Really wonderful pack for city adventures! I bought this for a trip to Portugal for a safe bag to carry all my camera gear in. This pack was perfect – held my camera body and 2 other lens as well as a light jacket and wallet with ease. Could easily have put more in there.
Easily adjustable and although the security zipper can be difficult to get in/out of that is the point of this bag. Even in packed areas I was never afraid of anyone even getting close to opening my bag without me knowing. The front pocket zipper does not secure, but it does have a loop that would make it difficult to open easily – just keep all your valuables in the main pocket and you have nothing to worry about!
Cannot wait to take this great little peek on another trip in the future!
This is a high quality backpack with well designed safety features.
My granddaughter loved it!! She is short – 5’2 or a little less and getting ready for college and traveling- do this backpack’s size fit her perfectly. Also it’s good for college as it’s not heavy.
I bought this to use when I go to Portugal & Italy. Love the security features and size. Looks like it will hold a lot of items. I can’t wait to put it to use!

I’ve been using State Bag – Lorimer for a few years and wanted to get a replacement with water bottle pockets. The features I want are
a) Sturdy with big capacity;
b) travel proof (anti-theft);
c) water bottle compartments;
d) 13″ laptop pocket;
e) lightweight, and
g) good looking.
After my research on Amazon (starting with anti-theft features), this PacSafe backpack stood out.
The first impression of this backpack reminds me of Tumi design (black with gold metal fixtures) – it looks like a designer backpack! I really like that there are many pockets that allow me to organize things accordingly. The big opening on top also lets me see what’s in the bag easily and it helps to get things in and out easily. The anti-theft design (zipper, hook, cut-proof, and etc) gives me peace of mind while traveling (for both work and leisure). The water bottle pocket is big enough but not too loose. It fits my Yeti 18oz tumbler perfectly. Even better, it has two water bottle pockets so I can also carry one for my daughter while we go out. Overall I think it is a good backpack and I highly recommend it to those who travel for work. I can see this bag lasts for several years.
This is water proof which I love and it’s easy to get in and out of. Great traveling bag I can use all the time!

Excellent backpack for light carry-on luggage when flying and for day use when travelling. There were lots of pockets and compartments so I could eliminate carrying a purse.
I would give this 5 stars, except for one missing thing in this backpack, it needs a hook to attach your keys to on the inside . That’s the one flaw of this otherwise AWESONE travel backpack.
I really like this bag. I will be using it as a diaper/carry all for my 2 and 6yo. I have purchased so many backpacks in search of the perfect one. I have a Mina Baie, canvas style and a couple of others. I like this bag because it’s lightweight. It fits everything. I have a 40oz water bottle for myself and two water bottles in the side pockets for my girls. Diapers, wipes, snacks, change of clothes, and a full size can of sunscreen. It is still lighter than my other bags. I appreciate the safety features too. When I’m at the zoo, the park, museum, I just pack my wallet and keys and leave my purse at home. I like that the zippers have security features. I was thinking about the MZ Wallace backpack, but at this price point it’s a lot easier to pull the trigger. Plus the interior lining is light, which makes things easier to find. MZW are dark lined. This bag is just as stylish looking. The hardware is . The bag overall is really nice quality.
I love it! A coworker had the purple version of this and when I saw her with it looked so comfortable. For years I was using a long champ tote for work but it was always uncomfortable and super heavy, so I decided to look into investing in a work book bag instead and it has been amazing! No regrets, it is stylish, comfortable and durable.

Great bag for travel. I was looking for a backpack that I could use as my personal item, in addition to my carry-on, to fit under the seat. I try to avoid checking luggage at all costs and I like to maximize what I can bring. This bag is quite roomy and made of quality materials. I was able to fit a change of clothes, a pair of shoes, a light jacket, some toiletries, an iPad, a book, and a small purse all in this bag. It was packed full, but it all fit! The pink interior of the black bag is great because you can actually see and find whatever it is you may need. The pockets on the side are great for water bottles. Not only did I use this on the plane, but I also used it while hiking. If you are in need of something stylish, durable, and secure look no further!
I took this backpack as my carry on to Hawaii. The bag is hard to zip up and unzip. Hence, the 4 stars. I like how it has a strap in the back so that you can slide your backpack onto your other luggage handle. That was very helpful and essential. My husband’s backpack didn’t have that feature and it was very inconvenient. Very classy and secure.
I originally bought this for traveling and it serves that purpose very well, but it quickly and easily became my every day bag for work. this bag fits so much stuff in it, and i don’t ever feel like I’m breaking my back carrying it. So far so good. I use it as my travel diaper bag. I love it. The compartments are great to store all sorts of things. It also makes me feel better that my wallet is not easy to get to.
I have used this backpack for travel to France and in the US. The security features are great. The size is perfect for an iPad, book, a change of clothing and essential documents.
Got this for a friend who loves to organize her stuff in a neat manner. Security features in the backpack itself is perfect for daily use whenever you need to leave it for a few seconds to grab a coffee or something.

I am a flight attendant and have had a lot of different bags. This one is my most favorite bag yet! It holds so much and looks great! I love the pink inside and will definitely purchase more pac safe bags in the future.
This bag is very good quality and can be deceptive because it doesn’t look big but it can actually hold quite a lot. The main section opening has a rectangle frame and the interior is pink, so both these factors make it easy to see inside. Bonus points for not looking like a laptop bag & it holds just as much as a “sports” backpack, but it looks stylish.
Absolutely loved my new backpack! I was able to travel with all our important documents with a peace of mind knowing it would be safely tucked inside. Plus it would be impossible for anyone to unzip without me knowing. I will say one of the clips was a little annoying to open when at the airport but just have a little bit of patience. Again it’s supposed to be designed to be difficult for pick pockets but overall I loved my bag. I had so many people ask me where I go it! Definitely a must buy!!
I love this bag!!! Great for a Rome trip where there are pickpocketers ALL over the train systems and in the streets. This bag was also stylish enough to fit in with the fashion-conscious crowds! Recently took a flight to Hawaii fron the east-coast and didn’tt want an extra carry-on. I was able to fit my toiletry bag, a change of clothes, AND my normal gear I usually tote around. It was tricky to work the zipper and clip mechanism at first but it was no problem after a few times. (my passport was in the RFID zippered pouch) This back pack is def Sleek and Spacious!!!

Purchased this backpack for my 2 week European vacation last year. It’s the perfect backpack to bring with you while exploring the city. I’ve used different backpacks on previous international travels and this was the first time where I didn’t have to constantly check my bag to make sure everything was in place. All the security features gave me a peace of mind and let me enjoy my vacation. Would definitely recommend this for anyone that wants a stylish backpack without it feeling too bulky.

This is first Pacsafe backpack. I read a lot of positive reviews about this before I decided to get one. I plan to use it a personal item and day pack for my next travel.
This is undoubtedly the most sensible work or travel rucksack that there is. I bought it for my wife who travels on a train and tube to work. The security elements of the bag are excellent in the way that it is difficult for someone to open or steal from the bag without you knowing, the fact you can carry a large laptop, the rfid pocket, the pink inside might look strange but it is an excellent way of seeing what is inside the rucksack. Someone really sat down and had a good long think about the design and they have done an excellent job.
I was initially put off by the reviews of too-long straps for petite women (which could result in back strain and make it easier to be pulled off), but decided to give it a shot since it seemed to meet all my other requirements. Glad I did. With a couple of easy hacks, I was able to adjust the straps to my liking. I used a black pipe cleaner (from a craft store, Halloween left over) and small cable ties (with velcro, used to tie cords and wires). I adjusted the straps to the tightest it allowed, then folded up the end to the adjustable clasp. Then I tied it with the pipe cleaner (could also use dark-color zip ties) and then again with the cable/velcro tie. [See photos.] This was a successful hack. It did not loosen at all and did not look like I made any adjustments.
The safety features, after you get used to them, are easy and effective. They do require two-hand opening and closing, so it’s not easy to just reach in while on the go. However, that’s what makes the backpack so secure.
Lastly and importantly, the backpack looks fabulous. The matte black material is discreet (and repels waters, can be spot-cleaned) and fashionable. The matte gold hardware is also low-key and bespoke.
In addition to using this for travel, I will also use it for concerts, festivals, etc. where I want extra security in crowds. Thinking about getting the small version, but it appears to be more expensive than this version. ?
Used this for my trip to Hawaii. Fit my 15″ work computer, but not my 17″ personal computer. Has very deep and snug side pockets so water bottle doesn’t move when you put it on the floor! Used as a beach bag and worked great. Doesn’t have as much room as I was expecting, but made due. Now use it as an everyday work bag.
I recently took a small trip and boy, did I enjoy this backpack! It has plenty of space and pockets to keep you organized. The safety system gave me piece of mind wherever I went and it’s great looking!

When I received this bag, I wasn’t sure that I was going to keep it. It seemed too small and impractical for real travel. Fast forward to two air plane trips later and a weekend in Chicago with this is my overnight bag and I have to say that this bag is awesome! It can hold a lot more than it appears to be able to and it’s nice and lightweight.
I purchased a really expensive travel bag that only has a shoulder strap and after many trips realized that it’s not the perfect bag for me. But I didn’t want a backpack that looked immature. I love everything about this bag and I definitely will be keeping it!
Love the look and feel. Lobe the security it offers as we were traveling in London. It’s the perfect size. The versatility is extremely convenient. I’ve traveled with this bag through 4 countries and it has been a very sturdy, durable and safe bag! It holds a surprising amount of stuff. For me, I can fit my camera bag, book, iPad, notebook, wallet, extended battery and sunglasses in the main compartment. It also has a wide opening that makes it easy to find and sort through your items. The safety features give you peace of mind and the design of the bag is professional and elegant. I highly recommend.
I have had this backpack for a few months now and I am so happy with this purchase! It has travelled to and from work, gone on weekend getaways, and been overseas. It fits my MacBook or Surface Pro perfectly in the padded compartment. It is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and I love the look of it. I felt so safe using it as my purse when I was travelling to different countries as well. Worth every penny!
Its a good looking bag. However it gets heavy with just my laptop 14 inch, my wallet and my makeup bag. I also don’t like how the strap that I use often rolls down always stretching and making that strap longer than the other. I like the safety feature but my three year old figured out how to get into the purse after seeing me unlock it…lol its not super complicated and that’s ok with me. It will definitely stump a robber or at the very least slow them down. Over all I am happy with my first purchase.
Received my backpack yesterday. Loaded it up with all that I will need for a trip. Laptop, phone, insulin etc pouch, water bottle, cords, papers, books, nebulizer and my small packsafe citysafe cs75 crossbody bag. With that said, it wasn’t too heavy or too uncomfortable for me to carry. Found that the larger purses were too much of a strain on one shoulder or arm. It is stylish and my best Pacsafe purchase so far. Well worth the price.
Very well made and great looking material. I recommend this for travel on the airplane because lots of stuff fit inside like neck pillow and packable jacket. The problem is you can’t open this backpack unless you put it on flat surface so I ended up not using anti lock because it takes too long to close and lock. I would buy this brand again but for walking around town or hiking I prefer regular back pack with more pockets and simple slide lock.
great look for dressy backpack. i bit of a jiggle to zip it but that keeps stray hands out. lock it great. bought it for a trip and now use it all the time.
This bag was a holiday gift for my daughter. The quality is impeccable. So many features that were just very special and unique. A great pack to look much more professional. Very durable.
This is my second Pacsafe bag– my first one is a 40 liter backpack that I use almost every time I travel. I’ve been using this bag for a few months now & it still looks new! The reason I knocked off a star is because one of the top zipper pulls gets stuck easily & it makes closing the bag harder than it needs to be. It can be pretty frustrating when I’m in a rush & my bag won’t zip up. Other than that, there’s plenty of pockets & it’s big enough for me to use as a weekender bag but small enough for day to day wear.
Honestly, I didn’t know how I would feel about a backpack made from PacSafe. I had bought other products that felt “very weighted down” empty due to the anti theft properties… BUT this bag is WONDERFUL!! I love everything about it!! The only thing I would do to improve it is maybe make additional colors and patterns to ad choices for buyers. I’d like to see Gray and Brown as options… That it it!!
I intend to use this for travel within Canada and Europe and found that it had a huge capacity and tucked away neatly under the seat on the plane. It looks really stylish too so can be used either hands free or carried by hand. I used it for the first time in December and had countless compliments and inquiries as to where I had bought it.

Great backpack, felt very secure roaming around Brazil. It’s very hard to get into (not officially locked but many steps to get it open to get your hand in it to grab anything). Looks great and is spacious
Stylish bag, great size for carryon and everyday use. Love the front pocket for easy access to passport/wallet etc and pockets for bottles on the sides.
MAJOR complaint is the main zipper – it’s virtually impossible to close without putting down the backpack and using two hands which is super frustrating when you are in a hurry or aren’t in a place you want to put down the backpack! How such a great bag had such a huge design fault is beyond me.
I LOVE this Pacsafe Citysafe Anti Theft backpack! I purchased black (my sister purchased the eggplant color) for travel, however I use mine daily. The colors are beautiful with gold accents and looks expensive. It took a few using a couple of times to feel comfortable with the security features, however now I consciously make sure I use all of the security features (makes me more security conscious), and there is a band on the back, so that you can slip the backpack over your luggage handle. For travel, I can take my iPad, headphone (with case), crossbody purse, makeup case (medium), all of this on inside. I believe this will fit up airline seat.
This was a great backpack. I took it all around Italy with me and it was very useful. I was never worried about being pick pocketed, the compartments were all very well designed to stop anyone from doing that. One of the straps had a release so I could attach the backpack to a table leg if I was sitting down. They thought of everything to keep my valuables safe.
This bag is fantastic. It has all of the safety features I’ve come to love about Pacsafe products. I’ve had my crossbody for over 10 years and it has traveled with me everywhere. Ive gotten much mom, sister and friends hooked on them as well. For an upcoming trip, I will be taking camera gear. I’ve never traveled with my professional gear. As a photographer, I was looking for something to keep my gear safe, protected and out of harms way. I already use a bag that opens up top as my camera bag, however, this one is not suitable for traveling as it doesn’t have any security features. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that pacsafe had a backpack that opens up top, like a “doctor” bag. While the opening is narrower than what I would have liked, the safety and protection features override that inconvenience. I can’t wait to put it to use! It’s beautiful as well! I know I will have this for years to come.

Really is a great bag to use when traveling. It’s safe, which is number 1, but it’s also cute and HUGE. I had all my things for the day, and when we went shopping had enough space to place 2 pairs of shoes (not in boxes) into my bag.
my 2 cons:
1. Other reviews have mentioned that the straps does slip, I plan on putting some glue or something to make it less ‘slippery’.
2. Previous Pacsafe bags I’ve owned had metal zippers, which may or may not make the bag any safer. This bag has big plastic zippers.
Easy to access contents. Comfortable to wear. Only minor nit it the detachable strap pad can slip on the strap but stays on. Just the right size for a day pack. I wouldn’t want a bigger pack as it would start to add extra weight.
Bought this bag for a trip to Europe after reading reviews. It did not disappoint! Used it as my under seat bag, a backpack for day trips, hiking in the rain (nothing got wet). It is amazing how much I was able to cram in there. It is cute and comfortable. Some of the security features took a little getting used to. As others have said it takes two hands to open and close the top which can be a hassle, but a small trade off for the security it provides. I don’t like the look of the handle that sticks up on top and thought about sending it back initially. Turns out it came in handy so many times that I got over it 🙂

This is the best backpack I have ever had. It is perfect for the cheap traveler that doesn’t want to pay for carry-on bags on discount airlines as it is the perfect “personal item”. I manage to pack a weeks work of clothing in this baby. The safety features are great for traveling or every day if you live in a big city like myself. Its water resistant which is a plus. I have has this bag since august and i see not signs of wearing away or seams busting. I also get loads of compliments which is a nice bonus!
I really loved this backpack. I took it on our overseas trip. I have a 2 year old and needed a safe way to store his things as well as mine while we were out and about. The safety clasps were great. I always felt that my items were secure.
This bag is big enough but not too big to carry around all day. Lots of little compartments. Light pink interior which makes it easier to find items inside. Love the extra safety features, especially for travelling on the subway.
Hard to close with one hand, but I guess that is for a reason. I also wish there were more pockets/compartments. But the peace of mind of RFID, a slashproof bag and the overall look calls for at least 4 stars.
Here are my initial thoughts:
PROS:
-beautiful bag and just the right size. Big enough to have all the features I was looking for and plenty of space, but small enough to not overwhelm my small frame.
-holy safety features. They weren’t kidding. You would need to be a very persistent thief to steal from this bag. It’s a veritable fortress. Of course they could theoretically pull the whole bag off your back. There is nothing that actually secures it to you except the straps, but I think that’s just being paranoid.
-fits a lot more than it looks like it should. I easily fit my 13″ laptop, tablet with case, kindle paperwhite, noise canceling over ear headphones, waterproof camera, wallet, socks, eye mask, and laptop charger with room to spare. My 32 oz water bottle also fit perfectly in the side pocket.
-it has a luggage strap! That is rare but it’s such a great feature.
CONS:
-as the fort Knox of backpacks, it can be a bit difficult to open the bag yourself. But overall I dont think it’s too bad. My main complaint is that you cant zip the main compartment closed with one hand, and you would have trouble zipping it closed without putting it on the ground. You also have to unzip the bag all the way to get anything out of it. Good for safety but annoying if you want to get anything out while standing.
-the straps are just a little too long. I am 5’4″ so pretty average height but I felt like even on the shortest setting the straps were a bit longer than I would have liked. And unfortunately they seem to loosen pretty easily. I tested it out by walking my dog around the neighborhood with it fully loaded and after 10 min one of the straps had started to loosen. So that’s a bummer. However the padding on the straps is great and it didn’t dig into my bony shoulders at all.
-price. This bag is not cheap but it is well made and I dont think its necessarily overpriced for all the features it has. Some of the safety features are kind of overkill though.
Overall I am still undecided about whether or not I will keep it. It has lots of pros, but my main issue is the straps. If the straps were a bit more adjustable and stayed put better I would be much happier with it.
Purchased this bag as I commute via public transportation for work. Its large enough to fit all my essentials; including lunch, makeup and a change of shoes. Very happy as I don’t have to carry any other bags or totes. The bag is stylish and secure. Recommend to all.

Love the lighter fabric inside super easy to find things. Bag is light weigh with soft material, Fashion foward! Zipper is not an issue. It is a beefy zipper made to be strong. Had no issue zipping when holding down side end tab of zipper. It’s made to be a challenge to get into. That’s the point to keep the pick pockets out. You don’t have to clip the zippers closed. Highly recomend!

This backpack is perfect for travel. You won’t believe how much you can fit in it and it is great for extended wear. The security features make it slightly more difficult to get into, but that is the point. It’s supposed to be secure enough that someone can’t just sneak in while it on your back. The fact that the interior is light pink makes it great to find things. the fabric is great to wear while it is hot and humid outside. I had no problem wearing it all around Savannah in the summer. overall I highly recommend it.
As others wrote, it’s difficult to open and shut without putting it down and using 2 hands. When I tighten the straps so it doesn’t flop, the buckles tend to dig into my armpits–not the most comfortable when sleeveless. However, given how cute it is, how functional, and how safe, I’m happy with my purchase. I’ve also found that the ease of the backpack means I’ve stopped using my briefcase!
But, the zipper. Lordy did this thing make me crazy. It’s enough to make you not want to open the bag. It’s a garbage zipper, grabs and breaks and sometimes you can’t get the darn thing open at all. The zipper lasted one year and then it broke, I can only zip it from one side, and only halfway. 🙁
Worth noting I have used this thing every day for a year, gone on a zillion work trips with it, so I’m probably pretty hard on the bag. Don’t over stuff it, as it will put strain on the zipper and make the problem worse.

I bought this for a future international trip as my ‘personal item’ for the plane. The bag is comfortable when on and even when I weighed it down I didn’t feel too much strain. The safety features are really nice. I was worried that the zippers might be annoying to deal with when I need to get something out, but its actually pretty simple once you know how. Overall I am really happy with this bag, and intend to get one for my 10 year old to use as well on the trip.
But two drawbacks just keep irritating me:
1. The zippers are difficult to close. With the wide mouth of the main compartment, you can only open it if the zippers are fully unzipped – but it requires two hands usually to re-zip the bag shut. This isn’t ideal when in a packed space or traveling. I often have to set the bag down to open or close it.
This design might be purposeful but it’s really just super irritating.
2. The straps are too long!
The straps just don’t have enough adjustment. I’m average height and even fully tightened (which they never stay tightened when being used), the straps don’t hold this back to my back. With a water bottle, book and laptop, that’s a lot of unevenly distributed weight that causes pain after a long day. If the straps would just sit tighter to your back, it would alleviate that pain.
Overall, I still love the quality, look and small touches. The side water bottle pockets are really nicely tight and deep, without being loose – so I can get a water bottle in and out, no problem, but also securely keep smaller items in there.
I really wish they’d come out with a smaller version of the backpack that could transition into a one should. There is currently a purse/one shoulder combo, but without two straps to convert to a small backpack, it’s not worth the $100+ price tag to me for long travel trips.
Great commuter bag. Never worry about people in my stuff.

The zippers can be a little sticky, but it’s a great bag. It’s the perfect size and I can’t wait to take it on my next trip. I’m using it as my daily work bag at the moment, but I think that it will make a great travel bag.
Some of my favorite features-
I love the double top handles that give the option to comfortably carry the bag in your hand instead of on your back.
The security features give me peace of mind that all of my personal belongings are safe.
The quality of the materials is top notch!! Looks and feels very high quality and I’m very picky with my clothing brands.
There is lots of space inside this bag to carry all of your travel needs.
Things I don’t love so much-
It’s not the easiest to undo the safety features, but that’s the point, right? So I guess you can’t really call this a con.

Now that most airlines are charging for a “carry on” and only allowing a free “personal item”, this backpack is the correct size to pass as a “personal item”. While small, it packs an amazing amount of stuff and has handy pockets to hold even more. The top of the backpack opens nice and wide being held firmly open with some sort of stiff insert, making packing/unpacking or trying to find something easier. The material has a nice feel to it and the backpack straps are comfortable. The interlocking pulls take a little getting used to but work well and should foil most nabbers or at least delay them enough for you to notice they’re trying to rifle you bag. Overall I would say I’m very happy with this bag as my only luggage that I will be traveling around with in the future as I don’t want to have to pay more money than the ticket price for my flight.
However, there are a few downsides that you should know about…
– If you are planning to use this as your primary bag, know that the stitching that connects the straps to the bag are weak. Within a couple days of use (I had about 7 lbs in the bag), the stitches began to stretch out. It got steadily worse over the past month, while I used this as my primary carrying bag on an overseas trip. It’s held up, but I can see that they will break very soon and I’ll need to take this to a luggage repair shop.
– It is not waterproof. This may not be a big deal to you, but I feel like this is an easy feature to include, particularly given the price. I hope that Pacsafe considers waterproofing this and other bags… when you travel you sometimes carry documents which don’t love getting drenched in the rain.
Despite my reservations, I still recommend this bag. It’s got lots of storage and different compartments; the strap in the back lets you loop it securely over rolling luggage. Most of all, I love how it looks!
Love this bag. I watched so many reviews, and waited by the mailbox for it to arrive. I really enjoy all the qualities about it and have no complaints about pacsafe. Been a returning customer, with suitcase and purses, and hope to continue to be so. However, when I received this bag I saw that there is a small black marker dot on the inside pink interior pocket. Normally I would not care about a small little stain but considering I spent so much money, I just want what I ordered. Is there anyway I can remove this little spot? And if not can I exchange it? Please help! Would love to start using this bag as soon as possible, just hate that this black dot is the first thing I see. I love forward to hearing from you soon! Thank you!!
