Overall I am very happy with this product. Only a couple of criticisms. I found when handling, the trigger could easily be set in motion, so had to be careful when picking it up. Also, when doing curves, the guidelines on the on surface to be cut could not be seen so estimates on where the cutting blade was had to be made. I am only an amateur at this, so will probably get more used to it as time goes on.

Its been really good experience last two weeks, we used for cut tick laminate floor and its fast and really precis in the cuts, we are so happy and we been using a lot this last two week so we totally recommend if you need small practical jigsaw in home, we also try in pieces of wood and make the job properly

I’d had my old Bosch jigsaw for more years than l care to remember and overall had no problems with it, so l was disappointed when it did finally give up the ghost about a month ago. I ordered a similar model from Amazon, my favourite supplier, and it was delivered spot on next day. I have used the new jigsaw many times since then and am amazed at how much more accurate it is, along with the extra power of course. Love my old one as l did, l’m beginning to wish l had upgraded to this model earlier.

Very easy to use for DIY
I am a DIY user with no prior experience in carpentry. Very easy to use device. No vibrations to handle at all. Was bit nervous initially for using tool but after few usage have gained lots of confidence in it.
First delivered device developed some issues in few days, blade got stuck – maybe gears got jammed. Thanks to Amazon they replaced the device within a day. Awesome service

Quality item
After several years of use and non-use of a heavy, worn out budget saw that sounded like a jet engine, this Bosch jigsaw is a delight to use. The saw change is simple and quick, with no tools required, and there are several useful additions to aid cutting. There is an optional dust blower at the cut site to clear debris while in operation; a pendulum/orbital switch for fine and speed cutting; a useful cutting guide can be pressed onto the base plate, and there is also a useful tool holder that slides into the base. Overall, highly recommended.
Bosch gets the job done as usual
This jigsaw seems to have everything: can cut at any angle, has a feed to attach a vacuum dust collector, a nice case to keep it in. Whilst using it, it seems to have plenty of power. It has a neat little blade carrier that stores blades in the foot plate of the device. Seems mean though that the carrier holds two blades but they only supply one blade. I didn’t want to use the machine until I had bought more blades because Sod’s Law says that if you only have one blade, and you’re inexperienced, then the first time you use it you will break the blade and not have a spare.
Great for beginners!
I am a rank amateur but needed to cut the cat flap bigger in the back door so decided to have a go. This tool is very easy to use and I am very pleased I managed to cut the hole reasonably well! Very pleased with the jigsaw and I’ll have a go at a few other jobs 🙂

Cuts floorboards and doors cleanly
I got this and a set of blades to help fit a wooden floor in the hallway. With the right blade and anti-splinter accessory it was so good I didn’t need to file edges, just glue the boards and scotia straight away! My husband said I was smiling as I cut neat, straight lines in seconds.
I managed to cut sections and angles into boards to fit our wonky walls and round steps and door frames. Similar principles to a sewing machine and small scale piercing work in metal to get corners and bends.

Very good but not the bes
Works well, only issue I have come across, occasionally the blade locking mechanism jams. It gets lot of use, but now and then it locks so I strip it down to clean, then it’s OK.

My first ever electric saw and I am so glad I went for this one. After debating on what kind of saw I need to buy to work well for me.
I am a female and no DIY experience so just starting to do some small wood cutting.
With this saw. The wood almost cuts by itself, no stress and the vibration is very low.
Just draw the line on the wood and the guide helps follow a straight line.
Cannot be more satisfied.

Comfortable in the hand. Easy to use and change blades
I’ve only used the Bosch 06033A0170 PST 800 PEL Jigsaw for sawing 12mm MDF board, but unlike my old jigsaw it is easy to cut in a straight line and at a 90 degree angle to the top of the board. The guide that fits on the front of the saw makes it easy to follow a line, until you get to the end, that is, when the guide goes off the end of the board and the line becomes difficult to see (the last 1-2cm). It’s really just just a question of getting used to the process and making sure that your body is in the right place I’m sure, but I took a point off the ease of use as I wandered a little once at the end of a cut.
Another reviewer stated that no blades were included. There was a single blade included, though I am glad that I ordered “Bosch 2608633779 Clean Wood Jigsaw Blade, 1 Lug, Silver, Pack of 3” at the same time as I think that the bigger teeth on the blade that came with the saw would have given a rougher cut on the mdf board I used.
In the description of the saw it says that a lithium ion battery is required but not included. It’s not stated in the saws details what type of lithium battery would be needed and I could not find any mention of the battery in the instructions or see where a battery could be fitted, so I think that the details on the screen must be wrong and consequently only scored the accuracy a 4.
All in all I’m pretty pleased with the saw.
Love Love Love
My old Bosch was on its’ last legs and desperately in need of a new one, so thought I’d go with the more powerful version. Excellent choice and absolutely love this jigsaw. Handle is great for my small arthritic hands, although I do struggle at times to insert the blade as I have limited strength in the fingers to push back the release catch. Accurate enough for all the DIY jobs I undertake and the low vibration is indeed very low, an asset if you suffer with white finger, oestoarthritis or other medical issues of the hands and wrists.

Although I bought this for a chest of drawers repair, I have found so many uses for this product, it does make me wonder how I coped before, this is the best bit of money I have spent in such a long time.

Difficult to praise this inexpensive tool enough (57) – I previously had a cheaper one (35) purchased to cut out an freehand opening for a bathroom sink. While It did the job well – frustratingly I couldn’t cut a straight line with it at all for when used on other projects – The blade would twist and wander off line.
The product arrived promptly
I tested this Bosch PST 800 PEL Jigsaw by
1) Cutting a 50mm strip from a 20 x 200mm (two metre) length of plank using a an other straight bit of wood as a guide. using the same blade I had on my Jigsaw.
The result was excellent – The cut was clean, straight(within 1mm of line) and at 90 degrees all the way along.
2) Cutting another 50mm strip freehand – again it was easy to follow the line and the results were accurate.
I am really pleased and can recommend this tool without hesitation.

Replacing the old one
I have never had a problem with any of my Bosch tools & this one has replaced my old one after 15 years of use & now beginning to show signs of wear after being used most weeks in my business. I am sure the newbie will prove to be as outstanding.

Don’t waste money on those 20 rubbish saws, you will regret it. For the longest time, I thought I was using jigsaws wrong. The blades and cuts were never straight and cutting was difficult. Using this was a revelation. Even a budget Bosch is better than no name bargain tools.

Powerful for all round works
It’s very powerful cutter for most of the works and good thing is you can choose how fast or slow you want to use.
I was confused for choosing Bosch’s right model for me as i rarely need this.
But happy that i have chosen this cheap model .

Good value for money
Very easy to use and definitely a budget tool. Good value for money but one negative point – blade tends to bend sometimes, leaving you with inaccurate cuts. Otherwise great tool to have around
Confused
Almost everything is perfect, until I went to put it together. When I opened the saw blade holder I was confused. It looked like it was supposed to have 2 blades in it, but it only had 1. So I looked through the paperwork, and that showed 2. So I feel slightly cheated.

Excellent replaceme
Already had one which after many years have up, but couldn’t be bothered getting it repaired, had the opportunity to buy one at a bargain price, excellent replacement !

Used it to cut laminate flooring with matching bosch 101BR blades it made the task quick and simple.

Bought this after struggling with an electrical reciprocating saw to chop up old decking.
This went through it in record time. Was able to cut down an entire yard of decking planks into 2 foot lengths in under an hour of cutting.
The blade fitting/replacement system instructions could be clearer though, as it takes significant effort to release a blade. I understand it needs to be secure, but the single illustration for removal suggests a much greater degree of movement of the blade holder than actually occurs, so you place more effort than required on the blade, increasing chance of cutting your fingers.

It is a bit fiddly to do most things, like blade changes taking the plastic shield off, the plastic guide on the front and the blade holder underneath just too many bits and bobs

I’m only an occasional diyer and wasn’t prepared to spend loads of cash on something that will often sit on a shelf. Used this to shape some plywood for my day-van. Can’t complain at all. It cuts very well and even blows the sawdust away for a clearer view of the cut line. I did think about spending the extra and getting the more powerful version but glad I didn’t. No complaints so far. Comes in a sturdy plastic case and you can leave the blade attached for storage. I love the size of it, really small and light. Great buy.

Simple and effective
Great little jigsaw. Needed it to cut some flooring and did it with ease. Simple to set up and great quality which you would expect from Bosch. Needs a bit of practice to great smooth curves but that’s the same as anything new. Def recommend. It’s a bargain for the price.

About time too
I love this jigsaw, it’s my first one, it’s uncomplicated, the first cut wasn’t great but that’s down to me not the tool, once I got the hang of it it was like slicing through butter. It does have some weight behind it but so be careful if doing big jobs, the only thing that never allowed me to give it 5 stars was the fact that there’s not led light but it’s not a huge deal as long as you’re in a well light space or have bright light. The blade is easy to fit, I would definitely recommend this. I will update as I use this should there be any change.

Good Value for Money
Bought this with amazon voucher my son gave me for Christmas As i needed to cut some 12 millimeter ply into a curved shape into a couple of bearers. Pleasantly surprised with its performance and how quiet it is. I used the supplied blade for the cut although i had bought a pack of others. I took my time and the finished article was of a good standard. The blade followed the lines i had marked out as long as i didnt try to rush it.
I would recomend this saw to anyone doing DIY projects like me .
