The best oven ever.
This is by far the best oven I’ve ever come across. Bakes bread by convection but also adds burst of steam for perfect rise and crust. Fish, vegetables, cookies, meat are all cooked quickly, energy efficiently and perfectly. We use it at least twice a day.
My only gripe is that it broke down after three years and getting it fixed is almost impossible. Buying another one as I can’t find any substitute on the market.

My big old Whilrpool multi microwave died and could not be replace having researched market this was
a v. competitively priced alternative that fits space in kitchen. I like the drop down door, the flat plate, no turntable, so can place my oval dishes in easily. Can see what’s cooking as there is a light. The panacrunch really does crisp up pastry, tip put some grease proof over top or can get a little dark, quicker than the grill on my Falcon range for grilling.Profiteroles rose beautifully using steam.
Really pleased, gave it 4 stars for use only because there are so many variations need to keep manual to hand.

I bought the Panasonic NNDS596B after reading a lot of good and positive reviews on this product and so far its really good, especially steam combinations program as well as auto-steam-cleaning which is a bonus!

Had it 4 years so far and no issues, also had a similar panasonic microwave from the 90s that still goes strong I believe. No issues. Versatile and useful.

I’ve been looking for a powerful, versatile, multifunctional worktop cooker for so long. Then I found this. Perfect. Cooks chicken perfectly. Veg, cooked with steam perfectly. Grills gammon perfectly. So easy to clean too.
Quality
Love the fact there is no turntable and shelves for the grill and oven. The tray is also brilliant, super easy to clean. All in all I can’t believe I am saying this about a microwave, but it is a pleasure to look at and use.
Great little machine replaced a 42L Sharp combi
The only thing I dislike about this is that the ‘oven’ takes an age to ‘pre-heat’ the Sharp was a lot quicker. This is a compact and versatile machine though.

Had a previous Panasonic microwave that had better automatic settings. This is still a good microwave, it steams as well as roasts and microwaves the only down side is it has a metal rack in the manual. This does not come with the microwave and Panasonic cannot tell you how to get this rack.
I thought this was the best oven I could buy, it took me a while to use it as the instructions are very detailed.
I have been using the oven for about two month, yet tonight while using the microwave the flat bed has cracked and not just a little it has shattered, I only had a ready meal in there for 8 mins. I’m surprised and shocked. As I really like this… I will let you know the response from the suppliers and how soon it gets replaced or repaired.
When I bought this oven I thought I wouldn’t use all its features. I was wrong as they are all useful. We recently move houses and had to rely on this as our very only oven available until we sort out the kitchen, and it’s been a Godsend. It can do everything you need, to superb quality. I made sure I came back to leave this review after over a year owning the oven.
Love this. It’s great for quick ness and easier to clean than my oven. I tend to be cooking for my self so this is all I basically use now as a combination micro it’s huge be fantastic for families too. So versatile. And the pan crunch thingy really does give you crispy pizza etc . Not tried steam function yet.
Can you read? Then read the darn instructions instead of complaining on things they already warned you about.
After following the instructions, the machine works like a dream. Steam and Grill combination makes the best toasts I ever had. Steam function is not quite as powerful as the traditional on the stove steamer. Oven works great. Microwave works great.
It really excellent machine for whole kitchen purposes. For beginners it’s bit difficult to operate for a few days. Really versatile machine for cooking. And yes Amazon is always excellent in its services. A super fast delivery by Amazon.

I bought this combination oven to replace an old one. I love the machine but compared to my other (also a Panasonic) it is much slower not being fan assisted but using the steam does make it faster on some things. I am disappointed not to have a wire rack as it states it is a two tear cooker. I have not been able to purchase one either as they do not seem to make them. If anyone can let me know where to purchase one I would be very grateful. My last word is I am extremely pleased although it has taken me a bit of getting used to. Would I recommend it to anyone thinking of buying one – definitely.

Obvious differences to my old machine…
1. Warning – While pre-heating and cooking the top and sides of the machine are hot to the touch. On the plus side, this does let you easily warm your plates before serving, by placing them on top.
2. It’s smaller from the outside, but the cooking area inside is about the same as there is no turntable or plate.
3. The convection oven temperature settings increase in ten degree increments up to a 220 degree maximum. (my old one had a 230 degree max)
4. The beeping to signal when the pre-heat cycle or cooking time ends is not very loud
5. When using the grill to do cheese-on-toast my old one took five minutes at full power. After only two and a half minutes on full power with this one the cheese was starting to bubble.
I use the convection oven the most. Using the guideline temperatures and timer settings on food packets has been a little trial and error. This oven seems quite fierce and I’ve reduced the time and/or temperature recommendations a little to achieve ideal results. I’ve only used the microwave function once – to do a shop bought sausage muffin with cheese. It came out just right.
Included is one ‘Panacrunch’ tray which has ridges to allow any fat or grease drain away from the food. The tray can be inserted in a low or high position. I haven’t used the steamer function yet.
Like any new device, it takes a bit of getting used to how it performs, but all in all I’m very happy with it so far. Having said that, I’ve not been too adventurous in my cooking. Mostly frozen chicken fillets and oven chips and the like. I hope it lasts as long as my old Sharp did.

Great combination microwave. Love the steam feature and generally easy to use. Self cleaning programmes are good but getting the inside of the microwave clean can be a hassle behind the grill cover.

Absolutely brilliant..
It’s brilliant. Don’t know how I managed without it before. It does everything and does not need much room. Also the booklet that comes with it is self explanatory.
Versatile ove
All in all I’m very happy with the purchase! First things that come to mind: Somewhat larger than a regular micro. Does get hot from outside in the oven mode. As other people have noted as well, versatility means that the manual is good to have nearby.

The illuminated display screen is great but the touch buttons underneath for setting the programmes are not illuminated and are very hard to read. I have had to set up a spotlight to shine on the front. I know I’m getting on a bit but my vision is good and I struggle. Husband has cataracts and can’t read them at all.
Secondly, there is no indicator for the actual oven temperature, just their guess at 180C being 180C. I’ve used a stand alone thermometer to check and it’s about 10C less than suggested. Ok once you know.
Despite these I am impressed with it, specially the steam function.

This as an expensive treat to myself, cooking for one nd having disability issues. Am now waiting for my second roast to be finished, have used the microwave, roast, steam and auto cook so far and it is perfect for me. Programming is easy, follow the book with large sized instructions, the only fault I can find so far is that I would like a light for the programmes so that they stood out. Having problems with registering it on the Panasonic site, will have to phone them, is bringing back a love of cooking fingers crossed that it continues

Absolutely love it. I’ve cooked all sorts in it and everything has turned out perfectly. The steam function is brilliant and helps keep cakes moist.
If you are looking for a large flatbed microwave this needs to be on your list.
Like the microwave and oven combination functions, and timer which lets you alternate between these (eg defrost then time onto oven function). Steamer never seems to get it quite right and quite expensive overall but good quality
You need to read the instructions to get the best results from it. The steamer works well and no mess after. Just drain and wash the tray and place back in its place. Takes a little longer if you include potatoes to your veg around 23 24 minutes. Jacket potatoes are great every time and the drop down door is very useful. The microwave power settings seem to take longer than a conventional microwave but Im getting used to it now!
Very happy with this item, really functional to cook most foods in a healthy way if you have a small family.

Ordered this oven/microwave. Second day in I am impressed. Its quiet and the steam facility worked well. Its a nice piece of kit and wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing. I bought one on warehouse deal has a slight bulge on casing, but its going against a wall, so was a bit cheaper.
Purchased this combination microwave to replace old one very pleased with it particularly like the drop down door.

Gave 1 star less only because I find the panacrunch hard to clean and cannot brown unless I change to grill. My previous oven didn’t need this as the second shelf had the room to take the crock pot so it was inearer the top and on the shelf I used foil which caught grease and any fat which you could then just throw away leaving the shelf clean.
Other than these issues I love it, easy to use, opens up like a proper oven, good looking and the rest easy to clean. Would still recommend.

Bought this to replace a SHarp Steamwave when it quit working (and we couldn’t get another). This is a great addition to any kitchen. Steam function (our primary reason for buying combination) is very powerful – more so than the old Sharp. Microwave and other functions are really good too.

I wasn’t sure we would use all the features before I bought it but we use this all the time and it is brilliant.
I have had this microwave less than a week but after the first try of it I was hooked, steaming is brilliant for veg cooked just right, and fish. I look forward to many happy years of use.
I thought this would be just so so, but while my cooker has been out of service it’s roasted, grilled, microwaved and steamed lunches and dinners.
This is a really great kitchen utility. The oven heats well, and is more economical when combined with the microwave. The Flat surface is brilliant and I do not think I can go back to a turntable now.

I live in a one room apartment and its perfect all in one for me.
I have not yet had the occasion to use the steaming function, other than that I am very satisfied with all other functions. I have given 4stars until I have used the steaming function with satisfaction, then I have no doubt I shall give 5 stars. Till now it has been really worth it.
