The Bosch PTS 700E Jigsaw
This is another nice product from Bosch and presented in the familiar Green Plastic Carrying Case.
So much better than my old one purchased in the 1970’s. The Bosch is easier to use with low vibration and pleasant handling which is a familiar thing with Bosch tools. Quick change of blade is a useful factor and a Corded Machine for instant use. I am confident that this will suit my current and future DIY projects.
I own several other Bosch tools so I might be counted as a Fan of the Brand.

Got it for my mum as she loves her DIY, she was happy, but I think she would have been happier if there was an additional space blade attachment.

I bought this to replace my old jigsaw.
I don’t do much diy, but I do need a jigsaw from time to time and this fits the bill. It’s easy to set up and use although I did buy the splinter guard and guide accessories in addition. I also bought some additional blades.
The speed control is very good allowing a slow start, increasing speed as you get comfortable with the job.
I’m satisfied that this item will do what I need it to. The case is durable and handy for keeping the saw, the extra blades and a couple of other small bits and pieces.
If I was using the saw regularly I’d probably have chosen a cordless version, but the corded one is fine for my purposes.
Might not last as long as you think it should....
This is the 2nd jigsaw I’ve bought, it was exactly the model I bought in September 2019 (so, sadly, out of warranty). On the old machine, the mechanism that keeps the blade in place has broken so it isn’t possible to use the machine any more. TBH, it’s had quite a bit of use over the time I’ve had it, so I’m happy to replace it with a new one, especially when the broken part was going to cost 30 and the new saw was “only” 30 more…..That all explains the headline!
I have a couple of Bosch tools that share the same battery (I have two of those as well) and like the machine. It cuts well, has a light on it, has a good guide on the baseplate. It does what I need which is pretty basic DIY. Battery life is OK, but I’m not sure I’d want to rely on it to last a whole day in constant use.
It’s a shame it doesn’t come in a nice plastic case though. I’ll see if it lasts beyond the warranty period again….
Sailed through a worktop.
Had the Bosch cordless drill with 2 batteries so after the plumber let me down when I needed a sink moving decided to go for this to replace corded one I seem to have mislaid while moving house. Delighted with it, sailed through the worktop better than I expected being cordless. Loving having a cordless one now, so much easier. I’m just a hobby diyer because I have to but this will help me do more myself and work out cheaper in the long run. Plan on making some window shutters next.
Looks a usefull tool
I actually got this in July 2022 when it was “on special”. A week ago I had a small woodworking job I thought this tool would be ideal for. Unpacked it, all looked great until I looked for the blade, there wasn’t one! So I guess that was the “reduction”, no blades!!! Anyway, used the handsaw & put a memo on the phone to get some blades.
Cordless jigsaw
This unit does the job-but note it doesn’t come with a case which you have to buy separately.
I had a lot of sawing to do to make lots of shelves. This did the job super quick and straighter than I could do.
Nothing changed from last order, 💯 2 all at Amazon.
All perfect what else can I say. Can’t wait till Amazon mess up an order, lol. So far no faults and 2 be honest I’m not expecting any. Place an order, check ur order , then watch it travel to ur door, item dispatched, item collected, item out for delivery, and item delivery time and date, just listen for the door bell. DONE.
User's Guide
Generally quite good. Does the job.
To improve:
1. User’s guide; for some additional bits I found in the box I have no clue how to use. Neither the
included booklet nor an online manual helped.
2. The red blade storage doesn’t stay in place while operating the tool; would be good if it did.
Brilliant, but where's the blade?
A great saw, put straight to use after opening the case. Fortunately, I had also bought some Bosch blades, because my unit did to come with a blade ass advertised. Hence four stars. Still, very easy to use, a great little machine.

Good value for money
The PST 700 E is a handy bit of kit for the occasional piece of DIY, its certainly not a heavy duty saw but perfect for making a few shelves or other odd jobs around the house. it feels sturdy, comfortable to hold and easy to control. The blade cuts well if not particularly fast but still feels powerful.
Its good value for money and I would recommend it, really its only fault is that it only comes with one blade.

Cuts stuff easily
I really get on well with Bosch power tools and this is no exception – as you’d expect it makes cutting wood etc effortless – it’s low vibration and it’s really accurate. I particularly like the little perspec cutting guide flap that points out the front.
My only 2 little moans about it are there’s no form of deadman’s switch – as soon as you press the trigger it starts (as you’d expect I guess) – but it’s very hard to pick it up without accidentally pressing the trigger this is a bit dangerous – I’d prefer something like you have on lawn mowers where you have to press a button and then the trigger
Secondly the box it comes in is a lot more flimsy than the Bosch drill box – and arrived with one corner smashed. It’s not worth sending back over but it’s a bit annoying since I specifically want it in a box (oddly some of Bosch’s product don’t have a nice plastic box).

Ease of Use
I bought this jigsaw to cut both straight and curved lines. I am really pleased with the handling ability, especially when cutting around a curve at a 45 deg angle. This proved to be much easier than I was expecting and the result was as good as I was hoping for.

Jigsaws are versatile. And this one is really good. 1.5 years on still going strong. I also got Bosch blades for metal cutting. Which work great in wood also for fine shaping etc They last forever too! And all at affordable price

A massive Improveme
This is the 3rd jigsaw I have owned and this is far superior to the previous jigsaws. It cuts very well, easy to control, does not wander and hardly any vibrration felt. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been using a ratty old jigsaw I got a while back for ages and really thought that they all wander off line and go their own way, I bought this as I have some straight lines to cut and it has literallyy transformed my experience, straight lines are no longer such a challenge, it doesn’t bend off and give me a bevelled cut I never asked for.
Very pleased so far, I’ll always say if I don’t like something so here’s one I like and am really pleased I bought.
A note, I still veered off a little in the cut but only when I got over confident and sped up too much.

Happy with my purchase
I got it to install a sink in a wooden worktop. It worked with no problem and had sufficient power to do so easily. Comes with one universal blade
Cuts accurately and well, blades need frequent changing
This is a very good electric jigsaw. It does a good job cutting through wood and chipboard accurately and relatively fast. It is loud and messy, do I recommend using it outdoors as there’s a lot of dust produced. I also recommend using safety glasses and a mask.
This has made DIY projects easier and more appealing. I can now actually do small carpeting jobs around the house, saving quite a bit of money.
This jigsaw is powerful and it cuts through up to 70mm wood depth. It comes with Bosch quality and it seems very well made with no issues so far.
I must say, it requires some strength to operate this and it does tire you out after about 20 mins of use. The blades will need frequent changing. I cut about 5 boards and the blade was quite worn out. You can buy a whole set of blades on amazon for an affordable price. It comes with a long cable.
Overall this is affordable and makes DIY projects easy, so I recommend it.

Night the Bosch extra blades as well. Got the mains version just find it more convenient rather than waiting for batteries to charge etc. Good price.

Works wonders
Cuts through wood planks in a breeze. Comes with a single wood saw blade, so you don’t actually need to buy extra blades as I did unless you need to work on metal.

Didn’t expect it would work so well for a bit more than 40! Especially I was surprised how well and fast it cut aluminium with a proper saw. Highly recommending!
