The overall package is superb. Comes in a decent quality zip bag. Comes with everything I needed. I had an Ethernet cable that someone had previously put through a doorframe that I needed to cut and reattach the RJ45 connector. With this kit and minimal YouTube research it took about 15 minutes. It just works in a self-explanatory way. I’ve found a couple of errors with this and it’s saved me so much time running in between places to determine which wire is which.
Does exactly what it is supposed to do, and has enabled me to fix a number of issues that were restricting my home network to 100mbps. Now everything is running at 1000mbps, all thanks to this great little tester. Fantastic value for money. Yes, it feels a bit cheap, but it works and does the job perfectly. What do you expect for under 10!
This is very easy to use but you can feel its cheap. Works for intended purpose and its handy to have it in the drawer but if you are looking for something what you will use regularly I would recommend to pay the extra money and get branded product.
If you make up your own RJ45, RJ11 cables or just want to test ready made cables before installation, this cable tester is a must have. It is very easy to use and shows up disconnections, short circuits and incorrect connections. Any fault found will show a “no-glow” LED indicator at both ends. Bear in mind that a fault found could be at either end of the cable. It uses a 9v battery. I suggest you disconnect the battery (and turn it round in the battery compartment) when not in use as this tester has a soft-start function which means it is drawing a small current continuously. Highly Recommended.
I was really impressed with this kit, it really has anything you might need for your work on network. All in all, considering the price, this is really good value for money.
I have been converting a small bedroom to an office but also a mini data room.
In order to provide internet to the room, I needed to run a Cat-6 cable around the house and terminate in some RJ45 Sockets on the wall.
Plugged a cable in each end and put these on it and they worked perfectly indicating there was no problem with the cable.
Happy to recommend.
I’ve only used the kit lightly & that’s unlikely to change in the future.
Everything works as it should & quality, at this price point, is very acceptable. If you need top quality kit for professional or heavy use, maybe look elsewhere. If it’s occasional DIY stuff though, look no further.
Pass through connectors are much easier to work with than standard versions & I don’t remember which came with this kit. If you use pass throughs, be careful when trimming the wire ends so as to avoid short-circuits.
I bought this to test my internal network connections and it does what it says on the tin.
I haven’t tried the wiring tools yet but the network cable tester is very useful to diagnose cables. I used it and identified I was using a wrong cable in part of my home network. I have replaced that cable as a result. Handy kit to keep around the house just in case of emergencies.
Took me a couple of goes to wire the first end correctly, but that’s not the fault of the product. Comes with everything you need to make ends on network cable, we’ll made and works well.
I needed to a couple ethernet cables and to install a keystone socket. This pack was great as had all the tools to get me started. The tester works well, confirms the connections are good before packing everything away
I had bought a network switch for the house to expand the number of ethernet ports and have more devices hardwired. This was my 1st attempt at replacing RJ45 plugs where the small tab to hold it in place had broken. This kit made it very simple and the instructions were really clear. Just line up the 8 wires between thumb and forefinger, push into supplied plug (not forgetting the cover first), insert into the crimper and squeeze. The crimper itself is solid and good quality. Once that’s done, the 2 testing units make it easy to see if you’ve got your wires crossed or a bad connection / break in the cable. All in all, invaluable wee kit if you’re trying to get devices off your Wifi and wired directly to your router.

Ich habe mich frs selbst crimpen entschieden und dazu dieses Set gekauft.
Zum set:
Das set bietet alles was man zum erfolgreichen crimpen braucht. Selbst eine kleine Erinnerungslektre wie die inneren Kabel gelegt werden mssen Ist dabei.
Der Tester funktioniert super. Habe testweise extra ein Kabel gecrimped wo 4 der strnge vertauscht waren bzw nicht richtig gekrimpt waren. Der Tester hat es perfekt erkannt.
Auch die Klingen und Cutter sind super angepasst und tun was sie sollen.
Eine Packung Endstcke gab es dazu und diese habe ich direkt verbraucht 🙂
Von mir klare 5 Sterne fr ein tolles Set das keine Wnsche offen lsst.
Ich habe brigens cat6 Kabel verlegt. Wer sich also nicht sicher ist ob man damit cat6 crimpen kann. Ja kann man 😉
Really good comprehensive kit. Managed to fit out all the networking points that I needed with ease. Everything works as it should do and the tester made sure all sockets and plugs were functioning correctly.
Used it to install ethernet ports all around the house along with some access points.

Got this for an Ethernet going from my lounge to my garage. Very easy to use and the instructions are good. The tester is great and lets you know if you messed up 🙂

Even a dunce like me figured it out.
Don’t know when i’ll ever use it again now that i’ve installed what i needed but it was brilliantly simple to use.
Overall this product is fantastic, just a couple of things let it down.
1. The instructions should cover all items.
2. The yellow wire strippers are cheap and fell apart after 1 week.
This kit is great! The cable checker is a great addition to anyone working in a DC or even running home CAT5-8 cable.
The crimper is great – connects on the first squeeze but I think the blades for cutting could be aligned better.
I would recommend this to anyone that works in a DC even occasionally.

I have a cable running from my router to the TV on another floor.
It stopped working a few weeks ago but being disabled it would have been really hard to replace.
I didn’t know if there was a problem with the connectors or somewhere along the cable but I thought this was worth a go before getting someone in to replace the cable.
It has everything you need included. Even a battery for the cable tester. I watched a YouTube video to figure out what order the coloured leads go and ten minutes later everything was back up and running.
Can’t fault it. No doubt there’s lots of much better quality etc but for someone just wanting to fix a cable for their home network this has everything you need.

Lots of negative reviews, but personally my faith paid off, the crimper works fine.
Tester is accurate, correctly reported the 8th (right-most) wire not making proper contact.
The RJ45s are good – not much else to note about them, but I must note, I am very happy with the connector covers. I didn’t think they would be the highlight of the process, but it makes everything look much neater than bare exposed wires.
The multifunctional wire stripper takes a moment to get used to, but works really well.
The mini wire stripper also works great.
I don’t personally need the punchdown tool, but it seems and feels sturdy.
The case is very handy though the straps inside are a bit too tight – difficult to put everything back in.
All in all, great product for the money. Is it top of the line? Absolutely not – but you can’t realistically expect that from a 23 tool; but for a 23 tool, this is top quality! Highly recommended.

What a fantastic little set. Really easy to use and great instructions. I’ve never terminated a network cable before before and this kit gave me everything I need and some very clear instructions on what to do. Really really pleased with it.

Used to shorten a CCTV input cable and took a couple of attempts to get the connections right but all is working fine now. Good product and well made – value for money.
Work’s fine. I’ve done about 12 crimps and every one has been perfect first time. No idea how long it will last, looks the same as some of the more expensive tools. It will only get used every now and then so it’s excellent value for money for me, I didn’t want to spend loads on a tool that isn’t used often.
Instructions are very poor and only explain the minimal info needed.. Lots of features that I can’t use without instructions, especially the cutters. So annoying to have to experiment with it to see what it will do, so would have had 5 stars if I had proper instructions!! Can’t find info on the internet to explain it properly either. The connectors that came with it are NOT pass-through which is what I thought was in the kit (it’s much easier to see if the wires are correctly fitted when using the pass-through connectors) but I think it does crimp and trim them.. but again I don’t know without instructions, so next time I order some connectors I will get the pass-through type to try.
Wiring tester is excellent cheap tool, it tests the cables you’ve made and easily traces the correct cables when they are bunched together. Numerous wire trimmers and cutters in the kit, not sure what they are all for.
Generally well worth keeping this comprehensive kit in your tool box -just in case.

Used this for my little home network project. It helped get the job done. Made crimping rj45’s a breeze.
Great network tools kit for an intermediate level user and worth investing in. The kit has a heavy-duty Rj11 and RJ45 crimping plier which can be used for all kind of work from the home user to the advanced level with a heavy-duty punch down tool. It also contains two wire strippers suitable only for rj11 and rj45 cables and not recommended for all other kinds of cable because of its plastic material.it also contains a basic level of wire tester personally I do not recommend this wire test for professional work but highly recommended if you don’t require to test in long-range for example want to test a cable which is connected to a server which is somewhere else in building and RJ11 or RJ45 wall socket is in another place because there is no buzzer or wireless connection to identify the connection at another side of that cable. However, personally, it’s a great network tool kit and Highley recommended for electricians and home users within the price range.

Everything you need to get started with Ethernet Cabling.
Crimp tool feels well made, and comfortable in your hand, it does both RJ45 and RJ11 plugs. it also has built in cable tripper and cutter.
In the kit there is also a punchdown tool useful for dealing with patch panels, allowing quick and easy cabling to be done.
The network tester is a basic continuity tester, which works quite well to identify poorly crimped or incorrect wiring of ethernet cables. A battery is also included. the switch allowes for normal or slow pulses.
There’s even a bag of RJ45 plugs and Rubber cable boots, and cable ties.
All in, it’s a good starter kit, and includes almost everything you’d need to get started. Good to have in your toolbox just in case you have to deal with some network cable issues.

This kit has everything you could need for plugging your lan cable, the wire stripper with the adjustable blade I really like, it also has everything for telephones (tools) the lan cable checker is a must, you don’t want to make a cable and it does not work!
Great supply time, really useful kit with good quality spares and tools. Saves a 60 call out for a tech to check house cabling condition. Would be good if supplied with short patch leads for the test tools.

Need to convert an internal telephone line to a a data line. So needed at min 2 of the tools included in this.
The punch tool and the stripper where the main ones, but the cable tester came in handy as well in the end, as I wired the plugs up wrong!
This kit was a life saver, and save me time and money hiring an electrician. Never wired cat5 wires before, this kit had all I needed to get the job done.

This kit has just about all the tools a network engineer could need, in one handy case. I could have spent much more and got slightly better quality, but I think this is very good value for what you get.
This was bought as a backup kit so I always have a set of tools in the van – not for daily use, but for this purpose I can’t fault it.
Product was amazing, actually used it as soon as it got delivered, really easy to use, feels like a really good quality and really sturdy material.

Currently doing a complete re-wire of my entire house and needed a toolkit to get the job done.
After reading several reviews, I decided to buy this one and I couldn’t be happier with it.
The packaging is excellent and everything comes in a nice zipped carry case, which helps you keep everything together.
The included crimpers are excellent. They are really tight and give you nice tactile feedback when using them due to the racket system, a huge bonus.
The cutting and stripping device is also excellent, it takes the cable casing off with ease and has a removable and replaceable blade which is always good to have.
The testing kit, does what it says on the tin. No complaints here, LEDs help you check.
The RJ45s again do the job, nothing special but they are perfect for their need.
The punch down tool, I haven’t used this yet but when I do I shall update this section.
All in all, this is the perfect set for your home. I have a professional one at work and this is closer in comparison than you may first think.

So I will break down the review into the individual components.
So firstly the most important part, The crimpers. These work really well, They are nice and tight in the action and even have a ratchet system in place! Not really required but still a nice touch.
I think they actually perform better than my work set which is much more pricey!!
I used them on both the RJ45s in the set and my normal ones from work with no failures.
The Cutter/Stripper: Does what it needs to do, Was set to cut much to deep out of the pack and I had some trouble getting it to adjust as it had been wound down to far so it had come out of the adjustment screw.
Obviously a easy fix but be aware if you go to strip a end without checking first!!
The tester: Works fine and does exactly what it needs to do, Nice bright green LED lights 🙂
RJ45 Connectors: Do exactly what theyneed to do work fine.
Punch Down Tool: Works ok but this if anything is the one thing that lets the set down in my opinion.
It does the job but if you look closely at the module picture I attached its not that clean.
I personally prefer the Auto punch down tools with the impact/cutter built in which you can buy separately for not much money.
All in all though a good set with everything you need for home networking.

I am not professional like some buyers here, i bought this as necessary tools for my hobby which is vintage computer. Often have to fix cut cords or make new converter for keyboards and this works wonder.
