Best lawnmower on the market. It should be called the beast.
This is actually the best lawnmower on the market. Better than any branded alternative. 2 Briggs and Stratton 5Ah batteries. It’s a beast. Works for over an hour with 1 charge. It says 36 minutes in manual but it’s not true. It’s a beast, you won’t be disappointed 100%.

    Easy!! Well worth it.
Charge last well, only uses 50% charge for a medium sized lawn area.
Cuts really well, doesn’t like the grass around the 5inch height, it needs to be gone over a couple of times, lowering height each time.. Easy to assemble, easy to carry, easy to change the multiple heights on the blades, easy to use and most of all…. no cables.
    No regrets and highly recommended.

    very impressed
I was not sure at first, I had no previous knowledge of ‘Murray’ but I am very impressed. Easy to assemble the few parts necessary. The charging and loading of the batteries couldn’t be simpler. But the most impressive feature was the ease of use and power. I have a difficult patch of grass full of weeds and other villains but this machines slices through like a hot knife through butter.

    Excellent cut and pick up!
I purchased this particular model based on reviews, the sale price and the fact that the mower was a ‘Briggs and Stratton’! Assembly was straightforward and the batteries display the percentage charge which is useful.

At the first attempt, like others, the collection box kept falling off at every bump or turn. However, I followed someone else’s advice and manually ‘stretched’ the metal frame of the collected to increase the distance between the metal lugs. Now the box fitted snugly against the plastic slots and had some horizontal tension to keep it in place.

Now it works like a dream, very impressive wide and even cut, motor adjusts to load/grass length and the batteries charge quickly and last sufficient time to do front and back lawns. I would recommend this product, but just be aware that you may have to adjust the collection box frame with a bit of brute force to stop it falling off!

How happy am I with this!? Light weight, quiet, easy to assemble (minimal – handles and basket 5 mins tops ), quiet, well packaged, quiet, easy to manoeuvre, quiet, reduces time spent mowing by at least 2 thirds compared to the corded mowers I’ve usually had, looks good and….. Quiet. (I’m in my 60s and find it very easy to use)
The basket is light, but sturdy, fits well on mower and is very easy to attach/detach.
Batteries charge very quickly, are super easy to insert/remove in both charger and mower.
I have a large rear garden and big front garden and a full charge did 1st mow of year front and back and (2 wk’s later with no recharge) 3 quarters of back. Batteries were fully charged and ready to go once I’d finished doing a bit of faffing about in garden.
Highly recommend, I’d read a lot of reviews for many brands, but this brand was all good reviews and I can see why.
I took out extended cover for piece of mind.

Seems to be the best choice in it's class
Used it twice and so far so good. I knocked a star off becasue it doesn’t cut as low as other mowers that I have owned and other reviewers have noted this. But there is now no messing with cables or petrol/oil. Just walk up and down, and the lawns done in 10 minutes as opposed to 25 minutes. It will be only as good as the battery system and this seems good so far but I will expect to have to replace them in about 5 years at a cost of 120.

    Powerful and tidy mowe
My old battery mower used to spray grass cuttings all over the patio and footpath and dump large quantities of grass cuttings on the lawn. This mower leaves the patio and footpath clear of debris and throws the grass into the back of the cuttings box.

As soon as you turn it on you hear the sound of this wonderful motor ploughing through the grass. I had a 40v mower before and this seems far more powerful. No grass getting stuck in the mower as before when the grass is wet and the hopper seems to be able collect more grass before it needs emptying. Good battery life and a lovely little handle on the bottom of the hopper to help you empty it.

I’ve quite a large garden, usually took over an hour to mow. This mower halved that time, its quick and easy to assemble and the batter charges up real quick. I was really surprised at just how easily it cut thru the grass given it was quite long. I would definitely recommend

    Super pleased my Flymo broke!
My first cordless only lasted 6 months due to dodgy batteries (Flymo – it’s a think and they should fix it). This beast is much much better anyway and more suited I think. The Flymo always felt just that bit too lightweight where this feels like a normal lawnmower (still light though but maybe just feels better and higher quality). I am super pleased with it and hope it will last forever – now look at trimmer that use the same batteries.

It’s a big lad. In fact, as I unpacked it, I thought it may be a little too mighty for my delicate paws. The handle in the highest position came up to my neck. The handle was easy to reposition so now pootling around my vast expanse of thistles, nettles and probable cacti was imminent. It did well. So well in fact that the kids have named the mower Chad. Praise indeed. My garden will be holding a wedding next year so getting the land vaguely presentable is a must. Chad is up to it. Chad is my friend.

    Sehr gute Akku-Leistung
Einfache Montage. Mit Akku-Leistung und Kraft sehr zufrieden. Mhergebnis hervorragend.

    Wow this thing is awesome!!!
Always had petrol mowers as I’ve about 700sqm of lawn around the house and cables are a no-go. Even with petrol I usually do the lawn in stages so weighing up my options even if the batteries only did a third of that I’d be happy.

It did almost all of that on one charge, I didn’t go below level 4 on the cutting height so I’ve no doubt going lower in the summer will eat more juice but I think that’s pretty impressive.

It’s also so light, I have to go down three steps to get to the lawn from my shed and with the old mower it was step by step…..this is can just pick up easily.

And as expected it’s a lot quieter, easier to clean off and….heck just buy this it’s great!

This cordless mower cuts well, is easy to handle, and has good battery life.
On receipt of the mower, I found that the grass collector bag had been badly sewn, and this fault had not been spotted by quality control. However, I contacted the manufacturer, and they responded quickly, sending me a replacement grass collector bag. I have now used the mower several times on two mixed lawns, and I am very satisfied with the result. It is so much better than my heavy old petrol mower. I noted the comments in other reviews of people finding the bag always falling off. I have a bumpy lawn but If you take the trouble to ensure that the two lugs on the bag frame are correctly inserted into the brackets on the mower body, I have found there is no problem. I have additionally taken the precaution of using a short elastic rope hooked between the top lifting handle on the mower body and the lifting handle on the bag, and this keeps it snug and firm at all times.
I have not experienced any problem with fitting or charging the 18v batteries. A good bit of ki

    cutting to Walls and Edges
This replaces a mains Bosch 430 Ergoflex. I have 140m2 over three terraced lawns and finally gave up on cables snagging on dividing walls. Battery seems a risk (life expectancy and power) but V favourable out of the box. No spill of trimmings when mowing, no awkward corners in the bag to resist emptying, 3/4 full bag came off with minimal spill, no outer or underneath crevices to fill with trimmings. Yes! These are all criticisms I have of my Bosch. Cuts to 15cm end-on to my walls and 2.5-3.0cm along the wall. I also use a 47cm petrol self-drive Honda on bigger lawns and this Murray’s collection is tidier. No complaints. Feels sturdy with a rigid handle. It felt heavier carrying it than I’d expected from the published weight, not helped by poor balance with the handle in mowing position but it feels easier to push when mowing! I think I’ll need to use the quick release levers to fold that forward for carrying (down the terraces). Despite weight there’s very little wheel denting (big wheels?) and it cuts over my lawn edges without my worrying that it will drop off. Main crit is the sharp-edged bale handle and the need to keep the safety key securely but those are small, solvable niggles. Mowing time is just a fraction of what it was. Fingers crossed for battery life span. So far delighted.

Bought when we moved house that has a big, big lawn. Some call it tbe beast, and it is. Light, easy to use, and eats through long grass. The lower you have it the quicker it eats into the battery, but even so does a great job. Re charging again relatively quick. Good buy. Make sure you get the version that comes with charger and batteries.

Amazing battery life and excellent cu
Stunningly quiet. Exceeded the range on the battery. I have a lawn the size of two tennis courts albeit in an odd shape yet st the end of the mow the battery still had 67% left. One warning if buying from Warehouse…. given the batteries are so expensive I received the item “very good condition” without batteries (150). I think someone is buying them new, taking batteries out and returning them, then selling batteries privately.

    Fantastic battery powered lightweight mowe
This is perfect for a good size garden and the batteries lasted for one and a half times mowing our lawn. It’s simple and super lightweight offering good coverage and easy to manoeuvre. Thoroughly recommend!

This is a great mower. It tackles long grass well and is really easy to use. No cables and no messy fuel. Love it.

    Great Piece of Ki
Forget the impenetrable set up guide, and watch the on – line video instead. One picture is worth a thousand words. I had it out of the box, batteries fully charged, and on the lawn within half an hour.
I’m tall, yet the handles seem quite high. Of average stature, the lowest setting may be advisable. Either way, it’s easy to adjust.
The batteries arrived almost fully charged, which was helpful. They do need a firm push, in the charger, and in the mower to connect.
The mower feels light and is easily manoeuvrable, and I can’t wait to put it through it’s paces during Spring and Summer.
I love the idea of being able to use the batteries on different tools. How long before I order the hedge trimmer!

I found the instructions to be useless to be honest, possible they’ve been translated and that has not worked well. Once I acquired some help it was straight forward enough to set up. Great to use, not too heavy and seems to cut nice. Seems to pack grass in well to the bag. Battery seems to last reasonably well but I could do with an extra 10 minutes out of it, to get done everything I need. I have now purchased a leaf vacuum which uses the same batteries which is great value for money. Hopefully they will last well.

    An absolute bargain!
I have always had Flymo hover mowers before this purchase. I wanted a cordless mower and wanted the best I could get at the most competitive price. I decided to give the Amazon warehouse a try. This mower was down from 299 to 168 and was classed as just acceptable. When I received it I was expecting large dents and some damage but apart from perhaps a slight graze on the plastic battery compartment cover I couldn’t find any marks. Only the instruction booklet and box were a bit tatty. I tried the lawnmower to check it functioned as it should and it was excellent even if it was just a quick trial in December just to see if I needed to send it back. I cut first at grade 7 and it was too high so I lowered it to grade 4 and it cut very well. There are mower settings for cutting but it will be well into teh summer before I can get to use them – can’t wait. It is such an efficient machine and cuts the grass in super quick time. Half the grass was cut in just a few minutes and the batteries still have 98% charge. I’ll be buying from the warehouse special deals again. If this was supposed to be just ‘acceptable’ the ‘very good’ buys in the warehouse must be amazing. I’m very pleased to have saved 130 on a lawnmower that is no different to a 300 Murray mower after a couple of outings. Thanks Amazon and thanks Murray – what an excellent lawnmower. So, powerful and great build quality. Bring on the Spring!

    Simply Brillia
Difficult as it is to get excited over a lawn mower I am excited about this Murray with Briggs and stratton motor and batteres.

When I moved house recently a mains power with a cable was not ideal. This Murray with its 2 x 5aH batteries is perfect for me. Just over 30 minutes run time on longish wet grass was pretty good. I think most domestic lawns can be done in this time.

The mower is quite light and easy to push round. The grass box is definitely adequate.

I wish I had gone battery operated before.

    Just the job
It took a long time to arrive, but, well worth the wait, fantastic power, so easy to use, no messing with leads
quick charging grass box a little awkward to refit after emptying the grass, but nevertheless what a great machine
once you have used a battery operated grass cutter you will never go back to a corded one.

    Excellent Value
I bought this model after reading on-line reviews of all the cordless machines available. Although the maker is unknown to me I was delighted when the machine was delivered. It was easy to assemble – 20 minutes; certainly lightweight, and the batteries are fully charged within an hour. Copes easily with my medium size back garden and the small front garden. What was very impressive is that on arrival I discovered that the charger was faulty. I registered the product on-line and contacted the maker who sent me a replacement charger by return post. Great customer service!

    Great Lawnmower.
Love not having a petrol lawnmower, no more fumes. It may not leave neat stripes in your lawn but it easily copes with our mid size lawn. We find we can cut the rear garden and a small side lawn on one charge. Thats the size of the average lawn and and after only 30 min charge we can cut our largest front garden. It even coped with the first cut of a small area we leave wild on its highest cut. Have recommended to friends and our daughter and they are equally happy.

    Go Electric
Initially I was very sceptical at buying an electric lawn mower and I am so pleased I choose this one. With its dual batteries it easily cuts my quite large garden. Lots of adjustable cutting height and a good size collection box. Its also not very heavy. Comes with the dual charger and the batteries don’t take long to charge. So pleased with this one I also bought the hedge trimme

    Murray lawn mowe
Great bit of kit…the wife loves it. We have three separate lawns, which I used to do with a motor mower, and was hard work. The batteries on this last long enough to complete one, sometimes one and a half lawns, depending how damp the grass is, and with the quick charging, can complete the rest the same day. Much lighter to use, and quite easy to clean.

    Bought for a special lady
I spent days researching battery operated lawnmowers. My special daughter was moving into her new home requiring a decent lawn mower. Thankfully I made a great choice as she is thrilled to bits with the handling of the machine and the different cut levels. Having listened to her feedback I have no hesitation in recommending. Not to heavy but sturdy.. Decent battery life but two batteries required for two average size lawns on new properties these days..

    An easy to control beas
We had just bought a new house and the lawn was ridiculously long. I had looked into a lot a lawnmowers and all the cheaper ones had complaints of running out of battery quickly or not cutting grass properly. I decided to spend a bit more and ended up with this one.

    First bit, assembly:
Super easy, it comes 90% assembled already.

    Starting it:
Stick the two batteries in, the battery key, and you’re good to go.

    Mowing:
As said, VERY long grass, and it was wet as well, it really ploughed through these patches of thick grass so I was very impressed. I have about 70m2 of lawn, and at 3/4 the batteries had to recharge, but this was solely because of the state of my grass, it will easily cover my lawn on 1 charge with normal length grass.

    Conclusion:
Look no further, this it the cordless lawnmower you’re looking for.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLightweight, highly effective, a joy to use. The manual could be improved.
This is a brilliant machine and I wish I had bought it years ago. I’ve struggled with a wired electric mower on our relatively small lawn (100 square metres or so) for years so switching to a battery-powered mower was a revelation. It took me less than ten minutes to mow our lawn – half the time it used to take – and the batteries were still indicating a full charge afterwards. I am seriously impressed!

However, (sorry about this Murray, you must hate the ‘howevers’) I did struggle more than I should have done with the assembly, and note from the questions above and other reviews that I’m not alone in this respect. Being nearly 70 years old and doubtless with slightly less than perfect eyesight, the diagrams in the manual were too small to be useful and the associated figure text was so small as to be virtually illegible. Figures 2, 3 and 4 were basically useless for me although I guess those with younger eyes probably struggled less!

The text refers several times to the Safety Key but never once mentions where it is located. I only realized after I had completed the build that Figure 6 shows it; since I struggled with the diagrams I was relying on the text. It really wouldn’t hurt to write its location in the manual (it is inside the battery compartment). This caused a delay of 10 minutes as I hunted through all the boxes several times believing I had somehow missed it in the unpacking and I was on the point of giving up when I finally located it.

Also unclear in the manual is that the upper and lower handle cam locks are different, and again Figures 2 and 3 are so miniscule as to be useless to me. The lower cam locks have no nut attached and are the longest of the two pairs. These simply screw into the holes provided which are suitably threaded for the purpose. The upper cam locks come with the nuts attached and these have to be removed, as do the washers. The bolts are then threaded through from the inside of the handle to the outside where the washer and the nut are attached. Figuring all this out caused a further 10 minute delay. Maybe for some folks this was all obvious, but it wasn’t to me.

I could not find any mention of the two cable clips, so wasn’t really sure quite where to locate these on the handle. They were not even shown in the ‘Features and Supplied Items’ list. So I just put these where they seemed to be the most effective but have no idea if that was what the manufacturer intended.

If I were to assemble another one now it would take no more than 10 minutes, as it was it took about half an hour with a not inconsiderable amount of frustration. It was a good job that once assembled and used, the mower was so brilliant that it made it worth the bother.

My advice to Murray – do more engineering like this, but improve your manual! Great product.

I bought this to replace a Briggs and Stratton petrol mower which was always reliable. This mower has a Briggs and Stratton electric motor so i thought I would give it a go. I couldn’t be more pleased. It was fiddly to assemble from the box and the grass box need some extra adjustment to fit properly but once all that was completed the machine does a great job on my x 2 lawns. It is quiet and light to manoeouvre and the batteries last for at least x 2 cuts of x2 lawns. I highly recommend this mowe

The mower is easy to put together and works very well. I am just curious though as to why they bother to include the manuals (mower and charger) – running to many many pages in many many languages. They are useless and omit much useful information – and having read the English, French and German variants I can only assume that the whole thing is a waste of the paper it is p[rinted on.
