For the price point ?
Very impressive sound and battery life – pretty cool case and looks funky – not as good as my airpod pros but way cheaper and a fantastic buy !
I love them - amazing for the price
I actually like these in white more than black. The app is good too but I wish it had more settings available for the equaliser. The widget is also great but I just wish when you tapped the ear buds on the widget it would open the app, currently it doesn’t do anything.
The lightest With Quality
The Nothing Ear 1 sound on par or slightly better than what you would expect. Don’t expect any miracles at this price point, but the 11.6mm drivers offer clear audio, bass that isn’t overpowering, and solid mids and lows.
They aren’t going to beat $200-$300 earbuds, but the Ear 1s hold their own.
Being able to wear these for long periods is helped by solid battery life. Nothing states that the Ear 1s should last you roughly 5.7 hours of listening time with a combined 34 hours using the case’s 570mAh battery (with active noise cancellation (ANC) turned off). Those estimates are cut down to 4 hours of listening time and 24 hours with the charging case with ANC turned on.
The best i have found to fit my weirdly shaped ears!!
Sound quality is good but not great, noise cancellation is good but not great. They are though very comfortable. I have tried many pairs to try and find a decent fit because of my small ears and these are the best by far.
Amazing, good battery and amazing sound
Amazing eqr buds well worth the money, lares seemlessly and anc and pass though work really well, I use anc at work to remove the loud ass fan noise. The sound quality is on point and the battery life is more than goodenough usaly lasing about 8h with anc or passthough off and 6 with it on, over all would highly reccomend
Great for the price
First off I got these on prime day for 60, for that price these are amazing . Very comfortable to wear , sound good. Did have some issues pairing but restart of phone and re install app solved it . Noise cancellation is ok but not up others .
Outstanding
I don’t write many reviews on products but the ones I do have clearly done something correct
These headphones are the business , let me get one thing straight I also own air pod pros paid full price and by far the sound quality of these nothing ear 1 beats apple easily for me , I listen to many many genres of music and the bass and mid tones beats them hands down , the design of the headphones and charging case is a work of art , although to apple air pod pro charging case fits nicely into jeans pocket , the ANC is good on the nothing ear but not as good as air pod pros but I’m all about the music and these headphones easily beats the pros , comfort is second to none much better than air pod pros
Treat yourself to these at a great price you won’t regret i
Finally found great earbuds
This is the 4th brand I’ve tried and best yet. They don’t fall out when gardening or walking, great fit silicon tips and sound cancellation easy to switch on &off either with the app or by tap and hold. Occasionally hard to pause without actually removing but usually works just by tapping. The design and the case is worthy of Apple. Perfect.
Beautiful beautiful
Best looking earbuds.
Now the sound quality is good
Noise canceling also good
Battery life is alright
Controls are alright
My only complaint is the in ear detection when its windy outside or if you just adjust it in your ear sometimes it’s stops playing especially with the wind outside it will stop and then play again and stop one’s more u get the idea
Well i just turn off the in ear detection not really a deal breaker for me but might be for you and I don’t know maybe it might just be in my case.
Anyway just ordered another pair this time the black color
Why? I certainly don’t need 2 pairs you say well I wouldn’t if I hadn’t lost the left one
I was riding minded my own business listening to some Kanye turn to look at a cute puppy and it flew out of my ear couldn’t find
Honestly super surprised
I got these simply because im clumsy and i tend to lose my earbuds a lot and i didnt wanna spend 250 and lose them again. I didnt expect the product to be this good. Honestly the quality of the sound is amazing. I ve had samsung pro and also airpods pro as well and the quality is more r less the same but it costs less than half….. I cant comment on the battery life because i just got them but quality wise they are absolutely amazing. Great job
Good all round
Really nice earphones overall. Easy to connect to, sound really good. Controls can be abit fiddily. Stay in your ears well. Battery life will last half a day maybe on constantly. Only gripe with them really is sometimes they get out of sync with eachother and will stop playing when I turn my head as I think the sensor thinks it’s out my ear when it’s not.
Best earphones
I like the looks and the sound very much. The only thing I didn’t like very much is the case, it’s too bulky IMO, but it doesn’t really matter.
Great at this price poi
These normally sell for 99 but you can sometimes get a little discount on it. I think I paid 87 for them.
These are great for it’s price. Noise cancellation is excellent. They look great. The bass is very lacking even when I use their app and tune the EQ. That’s my only complaint.
The controls are easy to use. You can change some gestures on the app but not all.
These do have wireless charging which wasn’t obvious on the product page.
Good pair of earbuds for its price
Purchased this item with Amazon promotion, it’s good pair of earbuds for its price, but don’t expect AirPod Pro level audio
Pros:
Significantly cheaper than competitors – Apple, Sony and etc
Good audio quality
Active noise cancellations
Frequent firmware updates
Good looks
Good battery life and last forever
Cons:
Noise cancellation is weaker than AirPods Pro
Notification when changing mode to noise cancellation is confusing, never know when it’s on
Fiddly controlling system
Sound quality needs to be improved, considering it has larger driver than AirPods Pro, but SQ is not as good
Note:
Earlier firmware version had disconnection issues, but the latest firmware had resolved the issue
People said on Reddit black ones have less issues than the white ones (I have the white ones)
I got them back in September and I reckon they’ve updated at least 8 times since then, so since release they must have received more than 10-15 software updates (not counting the app itself), so take that into account when reading reviews. They had a bumpy release. My review after +6 months:
ANR: It does a great job but don’t expect 100% noise cancellation, it’s an 80 pair of airbuds. (Sony’s flagship ANR buds are +250..). That being said, taking a flight with these changed my initial opinion drastically. It does an amazing job with constant buzzing sounds, to the point I don’t think I’ll be able to fly or take a train again without these. I fly at least 3-4 times a year so a massive game changer for me.
Battery: They charge super fast! If I take a 4:20h flight they last with ANR on around 3h30, probably more without it. Then I just put them on the case 5-10 min and can use them the rest of the flight. I think for most users this should be more than ok.
Connectivity: Instant pairing, that says it all. The only thing missing is multidevice support (having it connected to two devices simultaneously). That’s a bummer for me but I knew that when I bought them. It doesn’t automatically forget devices when you pair them to a new one though, so you don’t need to set them up everytime. They just can’t connect at the same time.
I have to note something here though. The airbuds turn on/connect the moment you open the case, not when you pull them out. It’s happened to me a few times that I pulled them out too quick (before the green light of the case turns on) and I’d be left with one of the airbuds unpaired. It takes half a second for the light to turn on, so not a big a deal at all, just be aware.
Sound: I’ve used Sony earphones in the same price range most of my life and I found these quite comparable in sound quality. So perfect:). Volume-wise, like most earphones nowadays, I depends on the device. I’ve had no issue at all with my Pixel phone and MacBook air, they are pretty loud. I had on my old android tablet, but if you physically turn the volume on sliding your finger on the airbud it overrides the volume output of your device (that’s the common solution for low volume on most airbuds with physical volume control btw).
All in all I don’t regret the purchase at all and can’t wait for a second iteration with multi device support. Just by how often they’ve been updating these to refine the product gives me some faith.
AirPods competition.
Great design, aesthetic and fit. Noise cancellation is good, mostly at higher volumes where no noise can be heard at all. It feels like the battery lasts forever. I rarely ever charge them and I use them a lot. Definitely recommend, the price is way too low for such quality.
Second time around… and I’ll be keeping them this time!
Bought these along with many others when they were first released. I believed the hype and they were terrible. Connection issues, dropping out randomly, had a mind of their own. I returned them.
Fast forward to May 2022 and I decided to give them another go since the firmware had been updated. Sorted! At least mine are. They had the same issues out of the box so my heart sank, but once I updated the firmware they have been faultless for a couple of weeks. I use them daily on multiple calls for work. In and out the box, connecting and then put away again. Perfect every time.
The reason for four stars is the ANC. Not as good as AirPod Pros. The best I’ve tried are Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros and they don’t come close but I like the fit in my ear which is the main reason I’m pleased with these and the fact they have addressed the issues.
I’ll be keeping them this time.
I bought my first pair of nothing ear ones in December 2021 and they were great for 3-4 months until one of the earbuds stopped producing audio but it was fine i assumed it was a one-off so i contacted customer support and i received a new pair they were fine for a day but then i started to hear a high pitch ringing noise and then i was sat down listing to a podcast when they rung really loud and then just stopped working from then on so i have received a refund now witch is fine. but I don’t this reflects all user’s experiences with these headphones I think this is a one-off occasion. overall i was very happy with the earbuds they where extremely light and comfortable and good sounding so i would 100% recommend them but just keep the above in mind
Value for Money
I use it with my iPhone 13 Pro. The sound quality is excellent. ANC is working correctly. I use it with gesture controls. It helps to control easily. The design is charming. People ask which brand it is. I am happy to spend 100 less compared with AirPods pro.
Brilliant features for the price.
Overall these earbuds are very good. I would recommend to others.
These are a great price and have more features than AirPods at a cheaper price.
Love that these wirelessly charge. Have other features like:
In ear detection (not bad, recent update seems to have improved it)
Noise cancellation is pretty good
Battery life is okay. Case has good battery life but earbuds not so much.
I like i
Great price and great earphones. Got them for flying as my last earphones fell in a bucket of water and didn’t recover. Will update next time I fly. Sound really nice.
Pretty good
Good product, I’m quite happy with it. Pretty low profile so I can lay my head without it pressing into my ear. It sometimes cuts out for a second however, I don’t know if that is my phone. The range could be longer, With my old ear phones I could have my phone upstairs and listen to it from downstairs but not a huge complaint.
Good as everyday earphones
But not highfi level so don’t expect audio excellence. Anc is decent (great for the price) but not as good as overhear headphones on the market.
Use in the office and battery life is good but won’t get you through a whole day’s use (especially with Anc on)
Absolutely stunning product!! Pound for Pound, easily the best tech product I have ever bought.
I almost never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so in this instance such is the quality of these headphones.
From innovative, stylish packaging (no battling with plastic/scissors etc just to open your purchase) to amazing product design and stunning sound/performance, the attention to detail is superb as well as being so comfortable to use.
They knock the Apple airpods into a cocked hat and, at the head scratchlingly low price of 80.00, ‘Nothing’ is a company to watch. If they produce other products of this quality and value, all I can say is watch out Apple!!
Excellent Clear Sound, Great ANC
I’ve had a few wireless earbuds over the last few years, (Tronsmart, Jabra etc…) which I use for phone calls, music & podcast listening. I’ve read & watched many reviews on mid-priced ANC wireless earbuds & have had the Nothing Ear (1) on my wish list since they launched last year. Picked them up at a reduced price.
* Build quality is good, with sturdy case & earbuds have “Cyberpunk Future Retro” look which I Like.
* Sound quality is excellent, they are on par with the best earbuds & can headphones I used. The Android
App is excellent with ANC, Equalizer & Ear buds touch controls.
* I worn them for excess of 3hrs with medium tips with no ear aches or discomfort.
* As runner they are comfy and don’t drop out. Plus water resistant.
* ANC modes are really good, muting out large parts of environment noise. Transparency mode is
excellent allowing you to hear an enhancement of your environment while music playing.
* Battery life is good 3-5hrs constant use with ANC on.
* Bluetooth connection to my Pixel 6 has been strong with no drops & clear sound with music, podcasts,
voice calls (data & cellular). Connection to other devices like my Nintendo Switch & Windows PC also
great.
* Charging case is little bigger than earbuds I’ve used in the past, however build quality is top notch with
usb-c & wireless charging.
I gave my £250 AirPods Pro to my wife
They look amazing, they sound amazing and they fit great! I was genuinely shocked when comparing it with my AirPods Pro… The latter does give a bit sharper and clearer sound but the Nothing Ear (1)s have a lot more bass to them and sound a bit fuller, which I like.
Negatives:
– Plays well with iPhones but it’s just not the same as the AirPod Pros in terms of features (and I still would rather have Nothing Ear (1)s!!!)
– The case, while looks great, it is a bit bigger than it needed to be
I purchased these for about 80 and compared to the AirPod Pro pricing… You could buy 3 of these for the same price.
Amazing for the price
Having had Skullcandy Indy earbuds for years I really wasn’t looking for another set at the cheaper end of the spectrum as the sound is so flat and they don’t fit well at all. I’ve been hanging on for the airpod pro 2s and was just looking for a cheap wired set of earphone when these popped up on a YouTube video and I have to say I’m amazed.
The ANC is decent for this price level and the sound is great too. Now I’m not an “audiophile” so I can’t vouch if there’s too much base or treble etc. but everything sounds good. They also connect to separate devices simply and quickly too without having to pair each time I change. The main thing that I love though is the fit. I’ve just done 2hrs of gardening and they didn’t budge! They were so comfortable that, if it want for the music playing I wouldn’t have noticed them.
Amazing product - regardless of price.
I used to have Beats Studio Buds…but they now look about 10 years old vs these from Nothing.
The sound quality is excellent for the money. I am not an audiophile and just wear them to the gym and they are absolutely perfect for me.
The touch controls also work perfectly every time, which I wasn’t expecting. No idea how they work at all!
Case and packaging and overall design is so much better than any competitors. It is a quality product and it shows.
Very excited to see what other products Nothing release.
I love these, I’ve watched reviews and asked people about them and can agree they are WORTH EVERY PENNY, were the Samsung Buds are 100+ and the Apple Air Pods are 200+ (I forgot the actual price) fully customisable, soft feeling WHILE having them full blast, I can honestly say I have sold, thrown or even given my other ear phone just cause of how great these are….6hrs of play without the box 28hrs WITH the box all for 100 pounds….you just can’t argue with that.
Good, but have flaws.
The anc is fantastic, the sound is decent, however the case seems flimsy and I lost bluetooth connection a lot, and my phone was half a metre away. Great effort, but not for me, I’ll be sending mine back.
Edit : I bought these again to give them a second chance, because when I sent these back I went back to my Samsung buds, and wow the difference was amazing! So I thought I’d try them again, set them up and yup, they sounded great. I went to try them again an hour later and the battery on the right one was dead. So I charged them up again, they worked, then the following day, dead again. So unfortunately I had to send them back….. Again. 5/4/22
These work, 87 on offer at the time, I enjoy these but the latest firmware seems like it reduced volume and clarity from the Eq of these as Nothing doesn’t give you a full customisable EQ in the app.
However, for the price these are stylish, unique, sound Okay (not amazing but okay), the bass is punchy, can sound a little boomy at 80% volume and over, mids, highs and lows are clean but not the best, not very crispy earbuds, these are designed to work for modern pop, electronic, hip-pop, and maybe a little bit rap. Vocals are not very present but are okay, I used them for podcasts quite a bit and never had problems but normally service’s like Spotify and YouTube tend to band their own EQ’s for this.
If you are looking to stand out for style, decent audio, and ANC these are all around okay.
Great fit and sound
Used these for a good few hours now and pleased with the sound, ANC and fit. Other buds I have had tend to fall out of my ears but these fit well and there have been no problems. The app is nice and simple, good info and easy to use.
Haven’t bothered messing with the controls on the buds themselves though, I use the app or the phone.
Very pleased overall, great looking as well.
A broadcaster's choice
As a former breakfast show broadcaster, I do considerable amount of research before buying any audio equipment. When I decided to buy bluetooth earphones I was met with a dizzying array of options, but when I focused on cost and quality, my research whittled those down to a handful. My wife has a pair of Apple AirPods Pro, which are amazing but pricey. At the end, these Nothing ear (1) buds came out amongst the top few choices. What really attracted me was the industrial design and the company’s ethos. I liked the fact it’s a London-based startup using Swedish technology. The buds arrived bang on time, were easy to set up on my iPhone and Mac, and sound amazing – as good as the AirPods Pro, and so good, that I bought a second pair for my son.
Really classy almost cyberpunk looks
Had AirPods Pro that lasted a year before breaking and didn’t want to spend that money again so I went for a cheaper set of earpieces. These are 95% apple AirPods for 150 cheaper. Only noise cancellation not on par with AirPods and I can’t tell the difference with everything else. These are good looking quality built bits of tech.

Excellent product, comfortable despite my small ear canals and excellent battery life
Fit well – which was great as I have small ear canals.
Battery life so far has exceeded my expectations.
Love the box and way the ear phones store to charge.
Comfortable, easy to use, great value
I have gone through a number of ear buds, but the nothing ear, is one of the best I have had. They are worth getting if looking at the apple or Samsung ear bud, and for a fraction of the cost, great features for the volume and skipping tracks.
AirPod Pros for less than half the price
They do pretty much everything AirPods do. But for less than half the price. Incredible noise cancellation and sound quality. And they just work. But by all means still buy the Apple version if you are insecure and need to follow the crowd.
I got these as having to fiddle with a dongle to use my good in-ears with my phone while on public transport to get to work.
These actually sound way better than my wired in-ears and are a tad more comfortable when sat up.
When relaxing a tad too much, for example when using them in bed, they can get a tad uncomfortable but it’s nothing deal-breaking (at least for me).
They sound pretty ‘big’ for lack of a better term, having plenty of space for deep, punchy bass without muffling the top-end.
The active noise-cancelling is pretty nice, it’s not perfect, but it’s good. It perfectly filters out the engine noise on busses or conversations from other travellers on trams. I can’t speak for its efficacy for engine noise on planes but I imagine it’s good enough. The ‘transparency’ is also a nice touch.
When I first started using them, I did have an issue where the audio between the two earphones would desync before cutting out and then reconnecting properly synced up again but, while I can’t say for certain, it seems to have been fixed in a firmware update(?) All I know is that the I stopped having those issues some time in December.
The Nothing “ear (1)” android app works well but feels a little barren. Just feels like it was designed to have more settings and features but only gives you the option to enable/change the level of noise cancelling or transparency, and lets you set the touch controls on the stems between its only option or disabling it.
On the touch controls, you can change the settings individually for each ear, there are 4 primary ones:
1. Tap & Hold – This changes the noise cancelling. This one can be disabled.
2. Double Tap – This is a media play/pause toggle. This one cannot be disabled.
3. Triple Tap – This is a media next/previous song control. This can be disabled.
4. Slide the stem – This is a volume control. You slide down to decrease the volume, and slide up to increase the volume. This cannot be disabled.
TL;DR – These are great, have nice features and priced well considering that these are competing with products that are 1.5-2x the price.
Got these for my commute to work, they're great!

Good sound and great desig
The sound quality was good for this price bracket, and the design of the earbuds and the case is unique and actually beautiful. They are nice to hold and wear and have a perfect weight for my liking. My only issue was the sound cancellation – it was not good enough for my train/tube journeys. The settings on the app did not seem to make much difference. Maybe in the next firmware upgrade, this will be resolved. I, unfortunately, had to return them
Worth the money. Needs some EQ tweaking from an external app but very impressed.
After much deliberation I decided to take the plunge and buy these. Whilst looks wise they are great I was slightly worried about audio quality. Pleasantly surprised when first trying and with the use of an EQ app from the play store (loads to choose from) these sound great. Battery life good and the ANC is decent.
Very pleased and no connectivity issues what so ever so far. There was a firmware update as soon as I paired these to my phone which looks to have fixed the issues people flagged a few months back
9/10

Overall good
Everything was okay except sometimes when I try to connect to one ear it takes long to make the connectio
Better than expected
4/5. Better than expected, decent sound, pairs quickly & effortlessly. Comfortable to wear in bed. Battery hasn’t been an issue. Good enough for me to have ditched wired earbuds completely. Loses one point for sometimes being paused by long hair that should be easy enough not to recognise as a double tap.
These earphone are simply amazing.
FIT – they come with several silicone replacements to fit different ear sizes. I’ve used airpod pros and galaxy buds in the past and found these fit incredible. I wear them for 3+ hours at a time and never feel like they slip out or I never feel any discomfort.
SOUND – I listen to Apple Music lossless audio and podcasts. With the lossless audio these absolutely shine. Never heard anything sound so crisp and clear, literally hear everything on the track! Even the artists taking there breathe. The sound stage is great, I can hear things behind me at times and if you find a good track these are unmatched.
NOISE CANCELLATION AND TRANSPARENCY – the both modes are good I’d rate them 7.5/10. They do enough to cancel noise and the transparent mode is good enough too. I do just listen on normal mode as I find they offer a nice seal so don’t need these modes. I have found that listening with ANC and my volume up to the highest that the audio quality suffers but the remedy to this is to just turn it off and the sound quality is better.
They look so great when you have them in your ears by far the best looking earphones out there. The price is simply crazy considering all the things I’ve listed above, I’d be happy paying double for these. So great having earphones that actually fit my ears and not only that they stay put too.
Can’t recommend them enough! Such a great product.
They are great. The sound is crisp and clear but with plenty of great bass, the earphones build quality is excellent and they look stunning. They are plenty loud and unlike the galaxy buds i used to have where i could keep them at max volume no problems, these get so much louder. The ANC is also acceptable and the transparency sounds basically the same as if they weren’t in your ear which is really good. I only have had them for 2 days but i gotta say, the battery life is still great. I won’t be listening for more than 4 hours and the fact that you can charge the case for just 10 minutes and get 8 hours of battery life with the case is great! The case can be a bit big but i don’t mind it. The earbuds themselves look amazing
The only other cons i found are that the equaliser is pretty basic and the case hinge isn’t the most sturdy.
Overall these earbuds are good.
Update: they fixed most issues! Good job nothing!
And one more point now thag i used them for a long time.. the case battery lasts an amazing amount of time. I remember having to charge my galaxy buds almost every other day, but i barely charge these every fortnigh
Amazing earbuds
The noise cancellation is great and blocks out traffic really well. The sound quality on these are amazing (from a person who is picky with sound quality) the bass and mids are outstanding. The battery life is great, so far I have never run out. For the price these earbuds are in their own league, I have never bought an item with a better price to performance ratio. These earbuds are simply incredible. The only downside to these is they are not as seamless to connects as AirPods would. Despite this, I 100% recommended this product.

Awesome ear buds
First ear buds I’ve had with noise cancelling on them. Oh my god. It is an experience. Used these on a flight and worked perfectly, couldn’t hear the engine noise or passenger announcements, only the music being played. Sound from the eat buds is really good too. Would really recommend this produc

Excellent, for the price
Noise cancelling – Overall a fair experince. Perfectly cancels continuous sounds and works well in a car or beside a fan. However, in an environment with many sudden loud noises, such as a bus with vibrations or walking down a windy street the noise cancelling will turn off for a short peroid, i assume in an effort to not damage user hearing by outputting a loud sound. Its annoying, and you can’t turn it off, but it is a very specific scenario where this happens.
Sound- Great clarity at low and medium volumes, and the volume at which sound begins to distort is painfuk to listen to, so there is no worry about distortion. Voices are clear with crisp bass and treble, and there is 4 built-in EQ profiles in the app. However there is no custom EQ settings. The microhpone is good and about what you expect from a high-end pair of in ear headphones.
Comfort- I personally usually ahve problems with in-ear headphones slipping out, but this is not the case with thse. I use the pre-installed medium tips, and they fit perfeclty and i can do exercise and extreme head movements with them not moving at all.
User interaction- The intuitive slide up or down for volume control works amazing, and the touch bars overall almost always detect the action i am doing, with no ghost presses or anything else. Furthermore, over my 5 months of use they have never died. I use them every day for around 3 hours, and charge the case once a week, and they are perfect. The case charges from near dea to full in under an hour too.
Good for the price point, but not without flaws
For the price point, the noise cancellation, sound quality and battery life are pretty good. The freedom of wireless is a blessing if you’re use to wired earphones. These earphones are not for everyone though; I’m not sure if this would happen with everyone, but for me, my ears tend to push the earphones out when laughing or eating. I’ve ended up switching off the ear detection feature for this reason, since they kept pausing media.
There is an occasional audio hiccup where the sound will cut out and back in for a second, but it doesn’t happen frequently enough to be a major issue. The EQ settings are a bit bare-bones, and I wish there was an app for Windows like there is for Android (if there is, I haven’t found it anyway).
Overall a decent first product from Nothing, and decent entry-level ANC wireless earphones. Hopefully Nothing can make some tweaks for the next iteration.

My So
My son wanted an AirPods for Christmas and I did my research offering him other brands. Surprisingly, he said he wanted this brand which I have not heard of. After reading reviews, I am well convinced. At 11 years of age, he did a great job. That’s what all matters!
I love them, but still feels like a prototype
These are really good headphones for the money. Really good. They sound amazing, fit in my ear easily and the battery life is good (not amazing).
But the problem is they feel like a beta product. Occasionally…. note, occasionally, they may lose connection to my OnePlus phone or not connect properly when removed from the case.
Another thing I dislike if the fact you can’t buy a replacement case. If anything was to happen to my case, such as it being lost, I’d have to buy another pair. Not an issue with standard wired Bluetooth headphones.
Apart from that, great product.
Update: May 2022.
I still love them, but still feels like a beta product.
For the money, the sound is very, very good. I love the design, though wish the black version was released along with the white version. I would have gone for that, though that is.a personal design choice.
The issue I have is that it when I remove both buds from the case, there is a 50/50 chance both will understand they have been removed from the cade. This lead me to have to put the one that is not responding back in the case and remove it again in the hope it understands I want it to be active.
As a company that is trying to establish itself in the market, I want it to do it’s best. I’m excited for it’s upcoming phone, but for the fact I can’t rely on it to work on time, every time, is making me feel that I should go for more established brands (a la Google Pixel Bud and a Pixel Phone).
I would say, yes, these are great headphones, but it still feels like a beta.

Fanstastic quality, design, and sound
Can’t go wrong getting a pair of the Nothing ear (1)! Very excited about upcoming products from this company.
Don't sleep on these. They are the real deal.
I’m from the US and tried to buys these for months on the site when they would get restocked, but they sold out every time. It took me a while but I found them on the UK Amazon and got a pair. I did have to pay $50 more for them, but it was definitely worth the wait and the extra cost.
Really good for the price
Probably one of the greatest and coolest earphones that you can buy for 100. Sound quality is on point with all the other high end headphones of the market. One thing to keep in mind is that your able to change how the sound using the app. Noise cancellation is ‘okay’, it will make a noisy environment quieter, but you will not be in your own bubble if this is something that your looking for. On the other hand battery life is great. You could probably use them for a whole week and not have to recharge them (depending on the usage of course). Also, as an added bonus (and a great one at this point), is the design which deficiently is the cherry ob top of the cake. Overall, great earphones, at a great price.

Do the job
It took me a couple of weeks to settle with these but now I like them. Stylish and a fraction of the price of others I was looking at. Sound quality good and noise cancellation seems to work. Like the satisfying snap close of the case and the way the magnets pull the buds into place on the charger so you are assured they are charging.

Better than airpods
Having had 2 sets of airpods fade away with battery issues, a colleague recommended these, have used them on flights, in my classic car and also whilst using a leaf-blower, the noise cancelling is excellent, sound quality is very good. There is the occasional drop-out for a second or 2 (could be my old iphone), I just hope they last longer than the airpods.

Good intro to wireless ANC earbuds
I’ve had these for a couple of months now as an upgrade from Galaxy Buds+ because I wanted Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), and just bought some Sony WF-1000XM4s to accompany the Nothings. I’ll try to give my review in the context of how they’re an improvement compared to last gen wireless earbuds and how they compare to the high end earbuds that the Nothings are supposed to be flagship killers for.
I think most people will be purchasing these as an intro to ANC, and I think it does an ok job at that but you need to set your expectations correctly. The Nothings do a good job at knocking down the sounds around you by a few notches, which depending on the scenario could be plenty for what you want or disappointing. I find that car sounds in particular are not filtered well by the noise cancelling, although I wonder if this is a product of the relatively poor passive noise cancelling. The plus side of this is that the ambient sound passthrough is very good, I would say it’s the best out of the 3 buds in terms of how natural conversations feel when you have the buds in.
In particular regarding these being an intro to ANC, the pressure they exert with ANC on is quite strong compared to the XM4s and can take a little bit of getting used to so 1) take it easy on first try by not having ANC on for too long and switching to ambient or no noise cancelling before taking them out, and 2) if the pressure is still too much don’t be too discouraged from buying other higher end or next gen ANC earbuds.
Sound quality is better than the buds+, which were already fairly good, but it’s clearly held back by the bluetooth codec used and it would be much better if they supported up to date aptx codecs or LDAC. It’s not as good as the XM4s (as expected) but unless you’re used to high quality headphones you probably won’t notice much difference.
In terms of comfort they’re very comfortable in most circumstances. I wouldn’t wear them to bed because the stalk gets in the way, but otherwise the fit and light weight compared to other earbuds means you barely notice the feeling of them being in your ear once you’re used to them.
The control scheme is very intuitive compared to other buds. Often you need to choose between being able to control volume on the buds and doing something else, but the swipe control along the stem means that isn’t an issue on the Nothings. They don’t have a voice assistance control so if that is something you want then you will need to choose another earbud.
Battery life is alright for most purposes, you can’t get away with falling asleep with them in like other buds but they should last you through a day of work if you use your lunch break to put them back in the case.
Overall I think these are really good earbuds for the price point but you should be aware that you are making sacrifices somewhere. They’re more akin to buying a mid range phone than a flagship killer.
Looks great and fit comfortably in the ears.
I’ll admit that these don’t have the best sound quality going. I’m holding it for an update to the app which will give more customisation to the graphic equaliser.
That said, sound is still decent and they look fantastic. Battery life is very impressive, too.
Navigation while listening to music is easy and intuitive. Plus, the noise cancelling is very impressive (coming from someone who hasn’t used anything with ANC before.)
I would recommend these simply for the price point and aesthetics.

Forget AirPods Pro. Simplicity Optimised
The value for money for these headphones is excellent. The sound quality is very well balanced. You can obviously tailor to your taste through the apps EQ.
Noise cancelling
It is not a fad! Transparency mode feels like your not wearing headphones (as it should)! Noise cancelling has two modes light and heavy. Do not expect total silence. BUT they do an excellent job of minimising all external noise and that’s with no music playing. So very happy with this feature
Overall, a fantastic buy and highly recommended for the price

My new favourite casual buds
As a headphone nerd I’m always excited by the newest / coolest pair.
My freebuds died so needed a new pair for general use and mainly connecting to Chromecast. Something light and able to fast switch.
These fit the bill perfectly. Crazy light, more comfortable than the freebuds, super easy connection and switching and a beautiful case that makes charging so easy. Also love how you can change settings on the phone app even if they are connected to another device.
Ignore the silly reviews these are a steal at 99 and the fact that I own Nura buds and Samsung Buds 2 but grab these everytime speaks volumes!

great quality product - sounds amazing
great quality product, amazing noise cancellation functionality. these work so much better than ear pods ive had at three times of price of these ear 1’s and these come with more functionality and have a great design.

Good quality budget earpods
Very pleased with my first ever pair of ear buds or pods or whatever you call them. Having checked several reviews I decided to go for these. For the budget price, I am very impressed with everything really. The only minus point would be for the charging case which is a bit bigger than higher priced products.
Noise cancellation and pass through are both good. Batter life is fine, looks are pretty funky and the touch/tap functionality is comprehensive enough to render the associated app pretty redundant once you have the sound tweaked to your liking.
Very pleased that I spent the money on nothing.

Good but not grea
Good service and arrived on time, but not great sound quality overall. I would stick to well known brands
Solid earbuds, rivalling the Airpods
Good build quality and performance, just needs better customisation on the APP such as custom EQ, tap-binds, (I’d like single tap feature to play/pause rather than double) just small things that I know can be fixed
Great Purchase 👍
Well worth the money when compared to airpods/air pods pro, and great value for money. And the app that goes with them is really easy to use. I’ve had them for just over a week and I am using them every day.
I've owned B&W Pi7's....
I have to say these sound fantastic, they comfortable and I have excellent ANC. Having owned the B&W Pi7’s, which obviously cost 3-4 times more, and although sound quality is no match, I would say I’m enjoying the these more due to the comfort. Highly recommended.

Top quality sound and comfo
Nice and light, fits well in the ear and doesn’t fall out. The sound quality is crisp and clear with punchy bass. Had connectivity issues the first day but after a quick factory reset it worked perfectly with my android device.
At this price point these are excelle
Forget the hype; you need to try these to appreciate how good they are. They are not far off airpod pro quality – and those are 250! Well worth the money and what a fabulous design. Recommended
EXCELLENT ANC True Wireless Headphones
These blew me away. The ANC is some of the best I’ve heard at any price point, but for 99.99 these are an absolute steal. The build quality and design made me instantly fall in love. Coming from galaxy buds pro, the sound quality is comparable, maybe the buds pro have slightly deeper bass and cleaner mids.
The biggest thing for me is comfortability. I’ve owned a few samsung earphones now and after an hour or so they always became very uncomfortable. These headphones in comparison are very comfortable, I can leave them in for as long as needed.
Battery life has been impressive. I wasn’t a fan of the large case but with that you are getting lots of battery.
If you have any doubts on these headphones, I suggest watching Flossy Carter’s review on YouTube.

Worth the wai
I had these on back order for over a month, and I’m happy to say it was worth it. I own a pair of AirPods and these have a better fit and are very comfortable even when using for long periods.
They easily connected to my iPhone and after installing the app, which I would recommend you do. I was able to customise the sound features.
The Active Noise Cancellation feature works well and can be switched on and off by tapping one bud.
Sound quality is also excellent.
I think they are great value for money and the transparent case and earbuds make them stand out from the competition.
These are excellent value at more than half the price of competitors. They look very stylish, managing to look retro and futuristic at the same time. They are very comfortable and light. I was surprised, given the mixed reviews out there, to find that they sound very good. Perhaps the “v-shape” sound curve suits me (and I listen to mainly guitar music) but I didn’t think they lack bass, and the top end is pleasing and detailed. I have a pair of Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 and I wouldn’t say there is a huge difference (the Melomania has a little too much bass but a much more detailed midrange – the treble range is better on the Ear 1).
The noise cancellation is fantastic. These are my first ever true wireless ANC earbuds so I am hardly an expert, but again I was expecting something a bit half baked given the reviews out there. Not so. Within 5 mins of getting these I was marvelling at standing next to the kettle and turning the sound off (ANC mode) and on (transparent mode). It’s very well executed and effective.
The app is simple and nice looking. The case can be charged wirelessly. They’re less than 100. What more do we want?

Very impressive for £99
Very happy with my Ear(1) s . My partner loved mine so much that she got herself a pair too after using her Sonys for 2 months! The design is unique and very high quality. Well done to the Nothing team, excited to see what they bring out next. Tremendous value for money IMO
5stars in my book
For the price, this is a stellar piece of hardware. Yes, there are a few bugs to fix but I would definitely buy this for other people and recommend it over other earbuds in the same cost range.
These are simply the best earbuds I’ve ever had. The sound quality is amazing. The design is unique and super creative. Their capsule-shaped design is the best fit for my ears and they don’t fall off while moving or turning my head. They don’t hurt my ears when I am laying on the side. The stems are so small and it feels like there’s nothing in your ears when you turn your head on the pillow. That’s definitely one of my best purchases these days.
First of all, let me tell you where I’ve come from with Earphones…
I used to used the Galaxy buds Pro which were good, but due to the design they would never stay in my ears. I then moved to the cheaper Ticpods ANC which were EXTREMELY good for the price, but not the best ANC experience I’ve ever had – the fit was decent too. I then moved onto the Pixel Buds (Gen 2) which I loved, however they didn’t have any ANC whatsoever.
Now I’ve seen these Ear(1) earphones around the Internet for a bit and they’ve been surrounded by hype as they were made made by one of the ex Co founders of Oneplus.
Hype is very dangerous around New products… – do these live up to the hype?!
UNBOXING & Presentation:
Phenomenal, really adds to they hype of the product. Easily able to gift this to someone. You can easily tell that this is a premium product. The transparent design is very classy and it feels somewhat retro as well as brand new. The design is almost like its a product in beta or testing – deffo for a tech enthusiast.
Build quality and feel:
PREMIUM AF! Lol literally some of the most premium earphones I’ve held. They don’t feel too heavy or cumbersome. The hinge on the case feels extremely sturdy and makes a satisfying clap when closed.
CONNECTION:
I opened the earphones case and a prompt to connect came up automatically on phone to connect. Boom. That was it it. It said it was downloading an app – which I couldn’t find on my phone. So I went to the Google play store and manually downloaded the nothing Ear App. The app automatically recognised the earphones.
APP:
Quite decent actually – very simple.
Has a section for sound where you can adjust the ANC or EQ profile and also a section for touch where you can adjust what touch shortcuts you have by tapping the Earbuds.
Active Noise Cancellation:
Wow. Just wow. It’s cringe to say this – but I think it’s the best ANC on a wireless pair of Earbuds I’ve ever tested. Hands down. On the highest mode of ANC. These literally block out alot!
SOUND:
now the sound is very decent – it’s comparable with the pixel buds and the galaxy buds Pro for sure. The rubber tip helps to lock the bass in too.
Haven’t had them long enough to discuss battery yet but my phone is still telling me the earphones have 100% battery. They have wireless charging too which really kool.
Honestly… Its been 48 hours for me so far… But I think these are KEEPERS FOR SURE!

Good for price
Very good up with airpod pros good noise counselling but not as good as AirPod pros very clear sound quality and mic on the earphones are very good great looking fit well sound Quality is very good and they go up to 110 db on some songs but are 100 db most of the time.
I got the earbuds and within 20mins, I was able to get a good idea of what these earbuds could achieve. This, for the price of 99 is stupidly impressive.
The mids are crisp and clear (probably more than even the airpods pro). The low end had a presence although it wasn’t too overpowering in the normal setting. After the ‘more bass’ mode was selected, the bass was perfect for rap songs. They just hit differently. The only slight issue I had with the sound was with the higher range. At maximum volume, the higher range felt like it was a bit soft. Overall, the sound performed brilliantly across a wide range of genres. In my opinion, these earphones are slightly better in terms of mids than the airpods pro and nearly as good as the depth of the galaxy buds pro.
Touching on the other features, the touch sensitive stalk of the earphone was good and on par with the original airpods in terms of sensitivity. The noise cancelling was good and I couldn’t hear people speak around a meter away from me. All background noises were pretty much non existent too. I haven’t gotten a chance to review the battery life but in the short time that I used the earbuds, the charge went from 100% to around 98%. So not too bad I guess. The app of the earbuds are very easy to use and setup was simple. Comfort was also good and I was perfectly happy with the medium sized eartips. They did not fall out during walking or jumping.
Just one more thing regarding the whole pre-order situation. I set in a pre-order on the 14th of September (when the re-stock came) and amazon said I should get them by the 24th. On the 19th, I saw an alert saying that it would be delivered on the 20th. And that’s it, it was delivered in less than a week. I’ve just heard from a lot of people that ordered around a month ago and still haven’t got it. I just wanted you to know of my situation.
Overall, I am very, very impressed with these pair of earbuds. At 99 these are hard to beat.
Thanks or taking the time to read my review. this is all my honest opinion and yh, I’m just happy I made the purchase.
