Great product. Very comfortable for side sleeping. But it looks medical. Not like a comfortable pillow but a hospital product. The cover is very thin but soft. I am not sure it is worth this much money.
I had better sleep and less pain in my neck. Use both inserts.
My 96 year old Mom has been using prescription Celebrex, and tumeric anti-inflamitory product, Voltarin cream, Tylenol, and most recently acupuncture. Nothing has helped each morning starting with neck and shoulder pain. One night of sleeping with this new pillow “soft” version, she woke withoug pain!! This was recommended by the acupuncturist.
I was skeptical about this pillow but I gave it a try. I’m amazed at the comfort this pillow provides due to the decreased number of pressure points. The middle of your head is literally floating but yet it provides plenty of support. Kudos to the person who thought outside the box on this design!
Getting old, my ear hurt me because I’m a side sleeper. Ears get bigger when you get old. I thought why don’t they make a pillow for a side sleeper with a ear cutout. Well they do and I am so happy sleeping at night and ear doesn’t bother me now.
I sleep only on my left side so my previous pillows caused ear pain. Not only does this pillow solve that problem, it is also very supportive. It took a few days to get used to it but now I sleep through the night and I have noticed less pain in my neck and shoulders as well.
I have tried various other pillows with indentation for ears and the holes where either too far apart or the pillow was too hard. This pillow has the ability to adjust height and was really comfortable. I wear ear plugs due to spouse snoring so was so happy to find something that didn’t squash my ears when I sleep.
However, after a month of using this pillow, the pillow developed a crack. I contacted the seller and really hope for the exchange. The pillow is expensive, and you don’t expect it to be damaged so easily.
I contacted the seller the same day and received the response in 10 minutes. I returned the pillow, didn’t have to pay anything and they refunded me the full price +taxes. Absolutely excellent service.

So usually I get in bed and wrestle for 20 minutes to get my pillow in just the right position. I have a side sleeper pillow or so it claims, but I still have to smoosh it around so that it doesn’t press on my ears or cut off air flow to my nostrils.
This pillow is shaped just right so it doesn’t bunch up and hinder breathing. It’s adjustable width means that I can use the additions for my broad shoulders without my head being strained upward or flopped over pulling aty neck muscles. The material is sturdy, not squishy soft but not rock hard like my ex-side-sleeper pillow was. Whoever made this is a genius and now that I can sleep through the night without waking up to alligator wrestle my pillow for 20 minutes I’m going to be such a genius I’ll think of a way to reward him/ her for his/ her talents.
I love the fact that it has ear holes on both sides, so you can just turn over as normal without having to move the pillow over. The ear holes are large enough to actually work, could even be a bit larger. I ordered the soft & am glad I did. Still plenty firm enough for me. (Female). My only suggestion would be to make the cover out of a better quality fabric. I haven’t washed it yet, but it doesn’t seem very substantial for many washings. It mite fool me though.
I had been struggling for a long time to find a pillow that was comfortable for me. I bought cheap pillows and expensive pillows and nothing was comfortable. This is by far my favorite pillow I purchased. My ear had been sore for a while because I can only sleep on my left side, but this pillow solved that problem. I can also go to sleep with earplugs in both my ears comfortably if my neighbors are noisy, and I can also go to sleep with my AirPods in my ears as well comfortably
I have a pillow with a single hole in the center for ear relief. It was the only one I could find at the time. What this pillow does for me better is the adjustable layers you can add or remove to obtain the correct height. My old pillow was to flat for me so I had another thin pillow under it. So far it seems to be a much better alternative.
Time will tell how it stands up. Not sure its necessary to have 2 holes for your ears but I guess it gives a “fresh” spot when you roll over in bed.
I was born with microtia and have had a Cochlear implant on that side for almost three years now. I kept dealing with recurring infections at the site of the implant due to pressure and friction because I sleep on my sides. Not only did this pillow eliminate my problem but it’s soooooo beyond comfortable in every way. Even without the holes it would be a great pillow for anybody, but this pillow works amazing if you have Cochlear implant. It’s the best pillow I’ve ever had. I love it’s shape. I bought the soft option and it’s not too soft, it’s perfect.
The only con is I wish I could find extra pillow cases to purchase for it. It only comes with one. I’ve used it with a regular pillow case and it works okay but I definitely like the one that came with it the best.
I really like this pillow. I have some medical issues that effect my neck and shoulders to the point my arms and hands go numb or have chronic pain. It’s crippling often. I can’t sleep on my back because my belly causes circulation issues in my legs. So I’m stuck side sleeping. This pillow is wonderful for it. I even wire an apple ear bud and laid on that side zero pain in my ear. It was great when I repierced my ear and I have noticed my hands and arms hurt much less. I keep the extra inserts in a pillowcase in my closet. Most days I use them all, a few days I use only 1. It’s a dream to use with my adjustable bed. It doesn’t slip everywhere. I especially like that if I flip to my back in my sleep the pillow isn’t so stiff that it injures my neck. It doesn’t hurt at all. I didn’t know I could sleep on my side and not have my ear hurt. My ears feel fantastic when I wake up. This has given me 8 hrs of solid sleep instead of the 4-6 I was getting. Less pain =’s more restful sleep.
I didn’t expect to like this pillow because of it’s odd shape, but of the three I ordered this is the best pillow with ear cutouts. It’s soft yet firm enough and has inserts to adjust the height that’s comfortable for you. I love having a pillow with ear cutouts because by the time morning rolls around these days, my ears are killing me–not anymore with this pillow. It’s a little awkward waking up a bit to get your ears in the holes but it’s right back to sleep with no more ear pain!
I bought this pillow back in 2019 and it’s still holding up great! It helped with both my chronic neck pain and ear pain from sleeping on my side. And I love that the cover comes off so you can wash it. I still always use it with an additional pillowcase though. The only thing I don’t like is that the side edges are a bit too high; it feels a little awkward when trying to sleep with your ears aligned in the holes. Otherwise it’s great and I’ve never had a pillow last me this long before!
I really like this pillow. I was worried it would be too soft but although it feels soft to touch, it’s a lovely mixture of soft yet firmly supportive. The ear holes are fabulous and the pillow case is excellent.
I LOVE… and i mean LOVE this pillow. My ears protrude quite a bit which makes sleeping on my side (my preferred way) VERY painful… however, this alleviates the pain by allowing my ear to go into the pillow instead of bent or pushing against the pillow. I would suggest two things 1) They create the pillow with much higher options (i’m broad shoulders so i need to add a pillow under it and 2) two have the whole go through all the way creating more room for the ear so it doesn’t end up pressing on the other side. Though, i’m still giving it 5 stars b/c it is very well made and lasts a long time. Just purchased my 2nd one after a year. A+++ Just buy it, seriously.
If you sing my title to the tune of LeAnn Rimes then you’ll know I’m a happy customer. But seriously, I’m not sure how I lived without a pillow that had ear holes in it. It should be the standard way a pillow is made. This one took my neck a couple of nights to adjust, but after that it has been wonderful. I can finally wake up without any ear pain. Thank you.
This is the best pillow I have ever owned. After searching for years, and hesitating because of the price, I finally bought this pillow. When I opened the box, I instantly thought, “this isn’t high enough for me”. I was a little disappointed. Once I laid in the bed to sleep, I was shocked at how perfect the pillow supports my neck and head!! It also does not interfere with my CPAP mask at all! The ear holes make it super comfortable!! If you have had shoulder or neck pain from sleeping on your side, try this pillow! Hands down it is the best purchase I have ever made for my sleep!
My husband is a side sleeper and always complained of his ears aching day after day. That stopped after we bought this. I only wish there was a way to purchase a second pillow case for this as the case is white so gets stained very easily. It would be nice to be able to swap out cases while the other washed. Also after having it almost two years the case is worn and not so great looking. The pillow is holding up well though! You can get the pillow cheaper on the company site, but not sure if they charge for shipping or not.
I’ve used these pillows for years and enjoyed them very much. They works as advertised. The pillow foam eventually cracks appart at the bottom of the ear holes, but that doesn’t seem to effect the pillow comfort that much. Over the months, if the pillow looses its shape too much from the crack, I hot melt glue a ribbon of fabric across the bottom of the underside of the memory foam. I recently had to start using a cpap mask, and I did need to cut out parts of the top of the pillow foam to accomodate the mask, but it was easy to do. I have found it more comfortable to eliminate the internal pillow case that comes with the pillow and just use the outer case, but my ears are very sensitive to pressure so you might not need to do this.
I’m pleasantly surprised that this pillow exceeded my expectations; I was skeptical. It arrived quickly and was as described in company’s write-up. It’s more comfortable than I hoped it would be and didn’t take me long to get used to using it instead of my traditional pillow. I found that for my personal comfort, I only had to use one of the extra inserts it comes with, then it was the perfect height for me. I experience no neck pain or ear pain on my sore ear. It also saves the other ear by having the two holes. Finally, I can sleep on both sides! It is fairly soft, which I was looking for and you can still punch it away from your face, if need be. I found the cover to be slightly scratchy at first, much like all pillow cases nowadays made of micro fiber, but not as bad. No problem, I got used to it. Will have to purchase an additional case for a change-out. This is a very nice pillow which is rather soft, does not sleep “hot,” and provides great protection for sore ear. You can’t go wrong if you want a softer foam pillow to protect a sore ear.I
I have been using an expensive down pillow for at least 15 years with no issues until my body has been changing as now 71 and find my ears are getting too sensitive and hurt even if my pillow is fully fluffed up. Also because I live by a public park where sometimes drunken folks like to come and party all night (even tho the park is closed and cops don’t care) I cannot sleep!!! so these holes allow for my earbuds to fit comfortably to mitagate the freaking party noise! The only thing I cannot figure out is why this company does not offer individual different colors bamboo pillow covers????
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! This is my 3 try with an ear pillow. I suffer from right upper ear inflammation for almost a year. Been under derm care – had steroid injection, didn’t work. On a cream for inflammation. Anyways, as soon as I received this pillow I went to bed right away (insomnia). It came with 2 addition pieces so that you can adjust the height. I used it all and I still use a soft pillow under it. I have to say that the pillow cover is extremely soft and it’s designed to sit into the ear holes. Does not hurt my ear at all!’ And the pillow is not very firm, although I wish it were, but I still manage to sleep very well during the night. No need to keep readjusting my ear into the hole when it would touch in inner seams. I have been sleeping like a baby. And I hope this will finally allow my ear to heal. My only concern is if the material of the pillow will eventually flatten. I hope not. But I will update review in about a month or so. For now.. sweet dreams
I have dermatitis on my ear and it is very painful. After surgery I had to sleep on the painful ear and that made it worse. Out of desperation I bought this pillow. It has helped a lot and even keeps my hair from getting so messed up! It was purchased through the Amazon warehouse and arrived without any information. I am hoping that the manufacturer will help me purchase another pillowcase. The pillowcase washes and dries very nicely but it would be good to have another one to alternate with.
This pillow is amazing I have been battling ear cancer for over a year and spent hundreds on pillows and ended up in severe pain could not sleep would wake up all night changing pillows. I figured I would give this a try and I feel like I hit the lottery, best sleep in a year sleep right through the night fantastic!!! I have never written a review before but I did so because I figured there has to be other people out there suffering from the same issues. Trust me if you have any type of ear pain and trouble sleeping this is well worth the money and you can also turn over to the other side no problem. Slept right through the first night. I can’t say enough about this amazing ear pillow.
I love this pillow because I get ear pain when I sleep and a really stiff neck and this solved those problems! My only complaint is that the inserts to make the pillow thicker move around in the case so I always have to adjust the pillow to get them back together. I also would recommend using this pillow only under your head. I had it and another pillow and it makes you crane your neck too much. It is still such a great pillow I lay my head down on it at night and I am out almost instantly which never happened before!
Unfortunately, I recently acquired bursitis in one shoulder, so its pretty uncomfortable to sleep on that side. After a few months of sleeping on only one side the, “down” ear got pretty sore – the cartilage was not happy. I talked to a physical therapist, who suggested an “ear pillow”. Who knew? I hesitated buying one of the more expensive products in this category, but rationalized it was a “medical expense”, and would be a bargain if it worked.
The good news is that the ear pain is now gone and the expense seems like a pretty minor issue. However, I am not sure if I will continue using this pillow once the bursitis improves.
Finally, I have found a pillow that allows me to sleep on my side. I am undergoing multiple ear surgeries and the configuration of this pillow has allowed me to place my ear in the hole and sleep on my side. I am thrilled to finally get a good night’s sleep. It took 2 nights to figure out the best height by changing out the foam pads and ultimately I “got it right” by using both foam pads.
Shortly after mastering the pillow I received an email offer for another pillow cover … free… perfect!!!

I’ve used this pillow for about three weeks now and it has become my favorite pillow of all time! The memory foam is very comfortable and encases my head perfectly. I don’t like a pillow with much loft, and the pillow without the two included inserts works perfect for me. If you want a taller pillow just add one or both of the inserts; the pillow is highly customizable. I am a side sleeper and one of the things I LOVE about this pillow is the two ear holes in the pillow that relieves pressure on your ears. I would always wake up in the middle of the night with ear pain from sleeping too long on one side and have to turn over. The ear holes in this pillow eliminate that problem. I also like the slight horseshoe cutout that helps keep your head on the pillow without having your shoulder on the pillow like most conventional rectangle shaped pillows. This pillow is well thought out and the company is a small business with excellent customer service. They even shipped me a spare pillow case at no additional charge. Highly recommended!
Really comfy, supportive pillow – has solved my problem with achy ears and I can finally wear ear plugs in both ears without discomfort! Very happy. The seller kindly offered to send me a second cover free of charge too which will be very handy. The cover is super soft has washed well so far.
I can only comment on the specific reason why I purchased pillow. Over 5 years ago I had ear piercings that never healed properly. I have problems with sleeping on a normal pillow because of the pressure on both ears, plus my ears would fold over. I stopped wearing earrings after antibiotics, but for some reason the holes never closed. So when I saw this pillow I was more than anxious to try it. I have waited to write a review after several weeks to try the pillow out. It is amazing! It does take time to adjust and yes I wake up during the night to make sure my ear is in the ear hole. The company reached out after purchase and offered to send an extra pillowcase! For my experience it has been a win/win. Plus after 5 years, I have been able to put an earrings in the unclosed holes and wear them at night. I am very satisfied with this purchase!
I have sjgren’s syndrome which involves my glands swelling up underneath my ear at at my throat so lying on my side is impossible when I have a flair up, however having this pillow completely takes away the pressure from ear and relieves the pain I normally felt on my old pillow. I cannot recommend this pillow enough as I could now not do without it and I would recommend anyone else who suffers from Sjogrens to buy this, my partner got me is as a birthday present and it turned out to the be the best present I have ever received for the relief it has given me 🙂
This is a very comfortable pillow that lets me sleep through the night instead of keep waking and turning due to a jaw problem. Just as importantly, this is probably the best Customer Service I have ever come across! The company has pulled out all the stops to provide me with a spare pillow cover as I am unable to wash and dry on the same day. Perhaps there could be a future product option to purchase two covers at the outset. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this seller again!

The pillow comes with two slide-in inserts to make it thicker or thinner as needed.
The unanticipated advantage of the pillow is that it positions the nostril closest to the pillow so I can breathe without obstruction from both nostrils (all my previous pillows required some work to not block the bottom nostril). Design is slightly concave between the two holes which leaves my lowest nostril unblocked when I’m facing the empty hole. When I’m facing away from the empty hole, I’m just close enough to the edge of the pillow that I don’t get one nostril blocked then either.

I have tried all sorts of pillows and so far this one is proving to be the best ,I am not waking in the middle of the night with XS pressure on my ear which I am experienced with other pillows . It is also letting me breathe more easily .
I liked everything about this comfort pillow, it is very comfortable and helps with my ear pain. My sleep has emproved.

This is a nice pillow and a novel idea. I had no ear pain during use, so it did exactly as advertised in that regard. Unfortunately, I found the pressure of sleeping on my side was just redistributed to another part of my face around where the ear holes were, which landed around my eye and jaw. This was more uncomfortable for me than the pressure on my ear, so I decided to return.
I absolutely love this pillow. You have no idea how many pillows I have donated for so many years. For some reason every pillow I owned made the tops of my ears ache then they would feel like they were burning. It would be so painful I would not be able to sleep. I bought pillows advertised on tv and in stores but nothing helped. I was on Amazon and searched for pillows for ear pain. I never knew these special pillows even existed. After research and reading positive and negative reviews, I decided this would be the best to try. I liked the filling better than the others and the fact I could lower the padding if needed but so far I have left it as it came to me. Also the customer service you receive is fantastic. Once again, I love this pillow. Best ever.
I have to admit that this pillow takes some time to adjust to but I am so happy that during that time I have not had ear pain. The pillow seems to be made of high quality foam and it is supportive for sure. I was frantic trying to find a way to sleep on my side without the blinding ear pain I was having every night. This pillow allows me to sleep without the pain. It took awhile to figure out my position and I am still fussing a little with it but overall one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.
I have been recently diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Thru all the sleep studies, it was determined that when I am on my side, I have fewer episodes. I haven’t gotten a CPAP yet but am trying to sleep on my side. This pillow fits the bill so far. I am loving this pillow because it is not big and obnoxious. It is also very soft and supportive. I love the way you can customize the height as well. My ears don’t really hurt me but that is only an added feature to me. Plus, when I do get a CPAP, I can continue to use this pillow.
I am SO VERY happy with this pillow. I FINALLY found a pillow that relieves my pain. I suffer of an “inexplicable” discomfort that happens only at night, when for some reason the cartilage of my ear gets inflamed and the ear that is pressing on the pillow starts hurting like hell. That wakes me up. I change side and the other ear will then hurt the same. So it has been 2 years where my sleep isn’t the same anymore.
I ended up looking on google for people that have the same problem. I was relieved to find out that I am not alone. One person recommended to try out the pillow and so I bought it.

And it is the most comfortable pillow I have ever had. I sleep on my side, the pillow supports my head and neck perfectly. The foam gives the right amount of softness/hardness. My ears float with freedom in the provided ear holes and I hear them “screaming of happiness” that they are finally not suffocated and pressed against anything.

I originally ordered this pillow on 7/27/20. It arrived as expected and I love it!!! It is a great pillow and much, much better than another one that I had ordered. It is soft and supportive and fits perfectly if I decide to lie on either side or back.
I was told that I would receive an extra pillow case for it when I checked with them in Dec. At the time, they were out of stock, but Gina said that she would notify me when one had been shipped and they were back in stock. Even better, Gina said that I would get it for no extra charge. I don’t think I have ever received such good customer service. As promised, I received notification that the pillow case has shipped and I should receive it by January 20.

I’ve been using this pillow for a couple of weeks and am in heaven! I sleep best without the two included inserts but I’ve found good uses for them in my car. I’ve slept much better than I have in years—my ear pain was so extreme from an autoimmune disorder that I could barely move my head off my pillow in the middle of the night. I love the little side bumpers that help to get perfect ear placement. My pillow never had the odor I was expecting to have to air out for a day. The pillow case is easily washable. I’ve spent a lot of money on pillows and this is the first one that is “just right”.
I sleep on my side and have a small problem with TMJ. I often do not get a good night’s sleep. I have had the pillow for 1 wk and I have a full night’s sleep every night. The ear holes are a brilliant idea. My head and jaw are supported and I don’t get pressure on my ears. The holes do not cause “ocean sounds” that you typically get with things that surround your ear with a closed space. The pillow was a bit off-putting at first because it is quite thick and seemed rather firm. However, I actually ended up using one of the included inserts to make it even taller; who knew? The foam conforms to me head and it feels really good. When I roll over, the ear hole on the other side matches up perfectly. I love it!
Like many I have been on a long search for a good pillow. This isn’t a good pillow, it’s a GREAT pillow. I gave four stars because I have only had it a few days, I need to give it a little more time for the last star but I’m hopeful. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my neck, and just went through a bought of shingles on my head. I needed relief for my head and none of my pillow assortment has helped. I slept two nights on this pillow, no crushed ears, and the pain in my head and neck is less. I felt good for the first time in a month, I think this is the one. It’s worth a try! And the company is great to work with.
I have obstructive sleep apnea, which means side-sleeping is the way to go for me if I want to keep my airway open throughout the night. This pillow has been the only side-sleeping one I’ve come across that actually encourages me to stay in that position all night without making it awkward for me to roll from one side to the other. I wish the little foam inserts that came with it could make it a little more firm, since this is a very soft foam which provides little support for my shoulders. Otherwise, it’s a great pillow.

I did a lot of research searching for a pillow that would help me with my jaw clenching at night. I kept seeing this pillow pop up and I honestly felt pretty skeptical based on how it looked. I had never tried a pillow with ear holes before and I do wake up with ear pain at times so I figured I’d give it a try anyway. Well I am so glad I did. I absolutely love this pillow. It is not too firm and not too soft, it cradles my head perfectly. The ear holes are extremely comfortable and something I had no idea I was missing out on! I have been calling asleep faster and staying asleep longer. I do not feel that this pillow has had a huge effect on my jaw clenching but since the quality of my sleep is improving, I have woken up feeling better overall. I definitely recommend it.
This is my second pillow as my son wanted one after he saw mine. It arrived very quickly as did the first. Both me and my son suffer with TMJ. This is helping so much. We have suffered less jaw/ear pain and it helps relieve pressure on my neck.

This pillow is saving my ear and sleep! Even soft pillows cause me severe ear pain which causes me to toss and turn all night, but this one is the perfect size for my ear to fit, and still provide neck support. I like that they included the extra height inserts, but at this point I do not need them as I found it the perfect height already.
Yes it is pricey, not sure why (there are holes in it, haha!), but it is well made and you really can’t put a price on a good night’s rest!
This is a great pillow for more than sore ears! It is a strange looking pillow, so I was hesitant to try it. Don’t be, it has turned out to be just fantastic! It was designed ergonomically, so the ear holes are at the right distance for either side of my head, as well as being the right distance from my shoulders. Other CHN pillows seem to have the holes in the middle of the pillow, which is too far to fit me (Adult female) correctly. I’m finding it terrifically comfortable for my ears and just laying on my back facing up. I use a CPAP mask which is intrinsically uncomfortable, but the shape of this pillow is perfect for me to sleep on my side without the mask being pushed by the pillow. I had hoped for relief from my ear pain, but the way it is working with my CPAP mask is a huge benefit. Anyway, I found this pillow to be ridiculously comfortable and I am sleeping much better than I have in months because of it. My only question is that I haven’t quite figured out how to get regular pillow cases to reliably stay pushed down in the ear holes.
The cartilage in my ears has broken down as I have gotten older. Being a side sleeper, I have had many sleepless nights trying to get comfortable using a regular pillow. I tried the pillow with a hole in the middle, but found that to be too flat and unsupportive for my neck. I recently came across the PureComfort pillow and, out of desperation, decided to give it a try. At first, it seemed awkward and uncomfortable, but after about a week, I now love it! My ears feel so much better and so does my neck.I am sleeping better than I have in years! Customer service is excellent, too. They contacted me to make sure I am happy with the pillow and have even offered to send me a free pillowcase, which I am waiting to receive. I’m so happy I finally found the perfect pillow!

This pillow memory foam is like no other I’ve tried. Totally soft, but does not collapse, with two extra pieces to adjust to the height you need. Amazingly no odor or maybe there might have been some when I set it aside for one day, but I could not detect any. I am very chemically sensitive and had no issues whatever. There are two distinct pockets for your ear to fit…I have not decided which I prefer yet. But you have two options to decide which is more comfortable. The pillow case is super soft and easy on your face. It did not shrink when washed. It was nice not having to continually reshape a pillow during the night, which I had to do with my pricey white goose down pillow.
Another plus is my bad neck did not hurt. An excellent product for sure.
We bought a new bed after 20 years, so I wanted a new pillow as my old memory foam was hard as a rock. I don’t have problems with my ears, other than the fact they are very inflexible, but I am a side sleeper and my ears always get sore. I thought simply a new pillow would be okay, but no, that didn’t work (a very expensive pillow from where I bought the mattress). My ears still hurt in the morning. I looked on Amazon for a soft pillow. It felt fine, but by morning, it was totally flat. I tried a 3rd one that said it was supportive, but soft. Nope. So I looked for the pillows with ear holes and waffled among them for quite awhile, reading reviews, until I decided on this one. I’ve used it for a week now and I LOVE IT!!! I saw reviews where people complained the holes were too big or too small, but for me they are perfect. It’s exactly the right support and the right height under my neck with both wedges. The company support is GREAT and I highly recommend this pillow!!!
Originally I came looking for this as I had new cartilage ear piercings and couldn’t sleep on my preferred side but after 3 weeks of sleeping on it, I wouldn’t return to a conventional pillow. It’s so comfortable, after 2 nights I’d adjusted to the unique shape and feel, and I am sleeping better. Truly worth a try!
Starting in my late 40s, early 50s I would wake up many times throughout the night and first thing in the morning with terrible pain in the cartilage in my ears. I am a side sleeper and obviously a deep sleeper. Frequently the pain would be so bad it would actually wake me up out of a sound sleep, making me tired during the day. I asked my spouse if it happened to him and he said no. So I did a google search to see if it was just me! LOL Low and behold many suffer with this and it eventually led me to this pillow. I was skeptical for many reasons but all the positive reviews I read spurred me to give it a go! This is THE MOST COMFORTABLE PILLOW I have EVER used (and I have tried many!). ZERO ear pain. I sleep all the way through the night. My neck is supported. It’s soft. it’s adjustable (though I use all the inserts). The pillow case is soft. I just LOVE it. Seriously life-changing. And the owner of the company emailed me personally to check in, offered me a second free pillow case as a thank you…then realized she was out of them and gave me a 5% refund without my asking, plus promised to send the second pillow case as soon as she gets more in. Who does that??? I’m seriously impressed.
I have chronic neck pain so Im constantly buying new pillows to help support my head properly at night. I typically end up with contoured foam type but they leave me feeling like I need to strech my back every morning. I decided to go w this unusual shaped pillow and I havent had any back or neck pain in a week. I used all the inserts as I prefer a firmer support and its also super hot which the instructions say will make the foam softer. I really like the shape as it allows my sholders to lie at the best angle and its not nearly as bulky as my countoured pillows. Also I didnt know I needed the ear holes but theyre actually quite comfy, my only gripe is if I put my ear too far back in the hole (toward the middle) my mouth tends to sink into the ear hole and its hard to breathe. Fingers crossed this pillow lasts cause its a keeper for sure!
My wife has only been able to sleep on her right side for some time, this has resulted in irration to her ear which becomes painful to sleep on.
This pillow has been a god send and we can highly reccomend it.
As an aside we have also found the seller very helpful when we needed to purchase a second pillow case.
I went looking for a new side-sleeper pillow and ran across this one; with ear holes. At first I thought what the heck, and after reading the description I said hey, I do have an issue with trying to get comfortable without waking up with ear cartlidge pain. Thought this was because of the bunched up pillow case, or sleeping on a crease. Hence, I decided to give it a try. I have been sleeping on this pillow now for a few weeks, and I can truly say this pillow is it. Not just for the ear cartlidge pain relieve, but I tend to sleep towards the side of the pillow with my arms up next to my face; this pillow is smaller than a standard pillow in width, and the ear placement works perfect right or left, with no smothering your face in pillow. Supports the neck and allows a natural turn when rolling over. This pillow even works well as described, with ear phones in. The owner also reached out and offered a second pillow case for free, as well as asked how my purchase was working out. No need to search elsewhere, I would highly recommend 🙂
The pillow was bought for me as a gift as I suffer from a TMD and research suggested that this would be good. It’s early days but it seems good so far and I’m experimenting with the different pillow thicknesses to work out which suits me best. Excellent customer service from PureComfortGoods – they couldn’t have been more obliging in terms of advice and sending me a spare pillow case.
I have a medical issue with my ear, chondrodermatitis, that my dermatologist has treated several times. The fact that I sleep on my side and stomach were causing the condition to get worse and I was waking up continually through the night with terrible ear pain. The doctor finally suggested that I try a pillow with a hole, which led me to this one. I have not even had it two weeks and I can tell a big difference! I have finally been able to sleep without waking up because of the pain, plus less pain overall! The customer service is the BEST!! I highly recommend this to anyone who has ear pain. I had no idea so many people had the same trouble with not being able to sleep because of pain in their ear until I read the reviews and saw the relief people were getting from this pillow. I immediately ordered one and will say I am so thankful I did!
Very comfortable and not too bulky – exactly the right type of thickness Protects both ears, since there are 2 holes. Highly recommend this pillow.
Edit: I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending me a replacement. I’ll add more stars if this one holds up better. So far customer service has been great.
My ears ached, and I was in trouble. I hadn’t had a decent night’s sleep for as long as I can remember due to ear pain, a consequence of sleeping on my side which concentrated the weight of my head on the area where the ear hits the pillow. Aside from the pain, my earlobes were inflamed, which for a guy who isn’t all that good-looking to begin with, was not a minor issue, or in this case, tissue. A Google search led me to PureComfort’s Side-Sleeping Pillow, which I ordered immediately and I haven’t looked back. The service was prompt and courteous, and the product is suburb! From the first night, I got instantaneous relief from my ear pain and sleepless nights. Thank you, PureComfort for this fabulous product.
I purchased this pillow a year ago because I sleep on my side exclusively and have painful cartilage nodules on both ears. Before the purchase I had resorted to carving holes in 3″ foam from the craft store and using that as my lower pillow – not terribly comfortable but better than any regular pillow. In addition it helps me fall asleep if I cover my exposed ear – regular pillows would stay in place there, but the pressure of even a lightweight pillow really hurt my ear.
I am a small woman. The height of this PureComfort side sleeper pillow, minus “risers” , is perfect but the sides (between outside edge and hole) are long enough that it makes breathing through my nose tricky. My compromise is to use the craft foam pillow for below and the PureComfort above. Making a head sandwich : ))
The Pure Comfort is dense and supremely soft. Because the hole doesn’t go all the way through, the pillow acts like a noise canceling headphone – making voices and car traffic on my busy street disappear. The lack of pressure on my ear cartilage has helped heal it. I’d been afraid the memory foam would be hot in the summertime, but it stays comfortable all night long.
I expect this is an unconventional way to use this pillow but it works wonderfully for me. If they every came out with a smaller version I’d get it too!
Just what I wanted – very comfortable to sleep on the side with earplugs in. The pillow cover is very soft as well. Highly recommended.
I’m a side-sleeper and several months ago I started having ear pain on whichever side I was sleeping on, bad enough to wake me. I’d switch sides and fall asleep until the ear I was lying on hurt enough to wake me. I tried a few different kinds of pillows and none of them helped. The first night I slept on this pillow, I had NO ear pain! I wondered if it would be difficult to get my ear over the hole when I switched sides during the night but that was no problem. But wait, there’s more….I also have history of neck issues from a whiplash injury over 30 years ago. I’ve struggled over the years to find a pillow that provides enough support to keep my neck from hurting during the night while not being too thick. This new pillow has been great for my neck and I’ve not woken with neck pain since I started sleeping on it. Please consider trying this pillow if either of my issues sound familiar to you. The good news is this company has amazing customer service so I know if you have any questions or issues, they would be resolved promptly. Great product, great customer service. What a nice combination!
Recently had ear surgery and hadn’t slept properly for days until this pillow arrived! Very soft and comfy.
Pillow purchased specifically to ease comfort of a painful jaw. I was a bit uncertain as not sure if it would work and worried that I might be wasting my money as I have done with lots of other pillows in the past. I need not have worried as the pillow is very comfortable and eased the pain from the first night. Well worth the outlay.
Pillow was great until after ~6 months the foam ripped from the ear holes down to the bottom. Foam could also be firmer.
Update: Contacted seller and was informed that, “Due to the design of the pillow with the patented air channels (so one doesn’t experience the seashell effect with their ear in the holes), if they get pulled apart too much they can cause the foam to tear which has happened (this is actually not a defect). We stand by our warranty! We would rather have the product have this feature so it works really well, with the knowledge we may have to replace a few pillows down the road. If this happened again, we would indeed replace them as well.”
I was promptly provided a replacement pillow. I am very impressed with the provided customer service and am once again a happy consumer. I would gladly do business with this company again.
This product was not for me, bit too high. However ive given it a high score due to the companies customer service. They were brilliant, they contacted me to offer another product in replacement for free and were really friendly when responding to me.
Excellent product. I have used various pillows to help relieve ear pressure in the past and I can honestly say this is the best. It may be a bit strange looking but it definitely does what it promises.
I can’t sleep on my back due to sleep apnea, can’t sleep on my front as get problems with nasal congestion and am prone to ear pressure pain as sleep with wax earplugs. So must sleep on my side. These pillow holes really do give better, deeper sleep with less need to move during the night. Money well spent.
I love this pillow! I purchased it over a month ago to replace an old Womfy pillow and am so glad I did. It was soft and comfortable the first night I used it, which isn’t always true for memory foam pillows. As a side-sleeper who suffers from fibromyalgia, I need a pillow that supports my neck since I have constant tension and pain in my neck and shoulders. Besides being supportive of my neck, I have found that it also helps relieve my jaw tension and ear pain and helps prevent headaches. I love the easy-to-remove pillowcase and was pleased when the seller contacted me shortly after my purchase and offered to send a second cover free of charge. Sure enough, I received another pillowcase about a week later. Overall, I am very happy with this product and impressed with the customer service. I would highly recommend trying this pillow if you are a fellow chronic pain sufferer.
With this product, my cervical spine and the muscles in the neck zone got better and relaxed. The hole in the ear seems to be strange, but in reality, when you using the pillow you always search for the hole. It makes you feel more comfortable.
This pillow is simply awesome. 2nd one i’ve bought and suits my needs perfectly as a side sleeper wearing earplugs. Soft yet supportive (unless perhaps you have a particularly big head?) Also the customer care from the company is brilliant.
