I brought this for my uni room due to mold issues and my clothes taking three days or more to dry, however if I leave my fresh washing with the dehumidifier next to it the clothes dry within a couple hours and gathers dust from the room at the same time

Bought due to a minor damp problem in one room. Now use it daily throughout the house when drying clothes & after teens take long showers and leave the place steaming! It collects so much water, which we then use to water the houseplants – win win.
Not too heavy to move around. Usually pick it up rather than wheel it.
Tip: I was confused on first use as to why it wasn’t collecting water when I knew the humidity was highyou just need to set it to for eg 40% and it’ll kick i

It certainly works, especially when the temperature is higher – during the colder days the effectiveness seems to be reduced a lot, but when it is warmer the amount of water collected is substantial.
The noise it produces is noticeable even at low setting so def. not quiet, but not too bad either. The sleep mode has something I find really annoying – when the compressor stops and starts after, it makes even more noise and sounds more like a mini fridge than dehumidifier – the noise goes down soon though.

Not as silent as I thought it’d be but does the job well for occasional dehumidify bathroom on those wet wintey days when opening windows is not a great option.

Very quiet and efficient and great to see the humidity level of a room. Didn’t give 5 stars as not sure why it keeps going into P1 which means defrost when it’s in a house

This is a neat appliance and does the job well. Easy to operate and not noisy. I knocked off a star because it is absolutely impossible to connect the plastic tube provided in order to collect more water than the tank holds, which means the volume of water collected is limited to the capacity of the tank, and stops when full.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThere is nothing to negative to say about this appliance. It does everything that the manufacturer says it does. It’s very efficient, costs very little to run and has some great features such as a digital humidity display and a self cleaning program to keep the unit safe and for trouble-free running. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersExcellent product. Had extreme condensation issues where the windows needed de molding and repainting. As soon as I got this, all dampness and condensation became managable. Dries clothes efficiently too. Filter is easy to clean and night mode is quiet enough to sleep to. Slightly heavy but with the handle it’s easy to lift or roll to the other room. I have to empty it at least once a day, which is good. It means it’s doing it’s job well. Worth every penny.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe now have 2 of these dehumidifiers in our home as they work so well at removing condensation in the home. Otherwise every winter our home would get mould especially around the windows. This year we havent had this problem and I think this is because of the machines.
Every day we manage to remove 1 tank full of water from both machines! The high setting can feel abit noisy if you keep it running at night as you sleep so if you are a light sleeper probably set it to low. I like that there is a timer built in so I can let it run at bedtime without having to think about waking up to turn it off. I also like that the machine has wheels to push it from place to place and a handle to easily carry it to another room. I bought both machines during the prime day sales so I think the price was good and the brand is usually reliable so I hope it lasts a while especially as the dehumidifier feels sturdy.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIf you should happen to find yourself rug doctorin’ in December, then you are in a situation where the wet-vacced carpets are going to take too long to dry…. and will end up mildewy and stinky. NOT desirable!
So I needed one of these to slurp up the damp.
First things first, it worked right out of the box. I can hear angels singing.. Plug it in, press a button and boom, we are dehumidifying! And sure enough, within an hour or two, the caddy is filling up with water. It’s a piece of cake to pull the caddy out, tip the water down the drain, push the caddy back in and it just keeps on rolling. SO user friendly!
My carpets are drying out fast, this little unit is purring away to itself and life is good. Full marks.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a brilliant piece of kit for draining humidity from the air. We live in an old house in The Highlands of Scotland and such places and areas are notoriously damp. This is the second such item we have bought but it is as another reviewer said, heavy. One is fine if you live on one level but we have a two storey house and carrying it up and down stairs has led me to sustaining groin strain, tension round the neck and shoulders plus both knees being put out (I am seventy two years old which doesn’t help). I would therefore suggest any buyer my age, who is not young and fit, get two – one for dragging across the floor to various rooms upstairs and the same for downstairs.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersHaving this dehumidifier for a full year and running it every day 24/7, I can say that not only it performs exceptionally well by keeping the humidity on comfortable levels but it also built to last.

The noise level is quite low, it is noticeable when working but it isn’t discomfortingly loud. I have slept with it turned on in my bedroom and it’s humming wouldn’t annoy me at all.

    Good points:
    – Reliable
    – Easy to install and work
    – Covers the area it is advertised for
    – Pretty much self subsisted device (with the exception of emptying the tank). You turn it on and let it run on it’s own.

    Not Good points:
    – The water tank get filled daily and need emptying in my case. I should have bought a model with a larger tank.
    – The water tank is quite fiddly to take off and put back on. I wouldn’t recommend this device to older people, as the water tank is located at a very low height and can be quite difficult to take out and carry around if it is full. One needs to bend over and unhinge it from it’s location. This can be a hazard for spilling the contained water. There is the option to use the tube outlet to somewhere you can drain the accumulated water.

I am generally very happy with this dehumidifier as it does the job. I’ll probably buy a one with a larger tank from ProBreeze next year.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGood: absorbs loads of water – more than you’d ever realise, definitely improved the damp and condensation in the room. Even dried wet clothes quickly.

Bad: it is loud which doesn’t bother me too much – it’s actually a soothing sound but may bother others, really heavy even when empty so a pain to move from room to room, a couple of times it’s turned itself off because the room was too cold when I put it in the kitchen so may be sensitive to other people’s rooms too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy 1st dehumidifier, I’m very pleased with it’s efficiency. I bought a smaller useless one at the same time. I used this one today, it’s been raining lots, had washing drying indoors on a rainy day, showers, washing dishes etc, and it took a good litre of water out of the atmosphere. I love the ease of moving it, the wheels, and handle, although it’s heavy to take up/down the stairs. I like the display screen and choice of fast/slow fan, and economical on energy use. Overall, I’m very happy with it, and really pleased I bought it in the sale. Thank you.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have been looking for a dehumidifier for a while. It’s so many to choose from and different reviews. After using pro breeze I can say I made a good decision to buy it that model. It’s brilliant. It’s not too loud. I live in 2 bedroom flat quite new build even though I open windows every day I have a problem with condensation on my windows.
I was shocked how much water was collected within 5 h of use.
Sleep mode it’s quiet. Did my washing and used it on sleep mode at night to see how much water will be collected. More then half of container
In the morning I can see the difference in room temperature. Having frosty mornings and really cold days didn’t put heating on since I use dehumidifier.

Saw the same model had an RRP of 139.99 and a Black Friday deal of 126.99 (& free delivery). I only paid 1 more, however the RRP on Amazon is 189.99 and currently selling at 159.99. Always check with the manufacturers, they often offer a better deal direct.

We live in a victorian house. We had a lot of damp.
It has taken so much water from the rooms. The house smell better and the air feels a lot less damp.
The water tank fills up within 6 hours.
    It’s a nice compact size.

It helps with the drying the washing a bit, but dose not have a laundry setting

The only down size is it’s heavy to carry up and down the stairs. Also it’s quite low even on the night setting so can’t sleep with it on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can’t believe how much water was in my house.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI honestly don’t care how sad or desperate this may sound, but this is the BEST 170 I’ve ever spent in my 56 years on this bizarre planet. I recently moved into one of those long, static caravans, and the moment it started to get cold outside, the HUGE front window which comprises the front of the van would literally start to steam up, then drip with condensation, and then run with water.

Again, I may sound mad or weird, but I actually feel as if I can’t breathe if I can’t see out. Out of sheer desperation (I honestly thought dehumidifiers were something only found in industrial plants), and SICK of feeling as if I were breathing through a damp sponge, I looked on here. I saw this. The reviews were too good to ignore so I bought it.

As I said, it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. Out of sheer, horrified fascination, I just stood listening as it squeezed the water (you can actually hear it as it pours, at intervals, into the collection tank) out of the air, and watching as the humidity percentage dropped from 65 to 55. IN ONE DAY. I’m now down to 47%, I can SEE out of the window and it’s 2 deg C outside, and there’s NO condensation. None.

I also started recording the amounts collected each day, just to increase the horror factor. Remember: ALL of this water is just floating around in the air waiting to condense on something – clothes, carpets, furnishings, wallpaper. For those of you still reading, here are the results. I, quite literally, kept pouring the contents into a jug just to prove to myself that all of this water was IN THE AIR:

    Day 1: 1250ml (a very good / bad day)
    Day 2: 350ml
    Day 3: 600ml
    Day 4: 200ml
    Day 5: 650ml
    Day 6: 700ml
    Day 7: 2000ml (really)
    Day 8: 1700ml
    Day 9: 1200ml
    Day 10: 1400ml
    Day 11: 1350ml
    Day 12: 1400ml
    Day 13: 350ml

I assume, due to the sudden drop after almost two weeks, that my van is REALLY drying out. It was actually creaking away last night, probably settling into its new dryness, and it’s so old it’s probably made of cardboard and wood. Before I had this, I couldn’t shut the door between the kitchen and lounge as it was so swollen; I couldn’t even get the bugg*r into the frame. After eight days’ sucking from this bit of magic, the door was 90% closed; at thirteen days, it’s pretty much shut.

I’m NEVER going to be without one of these ever again, and now I always have it on first thing in the morning, and in the evening after I’ve finished cooking. I swear; dehumidifiers and SAT navs are, to my mind, the greatest inventions ever. With real Winter looming in Gloucestershire (it’s due to snow on Thursday), it’s my very, very best friend.

Buy one. If you’re not as ecstatic as I am, you can always just send it back! You win either way!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI can’t rave about it enough. We moved to a new house and thought the bedroom smelt musty, especially the built in wardrobes. We had condensation on the windows in the mornings, so we decided to buy this dehumidifier and I’ve never breathed in such clean air.

It’s quiet enough to stay on all night. It has a quiet fan sound, much like a fan you’d have on during the summer months at night (if you’re a night fan kinda person). The only thing that might wake you up or keep you awake is the occasional sound of the water dripping. It’s not constant but it didn’t wake me up on the first night.

I usually leave it on at night and leave one of the doors on my built in wardrobe open for the air to circulate. It will make the air in your room feel crisp and clean.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt arrived upside down, the instructions say to keep it upright.
The noise level is no problem, I can sleep with it going.
Easy to manoeuvre due to wheels and handle.
I don’t use sleep mode, I keep it on high during sleep to stop windows steaming up on the inside, the first night it did not stop windows steaming up, so I had to wipe them, maybe because I had them closed. There was a decent amount of water in the tank in the morning, despite me emptying it before bed.
There was about a cm of water in the tank when I came home after a day out. Dunno where that came from.
Perhaps it needs to run a few days to get all the humidity out, I don’t know. I set it to 40% before bed, yet in the morning it had gone up to 52%.
UPDATE I gave it 4 stars, a couple of times P1 error has shown on the display even though the tank is nowhere near full.
Lately I noticed my throat was getting more and more sore, so I had to turn it off in my bedroom while I sleep. I bought it mainly to keep the windows dry. They have been, even while it has been off. There seems no rhyme or reason what autumn/winter days my windows will get condensation on.

A bought a cheap one first, and was no good. This is much better. Have a medium size room North-facing and hence subject to condensation winter months. After 2 days, this has stabilised the moisture and use every 3 days now for a few hours keep humidity under control. Takes the chill out of the room and reduces heating costs. So a good investment. Am happy in the choice. Warmly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersI looked at this past purchase because I want a filter for it, not that it’s dropped in any performance, it’s still great, I just thought that after 2 years I should probably change the filter. This still works really well for our medium to large 2 bed Victorian flat master bedroom. It does a great job at collecting the water and collects a lot of it. For 2 years I’ve ran it on the high setting from 7:30 am till 11pm every day (minus holidays) and it still collects the same amount of water as new. It has reduced the mould problem by 95%. A tiny bit of mould stills grows in a hard to get to corner behind a fitted wardrobe but all I need to do is give that corner a wipe with mould spay once a year, where as before I got this dehumidifier there was a whole eco system growing in that dark hidden corner. The humidity meter seems accurate and it’s easy enough to empty if you can bend down ok. It’s not too heavy but may be for the elderly or those who struggle with lifting or mobility but I think the heaviness speaks to its quality. It has a good handle and wheels but they struggle a bit on carpet. I’m so glad I bought this.

This machine is on 8 hours a day in the winter and works really really well. It sits next to our wet laundry and sucks up liters of water a day. My one complaint is that it is very loud. We take care of it and clean the filters, so I don’t think it’s user error. Would buy again if quieter.

    Effective, compact, quiet, automatic.

Set humidistat, (30-80% IIRC) hook up an external bucket/container to overflow outlet (or just use built-in 2l tank) and switch to auto and forget. It just works, very well.

My lounge wall was soaking wet because the gutter had broken. I purchased this dehumidifier and I was amazed at the amount of water that it removed from my wall. It took ten days for the wall to completely dry out but it was worth it. My wall is ready now to be painted.. due to the low wattage compressor I didn’t even notice a change in my electricity bill.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy old apartment was humid to the point any fabric in the area felt wet. There was mold everywhere (refurbished apartment in very old building) and it was starting to even affect my breath. This lil boy spent the whole winter on. Didn’t turn it off not a single time and run like a beast. Had to change the tank every 8 hours or so but it was great. Has a night mode that makes it a bit quieter, but if you’re a very light sleeper might take a while getting used to. I’ve a light sleep but after a good days with it on, I got used to the noise and didn’t really bother me. The humidity was starting to affect my breath so a lil bit of noise during night time wasn’t a big deal, better than not being able to breathe right xD
The apartment was quite small, but it was good enough to coved my whole living area/ open kitchen. I scrubbed the mold off before getting the dehumidifier and it didn’t really come back (just some spots in the windows due to condensation when cooking). It’s got a vent you can pop off and clean when covered in dust. Mine took a good while to get dusty but it depends on how dusty your house gets I guess.
It barely uses up electricity. Like I said, i had it on nonstop for about 3 months and didn’t affect much my electricity bills.
Very happy with my purchase overall.

This is a very good dehumidifier that takes a full tank of water from our bedroom every day.
It has a defrost mode that automatically kicks in if the unit freezes up which is good if your room is cold.
You can connect a hose instead of the water tank if you have a way to permanently set it to drain.
It is a bit on the noisy side, we have it running 24/7 and you do get used to the noise over time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this as it’s very humid in our house, condensation plagues our windows and walls especially during the winter so running this helps to prevent that. It’s nice not having to wipe the windows down in the mornings. It’s not as quiet as I had hoped. It is disruptive to my sleep but I am a light sleeper. It does the job though and I recommend it. Only downside I can give is the tube that comes with it for expelling the collected water to an external source is just too short to make any practical use with so if that’s your plan you will need to buy a longer one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSmall and compact, heavier than it looks but moves around easily on wheels. Works well at removing water from the bedroom, which is prone to condensation and has had a water leak in the past. Quiet, but does make a low buzzing/hissing noise that might disturb light sleepers if left on overnight. We use it mostly during the day and have no problems at all with noise. Water container a little bit tricky to remove (odd shape and no handle) — this is my only disappointment and hence the 4 stars and not 5.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWe had a real problem with wet wall/mould building up in our bedroom due to the wall facing north and being the coldest part of our home. It stopped me being able to use the wardrobe as mould had actually spread on to my clothes. Bought this wee boyo after researching dehumidifiers online and am very impressed. It pulls in about a litre of moisture per day that presumably would otherwise have ended up spread over the walls. Wall is now dry to the touch. It also warms the room a bit which is nice in these chilly January winter days. The night mode is relatively quiet ( I can sleep through it easily). Have to say I’m very impressed.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIf you have any moisture on your windows in the morning or any mould growing anywhere, then get a dehumidifier. I wish I had bought this 20 years ago. This one works great and is not too noisy at night. I’m a fairly light sleeper and It’s not kept me awake. Just like having a quiet fan on.
As for performance – I live in a bungalow and we have some issues with excess moisture and dampness around the house. I placed it in the hallway last night with all the doors open. The moisture level was at 61 when we went to bed and at 46 this morning, with the water tank full!
We can tell the difference in the air. It smells fresh and clean and we have no condensation anywhere.
A low moisture level also gets rid of allergies and dust mites, so if you or anyone suffers from asthma etc then get one of these. Added bonus – placed it next to a load of washing on an airer and it dried within 5 hours, including jeans! Think of all that moisture that didn’t go into the air! Also, drier air is cheaper to heat, so you’re heating will be more efficient.
In summary, a dehumidifier is an absolute must-have and this one works great.

However, the dehumidifier very often shows an error message (P1). This is not explained in the manual. The dehumidifier increases the fan speed for a while and you cannot adjust anything. This is strange: the temperature in my flat is not extreme (c. 17-18C). Humidity is not crazy so I don’t understand why this would happen and why this is jot explained anywhere.

If I leave it over night( it’s not too noisy, acts like a white noise for my baby) , the next morning there’s no condensation on the windows, they are completely dry. So the humidity level in the bedroom is much lower now, you can set up the humidity percentage on the display and it stops when reaches that level.
I would recommend this dehumidifier for bedrooms to use it against condensation, humidity, mould etc.

This is amazing, removes soo much moisture from the air. After 4 hours, a shower, a bath and 2 load of washing hanging out it was full up!

Left on the landing at night and hasn’t kept us awake with bedroom doors shut. Took the dampness right out of our toilet and bathroom wall, whilst it has been so cold. It’s done a great job.

Love everything about this product. Easy to move, minimum noise and does a great job. I live in a 3 bed house and leave this in the doorway of one of rooms and in morning no condensation on any windows in house. Great next to a clothes horse for drying out clothes too. Would definitely recommend.
The timer feature is great too as can set for few hours in morning when your asleep then simply knock off when wake up, no condensation. Very happy with product.

Bought this dehumidifier to save me using my tumble dryer. Upon reading the reviews on its efficiency and cheap running costs – I opted for this model based on the positive reviews of other purchasers. When switching on the dehumidifier automatically gauges the humidity level and starts straight away. In less than 24 hrs a full load of washing including jeans and towels are dry. You can add the hose attachment for continuous drainage but I prefer to collect the water as it is de- ionised and I can use in my steam iron which only uses de- ionised water. So another saving. The dehumidifier cuts off immediately when the water level is full. If anything I find the room warmer where it is operating. The machine is heavy but I am able to lift it and carry it to other rooms. In respect of the operating noise – I find it quiet. However I have not tried sleeping in the same room as it when on. I have a fish tank with tropical fish and that is noisier. I have recommended this product to others and found it reasonably priced. And good value.

Love this, I empty almost a pint of water every time I dry laundry or when I place it in the bathroom after a bath/shower. It’s crazy to see how much moisture is being taken out of the air, I’ve got a 2 bed terraced house and for me it doesn’t clear the windows upstairs but it’s easy to carry from room to room.

We only bought this because our moisture meters were reading wet. Were so glad we did and 5 weeks on it has removed an average of 2 litres of water every day amazing running it from 7.00am-21.00.pm . The cost has been negligible and all meters are reading mid range comfort zone now .Will start using less very soon as machine now running on 45% moisture setting . Highly recommend this unit. Our heating is on 18.5 degrees all day and 18 at night as the house does no longer feel cold . We leave it in the hallway with all rooms open so the warm dry air circulates and forces moist air out into the dehumidifier.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI didn’t think it would work as well as it does, very impressed. We have a very old and cold house, washing takes an age to dry but with the dehumidifier on the time is shortened by days to get things dry. Good news is we can move it about to different rooms and no more damp smell or the smell from clothes drying. Wish we had got one sooner. Very impressed as I said and would recommend getting a dehumidifier to anyone if you can afford it. This one is great.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt shifts lots of moisture.
You would not believe how damp the air is around you.
I have used it in conjunction with my portable space heater, to dry laundry in my utility room.
It is rather loud, so be aware of this if you’re using it in your bedroom.
    Even in sleep mode.
    But it certainly works.
Is quite potable, with its handles and castors.
If you are using it in a cold room, it will quite often go into defrost mode.
It will show a P1 on the display.
This is perfectly normal, and it will continue to do its job after defrosting.
A good buy if I am honest.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI bought this to keep moisture levels down in my house especially when drying laundry in inclement weather. Its easy to use and lightweight, which means that my hands are not pained by moving it. Its had a fair amount of use since i bought it. Most recently, I have been using it daily to dry towels and bedding for an animal rescue that I volunteer with and it is holding up well. The unit is a perfect size for my small bungalow, I can easily tuck it against a central wall and the unit feeds bed, bath, lounge & kitchen so it would be perfect for a single room or particular area. Im glad i bought it. Its certainly earnt its keep!

Great machine, made a huge difference to the walls within 24 hours. Were so impressed, we ordered a second one within 48 hours to run upstairs. Quiet enough to leave running through the night, compact overall yet a large enough tank that collects almost 2 litres of water. Easy to manouvre and tank is simple to empty, takes only a couple of seconds.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersI’m a complete novice to dehumidifiers, but having a problem with condensation on windows and damp patches on walls of a bedroom in my flat, I decided I needed to buy one. The ProBreeze is quite stylish to look at and compact – it doesn’t occupy much floor space in any room where you deploy it. The setup instructions were mostly clear and easy to understand, although I initially thought the unit had arrived with no detachable filter, due to the diagram in the instruction booklet appearing to show it behind the fluid collection tank, when in fact, it was behind the cabinet front grille. That niggle aside, I’m quite satisfied with the operation of the dehumidifier. It is relatively quiet while it’s running, although I am a light sleeper, so I’m not sure I would do as other buyers appear to have done, and operate it during the night while I am in bed. I don’t think I would be able to ignore the sound of the compressor while trying to get to sleep, however quiet it actually is. The unit sits on four small castors for moving it around, which work best on hard flooring. Moving it around on carpet is a little less easy, especially if the carpet has thick pile. I found I had to pick it up and carry it by the fold-away handle, and it does weigh a fair bit. Thankfully my flat is all on one level. I’m not sure I’d be quite as happy to have to lug it up and down stairs because of the weight. I have tried it in every room in the flat, and I find it works quickest and best in smaller spaces like the kitchen and the hallway. The bedroom where the worst condensation and damp occurs is a different story, however. It is also the largest room in the flat. I found I have to run the unit all day (12+ hours) in order to bring the humidity down to anywhere near the default setting of 50%. I’m not sure whether the unit is too small for that size of room, or whether it is just that the dampness in there is more than the unit can reasonably cope with, but I’ve never managed to get fully down to 50% humidity even after a 12 hour stint, whereas the other rooms dried to that level within a couple of hours or less. Emptying the fluid collection tank is quite easy, although it doesn’t have a lid or a pouring spout so you need to be careful that it doesn’t spill and cause a mess. It also doesn’t appear to have a major effect on electricity consumption. I’ve looked at my smart meter while it has been running, and the indicator stays in the green zone. Overall, I am happy with this purchase, and I would recommend it to other buyers. It even arrived a day earlier than predicted. Well done the seller!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAmazing economy for drying laundry! There’s only been one other appliance purchase that we’ve bought before which has made a huge difference to our lives, and that was our airfryer – so when someone suggested we buy a dehumidifer as a cheaper alternative to an expensive tumble dryer, it came as a bit of a leftfield suggestion.

With the British climate being the way it is in Autumn/Winter, we deliberated over buying a tumble dryer for ages as it’s not economical to have the heating on all the time.
A friend recommended this as an option, and it seemed like a gamble, but we’ve not regretted it in the slightest.
It’s setup in my home office behind me (where we happen to hang our laundry), so it’s quiet and inoffensive, and we’ve pretty much cut our drying times by 3/4. Towels dry within 2-3 days, clothes dry within 1-2 days – and we don’t need the heating on (although it helps with an hour’s worth to give it a quick blast and speed the process up).

I’ve been looking at my energy consumption, and it barely registers.

I have asthma and sleeping in a damp room aggregates symptoms. Using a dehumidifier removes excess moisture. In the mornings my windows are dry and the room doesn’t feel as cold. I don’t use the sleep mode, but it is a quiet machine so I probably could use it without being kept awake.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe put this up on a worktop in our utility room to help with clothes dryingit didn’t seem to work at all, so put it down on the floor and the difference was remarkable. Towel wash had been taking 42 hours to dry with a 10 min finish in the tumble dryer (rains a lot where I live, this indoor drying). With this remarkable little machine towels were completely dry within 15 hrs.

My 15-year-old dehumidifier was still working but much higher energy consumption than more modern alternatives so it made sense to upgrade. This cost a lot less than most of the others and was higher rated than more expensive models.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs others have said, when the condenser is operating this unit gives off a slightly annoying wine. Nothing earsplitting but noticeable. I have attached it to a programmable timer so it comes on at periods throughout the day/night when we are not in the vicinity.
The most important aspect of a dehumidifier is its ability to remove water vapor from the air and I can assuredly say that this unit works like a dream – I have to empty it every day. The reduction in condensation is very noticeable and I would recommend this unit to anybody with condensation or damp issues.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersEarly days as only been using just over a week but good so far. Bought mainly to help in drying laundry & it is doing what I’d hoped, can leave damp laundry in cool utility with the dehumidifier going & pretty well dry in a few hours. Appears (checking smart meter) to be using very little electricity even on high, I am normally a tumble dryer user in the winter but for obvious reasons not really a viable option this year. Easy to move around, not overly heavy & a small footprint. Good to have a water gauge which although a bit tricky to see (I use a torch) saves you letting the tank fill right up before emptying, unless of course you are using the drain hose. It is quiet in operation too. So far so good, seems a good buy.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersPurchased this almost 4 years ago and it’s still going strong. It’s been running almost every single day.

I live in a small apartment with poor ventilation and was frequently combating the starts of black mold in my bathroom and kitchen areas. In winter I would have to wipe my windows dry at least twice a day, more if I was attempting to dry laundry (which smelt awful cause it wouldn’t dry due to the humidity).

I purchased this and instantly noticed the difference. Some days I empty the reservoir twice a day, but I no longer have wet windows and no more mold forming. When on laundry mode and locked in the bathroom with my drying clothes, my clothes and bathroom both end up smelling nice and fresh, as you’d expect from freshly washed clothing.

It has easily been the best 130 spent, as it has changed the quality of life in my flat so much.

It can be a bit noisy at night when the house quiets down, but I’ve grown used to the sound it makes (I tend to sleep with white noise on anyway)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOverall this is a good dehumidifier in terms of lowering the humidity, but there are a couple of problems with it.
The first is that it can be noisy at times, sounding like a dishwasher in use, and not something you would want to have in the room with you when watching TV or trying to sleep. The noise level varies unpredictably, so at times it’s OK.
The second issue is the claim of removing 12 litres of water a day. This figure will only be achieved in conditions of temperature and humidity beyond what you would get in a home (this is revealed in the handbook). I have mine in the kitchen and it will typically remove 2 litres a day (which is about equivalent to having to empty the full tank of water once a day). I found it can’t really get the room below 50% humidity, although you can set it as low as 30% as a target. It’s very heavy, even when empty, although having both a handle and wheels means it is not too bad to reposition.

Pros: Works well, easy to operate, low noise level, wheels a bonus, good button options, high/low fan, set the moisture level, modes for sleep etc. Storage mode protects it while not in use. Hose outlet about 8 inches off the floor.
Cons: hose was only 1 foot length. Emits a high-pitched sound in close proximity. Need to set the humidity level low (every time), otherwise it operates as a fan only.

This does it job well but it is not ‘whisper quiet’. No matter what speed you use(2-Hi-Low),there is a very high pitch noise that comes on about 20 seconds into operation. We thought we would use it in the bedroom,no.So it is used in the back kitchen or wherever needed with a door closed. It does take the water out very well,so we are pleased on that fact.

  93. CredibleMarkets says:

Great dehumidifier especially for larger rooms. The noise level is ok the more irritating feature is the bright blue light in stand by. If buying for a bedroom you’ll either want to switch off at the plug each night or tape over that thing unless you like that blue dazzle.

Haven’t used the hose function for it as it does the job well enough with just the collector.

Sensor seems to work well and the overall product is decently made imho.
