly at the stubborn areas.
Really powerful and efficie
This isa good vacuum cleaner that has a v long lead and is easy to manoeuvre. It’s very powerful and picks up everything quickly. I like the comfort button which hauls in the lead quickly. Accessories are easy to access and change.
Im expecting this last a long time though given the price
It’s bag collectio
I absolutely love this Hoover I’ve always brought Dyson but after reading reviews I thought I’d give this ago and I’m so glad I did very powerful and love the choice of suction control *****
So good, we have two!
Bought a C1 Miele 18 months ago, it was so good my husband borrowed it for his work premises and it’s never returned home!! So hence the C3 which is even better than the C1!
Really pleased with it, I know people are not keen on the bag system but it’s so easy and no mess – unlike my previous dyson cordless! The bags also take a long time to fill too, I was worried that I’d be paying a fortune for replacement bags!
The C3 has a great storage space for the additional tools. Great to have the option to turn up or down the power too and the main hoover part can change between hard floors and carpets with a simple flick of the switch. It’s also very quiet even on the highest settings and the switch that reels in the cable is brilliant, one click and it packs it all away inside the hoover!
I suppose the only downside is that it doesn’t fold down as neatly as my previous dyson cordless but it can soon be put in an under stair cupboard etc!
Lightweight & easy to use. No problem to carry from room to room.
Nothing to dislike.. Light enough to carry around from room to room and up or down the stairs. We have quarry tiled floors as well as carpeted and wooden ones in our house, so we need a cleaner that can cope with all surfaces, which this one can! Quieter than previous vacuum cleaners we’ve had and does a great job. Very pleased with our purchase.
Grea
I love Miele hoovers and bought this one because it was slightly more compact for our upstairs. It works really well and sucks-up all of our cats hairs & general bits on the floor. We use our cleaner on both carpeted and wooden floors & it is a perfect cleaner for us.
If you’re cat goes missing, check the hoover bag!! Wow one powerful vaacuum cleaner. But on the lower settings its so gentle. We love it.
Don’t believe the negative reviews about this – well, not completely at any rate (and certainly not the 1-Star ones)…
Yes, this vacuum cleaner is VERY powerful. The trouble is, the cleaning head supplied with it is really only suited to parquet floors. You can control the suction with the slider on the handle (the same as other vacuums) and with the + / – buttons on the machine’s body but the bottom line is the supplied head just doesn’t work well with carpets. I started out wondering, like others, whether I’d made the right purchase, then bought a different brush head and everything changed (for the better)…
Basically, if you’re vacuuming carpets you simply MUST buy the Miele TurboTeq brush head (on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0749WMW3X/ ). Whilst that may seem unreasonable (another 65-80, depending on Amazon price fluctuation), it truly changes the character of the machine. The TurboTeq head has roller brushes built into it which turn due to the suction, giving you pretty much the same performance as an upright vacuum cleaner on carpets. Added to that, it’s great for picking up hair from pets. In fact, it’s supplied as standard on the C3 Cat & Dog which struck me as a bit counter-intuitive as I would have thought if you have pets and wanted a vacuum cleaner that didn’t upset them then a quiet one like this would be better! Still, Miele didn’t ask me so what do I know?
On the subject of noise, it isn’t ‘silent’ but it is *a lot* less noisy than other vacuums. In fact, it makes less noise than my air purifier when they’re both operating next to each other (with the air purifier on full power). The soundproofing adds a bit of weight which, coupled with the sturdy build quality, means it might not be right for you if you have trouble lifting or moving heavy things (particularly on stairs) but if not then it’s a worthwhile investment.
When I first found this on Amazon it was c.230 just for the vacuum cleaner so I waited for the Amazon price to drop and got it a few months ago for 160 (with free delivery on Amazon Prime) then recently bought the TurboTeq brush head at 65, so, 225 all told. It was definitely worth the wait.
Nice and quiet but still powerful
Much quieter than any previous vacuum. Strong suction but adjustable so good for curtains and upholstery. Air is expelled up so it doesn’t blow dust around. Tools are stored on board which is handy and the tube is telescopic. Hair seems to “pill” on the carpet and require picking up but this may be the type of carpet as it only really happens in one room. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase.
Minor issues but a fantastic vacuum
I would have given 5 stars, but for the following reasons. I dont like the comfort cable reel, the button for it is far too sensitive. When maneouring the vacuum in small spaces if the hoover hose taps the button the cable starts reeling itself in. I also dont like that there is no warning to tell you when to stop pulling the cable out, in the long run I suspect this will result in the connections inside getting damaged. But its lasted a year so far and so far so good. 4 stars may be a little harsh, because I would buy this vacuum again especially as I bought it in last years black friday sale and that price it was excellent value for money. The quietness of this machine is remarkable, you can watch tv while hoovering it is that quiet.
I thought long and hard about this purchase due to the price but I am so pleased with my decision. Cleaning the floors is no longer a chore, I actually enjoy it as this is the best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever had. I went for the newer model due to it having a longer flex, which means I only have to plug in once to clean all the rooms downstairs and also the additional mini turbo head is awesome for the stairs and the car! It was well worth the additional cost. I can not recommend this highly enough, go for it,you get what you pay fo

Amazing suction that really cleans up!
The first time I used this vacuum I couldn’t believe how great my tiled and wooden floors looked – you would have thought that they had been washed. Made me realise that my previous vacuum (a Dyson Absolute) had not been picking up much. I love the way you can increase/decrease the suction level and I thought it was pretty quiet even on the highest level. There is a quiet level but I haven’t used that much.
Great the way the tools are stored inside it do are handy when you need them. I use the little brush to pick up dust from basically anywhere. Great on the stairs. A wee bit of a chore on the carpets but I love everything else about it I can put up with that.
Best product for me.
It was as described.
I know the make. I’ve had an earlier version for 20 yrs, so I know the product well.
Whilst it’s rather expensive / it will last a long time.
A good, reliable vacuum at a reasonable price.
Miele vacuums are recommend by Which magazine and I had one for the past 5 years. It was used virtually every day and eventually stopped working but I have yet to find out why. This was a replacement, so I found it every bit as good and a bit quieter due to the European directive on vacuum noise. My only gripe is the extension tube, unlike the previous one, is quite difficult to remove from main suction tube which you would do to add some of the small
attachments. Other than that, I would recommend these as a home vacuum cleaner.
This vacuum cleaner is fantastic. I did lots of research and eventually decided on this one based on the Which Guide which rated at the best available – they were definitely right. I have had two other really expensive branded vacuum cleaners (Sebo and Dyson) before and in my opinion this Miele beats them both by a long way and is incredible value for money.
I am a busy working mum – this vacuum cleaner is fantastic and makes it so easy to keep my house clean and tidy despite all constant mess from my kids and dog. It is so easy to use and efficient that it makes it much easier for me to keep on top of all the house work.
The power cord is really long which means I don’t have to keep stopping to plug it in with each room.
The power is amazing and if too strong can be easily adjusted by altering the slide on the handle.
Its light weight so I can vacuum the stairs and go between the two floors in our house without a struggle.
The tools are stored in a compartment within the vacuum cleaner so they are always easy to find and switch without fuss.
I have had this Hoover now for few months and love it. I made the best choice. I have wood flooring and Lino and massive rug in my living room that I use it for and I don’t have to as often as I was doing with my old cheaper hoover. Love it Love it.
A brilliant Vacuum Cleane
Personally i think this cleaner is excellent. Our old hoover was just too tired so we bought a very decent cordless, bagless cleaner. Pointless really. Dust went everywhere when you emptied it which was nearly every other room and the power lasted about less than half of the house. We have a mixture of floorboards and carpets plus a dog so needed something a bit versatile and powerful. Cordless and bagless are just useless really. Sent it back and got this and couldn’t be happier. There is no worry about doing a quick job because you are worried about the battery running out and the dirt and dust is nicely contained in the bag. its quiet and light and has different settings depending on what you are cleaning. These settings are easily adjustable by foot and the main handle is easily broken down into its component parts when you need it to be. Cable length is excellent as is the size of the bag. A great cleaner and we got it at a good price. First time with Miele so we’ll see how it fairs in the long run. We’ll probably get a cheaper cordless cleaner but just for those occasions when you need to clean a patch or just a quick whizz around one room.
Super Quiet! Perfect for late night clean up after the kids are in bed.
Cannot believe how quiet this vacuum cleaner is! The wife and I can easily have a conversation while doing the vacuuming (even on maximum). Some of the reviews say that it lacks suction power. We haven’t had any issues cleaning up after our two active toddlers (we have thick pike carpets upstairs and laminate downstairs). You do need to make sure you use the right settings/adjustments for the different floor types, but it is straight forward.
Should have bought one f these instead of the fashion accessory years ago!
I should’ve bought one of these years ago. It’s a vacuum cleaner, not a fashion accessory and it does what it’s supposed to do really well, it’s well made and has a rediculously long power chord which smoothly returns inside the machine with a reassuring gentle “clunk”, you don’t feel like your about to lose an ankle when you press the chord button. My recommendation is that you dump your fashion accessory which is twice or three times the price of this machine and replace it with this one.
Perfect Quiet Vacuum
I’ve had it for 2 months now and am so pleased with it. I read several reviews and a lot of the negatives were on how it performed on carpet and as I had all hardwood floors I went ahead and purchased anyway. It is amazing, very quiet and even on the loudest setting it is only the sound of a normal vacuum. The suction is perfect on our hardwood floors and there are 5 settings if you need more or less power.
Also I found it worked fine on the carpets that we do own – just use your foot to press down of the carpet so it isn’t moved with the vacuum head.
Couldn’t recommend this vacuum more if you are looking for a quiet vacuum.
This vacuum cleaner replaces a Miele vacuum cleaner of similar specification. It was bought because of our satisfaction with the previous model. It is worth noting that it is hard to push when on full suction on a deep pile carpet but simply by reducing the suction setting, it is easy to use and remains very efficient at cleaning.
It has exceptional sucking powe
This is a very quite product with exceptional sucking power the sucking power of this beast is really something to be hold and it’s so powerful that my grandma had such a hard time lifting it up with sucking that her hip came out and we are now in the hospital with her so overall a very good buy unless you have a bad hip like my poor old grandma rest her soul
Powerful and quiet, good ergonomics, easy to maneuver, pleasure to use. Cleans very close to walls/edges unlike some other cleaners.
Wasn’t sure if it was going to be powerful enough but the suction is great even on quiet setting and has to be set even lower for rugs. I replace bags every 2-3 months (2 bed house).
Incredibly quie
Just to put it up front, the unit stopped working after around 9 months of use, but after contacting Miele they shipped a box for us to send it back for inspection, repaired it and we got it back in working order within a week. So I terms of customer service, they have done very well.
In use, the unit provides impressive suction, and it is very quiet – it’s in fact quiet enough that if we take our toddler for a nap during the day in her room, it is barely audible while vacuuming in the hallway outside. I have never owned a vacuum this quiet and powerful. And after two years of using it, I would not hesitate to recommend it.
So much better than Dyson!
Finally free of my upright Dyson, no vacuum cleaner should ever make you that cross! This one was half the price and you can bearly hear it. I turn it down a bit when I use it on our cheaper carpet rooms but works well on high if your carpet has been fitted well. Love it.
Had a Dyson but went back to Miele. It has an extremely long cord that reaches everywhere downstairs without having to replug it in somewhere else. Powerful suction. Doesn’t get blocked up by small items. Although it requires a bag it is worth it to get a hoover that really does its job well.

A quiet machine which works well
This is a quiet machine. It is also much better than our last machine, of a different make, which just moved the dirt around the floor rather than picking it up. The bags seem to fill up quickly and are expensive. I would recommend it.
Very efficient cleane
This is an excellent cleaner. I really liked the white colour of its slimmer design. Its lighter in weight, and with a longer power cable making cleaning our long hall way an easier task. Its easy to pack away and get out again. I preferred the roller brush from our earlier Miele Cat & Dog cleaner, which unfortunately is not provided with this model. I understand that additional brushes can be purchased, but I was not prepared to spend any extra for what I do feel should be as part of the standard fitments to this cleaner. Other than that I’m satisfied with this bagged vacuum cleaner.
I was very happy with the overall look of this vacuum. It’s Lotus WHite colour is easy on the eye. My 3rd Miele, this is quieter than the rest, uses less energy but cleans effectively. I have a dog, and have wooden floors and rugs, and the vauum keeps the floors spick and span. The long cord is a bonus, as I am exceptionally lazy about plugging and unplugging, and with a 12M operating radius, it’s not necessary. Also, no need to waste time searching for the attachments, because they’re all onboard. No disturbing neighbours with late night vacuuming noise. Generally, this is a great all rounder.

we needed a new Vacuum being a member of which I read that they stated in their review of this machine that it was the best that they had ever tested, on the same day that I read this I seen that it was 100 below its normal price in the amazon black Friday deals so I purchased it, it is very good and easy to use also light and A rated.
Purchased this model as have used Miele in the past and have always been impressed with the performance. I can’t say the same of this model as it’s not great at picking up loose bits from carpets nor is it good at collecting cat hair (I have 3 feline beauties – Cheeky, Claude and Fudge). The noise level is much more pleasing on my ears and I like the way you get to choose the option of the surface you are cleaning.
My overall opinion is that this model is worth buying given that it’s eco friendly but I still favour the Power Plus 5000
This vacuum cleaner generally cleans very well, it is remarkably quiet, as vacuum cleaners go with a good range of tools built in, under a cover on the top of the machine. I was slightly disappointed by its ability to pick up dog hairs; the normal head collects the dog hairs together but it is necessary to remove the head and pick up the collected hairs with the open end of the hose. Yhe turbo head might be better but that adds significantly to the cost. Otyherwise, an excellent cleaner.
It was lightweight, and picked up crumbs, fibres, as well as any other vacuum cleaner – for some things I needed the hose, for others the brush. It obviously cannot be absolutely silent but the noise was much lower than other cleaners I have had, and I only needed to use the machine on its lowest setting. I bought another to use at my mother’s home and she found the noise level acceptable as normally she is very sensitive to sound.
