This microwave is very easy to use, stylish and has many useful features for auto defrosting or cooking by weight. The easy 30 second function makes setting the timer up very quick and easy. I can highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality microwave at extremely good value for money. Five stars across the board.
An excellent buy. A really good product at a really good price.
Panasonic is a good make, I have used other people’s. That is why I purchased this one.
Just perfect – does everything you want a microwave to do: heat up your food. Easy to use, although I haven’t played with all the functions yet. It looks great on the counter, that’s a bonus. The 1000w setting is powerful, so I had to half the time I usually need to heat anything. A sturdy purchase, I’m very pleased after weeks of researching my perfect match.
This microwave is the quietest one we have ever owned, and also the best, worth every penny.
Well made, the buttons and dials have a quality feel about them. Works well as you would expect from Panasonic
I bought this for my brother who loves it, it’s a little more complex than his old turn the dial and press a button model but, a quick read of the instructions and he was set. That might sound daft but he has frontal lobe damage from a motorcycle accident and struggles to learn new things.
I like the ease of use, program choices and ease of cleaning.
I’ve bought several Panasonic devices and have never been disappointed.
Neat little machine for everyday use, like heating soup, milk, etc, and big enough for defrosting bread, etc. I will say that we had a fault which Panasonic were useless in dealing with, but Amazon stepped in and replaced the faulty machine quickly and easily. Top marks to Amazon on this one! Top marks for an excellent little microwave!
First unit work well for about 9 months, then the fan started making a horrible grinding noise and heating became a bit variable. Credit to Amazon returns the unit was replaced quickly and without any problems. Hopefully unit 2 will be better ….
This Panasonic microwave is compact in size, has a powerful output and is easy to use/clean. I purchased this microwave to sit on top of a work top in a utility room so therefore wanted a smaller more compact model, this one fits the bill. its 1000w investor technology is quiet and very efficient. I find the controls easy to understand and straight forward. I like Panasonic products, and I am really pleased with this purchase.
Just what I wanted. Easy to use, fits in well.
Super quick, it’s 1000 watt so you would expect it to be. Quiet while on, internal light (that not all have). Can’t fault it.
Bought a Samsung machine before this and it leaked blue fluid onto my food! Could have been toxic! So I promptly returned that and got this instead. It’s a decent machine. The 1000 watt makes cooking times shorter which is nice. The light is lovely, it’s very easy to see what’s inside while it’s cooking. The noise is relatively quiet compared to other microwaves although the fan does stay on for around 30 seconds after the cooking has finished.
The touch controls work ok and there’s a quick start 30 second button which is nice. But I can’t help but feel that real buttons would have been better. Real buttons are quicker to use than touch controls and you’re less likely to make a mistake.
The only other gripe I have is with the light. It’s lovely and bright (compared to the Samsung which didn’t have a light!) but the machine talks about being eco friendly and powers off the time display which is all very nice BUT it DOES NOT power off the light after the cooking has finished and the door is opened. It NEVER powers off the light. It will keep the light on all day and night 24/7. For one, how wasteful is this on energy and for two, it’s going to wear the light bulb out quick.
What Panasonic should have done is if you have left the door open for 30 seconds or a minute, the light should switch off. But they didn’t do that. The light just stays on forever. With my previous microwave, I was able to leave the door open slightly when I wasn’t using it which was good for hygiene but can’t do that with this because the light will never switch off. So I have to keep the door closed and with the touch controls, I have to ensure that it’s definitely not going to come on again.
But still, overall, I’m relatively happy with the machine but it could have been much better with a light timer and real buttons.
Cooking is absolutely fine. It’s an inverter microwave which is supposed to cook food more evenly. I think it probably does. It’s great for cooking. Price is decent too. I didn’t buy Panasonic before but I’ll definitely look at Panasonic again when this one breaks.
We use a microwave in our house fairly often, so ease of use is high value, and it gets points for that.
Many microwaveable food products tend to have instructions for 800W or 900W as standard, which creates a little difficulty in using this one, since control of the power factor only allows for adjusting to 600W or lower. This means having to approximate timings every time of usage.
Exactly what I expected it to do! right size, right product. As read, sold and seen! Very happy.
Smart looking microwave. I like the quick start button.
Happy so far.
No issues in operation, love the fact that it isn’t too noisy in operation.
Just as advertised 🙂 Works well and heats evenly. I wish the space was a bit bigger, but maybe that’s because I had a big oven/microwave combi and got very used to the very large space. But anyway, a great buy and good value for money..
More expensive than the ones I’ve had before but then more powerful. Well made and so easy to use, controls so well laid out. Don’t know about the long term but I’m more than happy with my purchase.
I had a Sharp microwave for many years and it was great. When it stopped working I did my usual investigation for a replacement and settled on this Panasonic. It is much noisier than the Sharp. Despite being apparently more powerful, 1000W rather than 650W, than the Sharp it takes longer to heat a cup of milk and it heats unevenly. A cup of milk will boil over if I put it in for 1min 50sec in the Panasonic however if I quickly open the door at 2min 40sec and stir the milk I can then set another 40sec and it doesn’t boil over. The Panasonic seems to be heating the surface of the cup of milk more then the bottom of the cup.
Always buy Panasonic micowaves, the first one I had lasted 29 years. So quality product.
Compared to our old Microwave this sounds like a Rolls-Royce. Easy to use and worth the money.
Very easy to use but previous experience with a panasonic microwave helped
eat microwave works very well but noisy operation of fan and turntable
Looks to be well built – hopefully will be reliable. Fine size for a single person.
Bigger inside than most at this price. High power (1000W). Quiet in operation and easy to open door. Only criticism is that the 800W is not one of the 6 power setting available.
This is a standard 1000 watt microwave. Very effective and easy to use.
Very pleased with our new Panasonic Microwave which is nice and easy to use with comprehensive controls, is quiet in operation and looks very smart.
Great microwave so quiet too….the black matches other appliances….Still getting use to all the different options….So if any different will update review….
Quite expensive but lovely microwave…..pleased would recommend this one
Good at heating up food. Better than regular microwaves. Could be improved for ease by having turn dials for the watts – it would make it so much easier to use.
I had to replace my Proline combination microwave after a phenomenal 28 years ! I no longer needed a combi microwave and this fits the bill perfectly. It is neat in size but still takes a full size dinner plate. The controls are easy and it is easy to clean and very quiet in operation. It is great value for money. If I have one small criticism the display is not as bright as I would like making it difficult to se the time on the clock from across my kitchen. Having said that it is a very big kitchen! All in all highly recommend this microwave.
What can I Say.
These Panasonics With Their Proprietary Technology Are Fantastic.
They Will Microwave Raw Chicken Thoroughly Like It Was Fried.
Plus It Effectively Vents The Moisture.
Brilliant it’s so easy to use , thought I had problem with condensation under door emailed Panasonic the were very quick to respond said it’s perfectly normal and explained why . Very happy looks good too
So much quieter than my old one (not blunt!!) . Easy to use settings and the high power is just the job. So far I cannot fault it.
Not 5 star because you can only go up in 10 seconds at a time, so therefore cannot for example set timing for 27 seconds only 20 or 30sec.
HC
Simply incredible. It’s very silent and the size is great for the home usage. It’s also pretty and looks expensive.
as with all microwaves, how to use more complex features is ultimately impossible to guess – even setting the clock is a challenge without the manual. however, this has several simple quick setups which cover 99% of what you want to do, and it does them well.
plus i like the clean-lines of the design, and it is a good price
I found instructions hard to follow but the unit is grea
If you want a quality mocrowave for sensible money, then buy one of these. Panasonic have been making top notch microwaves for years & it shows.
It’s a lovely looking unit, not too noisy & after a bit of fiddling around with the controls I’ve got it sorted now, it’s not as easy as my last Panasonic but then again that was 16yrs old. A durable brand, worth the investment.
It heats the food really quick faster than my last one
My last microwave finally gave up after 30+ years, but I’m delighted with this replacement. Very quiet, lots of options and overall, great value for money. Hope that’s me sorted for another 30 years now!
It’s a good device with plenty of power. It’s easy enough to use but still I wish the controls were a little more intuitive.
We haven’t had the microwave very long but thus far we’re very pleased with it. I’ve only given ‘easy to clean’ 4 stars because microwaves are never particularly easy to clean. When it’s on, this microwaves makes quite an odd sound, but you realise quickly how much quieter it is than your old one. The controls are 100% intuitive, but a quick read through the slim manual soon makes things clear. I had to look up how to use the Chaos defrost, but now it makes perfect sense.
I thought I’d leave this review for a while to get a chance to try all the features and to check its performance. Verdict – well pleased. This replaces our previous Panasonic that we’d had for years and I’m looking forward to similar longevity. Love the 30 second quick blast feature – probably the most used for those forgotten cups of tea (though I still forget I’ve reheated it and find yesterday’s cup still inside).
Mam uses it for heating milk !
I have to use old one for my Cuurries etc .lol
A good useful microwave. Went by the reviewed and tested before I bought it this product come out tops. Used by myself it is a good product.
Smaller internal dimensions than I expected but hasn’t made a huge difference. Easy prompts inside the door (remember to weigh container and contents) and works brilliantly. Very pleased
Would recommend, we got this due to the opening and size of plate it can take, easy to,use and can recommend.
Great microwave cooks as expected and very quiet. Nice bit of kit.
Only thing I disliked is that the light inside the oven is very dim.
Great micowave oven easy to use and very quiet. My last microwave was a Panasonic and it lasted for many years this is why I decided on this model and I am very pleased with it.
Very happy had this for a month now and was bought to replace my 15 year old Panasonic Inverter model. Easy to use, I was initially hesitant about the dial time select however it is very good. The light inside is plenty bright enough. Its quiet to use.
I think only Panasonic do ovens with an inverter PSU. This means it can supply any power level without having to turn itself on and off every few seconds. It looks and feels quality. Inside its got a good finish that wipes clean and won’t rust. Recommended.
Arrived as promised. Powerful on high setting, bit smaller inside than I expected but still fits a dinner plate. Looks good, easy to use.
Really good microwave. Lots of settings but not difficult to use.
Panasonic, not the first name you might think of when considering a kitchen appliance but I stumbled on these some time ago when, prior to purchasing a rice cooker I was accustomed to cooking rice in my microwave. Sadly the interior finish on my, then oven, was not up to the amount of condensation caused by this. I searched for a better finish and came up with Panasonic and have never looked back. This is a replacement for a similar Panasonic model I bought at least 15 years ago because the motor that turned the plate finally gave up the ghost. I realise I might have found a repairer but all things considered it had probably come to the end of its useful life and something else was ready to go next. I’ve had this new one about ten days. Not as big as the last but then I never used the full capacity in the old model and this one takes up less space in the kitchen. Looks good (I don’t quite understand other reviewers complaints about the controls), easy to set up and operate. I’ve defrosted (cheese sauce) and reheated cooked food (soup and baked beans) and found it completely satisfactory (and importantly, predictable). It’s also easy to clean. There are indications in the, very comprehensive, handbook that there are a number of features that I’m never going to use, still nice to have those options. I’m happy with my choice and would be willing to recommend this model to anyone searching for a basic Microwave Oven which is also robust.
Great, quiet, powerful microwave , would recommend !!
When in operation it hums along rather than the usual noise and it cooks really well too, price is good and easy to use .
Haven’t used most of the functions to be fair just the press and go.
I would of liked the temp 800 to have been available
Very happy with the quality of this microwave. It is very quick and less noisy than other microwaves.
Looks good, this was an upgrade from our old microwave, very pleased with it.
A lot more versatile than our last microwave.
Power levels can be controlled so it takes an extra button to press, but soon get used to it,
Much quieter than our old one.
Love this microwave. Cooks quickly and evenly. Very nice touch and easy to use
It looks nice and cooks quickly and more evenly than other microwaves I’ve had.
Usability is reduced a bit by the control panel design – two button presses required to get a quick 30 seconds of cooking, where rival machines only need one press.
Some material quality problems – the glass plate has a few white grains within it, just under the surface. So it always looks like there are a couple of small crumbs on the plate!
I had a Panasonic Microwave Oven before which lasted for Years so it was a natural Choice
As simple or complex as you wish to make it, straightforward to use for everyday tasks, but capable of much more. Very quiet in operation and the 1000 w power makes it very quick.
I was very happy with this microwave very easy to use and very efficie
My first purchase of a microwave. All very confusing but clear instruction manual and everything works as promised.
Used mainly for defrosting and ready meals. Boy, is it quick! Very pleased.
Great purchase – my twenty year old microwave broke down and it was hard to decide which one to buy to replace it.
Very quiet oven, easy to use. Looks smart and is extremely light and therefore easy to move for cleaning.
Simple to use and very flexible in the range of options. Looks great and easy to clean, unlike stainless. Not the cheapest but probably worth it.
Good, solid well made piece of kit. Easy to programme and a vital bit of essential cooking appliance. Slightly smaller than our last Panasonic microwave but if this model lasts as long as the last (15 yrs) I’ll be delighted.
Very happy had it for over a month so used it plenty, its everything as described, power level good, nice and quiet operation esp door closer, im very happy very good quality for the cos
This microwave is brilliant I absolutely love it I always have trusted Panasonic good company
I bought this after our previous microwave caused so much hassle with its analogue interface. This microwave heats food rapidly, does exactly what it says in the handbook and looks gorgeous in our kitchen. We went for the black option and that works well with our black work surface. We can highly recommend this appliance.
Very please with this microwave. It does it job well.
I was unsure at first about buying this but once I got used to it brilliant. Good always hot. Someone wrote that theirs had the open button paint was flaking off , I thought same thing but then realised there is a plastic covering on the user buttons which you are meant to peel off and the open button has this too. It started to bubble up then i realised and took the plastic covering off and it’s fine. Can’t fault this microwave for cooking, reheating etc. Only thing is doesn’t give you a beep if you dont open door and leave something in it like my old LG which had to be replaced after 15 years after it rusted inside. Will be very happy if this lasts as long.
It’s only day 1 but this microwave looks great and easy to use. I ordered this on Saturday evening and it arrived lunch time Sunday, How’s that for superb customer service.
Looks good easy controls very good power outage so fas
I only received this yesterday but it is mostly what I hoped.
It is so light I thought it might be low quality but they must used a switched power supply which are lighter and more efficient.
And luckily for them cheaper to make.
It is very quiet and easy to use (after checking the basic methods in the manual).
The only thing I would wish for is more granularity on the power settings.
Its a 1000W oven but reheating instructions on food give heating times for 800 to 900W ovens only.
You can select 1000W and the next is 600W. Nothing in between.
You would think that with a dial there would be an option to use it for the power settings.
I use the 900W figure and if the cooking time is long enough I knock 30 seconds off.
The 30 seconds quick cook button is great.
I press 3 times to reheat a coffee for 1m30s.
The light inside is just bright enough.
As they are using LEDs which cost almost nothing to make and run, it would have been nice if they fitted 2.
But it will do.
Update:
I almost lowered my review score after noticing blemishes on the door open button caused by a plastic coating I thought was disguising a white button as black.
Until I peeled it off hehe.
Odd I didnt notice it earlier, but there you are, the button has a soft plastic cover.

Very good microwave. Very quiet in use and of a good quality. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic microwave, simplicity to use and powerful to make short work of warming things through. It does cock far more evenly than other microwaves, this one does have a rotating table which we found for warming thing like soups to be a better bet. Can’t fault it, had it three months so far and hasn’t missed a beat. Very easy to wipe clean inside, it looks like its ceramic coated but whatever it is, it’s easy to get any spills off.
A high quality microwave that performs really well. Well made, roomy, simple to use, looks and feels good. Ticks all the boxes. Well worth paying more for because of the pleasure it gives using it and the performance it provides.
Really pleased with the microwave, nice and quiet and works really well
I am very impressed with this microwave by Panasonic. The microwave is large enough to hold a full sized plate. The controls are nice and easy to work out – no degree in rocket science needed. The food is heated up evenly – no food with cold centres anymore. It is also not too noisy which is handy. All in all a very impressive microwave.
This is a cracking piece of kit. Yes, you can get microwaves for much less money, but they’re genuinely inferior.
Easy to set up, this is a big beast. Cooking at 1000W, it’s much more powerful than most regular microwaves, meaning it takes far less time than normal.
It’s big inside, too, allowing room for a bigger bowl or comfortably fitting more than one.
It’s easy to use, no matter what the function, and the controls are not at all confusing.
In short, this is so far from what our previous microwave was, it’s a revelation.
Excellent value microwave. Easy to use with just the right range of functions. Plenty of room inside for all my fast cooking needs. Chaos defrost works well. Made a fish pie entirely using the oven, even the cheese sauce, and the family said it was the tastiest thing ever! Very, very pleased. Looks good to.
Very impressed with this microwave. It’s so quiet (my old one could be heard halfway across town) and it heats up to 1000w (and even defrosts properly). It’s easy to use too. Big thumbs up.
This is a microwave oven by Panasonic in shiny, gloss black. It fits in nicely with my other non-Panasonic appliances as I have a black and chrome kitchen and this is close enough to sit side by side with everything else. The interior is spacious and though I’ve not tried stuffing a 2kg joint of meat in there, which the manual suggests would be fine, I’ve not had any issues with large portions of food fitting in the oven and being able to easily rotate for an even cooking. The dial for setting the time is great, though in practise I use the quick start setting for small portions of food and reheating leftovers. The child lock is a great feature, if you mash the key pad (like a child might, or like I did without realising I was pressing the wrong button) then the oven will lock you out and not start. I don’t usually have small children in the house, but when friends/family are staying over, at least I know there won’t be any microwave related accidents. All in all, a great microwave and a good addition to my kitchen.
I’ve never had a Panasonic microwave before, in fact I didn’t even know they made them, so I was really pleased to have the opportunity to try this one out.
Like any other microwave it needs a bit of space around it, so best to read the installation instructions before you place it in its final position. This was easy for me, as it just replaced another microwave.
It’s nice and small, but still takes my largest plates and bowls with ease. It is ideal for all reheating purposes, and makes my porridge a lot quicker than my previous model – which was rated at 850 watts.
The controls are really east to work, and you should only need one run through of the instruction leaflet to get you up and running.
It has a child safety lock – which I have never seen before on any microwave I’ve owned. Although my kids are in their 30s now, I can see how this will be a genuinely useful feature for people with younger ones.
The standout feature of this microwave for me is just how quiet it is. Never had one this quiet before, and hope that this will set the new benchmark for future microwaves.
It works really well too. Everything I have tried so far has come out perfectly evenly heated up and defrosting actually works!
I can’t fault it and would certainly recommend it t family and friends if asked.
I’m not sure how the inverter works but whatever it does it seems to do well because everything comes out with hot centers and equally hot outside edges, just as promised. Usually I’ve to stir stuff half way through to make sure it’s all evenly heated but I don’t need to do that with this one which is brilliant. Easy to use controls and takes no time at all to work them out, with or without the instruction manual. Nice styling and not too noisy either. Recommended.
Need to return already received same as gift also need the item to be collected as unable to carry item as too heavy for me
A powerful microwave that works well.
It is a good size, so a dinner plate fits in easily.
The instructions are clear and the microwave easy to use.
Food is heated quickly and evenly, defrosting is efficient.
It also has a lot of very handy features, like a child lock for one!
Duncurin has been reviewing this fabulous microwave the past couple of weeks courtesy of Panasonic and Vine.
It’s an easy thing to unpack, lift and to position. Please note it is designed for a bench top and needs a little ventilation space all around. The flex is a little shorter than I would like but in fairness this still allowed me to position it in an ideal spot on my worktop. It is easy to set up, locate the glass platter on its turntable, set the clock and there it sits with its glossy-black magnificence.
I would say it’s about the perfect size for a microwave; big enough to be useful and yet not so big as to take up acres of worktop. I must confess to be more used to a conventional oven rather than a microwave. In order to give it a thorough test I bought some wonderful microwavable containers for a variety of uses, from Lakeland in the Trafford Centre, and set about trying as many different options as I could. I thoroughly read the instructions and safety instructions first and for someone who has not used a microwave extensively before this was really useful and made sure I did not do something really stupid. All in all it’s very easy and intuitive to use, especially if one follows the rules.
At first, I stuck with simple one-step cooking until my confidence began to build. I then tried the more specialist functions such as the defrost, reheat and the auto-cook. The latter gave me a little difficulty and then I realised I’d input the wrong weight which gave me a longer cooking time than I needed. The advice about not overdoing the cooking times and frequent checking of the food is useful and I soon got into the swing of things. I then tried the multistage cooking and delayed start. The latter may be useful for a recipe with a lengthy cooking time but I suspect otherwise it would be of little use as, on the whole, cooking time is not that long. The multistage programme is useful for more complex recipes as one’s confidence grows.
All in all even for a novice microwaver like me, this is a powerful and versatile machine which is easy to operate and gives access to variety of functions — some which are of more use than others – quickly, easily and intuitively. Running at up to 1000w this Cat ‘E’ class microwave is also extremely capable and no microwavable foods will escape its efficient embrace! It’s all delivered at a tempting and attractive price point.
It’s easy to live with and to keep both inside and outside clean and sparkly. The outer finish is restrained and demure rather than ‘Starship Enterprise’ but this would complement most black-based kitchen schemes.
Lastly, I tried one or two recipe suggestions from the back of the manual. I was amazed how easily these came together and also how quickly. The flapjack for instance was cooked ready cut and cooling in less time than it took me to walk the 100m to our village Tesco to get the ingredients. The acid test came when my wife returned from the gym and pronounced it fabulous and moreish. What more can I say except add my thanks to Panasonic and to Vine – 5 Stars.
I was looking for a large microwave. This one is large without being bulky. It has all the usual functions and a basic display. It is very quiet and efficient from a reputable brand. All good
There’s not really too much you can say about this microwave, but it’s all good. It’s very conventional in every respect, with all the normal functions and facilities. The inverter facility is intended to allow food to cook more evenly without the need for stirring. I don’t doubt the claim, but it’s a little hard to prove. We’ve previously had a Bosch 1000w unit and this Panasonic is of a similar brand quality and performance. One aspect in which it does stand-out is its appearance. In a black finish, it is very elegant and might well be a good choice if you have a stylish and contemporary kitchen. In all other respects it’s a faultless device from a top brand.
We previously had a different Panasonic model so it seemed serendipitous to have this one offered next.
This one is marginally smaller (internally) than our previous one by a few litres, but frankly, it’s hard to tell the difference, and a dinner plate still fits in without problems (which I’ve noticed other reviewers also mention, so I endorse that fact).
What we can tell the difference in, is the updated control panel, which is both simpler than our previous one and yet easier to use. Additionally, the 1000W against our previous 900W makes a small difference in cooking times which we have to take into account when reading the backs of microwaveable dinners (which for some reason use 800W as a standard) so we don’t over cook things!
It looks as good as our old model with its shiny back surround and as mentioned the control panel is very modern looking too, with its big LEDs which are good for my ageing eyes. We haven’t use delayed timing (we can’t think when we might use this) but the child lock is good to prevent little fingers switching things on when they shouldn’t be on.
One great feature is the “quick 30” seconds just to heat up stuff from the fridge (eg left-overs or even previously uneaten cat food!).
All in all, it does exactly what we’ve come to expect from a microwave oven and, because itis the same brand and similar model to our previous one, did not give us any nasty surprises, just well-heated and cooked foot.
Arrived safely packed with easy to follow instructions so I had it up and running in a couple of minutes.
Much more versatile and faster than my previous 800W and also much lighter. A small criticism here in that it is so light that it slips on the work surface when opening the door and entering settings. It is important that there is air space around it so keep an eye on its positioning.
All the expected 3 settings high/medium, low/simmer, defrost/warm with different power available for each setting.
The timer is the easiest to set on any appliance/gadget I own. Having set it you can use the delayed cooking and other time settings. There is even a child lock setting which every such appliance should have. The generous capacity takes a full size dinner plate and even a large family sized roast. roast.
At 1000 wat there is more than enough power and the above variety of settings renders it capable of most food preparation. So far all meals have been first class.
Does it look good on the work surface? Yes it does although the black is a little imposing.
In short an excellent cooker from a proven manufacturer at a keen AMAZON price.
