This is basically a proper monitor in every way except size, the image quality is great and it works perfectly.

The only minor gripe is there is a plastic protective layer over the screen when it arrives, there is a tab that you need to pull to remove it but they are just glued together. As such, when you pull the tab, the tab comes away and leaves the plastic layer in place. Which means you’re going to be there for 10 minutes trying to get this layer off with a pair of tweezers and trying not to scratch the plastic underneath.

    Pros:
    – Sharp 1080p picture
    – Light weight
    – Adjustable display settings

    Cons:
    – Audio. The speakers audio balance is off and the headphone Jack has slight white noise when no audio is playing.
    – Casing. The plastic feels cheap at first, but I don’t hold the display.
    – Stand. Its ok if you dont have anything else.

Overall, for being a small portable display, its a 10/10 if you do not require sound to be played from this device.

    Amazing tiny display

I have a bunch of servers on a switch that I use one monitor for. The old monitor was quite big and clunky given the screen real estate. Ordered this, as I needed the VGA input. Reasonable price, good size, and easy to view/read HD screen. Held off any review as some comments mentioned short lifespan but a few months on all is well. Monitor came with a rack style stand. There was an offer for a free traditional stand in the box. The free stand arrived within 48 hours of the requested details being provided.

Very good all round hdmi port is on the side which means you have to get a 90degree cable to hide it.

One of my lockdown projects was to hook up the RTSP feeds from my Ubiquiti Cameras to a Pi and small monitor having found out how to do it all. This monitor does the trick. Great quality picture from my cams. Reference is made to Pi4 in the description and the need to comment out a line in a conf file. I didn’t find that necessary. VESA mounts means I can fix the Pi to the rear of the unit once I have got the appropriate case and shorter cables.

The stand is a bit naff, but would be hard pressed to deduct a star for that. It does what is supposed to do and keeps the monitor on my desk. By definition, it stays switched on whenever I’m in the office at the back of the house so i can keep an eye on what is going on. Only time will tell if the monitor lasts OK. Shame that Ring doesn’t allow a live feed for their doorbells outside of their ecosystem as then I could add that as well!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI just love this monitor. I have found everything about it to be excellent. I bought it primarily for portable use in conjunction with a tiny NUC computer that came with Windows 10 at less than 200. It is connected to the NUC via HDMI and the sound quality of its built in speakers is good, so do not need any other speakers. I added a 120 GB SSD to my NUC as well as more RAM (so it now has 10 GB) and then added an APPSDATA partition (for use with Windows) then installed Linux Mint 20 in using the rest of the space. The monitor works great with a 1920 x 1080 display and good sound under both operating systems. The included folding wire stand and 12V dc power input are also ideal for my needs. I highly recommend it!

Great small HD monitor with sound, ideal for small portable computer under both Linux and Windows.

This is a good screen with excellent picture quality. I can’t comment on the sound as I’m not using it.
One thing to note is that I am running it with a Raspberry Pi and when the screen is on there is quite a large amount of RF interference. It doesn’t trouble me for my application, but watch out if putting it near Bluetooth devices.

using this with both a raspberry pi and lattepanda SBC via a HDMI switch – very compact but gives full screen for all uses

Excellent screen. Works great on all my RPi’s from pi zero to pi 4. Often use it as a second screen on Pi 4. Only wish it had a USB power connection. So I ordered power bank with a jack plug to make it portable.

The monitor works very well as a monitor on my old Pi B+. I cannot try the touch screen with this model of Pi.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersItem works well. The stand is poor, but I guess most people will make a work around. The reviews and Q&A appearing are not for the advertised item, which is a simple 10inch monitor.

It works straight away with Raspberry pi 3+ and windows did not try mac but I don’t see any reason not to. If it was Touch screen that would be perfect.
