I’ve clearly hit middle age to the extent I’m writing about lawn mowers!, I had a Flymo for 15 years, it was an absolute trooper but alas finally gave up on life and I had to replace it. Current reviews for Flymo’s and Black & Decker were alarmingly poor on Amazon and B&Q sites but Murray seemed like a good option, never heard of them before so took a chance primarily because I liked the warranty offered, power and metal blade, plus the connection to Briggs & Stratton backed up their brand. This has 7 cutting heights, is fairly light and is actually quicker than my old Flymo to use and low noise. Instruction manual for assembly is terrible but not impossible. Cut is superb and it handled its first cut (see pic) with ease. Overall, extremely happy customer. Guess I’ll have to review a cardigan or some socks now and the circle will be complete.

Been using it now for a couple of months with no issues at all and it cuts the grass a treat. As for the plastic breaking, I can see how that might happen if you pick it up by the push along handle, but use the grab handle on top of the motor and all should be fine.

I dont think i ever left any feedbacks on amazon but i had to do it this time. This machine is amazing so far (did 1 collect and 1 mulching). Big wheels make pushing machine easy, poweful motor goes through grass with ease, cut is nice and even. Probably bad point would be that collection box tongue doesnt sit nice and tight inside, leaves a gap where some grass gets stuck, but not a big deal, 99% still gets collected into the bag.
Two of all the reasons why i chose it is that it doesnt have a roller (woohoo !) and that it has mulching plug. Hard to find such combination 😉

This mower arrived in good time, packaged well and all parts present. It is very easy to assemble and the quick release bolts are great. It’s easy to adjust the cutting height and is generally a pleasure to use. The mower still works perfectly after many uses, I would definitely recommend
Surprisingly good mowe
After much searching I decided to give this a go despite some reservations as I did not know the name, This 1600W lawnmower has seriously impressed me.
It was easy to set up, easy to use and easy to create a nice finish on my lawn.
The powerful motor coped easily with my slightly overgrown large garden and worked well for a good couple of hours in strong sunshine heat with just a a couple of short breaks for the mower to cool down.
Easily adjustable cutting height was very good with a good range.
Grass collection worked well with the 40l collection box doing it’s job perfectly.
As you can tell im very happy with my purchase and I would certainly recommend this mower, the cost of 124 was money well spent in the middle of summer although I’m sure it would be a cheaper buy in November/December it was well worth the price I paid.

Great lawnmower. Love the adjustable height, cuts neat and collects all the grass and bits up.
Only 2 small things which caused me to drop a star was one of the front wheels was bent on arrival which my husband had to fix and the second is the handle on the grass box comes off if the box is too heavy… Another job for husband which shouldn’t really be necessary for the price paid.

This is my second Murray Lawnmower, i have a battery version too which is also splendid, this corded electric version is really good and powerful and light weight which makes carrying by the handle far easier, easy to put together and good selection of cutting heights, my only complaint with all the Murray lawnmowers is the cheap and flimsy grass collection box which doesn’t do a good job either – it’s like buying a ferrari only to find it has wooden wheels !! Shame really.

Early days but I’m very impressed with this product so far. It appears to be very well made and cuts the lawns effortlessly. It’s very easy to set up and operate and simple to change the grass cutting height. There is no rear roller but leaves the lawn neat and tidy and for a powerful mower it’s relatively quiet when operating.

Easy to assemble and great to use. Very robust build quality. Never. Heard of this brand before, so glad I did my research and read the reviews of the normal brands. Slightly heavier than my previous Bosch mower. But with it comes the power. No slowing of the motor cutting down some long grass. Would recommend this one

I retired my aging very popular lightweight corded mower and decided to try something that costs about 50 more. I am so happy for the slightly wider mow path, the immense upgrade in power and the far sturdier construction that, unlike my former mower, never looks or does require some of the ratchets to be re-tightened because they have come loose whilst cutting. Also it can cut at least 60% faster and the grass-catcher has great capacity and flexibility. It was a pain to put together with fairly useless instructions that were like crossword clues, but once done it has performed delightfully.

What a fabulous little lawn mower this is. Its lightweight easy to use and a reasonable length lead. The hight adjustment is easy and I have to say its the best and cheapest lawnmower I’ve ever bought.

It’s a little bit on the heavy side when lifting. But with the big wheels it is very light when cutting the lawn. Very powerful lawnmower, well built would buy again.

My gardener ceased trading so I had to do something. Can’t beat this for a solution. “Just get out there and do it yourself” This is easy to handle and makes short work of my garden. Adjusting the height is easy. Emptying the grass catcher is easy, pushing, pulling, uphill, downhill, just easy. And above all else, affordable. Very happy and would recommend to anyone. If this old, unfit woman can make a good job with this, it’s got to be good.

A bit awkward to fix the handle in a suitable position and grass blows about a bit. Overall OK
Bought for 92 and great value for money. Much wider than my old flymo and way more powerful motor, it’s cuts the grass in no time and does a brilliant job. I did have a problem with the grass collector as it wouldn’t connect to the mower but I just undid the two screws and adjusted it so it fits now. The black line is harder to see on the grass, my old one was orange which was less likely to be cut. I recommend this mower if you’re on a budget and don’t have too big a lawn.

Can’t say enough about this, as a gardener myself working for a grounds maintenance company I have used a good few petrol lawnmowers in my time. Decided to get this for me and my girlfriends garden, very impressed how easy it is to use really robust and light as well. Would definitely recommend it.
It’s law moving Jim, but not as we know it!! This lawnmower is Superb! I think the market leader has so much brand power that people are unaware that for the same price, there are far superior products on the market. I have had 3 mowers from the leading brand over the last 15 years, and thought I was taking a risk with this purchase. So glad I did.

First time I’ve used a lawnmower for over 12 years but faced with front and rear gardens in my new house I’ve spent a lot of time deciding which lawn mower to get.
I swayed between getting a cordless or electric then once I’d decided on corded for the value and power it was then down to which manufacturers to choose from.
So after trolling through all the reviews for the established big companies I decided on this Murray mower after all the positive reviews.
So now for the main info.
The setup was not was easy as it should be though to be fair it’s only fitting two parts of a handle together then attaching the grass box. The main issue was that the screw assemblies were different supplied than shown in the manual.
Anyway once this issue was resolved (10 mins to convince it was ok) it was onto the garden.
This is where I gained the most confidence in the product. You get a great range of height adjustment which I used both ends of the range for different parts of the front and rear lawns. No problems it just cut through with no fuss and with a great results. The grass box held enough grass to mean little emptying was needed and also simple to empty.
After the grass was cut there was little cleaning required and it was placed into the garage (didn’t bother to attempt folding the handle)
The whole mower feels like good quality and I like the fact it’s got metal blades as my last mower used plastic ones which were easily damaged.
Can speak for long term ownership but if there are any problems hopefully the long warranty will cover it, but so far so good
Needing a new mower, and looking at the most popular brands, but not happy with the similar high price tags most all had, but then I noticed this model, which at first sight looked impressive and seemed to have all the same features as all the others had, but at a cheaper price, and with a 5-year guarantee included as well, so I bought one and very pleased that I did too, it cuts the grass just as it should, it has 7 different cutting heights which are easy to alter with the well-positioned lever on the top side, the grass collection facility is good with a large volume bin for the cuttings which is easy to empty, the side combs seem to work well pulling in the grass from the edges, and I also liked the option to use the mulching attachment included, instead of collecting the cut grass. The mower seems to cope with longer grass good too, but I think it is better to be done in stages, reducing the cutting height each time, which doesn’t add any extra effort on the motor, the wheels are a good size with larger ones at the rear, which makes it easier to maneuver than other makes I have owned in recent years, it doesn’t have a rear roller so it doesn’t leave stripes on the grass, but I can live without that, the very basic instructions on how to assemble the handle could be clearer, although it isn’t hard to work out how its done, however, the grass collection box could be a better design, as sometimes it loses some of the clippings from underneath, which are the only 2 faults I can find worth a mention, all things considered, this is a good machine to cut a lawn with, and leaves similar results in appearance, as a more expensive mower would do, and is a good buy for the asking price

Should have bought one of these sooner. Been using a hover mower which didn’t manoeuvre very well, was very loud, vibrated heavily and sprayed grass everywhere. Then it broke down. Drive assembly spare was too expensive. Time for a change I thought. Was thinking about a Bosch Rotak or similar but they all had rollers (I don’t need stripes on my lawn) and common complaints about grass bins not lining up and plastic handles breaking etc. Saw the Murray EC370. It was similar to the Bosch but had 5yr warranty, no roller and other benefits like a chunky height adjuster and an insulated handle. Couple of bad reviews of course, but none of the mowers I was looking at had perfect reviews anyway so I decided to take a punt and I’m glad I did. All I can say is that it is better than my Flymo hover in every respect. I don’t ever write reviews so this is an exception. It’s heavier than the flymo but since it has a strong handle it’s relatively easier getting in/out of my garage. My only complaint are the assembly instructions which could stand improvement. But once assembled it was a breeze to use and with plenty of power for my garden. Chuffed.
Lovely electric machine to use and more powerful yet not as noisy. Great cutting height settings – 7 choices not the usual 5 and I have a wild flower section of lawn in the Spring so this is an ideal machine for this type of gardening. The catcher is larger, but fit could do to be improved from a design point of view. It does not always stay put on its “metal pegs”. 5 year Warranty is a great bonus – far more than usual. We need English franchising details for servicing/spares etc. This is a lovely machine with worldwide distribution.

My father in law wanted us to get him a lawnmower .his previous mower was us..he has health issues copd etc but finds this easy to use and recieved package set up himself ,,the 3rd time he has used it and is now fully fledged fan of the machine…

After reading mixed reviews of this mower we decided to purchase. For a mower under 100 it’s exactly what I needed. It assembles easy, it is sturdy, it cuts fine. Just done a first cut on longish wet grass and it copes well. Glad we got this one as others have plasticky cutting adjusters that may not last. On top a five year warranty for peace of mind. Yep, no negatives at all.
This new Murray lawn mower is just he job. Lightweight and easy to use with a blade height adjustment that is so easy to change. The large rear wheels make the task of mowing even easier.
