Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersHighly rate these!
My first pair of wireless earbuds. They are exactly what I wanted.
    Great sound quality. 9.5/10
    Good noise cancellation. 8/10
    Very Good battery life. 9/10
I expected the charging case to hold a bit more charge. But it’s not a big issue.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersGreat sound, comfortable fit.
Great sound, responsive touch controls and pretty decent ANC. A bit on the large side and sticks out of the ears a bit, but not overly offensive and are pretty comfortable over long periods of time.

Connection has been rock solid, and swapping between devices is pretty easy. Battery is good, about as expected from wireless earbuds so 4-6 hours that can be topped up using the case a few times. The case uses USB-C which is great since I only need to have one cable on me, a lot of lower priced sets use micro-USB. Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging here, not a deal breaker for me.

Overall they’re pretty good and I prefer them to my previous Airpods Pro. They sound fuller, louder, and have just as good noise cancellation at a lower price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersQualità super indossabilità meno

Forget Apple – Take Panasonic !

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAlmost brilliant but not perfec
Early days yet, but they sound very good, were easy to set up and I’ve managed to get a good fit. However, the right bud can be a bit unresponsive to tapping and they are quite big, not discrete at all. The ANC is very good but the big drawback for me is their performance when I’m out walking as they suffer from the same issue as lots of sealed buds – what ever I’m listening to is accompanied by the constant “thud, thud” of my footsteps (I believe it’s caused by pressure waves in the ear). Open buds (like my Huawei Freebuds 3) avoid this but at the cost of much diminished ANC performance, so it’s a trade off. I’ll keep them for commuting or where ANC performance is key (like cutting the grass).

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersNot so good for running
Perfect sound quality perfect noise cancellation, not so good for running as it keeps falling out, tried all sizes of ear plugs but still not good. Panasonic should do some running option with hook or some loop like other brands.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersExcellent value, well designed
After two or three firmware updates in the first quarter of this year (2021), the noise cancellation and ambient-sound mode (which allows ambient sound through while you’re out and about) are hugely improved and noise cancellation is excellent. The original firmware provided a crude ambient-sound mode (allowing through a narrow frequency range of sound that did the job but wasn’t pleasant or natural sounding) but the earbuds are now very usable with AS turned on.

Sound quality is excellent, given the current price, as long as you work through all the tip sizes and find the one that works best –that step is important. (Without a good seal, IEMs are essentially useless.) I use these buds with an iPhone and find it helpful to set the EQ of the Music app to ‘flat’. They don’t sound quite as spacious and airy as headsets with larger drivers (these are 8mm) but they do sound good and well balanced when you use a flat EQ setting and get a decent fit for the tips.

Battery life is good (matching the specs–slightly better if you are in a quiet place and don’t need to use the noise reduction or ambient-sound mode) and the case recharges the tips quickly. Nice to know that I’m wearing earbuds with decent water resistance.

The controls work well to summon Siri (I don’t use Alexa) and are now fully reprogrammable with the latest version of the iOS app. You can also permanently switch off the embarrassing blue flashing lights.

I’m very pleased with this set– at current prices, they are excellent value.

Suono ottimo, ANC buono.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our Usersim happy with this, simple, affordable good quality.
i’ve had the Creative and the Sony WF-1000XM3, for different reasons i had to refund them and now i have this ones which im definitely keeping.
touch is responsive and customizable, volume si good (sometimes i want more but none of all the earbuds i’ve used can be louder)
they are comfortable and light, i dont to any workouts but sometimes i have to run to the bus stop and they dont fall (of course they have to be tigth and properly set)
battery last all what i need, case feels cheap and ligther than other ones ive used but is just a case.

sometimes i have connectivity issues, i put them on the case and take them off and thats it.
when pairing be aware of not ticking “share contact and calls” that cause issues and its not needed

you cannot go wrong with these if you are on budget !

    Kurze Zusammenfassung:
Getestet habe ich bislang verschiedene Modelle (u.a.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersVery full featured for the price
Having spent far too long over the last couple of weeks trying to buy my first pair of TWS earbuds I finally settled on these. With no previous experience I had no real idea if I needed to spend 20 or 200.

First of all lets start with what these do not do:
    1) Do not have wear detection (no auto pause when you remove them)
    2) No support for multiple devices (allows pairing to more than 1 device without having to repair)
    3) No wireless charging (USB C only)

On the plus side, these do pretty much everything else. They were well reviewed at 180RRP but could not compete with other models at that price range. With the price cut to ~100 I think these are the current best value proposition. What can they do:
    1) One touch play/pause/answer call on either earbud
    2) Volume control, next/previous track, ANC modes, voice assistant through double or triple taps – Feb 21 firmware now allows full customisation
    3) Individual left or right use, including each bud connecting individually to the phone
    4) Responsive touch controls – the odd mis-press, but the feedback is clear when you do touch them and can be disabled in app. They seem pretty good at detecting you gripping the edge to adjust the fit
    5) Configurable ANC – off / ambient (lets in noise around you) / full ANC – levels configurable in the app
    6) Find headphone function
    7) Blinking LEDs can be disabled in app
    8) Good clear voice prompts so you know what is going on
    9) IPX4 for sweat/rain protection
The sound seems good (I am not an audiophile) for music, podcasts and calls. ANC is very effective. The case is sturdy and the buds clip in nicely with magnets. The buds turn off when you replace them in the case, or turn off after an app configurable time. Removing them wakes them and auto pairs, or touching the touch control if out of the case will also wake them and make them pair.

    A few things to note:
    a) You have to accept location use when you install the app. Some people in the app store have taken issue with this – I assume it is to allow the find function to work.
    b) As a default Bluetooth audio device the volume was quite low. I had to enable developer mode in Android settings (search for it) to unlock a Bluetooth device volume control. Once I did that I had the full range of control I would like, all the way up to too loud. I don’t think this is limited to these buds, rather Android in general.
    c) If you have more than one media app open the touch controls can get confused as to which app to control. For example if you were listening to music and then opened YouTube to watch a video because the music app is still in the notification area (but paused) it will stick with that app not YouTube unless you force close it. This may be BT headsets in general, not just these.
    d) Above about 50% the ambient mode just seems to hiss more rather than letting more sound through, but have not been very far to fully test.
    e) Depending on your ear shape they stick out quite far.

So overall I think these are excellent value for money for a household audio brand, with ANC. They are at least 50 cheaper than the buds that ‘do everything’ but are only ~20 more than the more capable mid-range brands but with many more features.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNoise cancellation is amazing
I got these wireless in-ear headphones to try out when running, at the gym and also casual use.

They fit snuggly, connect straight away and I have had no worry of one falling out when running. Something that gives me great peace of mind if one did fall out is that they come with a find my earbud function which is very reassuring that i will never lose them. They also come with a selection of different sized ear buds so you can get them to be as comfortable as possible.

The noise cancellation is amazing when making calls as is the sound quality they produce and I’ve never had a bad connection. They also comes with a built in virtual assistant so at a touch I can make calls on the go without having to look at my phone.

The battery life lasts around 20 hours which is great for these small powerful headphones.

The charging case they come with is a nice design and fits in my pocket easily, the only negatives I have for this product is they are a little larger than expected and do stick out of my ears a bit, and also they can be a little slow to respond at times but overall these earbuds are fantastic and I recommend!

I like these noise cancelling ear buds. They look and sound really good, being a reputable brand such as Panasonic.

The only thing I didn’t like is how much they stick out of your ears. They are quite sizeable compared to other options.

The noise cancelling feature worked well and you can download the app to adjust levels according to the sound you want.

They are of good quality and charge easily in the provided case which uses micro USB to charge.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSmall but mighty
The headphones are of high quality and deliver a good, clear sound when playing media or making phone calls. The ANC works very well in my opinion and can be turned off if necessary or lets ambient noise through.

Having Alexa inbuilt is a real advantage for me. I regulalry use Alexa at home and got used to get things done by ALexa. A very good function.

Songs can be paused, the volume adjusted and songs skipped via the touch control. Of course, calls can also be accepted and the call volume can be adjusted. However, I found the touch function a bit fiddly, because sometimes it didn’t work quite as intended, for example if 3 touches were rated as 2 because the speed of the touches was not quite right. You probably have to get used to the correct operation first.

Pairing is quite simple, especially when using it for the first time, it is actually self-explanatory: you simply connect the playback device to the headphones. If you then want to pair them with another device, you have to hold a touch surface for 7 seconds as soon as you take the headphones out of the charging case to put them back into pairing mode. And you can use it with another device.

Incidentally, several attachments for the ear buttons in different sizes are included, so that you have a good chance of having the right size for everyone. This is not only comfortable, but also ensures that you can listen to music quite loudly without exposing other people to sound.

All in all, I would recommend the headphones because I am very impressed by the quality of the workmanship and of course the sound quality. I am also very satisfied with the integrated ANC.

They are stowed in the charging box, which is quite small and compact and therefore fits in almost any pocket. Practical for on the go!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMainly good
These earbuds have some fantastic features, the sound quality is great and the noise cancelling is top notch, perfect for going on the train, the background noises completely fade out which means less volume required in the ear and and all around much more pleasant listening experience than other ear buds I’ve tried. Unfortunately the biggest problem I have with these is that I got them primarily for running and they won’t stay in my ear properly, I’ve twice had them drop off while running, luckily during daytime in quiet areas, but if it had of been dark or in a more built up area it could have been a big issue. I do struggle with finding earbuds to fit in general, but was hoping that the design of these would make them stay in my ear better. But they’re very large and clunky to wear, and even though they come with five different earbud size covers I still couldn’t get a snug fit that didn’t fall out.

The battery life on these is good, I tend to use them for an hour or so a day and get a working week from them (5 days approx), before needing to charge them. Its a huge bonus that the case holds enough charge to fully charge them twice before you need to plug them into the USB C cable. This is so great for commuting etc.

There’s a lot to like about these earbuds, and if you plan to use them for low impact activities then the noise cancelling and sound quality will be enough to make you happy. I wouldn’t recommend if you want to use these during exercise however.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersGood buds but unresponsive at times
I won’t bore you with what comes with the earbuds and what features they have, as if you’ve read the description you will know that already, so I’m just going to get down to the important bits and how I’ve found using them over the past month or so.

So as you know these earbuds do come with different sized ear pieces depending on the size of your ears, but what it doesn’t tell you is how to change the things. Thankfully the attached ones are fine for me, albeit a little on the large side maybe as occasionally they do pop out of my ear but nothing major as I only wear them in the house, but might be annoying for those who wear them outside. How comfortable are they to wear? They’re not too bad actually, I can wear them for at least 3 hours before they become uncomfortable but thats just a personal thing, I can’t wear anything in or over my ears for an extended amount of time. One point I do have to make though is how far out they stick out of the ear, not exactly the best of the looks.

Running time I can’t really say as I’ve not worn them to the maximum usage yet, like I said I only wear them for 3 hours at a time and usually once a week, I have only had to charge them 3 times so far though and the fact that once unplugged from USB the case holds charge will charge them without USB a couple of times which I think is really handy especially if like me you can’t be bothered to dig out the charging cable each time.

Operating them is somewhat a challenge though. When you first pair them up with something you just remove them from the case and they automatically go into pairing mode and you can pair whatever you want with and it’s done, actually quite simple. However, if you want to pair it with additional devices it’s an absolute pain. You’re meant to be able to tap one of the ear buds for 7 seconds after removing them from the charging case and must be done within 3 seconds or it connects to the last device instead. No matter how hard I tried I could not get this to work and have to do a hard reset every time I want to connect to something else, I now just just leave it connected to the one device to save all the hassle. Before just leaving at one device though I did try pairing it with other devices to see if anything had issues, it connected to my smart device and mobile phone, but for some reason it would not connect to my laptop nor my tablet. The stop/play function is very easy to use with just a simple tap on the left bud, you can also turn the volume up or down, this does take some getting used to though as I found a lot of the time I was just pausing my music as I wasnt tapping fast enough, you get the right rhythm in order for it to work. Pressing the right bud you can switch between ambient noise, normal and noise cancellation, though I found there’s no a great difference between normal and noise cancellation.

The app makes it easier to make adjustments such as turning on ambient sound, adjusting the equalizer and checking battery life. Sadly this can only be used if its going to be connected to your phone, as I’ve left mine connected to my smart device the app is useless to me.

The sound to me from the buds is very good and clear. You can clearly hear every bass a song is supposed to have and connection is excellent, it doesn’t drop out and travels far. I can go to another room in the house, close the door and it will still work fine.

All in all apart from the controls being a little buggy and unresponsive at times, I’m generally very happy with these buds.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersNot suitable for runners. Perfect for commuters
These have great sound and ANC. They are a good deal larger in real life than they look in the product images, people will certainly notice that you’re wearing ear buds. If you’re buying them solely for commuting etc I’d give these: because the noise cancelling and sound is outstanding.

However I also like to use headphones at the gym and running. Exercises with little movement, benching, slow tempo barbell squats and DB presses etc were not an issue. As soon as you start doing anything more dynamic or explosive e.g. KB swings or running etc. due to the earbuds size and lack of any kind of ear locking feature, these unfortunately fell out of my ears a lot.

If you go to adjust them to when you feel them starting to slip chances are you’ll hit the touch sensors on the edge of the earphones which will pause your music. From a gym user/runners perspective I’d give these:

In the end having the buds slip whilst training got quite annoying for me and so I opted to return mine.

Overall I’d give these avoid if you’re a runner or someone who trains explosively.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood, but battery life poor when using noise-cancelling
I’ve had mixed experiences previously with Panasonic audio equipment, but I really like these earphones. They come with several sizes of earbud, one of which should fit, and are comfortable to wear – and don’t fall out all the time, like some other brands I could mention (yes, Apple, I’m talking to you).

The sound is excellent; decent bass and very clear, even at high volumes. It’s also great that you can control them via the Panasonic app on your phone, and so, in my case, by Alexa.

The one fly in the ointment is the noise-cancelling. This works well, but does seem to destroy the earbuds’ battery life. Without noise-cancelling, they seem to last for around eight hours in one charge; with noise-cancelling you can half that. If not for this, I would have given them a five-star review.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGood audio and full of features - best used with the app
Disclaimer – Initially, I didn’t care much for these headphones. But then I discovered the app through which I could update the firmware, and they were a lot better.

    Pros
    – Excellent audio quality
    – Comfortable to wear
    – Noise cancelling is effective
    – Ambient sound enhancer is amazing
    – Charging case
    – Good battery life

    Cons
    – Connection does a have a habit of periodically dropping
    – Audio on calls sometimes a little garbled
    – Touch sensor too sensitive
    – Some options are dependant on having the app
    – Not the most attractive earphones

As per above, before you start using these, make sure you download the Panasonic Audio Connect App and update the firmware.

While not the most attractive things, once you’ve found the correct sized buds, they are incredibly comfortable. I’ve been wearing them for hours at a time while working and there’s no ache, or discomfort of any kind.

Sound quality is very good for wireless earbuds; there is clarity across the full range with nothing sounding too weak or too overpowered. With the app as well, you have several EQ options, bass-boost, voice clarity, and a simple manual EQ setting. I’m no audiophile, but I’d say that these aren’t too far away quality-wise from my corded Audio Technica m50x’s.

There are settings for both noise cancellation and ambient sound enhancement, that while can be activated by a touch sensor, can only have their levels adjusted via the app.

Noise-cancellation is good, far better than that offered by the Panasonic RB-M700BE. It’ll likely be aided by the fact that they’re in the ear canal, but there was a significant reduction in external noise.

What blew me away, though, was the ambient noise enhancer. It’s the first time I’ve ever experienced the effect, but I liked it. You can walk around with the earbuds in, but no music and you hear things with a lot more sharpness, if there’s music playing you can hear the background, almost as though you’re listening to speakers. Super handy if you’re listening to music but expecting a delivery and don’t want to miss a knock at the door.

No complaints with battery life, they lasted through my days at work which are seven and a half hours. When not in use they slot nicely into the charging case which keeps them topped up.

    My only complaints are connectivity.

They do drop the connection, at least once every hour or so, despite being 30cm away from my phone. The couple of calls I’m made with them on have always had a few garbled sentences, which I’m assuming is due to connectivity.

Also, as the touch sensor is almost the whole surface of each earbud whenever you touch them, you seem to set something off.

My initial rating was 3/5, but after finding and using the app, I’m more inclined to give them 4/5. To get the most out of these earbuds, you really have to use them in conjunction with the app.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGood sounding earbuds but too bulky for my liking
These Panasonic earbuds are built very well, I would say that overall quality is great for the price and I haven’t had any issues with the earbuds so far as they are quite durable.

Compared to the other earbuds I tried these ones are quite bulky and top-heavy, so they do not have the most secure fit in my ears as I would have liked. My partner couldn’t even use them for a few minutes without them falling out, it is just a matter of the shape of your ear canal, so keep that in mind. They do come with 5 different sized silicone tips, so it is possible to customize them to your needs. To me, simple silicone ear-tips were never a good solution, but a cost-cutting one, so I would recommend using these only when being mostly still and not for exercise.

They are very easy to use, they are mostly plug-and-play out of the box and have an easy to use interface. You just have to remember what each earbud does depending on the number of presses. I love that they have touch buttons as they are easier to use plus you are not pressing the earbud deeper into the ear canal which can sometimes be painful. For the price, I am happy to see the touch buttons as I see them as a premium feature. The case is also slightly bigger than usual and it does pack a bit more charge than usual (800 mAh). It has a USB Type-C connector and it is quick to charge and it gives the earbuds some 13 additional hours of playtime. The earbuds themselves have around 6 hours of playtime depending on whether you are using ANC or not as that tends to drain the battery much quicker. As per usual, the lid has a magnet for secure hold, the case has charge indicator and the earbuds have status indicators as well to give you all the needed information at the moment.

The earbuds sports Bluetooth 5.0 which has matured quite nicely and works very well to the point where it is hard to distinguish it from cable connection, at least to me, the HiFi community would disagree. They only included two industry-standard codecs SBC, AAC but I would have liked if they added at least one of the Qualcomm’s codecs for the better sound quality on the phones that do not support SBC or AAC, but naturally have Qualcomm aptX, aptX HD, etc. codec.

The app is very sleek and easy to use, the equalizer is easy to get to and the profiles are very nice to have as you can easily save them and switch between them when necessary. The active noise-cancelling feature works extremely well as it has dual hybrid technology that captures the surrounding sounds and cancels them out with the addition of the excellent seal the silicone tips create. The ambient sound feature is very useful in the office, or out in the streets as it gives you awareness of your surroundings.

When it comes to sound quality these earbuds are very good, they sound excellent and I was surprised by their acoustic range giving me an impression that they have more than one driver. The bass is very strong yet not overdone, it is not overpowering and if tweaked to max does not sound blaring, the midrange is pretty good and the highs are very crisp and you can definitely tell the difference when compared to regular earbuds.
However, I do not feel qualified enough to provide the best and relevant opinion so I borrowed these to my musician colleague who told me that in his opinion these earbuds sounded excellent, it reminded him of a pair of headphones from the likes of Bose, Sennheiser, Sony, etc. but not as powerful of course and he was very pleased with the acoustic range and the very good equalizer.

Overall, I am really impressed by these earbuds and would recommend them easily, the only thing I am not a fan of is the design and the fit. They are priced very decently and give a lot of value for the price.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat sound quality but very big.
I am a bit in two minds about these earbuds. have never tried Apple Airpods so I am not in a position to compare these to the very popular alternative. However, I am impressed with the sound quality of these wireless noise-cancelling earbuds. The music just sounds beautiful and very vibrant.

However, my biggest issue is just the sheer size of them. There are 5 in-ear bits to choose from so you can get the correct size for your ear. However, because they are so large I just struggled to get comfortable wearing them, they stick out quite a bit. It looks a bit strange, maybe alright if you have long hair to cover your ears. They are alright at first but after about 5 minutes of listening, you really start to feel them. I personally much prefer over-ear headphones, you can wear them for hours without getting annoyed.

    On the positive side:
    – They can be operated by touch
    – Set up is easy
    – Phone calls sound great
    – Sound is good
    – The ‘find my buds’ functionality is kind of handy
    – Noise cancelling is pretty decent
    – IPX4 Water Resistance

    On the negative side:
    – They are not comfortable for wearing for a very long time
    – They are not good for wearing while being very active (like running)

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersGreat sound, but not as rhythmic as AirPod’s or Jabra’s. Voice calls - far from perfec
Really good musically, if a bit rhythmically lacking with more complex music. Sound is really good with a good balance right across treble, mid and bass. Deep bass, definitely not ‘tinny’, and they’re loud too. Noise cancellation top notch too. Shame about the call quality. These are very competent earbuds but musically are not as good as Jabra or AirPods, and at this price, the gap shouldn’t be this noticeable. Voice calls too. For me, I will stick with my Jabra 75t as my daily commute earphones.

Packaging is ok – lots of unnecessary plastic, but you do feel as though you’re purchasing a premium product.

    Inside contained :

    – 2 black bluetooth earbuds
    – Charging case
    – Black USB C charging cable
    – 4 spare pairs of earbuds (5 sets in total, each pair a different size)
    – Numerous instruction books

    So far so good

In fact, better as these are impressive looking wireless earbuds, completely without wire. They are really small. See the picture of them compared to a one pounds coin.

First things first, and there is a piece of paper in the box advising you to do so – ensure a full charge – with both earpieces in their charging case and using the usb c cable supplied, charge both the case and earpieces at the same time. LEDs confirm these have arrived c. completely empty. A few hours later, 3 LEDs none lit (they’ve stopped flashing too) will reflect that earbuds and case have fully charged.

The charging case feels robust, closes firmly and opens easily.

Not too much can be said about the earbuds other that they’re small and have metal charging pins. Also that each earbud has one touch ‘button’ that you press for functionality. These feel as though they are very well made.

Once fully charged, pairing is simple and automatic, simply select RZ-S500W within the Bluetooth settings. No need to download the app. When removing out the case, they will automatically connect if you’ve previously paired.

Both earpieces in, and pleasingly, I can play or pause, go back to previous songs or skip songs. Both earbuds play/pause with a touch on either earbud. Double touching the right earbud for the next song, triple touch to go backwards. Double touching the left earbud lowers the volume whilst triple touching raises it. Long touch the left earbud for Siri on an iPhone, whilst long touching the right earbud accesses ambient sound and noise cancellation (more on these later). The earbuds do stick a tad out of your ears though. The touch is not too sensitive and you can adjust the positioning of the earbuds without impacting the listening enjoyment.

    Sound quality …
It’s good but I expected more. I was expected / hoping for good quality, and they are good quality. Sound is delivered in stereo (should be an obvious point) and it is very well balanced across the music spectrum – treble, mid and bass. Bass included, yes, it’s quite deep considering these are wireless earphones. Volume is very loud too. Sound is nice, bass impressive and not as overpowering as the Jabra 75t actives. The 8mm drivers doing a fantastic job. Perhaps not the most rhythmical with complex tracks, but you won’t notice if you’re not comparing them. My everyday use headphones are the Jabra 75t actives and so the difference is noticeable.

I experienced no cutting out or dropping of music. No distortions, hissing or anything negative, even at full volume.

    They stay in very well.

Battery life – great. These will give you up to 6.5 hours before succumbing to a recharge (I can and do reach to a tad below 6 hours before succumbing and recharging). Charging is simplicity itself – Simply pop these in the charging case (they’re not magnetic but do push easily into position) and you will get a multiple of full charges before having to recharge the case. I have not managed to fully test the case but instructions state 19.5 hours of charge from case.

Finally, these are IPX4 – rainproof and sweat-proof.

    Ambience and noise cancellation …
Ambience controls what you can hear outside whilst using these. Straight forward to use and incredibly effective.
Noise cancelling is incredible for earbuds so small and reduce any external noise generated. The noise cancellation should also block out unwanted noise from phone calls

    Phone calls …
Touch to answer, long touch to end call. I could hear clearly but was constantly told that my voice call quality constantly deteriorated as calls progressed and sounded tinny at times. Disappointing considering the price. Perhaps a firmware update might prove beneficial, so I will have to download the app after all !! The app itself allows me to adjust the various settings, noise cancelling included as well as not the percentage battery life remaining (but only for the buds and not the case) and use the find my headphones function.

Post firmware update and prioritising clear voice sound within the app – my voice still sounded muffled and with static. Chalk and cheese compares to Jabra and AirPods.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOverall, a really nice pair of earphones.
They sound nice, have a good battery life and feel like they are good quality.
The earphones themselves are really nice. They have the standard single button pairing and red/blue lights for pairing that you’re probably used to if you’ve ever used bluetooth earphones before. The batteries inside last longer than you could reasonably use them for in one go and the charging case has just over 3 full charges in.

Noise cancelling is as expected, and the ambient sound feature where you can hear your surroundings better is more than just a novelty and is actually pretty useful. There’s also a great selection of earbud sizes, and they do feel pretty comfortable although a little loose, which means they may not be the most suitable for exercise. They do look quite nice, but also stick out of your ears quite a bit more than how they appear in the photos.

The touch buttons are in a bit of a weird place and there’s no physical feedback while pressing them so it’s easy to accidentally press while adjusting them in your ear. After a bit of use the controls are actually really quick and easy to use, and have all the standard functionality you’d expect (pause, play, skip, etc).

The audio quality is good for the price. There’s quite a lot of bass but that can all be adjusted in the app with the EQ feature, as well as other things such as ‘clear voice’ for audiobooks/calls.

When placing the earphones in the case you have to make sure to get the orientation roughly right, but the silver ring along the top of each earphone helps with that and it becomes really easy after just a little bit of use.

These are quite expensive compared to other alternatives, but they’re of a good enough quality to justify the price and I’d recommend if you’re looking for a good quality pair of earphones that will last.

RZ-S500 review - Headphones for every day carry (EDC)
This review is for the higher end RZ-S500, for some reason after making the purchase, my purchase now appears as a RZ-S300.

I love these, after using the WF-1000XM3 for a year, the RRA-S500 immediately replaced them as my go to EDC. The sound quality, the fit, the way they sit in your ears is so much better then the Sony. The Sony are higher quality in terms of build, and feel, but the panasonics beat them in everything but noise cancelling. Panasonics still do a really good job, its 90% what the sony’s do. The panasonics also go much louder, they actually have both volume and playback control, left earpiece is volume, and right earpiece is playback. While walking, the units do rub in my ears, so you get bone conduction, and a thump every step I take, can mitigate this with some foam stickers, but I would say these aren’t the True Wireless Earphones to get for sport. Still better then the Sonys as the Panasonics are at least a little sweat resistant and much lighter. I have no worries about turning my head too fast and having the Panasonics fly out- unlike the Sony’s.

The case! It’s so much smaller, something you can throw in your pocket and forget about. Nowhere near the same level of stash and forget as Apple airpods, but compared to the Sony’s which I hated carying in my pockets its great. The panasonic case is also much lighter and flimsier, but the Sony’s were just over built. Panasonics don’t have NFC pairing from the case like the Sony’s. Also the Panasonics don’t have the in ear detection the Sony’s have, I hated that feature, turned it off asap.

Overall, for the price, these are great, proper headphone quality sound from small, noise cancelling earbuds that fit in your ear, and stay in place.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGreat audio quality and features, but...
So I have been using these Panasonic RZ-S500WE-W True Wireless Earbuds for the past few weeks and they’re amazing, however have a few design flaws that need polishing….

    Build quality of the earbuds:

The case for the earbuds are quite compact and could fit into your jean pocket pretty easily, however they’re about x1.5 larger than the 2nd gen AirPods case (as a point of comparison). The Earbuds themselves are far too chunky in my opinion. I understand that this could be because of all the awesome features it has (which I walk talk about later in this review), however they just stick out too much and will be very noticeable. The earbuds come with several different ear tips, so there’s sure to be one to fit the inside of your ears well.

The battery life is great, you can get up to 6.5hrs of battery life on one charge. These were able to get me through the day with enough battery to spare for most of the following day. These headphones also allow for good Bluetooth range, I was able to leave my phone on one side of the garden and workout on the other, and had no interference with audio/connection.

    Setup process:

The setup process is pretty easy and straight forward. Simply download the Panasonic audio connect app and turn on the earbuds to sync via Bluetooth. By doing this, you will then have access to the Panasonic audio connect app, which contains several features which will enhance and level up your earbuds listening experience.

    Audio Quality:

The active noise cancelling is one of the best I have experienced for wireless earbuds. You can even turn on ambient sound that facilitated different levels of noise cancelling, so that you can control what you hear from the world around you, all at your fingertips. The bass is awesome and the volume can get pretty loud, which makes it perfect for them heavy hitting workouts. Speaking of workouts, these weren’t great for a boxing session, where they would often feel like they were going to fall out. Saying that, these earbuds would be better for weight training workouts, and not so much workouts with a lot of mobility.

The App also allows for EQ (Equalising) which allows you to customise your audio settings. The app even has a ‘Clear Voice’ setting that makes human voices seem less artificial and more clearer, a fun effect to try but personally one that I don’t use.

    The bottom line?

If you don’t mind the chunky design aesthetic, then these are for sure worth checking out. They offer more features than the Apple AirPods at about the same price tag. Overall, a high quality and near polish True Wireless earbuds by Panasonic.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGreat value. Easy control
The first thing I did was try different sized earbuds to get a comfortable fit. There is plenty choice with five sizes to try. The next job was to charge them up, which did take a couple of hours. They were really easy to pair with my phone.
The noise cancellation is really good and the sound quality excellent. It is easy to control for volume, pause and answer calls. The earbuds give about 6 hours continuous playtime with the charger being able to charge about 18 hours in total.
I feel that they are great value for the quality of the product.

Definitely notice the noise cancelling aspect on this, and found the sound good. Personally haven’t ever had any issues with Sony. Great to have the Alexa aspect. Easy to set up and pair. My only niggle is that they are a little large/heavy for my ears which is such a shame. I can fiddle around and get them to fit, but they feel like they are falling out. Much better suited to OH and look better on him too.

Very impressed with this product. The earbuds are very simple to use and the sound quality is about as perfect as I have ever heard. The touch sensitivity function works well. Very comfortable to wear and as they and the case are the sizes they are very portable. Straight out of the box they came partially charged and I managed to pair them with my phone within seconds. There are various taps and holds on either headphone allow for different functions, such as pause, play, answer/reject phone calls, etc. If you need earbuds for exercise I would highly recommend these ones. I highly recommend them.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersPretty good
I was expecting to receive the black version of these earbuds, but received the white in error. I actually like the white and am glad that is the case; okay, the case is not as sleek as that for my airpod pros and it is quite clunky, but it has a tactile finish that I actually really like. The earbuds themselves are clearly a different shape and with a more bulbous design that makes them jut out a little further from the ear, but not in a way that makes them uncomfortable.

Fit is good, with a choice of five different sizes of tops to ensure you get the ones that work best with your ears. I actually found this better than the airpod pros as even the smallest tips for those feels uncomfortable in my ear. The Panasonic choices provided one that was perfect for me, although obviously every ear is different. You need to twist the earbud to achieve a good fit after insertion.

Note that the first thing you need to do is charge the earbuds on arrival; this is so important that a leaflet has been carefully inserted to ensure you see this instruction as soon as you open the box. Pop the earbuds into their cradle and plug in for around 4 hours and you will charge both earbuds and their cradle, the latter providing two more recharges for the earbuds or a total potential usage time of close to 20 hours starting from a full charge. The earbuds can be charged for just 15 minutes and that will produce around an hour of playback if you are pushed for time.

Sound quality is good and the noise cancellation is also acceptable give the rrp of this item versus the airpod pro, whose noise cancellation properties are superior in my opinion. But I don’t think there is anything to choose between the two in terms of sound, whether you are using these for music or being interrupted by a call.

I like these earbuds and the choice of tips makes the fit pretty good. Sound is very good.

Are you looking for a pair earbuds in the mid-priced range? Then may I recommend you looking at these Panasonics? They are good, really quite good.

When you take out the box you get a black plastic charging case with Panasonic embossed, a black pair of earbuds with a silver outer (and spares all sizes from XS to XL) and a charge cable USB to USB C.

Setting up is easy peasy, simply download the Panasonic Audio Connect app from either Google Play for Android or App Store for iOS. This will automatically search for your headphones after you agree to various pairing prompts, device name RZ-S500W and will update any required firmware (takes roughly 5 mins). Then you are good to go. Put the earplugs in once you are happy with the fit, then put on a lengthy song with the most impressive array of textures (I chose The Seahorses Love Is The Law), go to Ambient Sound Control sub menu, set your own studio, cancel all outside noise or a little or non. I advise cancel all external noise out and get lost in music, you owe these earplugs that. Once that is sorted move onto the Sound Enhancement sub menu, you can roll with Panasonics default, add the Bass Enhancer, clear voice (better for calls, audiobooks or podcasts) or you can be the tinker man and set your own preference. I always go with a steady U shape just above the middle line, everything in + with treble n bass being max. A rock / indie club nite default, well it suited n sorted me over 20 years. Only a couple of blown bass bins playing Aphex Twin ha. Now your song of choice should be sounding spot on? Yeah? This set will make the best bits of your fave tunes sound great, as it highlights every sound textute. Each pluck of that guitar string, bang of the drum, stroke of bass, hit of key or each high note hit or missed by the vocals. The sound quality is awesome, it will give you whatever you want it too and there are not too many in the market that will give you that.
You can also pair this with Alexa from the Panasonic Audio Connect app, as there is an icon on the homepage…just touch n hold left and Alexa tell me the weather etc.

Using the earbuds is so east to pause music – single tap left, vol up – treble tap left, vol down – double tap left, next track – double tap right, back track – treble tap right, to receive call touch (either) once, to bounce call or end a call – hold (either) for 2 secs, change external noise levels – touch right for 2 secs and to access voice assistant (Alexa) touch left for 2 secs (you don’t need Alexa / Google etc App open either, it’s magic!).

I’m really impressed with the battery levels too, as they are displayed on the homepage of the App, you can see how much juice you have on either bud. A quick charge of 15 mins will get you 70 mins worth of playback, 2hrs for 6.5hrs or a full charge will give you 19 hrs 30 mins.

The range is good for at least 40ft which is impressive, to the end of the garden.

Overall I am very happy with these, as they are superb in every possible way whether it be sound quality, style, comfort and features.

I really recommend this set of Panasonics, these are going to hard to beat at the price, and nearly as good as the more prestigious top branded sister product. Almost identical, just some minor differences with to the untrained ear / eye won’t go unmissed.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIncredible sound for audio - Larger than AirPods etc - Good battery life
The main thing is did you want to know about when you’re looking at headphones is how they sound and I have to say that they sound far better than the AirPod pros that they replace. The noise cancellation function works really well the ambient sound function isn’t quite as good as they Apple equivalents however I imagine this is something that will be addressed in the later software update as these are relatively new – It was good, but struggled a little in busier crowded areas to deliver what you wanted to hear.

These also have the Alexa function built-in however I do not use Alexa so I am unable to comment on this however I would expect that as the Alexa integration for most products works this would be no different.

The touch controls went to temperamental and I found the EarPods easy to fit and for me they fitted really well, I allowed my partner to try them with slightly different size buds on, but she did mention that when she was running, one seemed to come loose a few times that may be more down to how she had it fitted then the product itself, but I do think the larger cabinet back may have something to do with that.

In terms of portability they come in handy with charging case which is recharged via USB-C which as someone who loves Mac products is great as I always have a USB-C power bank or charger.

The Panasonic app worked as expected on iOS so no complaints there.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSuper sounding bass and active noise cancellation that works well.
These S500 are similar to the S300 however they are the upgraded version. They sport a matte look which is good as it keeps the fingerprints at bay. They are IPX4 rated so splash resistant but don’t wear them in the shower. Using them in the gym or outside should be fine. These buds sport the latest Bluetooth 5.0 which should be more energy efficient and have more stable connectivity.

The case that comes with them is easy to open. There are three LED lights on the front which show the charge status of the battery. The buds fit snuggly into the case when they are being charged and are easy to remove when you want them.

The battery is very small in these so you are going to limited on playback time with these. They can manage up to 6 hours. I managed about 5 hours. This was enough to listen to some audio books and a couple of albums throughout the day. The case holds its own battery and can recharge the airbuds but it will only provide another 14 hours playback. Fine for a weekend away and you won’t need any power cables to pack.

The S500W buds utilize Panasonic’s Audio Connect app for controls. You can operate all the standard functions right from your smartphone. It has voice assistant compatibility, you can even operate the controls hands-free.

It has great sound with 8mm drivers and the active noise cancellation really works well in masking out all the noise from around you even in the loudest of traffic. The noise cancellation feature does impact the battery life so this can be adjusted in the settings if power is more important to you. bass The sound has strong bass, good treble and the audio separation is great. The hands free feature worked well as well and picked up my voice loud and clear.

    PROS

Excellent sound quality — strong bass
    Charging case
    Snug fit
    Nice design
    Active noise cancellation

    CONS

Battery life takes a big hit when using noise cancellation
Battery life only 6 hours max

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersGood sound quality and comfortable
I’ve not really given Panasonic audio equipment much of a try before so I was interested in how these Wireless Earbuds with Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling stacked up against the likes of Jabra and Sony, among others.

The earbuds come in a nice pill case that, like others, recharges via USB C cable (included). The case provides charge for the earphones and these alone give 6.5 hours on a full charge, with about 3 and a half charges from the case providing up to 20 hours overall before you need to look at finding a cable to recharge them.

Also included are a good range of different size earbuds, from the small (which I wear) to the large ones attached by default. It should provide enough support for everyone’s ear sizes. Fit-wise, they feel fine though they tend to stick out a bit. The only issue is down to whether your ear shape can cope with the sort of rounded wireless earphones that don’t have something else to hold them to your ears, but that’s a general issue with all of these, including the Jabras and others. Only the Jaybirds I own have a good solution to this with an extra piece on top that holds them to your ears.

The earphones are comfortable to wear and the touch sensitive controls fairly easy to use. They can stop and start music, answer calls and turn on and off the ambient sound and noise cancelling modes.

The earphones don’t magnetically snap into the case, you need to carefully place them in the right position to recharge, which is a slight pain if you need to put them away quickly but generally works okay.

The sound is clear with a good range but does lack a little bass compared to the Jabra 75t set, though it will really depend on how you like your sound as those are quite bass heavy. The Panasonic audio app does allow for a Bass Enhancement mode that gives you a little more punch, a mode to make voices clearer (great for audiobooks) and also provides an equaliser that helps you to get a sound that suits you better, though some of the settings only make a noticeable difference at higher volumes.

Noise cancelling works surprisingly well, you really do notice a difference when you turn it on and off and Ambient Sound mode does a good job of doing the opposite where outside sounds can be heard clearly while using the earphones.

Overall these have a good sound balance, not the greatest but still very good, and they work well especially when paired with the app which makes them ideal for audiobook fans with their clear voice option. They’re also good value for money given the sound quality.

    Small but powerful ear buds.
For sound quality, size and noise cancelling these ear buds are a genuine contender for AirPods ( my kids have these).
They arrive with all the things you need- charging lead (c type so faster charging) various sized covers for the ear buds to make sure you are comfortable, charging/ carry case.

They need a charge when you first get them and this takes a few hours, you can see when they are done as the red light turns blue and when they are running out of battery when in use the opposite happens, so you have fair warning when they need a boost and you shouldn’t be caught out.

The sound quality is really good, they are not quite as good in the noise cancelling stakes as the over ear buds, but they come close and the outside world is pretty much cut out and the sound leakage from your music is minimal unless you have them ridiculously loud.
They are comfortable in your ear, they also stay put in normal use, I’m not going to use them while jogging as I don’t think they are up to that level of jiggle but for using on the train on your lunch break etc they are good.

The instructions are good, there are several languages and several booklets but I found it easiest to use the qr code in them and get a very easy to follow and comprehensive guide on my iPad.
The connection was easy and there is an app “Panasonic audio connect” to download ( again there’s a qr code to guide you in the right direction) and this has all the updates etc as well as making connection easy.

Sound quality is really good, it’s crisp and clear and I’ve been impressed by it at normal volumes, however it is not only uncomfortable if you have it too loud but thee is a little distortion too.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersIch bin super zufrieden mit ein paar Ausnahmen.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersIdeal zum Jogge

(Siehe Screenshot)

Golden Review Award: 90 From Our UsersEin klasse Hörer! (UPDATE!)

Gut gemacht Panasonic!

Golden Review Award: 120 From Our UsersDie derzeit (2020) besten true wireless inear mit ANC !

Lautstrkeregelung.
Auch die Ladeschale ist schn klein. Die Sony Ladeschale ist leider sehr klobig.

    Hier meine Rangfolge:

    1. Panasonic RZ-S500WE
    2. Sony WF-1000XM3
    3. Apple Airpods pro
    4. Libratone track air+

Alles in allem, meine derzeit liebsten ANC true wireless Inears.

    Danke Panasonic. Hervorragende Ingenieursarbeit.
