I have used this pillow for 5 nights so far and am very pleased with it.
It doesn’t smell of chemicals, it’s soft but supportive and best of all, I wake up able to hear clearly.
I took my time to use this before reviewing it. This is not a big poofy fluffy pillow that will sit on your grand king sized bed next to your other poofy but useless pillows. This pillow is 100% workhorse. I have never used a pillow like this before, and hopefully will only use this one from here on out. My ear pain that I would get almost every night from my other feather, synthetic, and even more firm memory foam pillows would wake me up at night with throbbing ears, and often I had a lot of trouble getting the right support and wake with neck pain.
I ordered this out of desperation and am so glad! It’s soft enough around the ears without losing its support, and comes with a couple of inserts that raise the height of the pillow if you prefer (I use both of these inserts). I appreciate that I can lie on my side to read with glasses on, and the holes will support the glasses frame enough that I can actually read comfortably.
The company also sent me a free extra pillowcase. I do use a regular pillowcase over the one it came with, just so it won’t get bullied sitting on the bed with the poofy ones who look pretty but don’t get used. This pillow changed my sleep quality, and I highly recommend it.
I’ve had this pillow for almost 3 months now and I have some helix, conch, and daith piercings (anywhere from 6 months to 5 years old) that really began to make me miserable from sleeping on a regular pillow. I ordered this one based off reviews and I will say it works wonders for us side/stomach sleepers. My piercings are no longer angry and finally starting to feel better. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the memory foam has torn just below the “ear hole” where that side is thinner. It’s still a comfortable pillow! But beware that it could rip under both ear holes.
I’m a side sleeper who also suffers from constant vertigo and dizziness. My doc recommend that I slept inclined. I’ve tries different option – wedge, multiple types of contour pillows, foam, bamboo, down, double pillows, etc. Think I’ve practically tried every option out there. What had worked for me was a heavy subikawa (?) pillow that I got from Ross years, but it has softened with age and no longer supports my neck as a side sleeper. Unfortunately, could not find the same pillow anymore. Found this pillow while searching yet again on Amazon for side sleeping options, put it off for months as I could not fathom spending so much for a pillow. There was an open box deal so got it and love it! Think I need another inch or two to help me a bit more with the incline, but so far, am using a flat pillow under it. My ears no longer hurt in the morning, and rarely does my neck as well. I love it!
I bought this product because I have a lot of piercings in my ears and event tough they would heal they also had inflamation during my sleep if I slept on them ! This pillow is perfect because it’s as confortable as it is releiving my pain. Only down side a bit too expensive but worth the money !
It has helped my neck and upper back. I thought that the TemperPedic Foam would crush down and not continue to give support but that is not the case. Also, love the pockets for my ears, I have had trouble in the past with my ears sinking into the pillow and when I would raise up it would cause a suction on my eardrum which resulted in severe dizziness. The great point is, that I can choose whether I want to use the ear holes or sleep in the middle of the pillow. I also put my small Cd remote in the pocket and it doesn’t interfere with my comfort but I still have access to the remote during the night. The company has offered to send me an additional pillowcase at no charge so I am waiting on that. Great additional service.
I purchased my pillow almost 6 months ago. Next to a Tempur-Pedic which was about double this price, PureComfort is the most comfortable pillow I’ve found. Initially, I bought a soft PureComfort because I didn’t see the last word in the description as I compared pillows on Amazon. Although it was more comfortable than a couple of other pillows I tried, the height was a little low for me and still left me with some neck discomfort. When I revisited the PureComfort site, I realized there was a standard version of this pillow that would be firmer. I bought that pillow and got the height I need. At this price point, PureComfort provides me with the best pillow I’ve found. The cover is soft. When I contacted PureComfort to assure that the second pillow would be standard firmness, their representative was quick to respond and especially helpful. Now, I ordered a pillow for my daughter–a side sleeper with an ear piercing that can get irritated with too much pressure. My pillow is just as comfy after six months of use as it was when I bought it.
Update about 16 months into use: my daughter and I still love our PureComfort pillows. I’m about to buy one for my other daughter and get a spare or two because I think it’s that comfortable. I’m also going to share this page with my chiropractor because this pillow provides me with great support and comfort.

This pillow completely solved my ear pain after trying a number of other pillows. I’ve had it since October 2019. I also like it because I can place earbuds in the holes so I can listen to my iPad at night without the noise disturbing my spouse. I wish they offered cotton pillowcases, which I would find a bit more comfortable than the bamboo. But the customer service was great as they quickly responded to my request for extra pillow cases. My pillow doesn’t have any smell like other reviews mentioned. I think it did at first but it went away fast. Great solution for ear pain while sleeping.
I would love to see this company product other designs of pillows with the ear holes, such as one with the double contour that is popular with other memory foam pillows.
Well, I like it better than any other pillow I’ve tried, but it’s not perfect.
The ear holes are unbelievably comfortable, the foam density is just right, and it truly doesn’t smell (even to my husband, who’s extremely sensitive to chemical smells). I wish the inserts didn’t slide around under the pillow, but it’s worth it to be able to adjust the height. I use 0-2 depending on my mood, and occasionally add or remove them during the night. I wish there were a custom pillowcase, but it fits in a standard case alright.
My only complaint is…why isn’t it flat??? It’s shaped like a shallow basin with a rim around the top edge, so your face is either angled up or down depending on which ear hole you decide to use. What’s with that?? If it were flat, it would be the perfect pillow.
I bought this expensive pillow because I was having neck aches and earaches every morning. I read the description on this item and thought great! This will help me get a better sleep. So I ordered it and when it came I was excited to use it. My first night, right off I could see it was too high for my neck and since it was firm and didn’t scrunch down at all I couldn’t use it because it made my neck angle too high. The ear openings were great, but it may be spaced for a larger head. When I had tried it the ear openings were off just a little so that my nose was in the pillow preventing me from breathing easily. So there it sits on the floor and I went to a local store and purchased a six dollar pillow that I will use until it goes flat and I need to purchase another. But let me say also that the quality is very good and they do give you 2 additional extra pads to raise the pillow should you need to. Unfortunately I needed it a little lower and I think it may just have worked for me.
I’ve woke up exhausted every morning for years as a result of ear, and shoulder pain throughout the night. This pillow has changed that. I was spending ten hours a night in bed and still not getting enough rest. Now that I have this pillow there is no more ear pain, and as an extra bonus there seams to be little to no shoulder pain. The pillow has an orthopedic quality, with very good support. I now get sufficient rest in 7 to 8 hours per night, and am much more productive during the day as a result. At first I was leary about the shape of the pillow, and was unsure if two ear holes as apposed to one hole in the middle would be good, but the pillow had such good ratings I had to try it out. I’m so glad I did. It seams that the shape of the pillow causes your ear to naturally land at the hole when I lay down. This was exactly what I needed.
I had been suffering with CNH suddenly after sleeping on my side most of my life without problem. I thought it would go away but it got worse and after a Google search I “self diagnosed” it and starting looking for a solution. Looked at a few pillows with holes/pockets in them and decided on this one. It arrived quickly and I slept on it that night. Ear pain was gone! It was the first night of solid sleep I’d had in months. What was even better was the customer service and follow up I received. I have suffered on and off with pressure pain on my ears waking me up for years. Problem is worse lately due to health issues. It took a couple of nights to get used to the pillow and now I’m really pleased. It’s cool and with your ears in the holes it’s pain free sleeping. Customer service excellent too.
Not to bore anyone but as background, for multiple medical reasons I cannot sleep on my back, stomach or right side. After sleeping on my left side all night for three months, I developed an open sore on my left ear. I knew that I couldn’t spend the rest of my life sleeping in a recliner. I found this pillow and it quickly relieved my problem. I would highly recommend this product. I would like to make some suggestions to the manufactures however. 1) There is too much material in the pillowcase that fills the ear pockets. 2) The option to purchase quality cotton pillowcases 3) Option of pillow without cutouts for headphones (my neck sometimes falls into them).
First, I would like to say that I never right product for reviews. I’m just really busy and I don’t have the time to review everything I buy. But based on my experience with this pillow, I felt compelled to write a review.
I am in a long time Tmj suffer. My muscles get very tight in my neck, above and behind my ear and jaw. I have tried every pillow under the sun. I tried MyPillow, a Tempur-pedic pillow, a sleep number pillow, you name it! I have a collection of pillows that did not work in my closet.
I was obviously skeptical of this pillow when I saw it online and it was difficult for me to purchase it because I couldn’t feel it myself. For this reason, I usually don’t make a habit of buying pillows online.
I am so happy I did! This pillow has improved my sleep quality greatly! There’s something about not having that pressure on my ear that is making me fall into a deeper sleep. My husband actually has commented about how when he looks at me in the middle of the night he can actually tell that I am more comfortable and in a much deeper sleep. I’m waking up more refreshed! But best of all I can feel some of my muscle tension going away! I truly cannot convey over this review how big of an impact it has made in my day-to-day life.
If you suffer from Tmj I really would give this a shot. I know from battling Tmj myself that the disorder is difficult to treat and quite misunderstood. I have tried so many things to help with my Tmj but this pillow has by far been one of the best things for mine.
I ordered this pillow for my disabled mother who has an ear corn. Despite her resistance to the idea, she has adopted and loves this pillow, her ear has even healed up and doesn’t hurt her anymore. This is her second pillow. The first went into the washer and came out in pieces, we have a front load and used the gentle cycle, but the pillow did not survive. I was emailed an offer from the seller for a free extra pillow case, responded with all the requested info. To date we have not received any confirmation that our request was received and have not received an extra pillow case.
Had a pain free night the first time I used this pillow. Very speedy delivery and wonderful follow up from the company. Highly recommended if you suffer from ear pressure pain.
This pillow here helped me sooo much. I was waking up with my back aching like crazy as well as my shoulders and neck. My whole body ached tbh but those were the main points that hurt the most. After getting this pillow I haven’t waken up to body pain or aches and it’s great. I don’t have any ear pain or problems but the ear holes are surprisingly comfy and came in handy when I got an ear infection. The pillow case is super duper soft. I really wish they sold a silk/satin pillowcase for this pillow though. I usually sleep with one and since then my hair gets extra dry and tangled when I wake. I’m thinking I might take this pillow case to a hem store and see if they’ll make me a satin one.
Only downside to this pillow is it’s not supposed to be washed in the washer machine only the pillow case and spot clean the pillow which I’m someone who likes to deep clean pillows here and there so that is a bummer for me.
Could do with being cheaper for what it is but it’s comfortable and has helped keep the pressure off of my skull fracture site.

I’ve had severe TMJD pain for 30 years, had jaw reconstruction surgery, braces, acupuncture, chiropractic care, TMJ steroid injections and disc surgery. Sleeping on my side was becoming impossible. I’d been using the Core pillow for years, which is perfect if you can stay on your back, which I can’t. This pillow is great for side sleeping, my ears fit perfectly. I don’t wake up with jaw or ear pain any more. The 4 stars is because I wish it had a small divot in the middle for back sleeping, but that’s not what it was designed for. There is a couple night adjustment period, but give it a chance. I use it without the extra support, it’s very thick on it’s own.
After getting home, unpacking and realizing her pillow was left, she was sorely disappointed. Of course, the hotel couldn’t “find” it. She went nights, constantly saying “I miss my pillow!” This is where, In my search for a replacement, the PureComfort – Side Sleepng Pillow comes in.
Simply put, it’s amazing! Slightly larger, more comfortable, comes with 3 optional levels of thickness, a better zippered pillow case and larger ear holes (previously had to cut out the holes to make them larger on our last one).
The day it arrived, she laid down on it and was literally asleep in minutes, lol!! I continue to get daily praise from her a she’s constantly stating, I LOVE my new pillow!!”

I have a condition that makes it so if I sleep with any pressure on my ears, such as the pressure of laying on a conventional pillow, I’ll awaken many times with piercing ear pain. I first discovered the U-shaped pillow with ear hole to counteract this, and I was happy because it worked, though I found the pillow itself to be awkward. When that finally broke open, spilling beads, I went looking for an alternative and found this. I had a sense from the beginning that it might be wonderful because of the feel of the foam, but took a few weeks of breaking in before it felt like a perfect match. Now this is my favorite thing about going to sleep. It supports my neck in a way that lets my muscles relax. I love how it has two holes, so it doesn’t have to be flipped with me. Though they seemed low in the photos, the ear holes are, no surprise, exactly where they need to be. I have narrow shoulders so the height is right without the included inserts, but I really appreciate they are there in case the pillow flattens a little in time. Thank you for this!
Wow. This is exactly what my ear needed!
I’ve never had a memory foam pillow, so I can’t compare it to others (despite a friend’s I slept on in their guest bedroom, which was amazing), but I’d like to share the positives and negatives of my experience thus far:
-This pillow provides great support for my neck. I took out one of the extra layers and that was just right for me.
-As a frequent side sleeper, I often get intense ear pain (which led me to research new pillows and find this one). The protective space for my ear has stopped my ear pain.
– It’s unique shape accommodates where I put my shoulder/arm as I sleep on my side.
– It’s super soft on my face. I used to use a silk pillow case cover on my traditional pillow, so the softness of this bamboo cover has made the switch easy.
Negatives:
– I wish it came with an extra cover. I don’t intend to use it with a traditional pillow cover as some reviewers have unhappily tried. It wouldn’t fit, so why try? That’s why it would be helpful to have an extra cover though.
-Occasionally, and until I’m in the right position, I’ve gotten that slight suction feeling some other reviews have mentioned. While it’s not ideal, the trade-off for no ear pain is absolutely worth it.
I’ll update if any changes to my experience occur, but I hope this is helpful for others with ear pain!
Love it slept so well last night no neck pain in the morning!!
Here’s a list of issues/suggestions. The numbers correspond with the one of the photos I’ve included in this review.
1. The double covers result in the ear hole pocket miss-aligning with the fabric so that the hole size is reduced. It also prevents the channel below the ear holes from being unobstructed.
2. Because the second cover is permanently installed, there’s no way to wash it if it gets dirty.
3. The channels below the ear holes could be widened or cut the other direction to relieve pressure on the sleeper’s carotid artery in their neck.
4. The ridge at the top applies unnecessary pressure and requires a cert head size to sit comfortably. The same issue exists with the raised ridges on the left/right sides of the pillow. This also results in extra pressure on the eyes and sinuses.
5. The distance between the bottom of the ear hole and bottom of the pillow is too tall to accommodate the space from the shoulder to ear on a large man. It’s likely even more of an issue for smaller people.
6. The extra pillow case you offered would be nice to sell along with the pillow as regular pillow cases wouldn’t work well with the current pillow design. That way you could have one in the laundry and one on the pillow.
7. The inner bottom channel has “knobs” on them which applies more pressure on the neck than needed.
8. The ear on a person’s head is more diagonal than vertical.
9. Using a standard pillow case works fine with my suggested modifications. That would allow customers to use their own cases/fabrics. It doesn’t look as nice, but is much more comfortable and flexible to have the option to use our existing pillow cases and designs that match other pillows/sheets.
10. Larger ear holes also lend themselves to back sleeping as the head is cradled on either side of the ear hole.
The pillow is great at distributing the pressure across the face, just as advertised. I highly recommend it if you’re a notorious side sleeper.
If you’re sleeping on the back, the pillow might be a little too high for you and result in neck problems — it seems to have resulted in some neck pain for me, even though this problem isn’t huge for me — and if you’re sleeping on the belly, the shape of the pillow might cause problems with the pressure against the face for sensitive people.
The holes work OK for me, but I do have a feeling that they are a little too high up on the pillow for maximum comfort based on my anatomy (which is quite average). The customer service of the seller was absolutely superior.
Wow, I really wanted to love this pillow! When I unwrapped it and saw that the ear openings are larger than its competitors’, I was so happy. but, after less than 10 days, I noticed that the foam has split from the bottom of the ear opening to the edge of the pillow. The case holds it together, but I am very disappointed. This is much too much to pay for something that begin crumbling so soon. I guess I will use it until it actually falls apart too much and toss it. Too bad the Whombly is no longer available, that was the closest to perfect yet although I thought this would beat it, too bad.
UPDATE: Well the seller sent a free replacement pillow with a pillowcase and the pillowcase holds the pillow together. It’s worked out really well, I’m comfy while I sleep during the day so I can work as a night shift travel nurse. Awesome
I am a side sleeper and usually woke up in the middle of the night with terrible ear pain because the circulation would get cut off. This pillow has solved the problem. It took some getting used to, and at first my neck and shoulders would be a little stiff in the morning, but that has subsided. Part of the trick is to be sure to move the pillow so the hole is below your ear rather than moving your head to match up to where the hole in the pillow is. The pillow also had an unpleasant odor the first 2 weeks but that is completely gone now. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pillow to anyone with a similar ear pain issue.
Really comfy, soft but supportive – I love this pillow.
I get severe pain in both ears when sleeping on either side. This pillow has totally eradicated the pain in my left ear, and and almost eradicated it in my right. Very happy with it.
It can also be slightly raised with the extra pads which are supplied, which would be useful for those that need it a bit higher.

I am in love with this pillow. I needed it because my current pillow was a tempurpedic pillow that was getting old and hurting my ear. So I tried several “ear hole” pillows. This one being the 3rd I tried and the last as I love it. It is so soft. I feel like I am laying on a cloud. The memory foam is softer then any I have felt but still supportive. I got the soft for me and the standard for hubby. I honestly can’t tell the difference but I haven’t slept on his only laid on it for a minute so maybe a whole night on it would show some difference. I highly recommend this pillow and the company is great, reaching out the day I received my pillows to make sure I didn’t have any questions and to offer free pillow cases one for each pillow. Who does that in this day and age? If you are on the fence about ordering it what do you have to lose? There is a 10 year warranty on these pillows. Plus a no questions ask return policy if you don’t like it.

I have a condition called Chondrodermatitis nodular helicis (CNH). It has plagued me for years. I am a side sleeper. It causes pain, inflammation, along the edge of my auricle from the pressure of the pillow on my ears. Be aware, I have spent hundreds of dollars on the finest of goose down pillows. I have had multiple surgeries to remove the inflamed cartilage, only to have it return within months. My sleep has been disrupted for years because of the pain. Finally, I looked online to try to find a solution and found this pillow.
I have never written a review before. However, because I feel so strong about this product I feel it is important to say something.
The first night when I laid my ear on this pillow it was unbelievably comfortable. It continues to be so after a few weeks. An unexpected bonus, is the relief from my neck pain and neuropathy in my arms because of degenerative disc disease. I awaken rested! This is a first for me after all these years of fitful sleep from the pain/pressure on my ears & neck! My head feels cradled in a anatomically correct position. The pillow seems to conform more naturally on a nightly basis.
So, buy this, for a good night’ sleep!

This item is ridiculously overpriced, but very comfortable. I bought it because I’m a side sleeper who needs a firmer pillow for neck support, but firm pillows cause a lot of pain in my ears, so the holes in this pillow are positioned perfectly for me. I couldn’t find anything else with a similar design.
The pillow itself is very soft and squishy, yet supportive, with a memory foam -like quality that is much nicer than other memory foam pillows I’ve tried. I’ve used it for six months and haven’t noticed any deforming.
If you need to relieve ear pain and can afford to invest in this, get it.

I have rated the product at 4 stars primarily because I have only used it for a couple of weeks. Several months ago I had cochlear implant surgery. In addition to the tiny electrode placed into the cochlea (inner ear) there is a small, flat titanium case and some tiny wires that lie under the skin and just above my ear. When sleeping on my side the pillow would push my ear against that component and cause ear pain. Also, the area around the metal plate would get very tender as well. This pillow eliminates those problems. I now rarely have ear discomfort. I bought the “soft” memory foam product and I get enough support so that my neck pain is also a bit better. The shape of the pillow takes some getting used to. Also, realize that this is not your nice and fluffy product that you sink down into like a down pillow. Its much more utilitarian. But I go to sleep and I’m not waking up with pain anymore.
I would always wake up with a severe headache in the back of my head and neck during the night. Then I could never get back to sleep. Also I sleep on my left side most of the time. Well, then I would wake up with my ear numb. The first night I used this pillow with no inserts. I slept sounder than I have in well over two years. The second night I used one insert and slept just as well. The third night I used both inserts but it made the pillow to high for me. So I plan to try no inserts again tonight and kind of think this will be the best for me. But it’s nice to be given the options to find the best for each person.
I have to admit it’s a little strange looking but for me it did the trick. I did not ever experience any smell from the memory foam as one reviewer mentioned.

I have CNH and I cannot recommend this product highly enough.I can only sleep on one side which has resulted in ear pain that has been keeping me awake at night.I can now get some sleep.It is well made and very comfortable.You can alter the height which is ideal for me as I also have neck problems.I wish I had found this product sooner.
With my ordinary pillow my ears were getting sore as the sound buds were pressing into my ears and causing sores.
With the pure comfort pillow I can wear my soundbuds pain free. Have used it the last two nights and it has solved the problem! Wish I had bought it sooner.

I couldn’t believe it. It was so comfortable the minute I laid my head on it. I got the soft pillow and added the 2 pillow inserts that come with it to boost the depth to help with the shoulder and neck issues I have. It was absolute heaven! I never go on like this in product reviews. Hey, I don’t usually write ANY reviews but if you are on the fence about buying this product, just do it. I woke up for the first time in years with zero ear pain and no neck or shoulder pain. What a wonderful product and I got a very nice email yesterday from the company offering help and an extra pillowcase for free. I really think this company is trying to give the best customer service out there. If you have an issue with the pillow, just notify them. Their goal is to make you happy. Maybe you need the firmer pillow or less inserts. They will work with you and I commend them for their wonderful service and product. FINALLY, a pillow that doesn’t hurt my ears! Thank you.
This review is going to sound too good to be true, but this pillow and the customer service is the best I’ve experienced! My hair stylist used to ask if I had a chronic infection on my outer ears because they were always red and irritated every time she cut my hair. I did not, the trouble was caused by my pillow no matter what I did. I also have a finicky neck, and was always trying different pillows, and combinations of pillows to feel comfortable and make my neck happy. Throughout every night I would constantly readjust my stack of shifting pillows-especially if I rolled over-which I did often because of discomfort. It was kind of a vicious cycle and a lot to manage while I was trying to get some good rest. I really did not want to try another pillow, but I did and it changed everything. Now with one pillow I quickly and comfortably settle into position on my side or back. I then fall to sleep for longer than I am used to in that position. If I do wake up and want to roll over it is not because of discomfort. On the side I was sleeping on, my neck, ear, and length of body have no pain. To roll over requires no pillow adjustment. I just nestle in on the other side and I’m off to sleep again until morning. No pain, kinks, or headache in the morning. The purecomfort side-sleeping pillow has a place of high honor as my one and only most favorite. I was contacted by customer service after I received the pillow, and follow up with them was considerate, fast, and efficient!
UPDATE: Still loving this pillow. Has maintained its shape and still the best pillow I’ve used. I am still waiting for the extra pillow case to come, but otherwise I’m still happy with the pillow and customer service.

I can’t tell you how satisfied I am with the customer service I received from PureComfort and its President Gina. First a word about the pillow – the memory foam is of high quality (will little smell) and the design is really smart. It’s comfortable to lay on whether on your side or your back. I’ve never been a fan of memory foam pillows, but this one is great.
Now on the customer service. I ordered the soft pillow and within 48 hours of receiving the pillow Gina contacted me offering me a free pillow case, which was so nice. When I accepted, she wrote back that she was out of stock on the pillowcases but would provide me with a 10% refund and then still send me a pillowcase when they were back in stock – incredibly nice. After sleeping on the soft version of the pillow for a few weeks, I realized that I probably needed a firmer pillow. I contacted Gina and she immediately sent me the firmer pillow without charge and without asking me to return the softer pillow. Many kudos to Gina and PureComfort – best customer service I’ve EVER received!
First this pillow so comfortablethe ear holes are perfect..just the right size. And the way they holes are encased in fabric means your ear is not up against the actual memory foam. The sides of the ear holes are very soft and just comfortable. At first I did not think I’d like the 2 ear holes, but I’ve found two ear holes means I don’t have to shift the pillow every time I turn from one side to the other. This results in less sleep disruption. The shape of the pillow is also well thought out. You can rest your arm and shoulder comfortably against and around this pillow
The pillow case is so soft and breathable and washable. I love the height adjustment feature which is easily done as the pillow case has zipper access for the inserts.
I’ve tried other pillows and have even made one up from part myself but this pillow is just a dream come true for those of us who suffer from ear pain while sleeping either because of pressure to the ear or some type of surgery.

Believe me, I don’t say this lightly – this is the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on. I have had 3 neck surgeries and am currently fused from C3 to T3 so a comfortable nights sleep is a rare commodity for me.
I have spent hundreds of dollars on pillows over the past 10 to 12 years and traveled for business for over 30 years so I have slept on my share of pillows. Like Goldilocks, they were too hard, too soft or just plain uncomfortable, I woke up most mornings with pain or numbness somewhere.
I stumbled on this pillow on Amazon and thought why not give it a try, the price is reasonable and I love the free returns on Prime. I accidently added two pillows to my cart and was a little frustrated with myself when they both arrived. However, that turned out to be a very happy accident because I was able to have one for home and keep the second in our RV because I don’t ever want to try to sleep without it.

I had been having pain in both ears for sometime and decided to google ‘pillow with ear holes’ not knowing if there was such a thing. Low and behold, there were several so I ordered what looked like the best of them. The Pure comfort looked well designed and had height adjusters with it. I have been very happy with it. I think it is a little soft but the risers give it some stability. I use both of them. I have not had any ear pain since using this pillow and really love it. They also have great support and sent me an extra pillowcase. I am concerned that there are tears where the ear channels are found but they don’t seem to be getting any worse. They promised that if they get bad they will send me a new pillow so they make good on their guarantee. You just have to be careful about how you handle it. Overall, I love this pillow and highly recommend it to anyone with ear pain.
I have been using the pillow personally for only a few days but I am loving it so far. The additional inserts are awesome for more support! I decided to use both for my pillow for additional support. It was simple to modify. Even the holes can be modified to be bigger if needed to.
The pillow was originally brought for my mother to use. She had explained how she wanted a pillow she had previously owned that came with a slight hollow. Of course, being me, i had automatically assumed it was one of these ear pressure relief pillows i had been eyeing to purchase. However, I was incorrect and so when this pillow arrived at my doorstep, she did not want it at all. Oh wells~ All fairs well as I decided to keep the pillow for my own devices and try out the product. Decided to keep it and see how well it goes for me and my precious noggin. Will decide in the next month or so if it is for me or not and return the item. But so far, I’m loving what i paid for~!

I have been searching and buying pillows for years only to never find a pillow that truly helps me sleep. I am a toss and turn side sleeper. This pillow is perfect for me with two ear holes perfectly setup for the toss and turn. I recommend if you have a soft bed to go with the soft version. If you have beds more on stuff side go for standard. The extra inserts was a godsend customize it for your shoulder width. I am 6’5 broad shoulder so full inserts worked for me. The pillow without adding the inserts works for my wife. I am so pleased with my purchase that this is my first review ever on amazon even though I have been purchasing on amazon since it first started oh so long ago. I researched every pillow on Amazon to help my CNH and this Pure Comfort pillow with the 2 large ear holes was the ONLY ONE that I considered. I have TMJ syndrome (chronic jaw pain) and did not know that I could ever have a nice, peaceful and painless night of good quality sleep, until I found this pillow. This pillow changed my life. I have near daily tension headaches/migraines and bought this hoping that keeping my neck straight would help. Boy, what a change! I have never been able to keep my ear on a pillow because I wake up with extreme ear pain, so I would be trying to rest my head on my arm or manually curve a pillow around my ear, only to have it moved at night and leave my neck completely unsupported. So thankful for this pillow. The company even reached out to see how I was liking it and provided me with an extra pillow case for free! The packaging came with some materials that made it clear that it would be easy to return it if I didn’t like it, but I definitely won’t be doing that. First review…It took a few nights to become adjusted to the pillow. I had been sleeping on a squishy pillow. I sleep on my right side and my ear fits just fine. I no longer wake in the night with ear pain. I thought I was the only person who experienced this until I went online.
I put a regular pillow case over the pillow. I do not use the two height adjustments that came with the pillow. I am 5.4″ and 122 lbs.
This pillow is AMAZING!! I had cervical spinal fusion many years ago and have struggled to find a pillow that didn’t leave me with shoulder pain or pain at base of my skull every morning. I’ve purchased no less than 2 dozen pillows over the years, every type of pillow imaginable but none of them provided proper support or comfort. sleeping pillow with ear “holes” does what it claims. First of all, it comes with a very “face-friendly” (no added sleep wrinkles!) pillowcase. Most companies don’t supply a case, and if they do, it is at an extra charge. The pillow case and the pillow are very soft. Old age or the arthritis has made my ears very sensitive. I would wake up with a red, swollen
and sore ear, depending on what side I slept. No more! I haven’t had the pillow very long, but, so far, it is the one
I think I’ll always love and reorder! The wonderful company staff follows up on your purchase and offers any help you
might need, and also offers another case as a gift. That is such a refreshing touch in this often cold and greedy

I have been diagnosed with TMJ which resulted in surgery. The gaps really reduce the pressure and I am only comfy side sleeping. This pillow and the company have been fantastic and truely worth the money with the quality and service thank you!
I might have gotten a defective one for so many 5 star ratings on here. I have had my pillow just under 60 days. Within the first few weeks, the pillow case developed a small hole on a seam and I thought it would hold up, but it has unraveled to the point I can barely use it now. I have reached out to the company and I will update accordingly, but for now, the price you pay isn’t really worth it for this particular pillow, in my opinion, since I would expect a pillow case to last at least 6 months, not get a hole in the first couple weeks.
As for the pillow itself, it’s super soft. With SMA, I lay in one spot all night and cannot turn myself. Having the ear cut-outs has been amazing and has taken pressure sores off my ears. The ability to adjust the height with the firmer bottom layers helps my shoulder when it starts hurting (again, cannot roll over myself). Overall, the pillow itself is amazing, just it seems cheaply made. I see other people talking about the company reaching out and offering them help after sales, but I didn’t get any info about after sales help.
Again, I’ve sent them an email asking for help on my case issue and if I hear from them, I will update this. If the case falls apart like mine, I would say look for another similar brand that doesn’t have this issue.
Edit: They reached out immediately and more than made up for the pillow case. I think I just got a faulty one, it happens. The company is Amazing!!!
I’m primarily a side sleeper and started developing neck pain when I switched to a new bed. I’m picky about pillows so already had several kinds to try but nothing was helping. I bought this one because it’s designed specifically for side sleepers (I’m skeptical of the ones that are supposed to be perfect for different sleeping styles) and I liked the idea of the ear hollows because I have a cartilage piercing on one side that frequently gets irritated when I sleep on it. This pillow had a mild out-gassing smell but that dissipated after about a day with no special action on my part other than taking it out of the plastic. I got the soft version, which is quite soft but still nicely supportive. The hollows for your ears are a good size (bigger than they look in the pictures), they’re large enough that they’re easy to find but small enough to feel fine if I end up with my ear on the edge instead of the middle. I really like the lack of pressure on my ears even on my side that’s not pierced, and I’m thrilled with how great my piercing feels since I’ve been using this pillow. I often move when I’m sleeping but the pillow is soft enough that it’s comfortable even when my piercing ends up outside of the hollow. I know this pillow is designed for side-sleepers but it also feels nice on the rare occasions I’m on my back too, nice balance between give and support. This is by far the best pillow I’ve ever used.
All this makes for an extremely comfortable pillow, but there’s more. I experienced something unexpected—a great night’s sleep. Because there is no tossing and turning all night to get comfortable, my sleep experience is deeper and so much more satisfying. I wake up feeling incredibly refreshed. It’s amazing. I didn’t realize how much the discomfort of a regular pillow impacted my sleep.
I highly recommend this pillow. The price may seem a little high for a pillow, but because of its benefits, I’d pay MUCH more than what they sell it for.
Bonus: because of the ear holes, I can fall asleep to music or a podcast with earbuds and not disturb my partner.
I have finally found the one for me. This pillow has been just what I need. It has taken a little getting used to, because it is so different than what I’ve ever had. However, it is so soft and the ear holes are big enough so that I don’t have to fight it to make sure my ears are positioned right. I thought it may be hard to find a good fit, but I toss and turn and love having ear holes on both sides. I actually sigh from sheer comfort and bliss when I lay my head on this pillow. No more ear pain! I can truly relax.
It is like sleeping on a super soft marshmallow. I like that I have the extra inserts, so that I can customize the height just for me. I’m very short, so I took out all but 1 insert and it fits me well.
I wish I had bought this one first! I would have saved so much money and would not have lost nights of sleep.
There is initially a foam smell, but this does honestly fade once it has had time to air out. This is expected from any foam product and has not been an issue for me at all.
I was contacted by the seller offering a free pillow case, as well as asking if I needed any assistance making sure I had no questions on how to customize the pillow. This pillow makes sense though. I can tell a LOT of thought and engineering went into this design. I thought it looked too thick in the pics, but the reviews and desperation made me give this a try. The foam has a bit of give, so it is much more comfortable that it looks.
There seems to be a genuine desire from the seller to make sure I’m pleased with my purchase.

Having had chronic ear pain for over a year, I have tried at least a half dozen pillows in an attempt to find one that could actually provide me with the support needed for pain free sleep. I have finally found it in this pillow. I have to say that I was a little skeptical when I took the pillow out of the box, it was unlike anything else I had tried to date. Made of memory foam, it’s shaped a little like a concrete block, with two deep recesses for ear relief. My skepticism pretty much disappeared after a few days however, when, after a bit of “tuning”, I was able to finally get a good nights sleep. Included with the pillow (which incidentally, had ZERO odor out of the box) are two height adjustment rings, which for me were critical in obtaining proper alignment so that my ear did not contact the sides of the pillow. This took a little time and effort to dial in, but the results were definitely worth it! This pillow is offered in two firmness levels, for me the softer version provided the correct amount of support. It is obvious that a lot of research and effort went into the design of this product, it may look unconventional, but don’t be put off by that, it is definitely not a gimmick! After my purchase, I received a follow up email from the company (as well as a complimentary second pillow cover) asking for my feedback, and also some helpful information. I could not be more happy with this pillow!
P.S. We recently discovered the custom pillow covers, and they’re great! They’re very soft, fit the pillows perfectly, and have the same ear pockets for total comfort.
I’ve had 2 major ear surgeries on one ear and 1 on the other. After receiving this pillow I slept on my side for the first time in 2 1/2 years. It’s made from luxuriously soft, supportive foam. The case is also very soft. After you receive your order the company will send you a second pillow case for free, which I thought was nice. It comes with 2 pads to adjust the firmness and height. The only drawback for me is that I have a long neck and it doesn’t quite fill up the space from my jaw to my shoulder. I rolled up one of the pads and stuck in the bottom of the pillow case. This makes it the perfect length and support for me.
Now that I can sleep on my side again I’m getting circulation and feeling back around my ears. I’m hoping this will fix the nerve pain I’ve got. Even if it’s a small amount, this pillow was worth every penny to be able to sleep in whatever position I want at night and not worry about laying on my ears and waking up in pain.
When I received the pillow I did remove the cover for washing and let the pillow air out for the first few days because there was a slight rubbery scent. So far have used this for a few nights and it’s been working out great! I have absolutely NO ear cartilage pain since sleeping on the wonderful pillow! I haven’t noticed an “pillow wrinkles” on my face either which is a big plus. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Purchased this pillow a couple of weeks ago. Could not be more pleased. I suffer from an ear pressure sore that has been very painful for over a year waking me up at night. I tried everything, from home remedies, to my Dermatologist who recommended cortisone cream to steroid cream, to freezing the area. She also recommended sleeping on a pillow with a hole in it to keep my ear elevated. I purchased 2 different pillows, but neither one worked and I still woke up at night in pain. Finally I found the Pure Comfort Pillow and I must say that finally this was the best purchase I ever made. This pillow is so comfortable and the best feature is it has two holes so you can turn over at night and keep the pressure off both ears. I very seldom write reviews about products, but I can honestly say I have been able to sleep all night without waking up in pain. And, the pressure sore it definitely on the mend. Once this pillow is back in stock, I plan to purchase another pillow to use for travel. If you suffer from ear pressure pain that has developed into a sore on the outside rim of your ear, I definitely recommend this pillow for you.
First thing I want to say is this I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and a jaw condition called TMJ which affects the left side of my jaw. This results in constant pain so I have a very hard time sleeping.
After trying numerous pillows over the years of all types; (memory foam, buckwheat, sidesleeping curved, etc) with no real improvement I gave up. I took over the counter sleeping medications which just make you groggy and suffered.
UNTIL I FOUND THIS PILLOW! My husband has breathing problems so we both decided to try it after reading all the information and reviews. His came first and after the first night he felt so much better in the morning than he has in a long time. I then ordered mine and can honestly say my neck, shoulders and jaw are much much better now. I even overslept a few times which is unheard of for me. No more medications and the old pillow are gone.

The pillow arrived well packed with 2 extra pads to increase the height of the pillow if needed. The pillow arrives with an included pillow case that zippers. The firmness of the pillow is perfect in the sense that it holds its shape well enough to keep your ear open in one of the two holes built into the pillow, yet soft enough to be comfortable. The pillow maintained a comfortable temperature all night. I woke up with absolutely no ear pain from the ear buds pushing into my ear. The two holes in the pillow maintained the shape all night.

In the past year or so I have purchased countless pillows in search of “the one”. I have tried everything from cheap poly-fil bargain pillows to $150 pillows from that three word Bed store. None have been the one that I fall in love with and are either uncomfortable from the start or quickly become something I hate instead of something I love. The side of my bed on the floor is littered with 6 different pillows that didn’t make the cut, but I would find myself waking up in the middle of the night desperately trying to get comfortable so I’d grab one to give another try.
I finally noticed that while sleeping on my side the main issue I was having is ear pressure pain. I searched Amazon and tried an odd pillow that was shaped like a “J” but with a hole for your ear. It was OK, but not great. I finally found this pillow and was hesitant at first due to the price
It turns out that the ear hole is perfect for me and the memory foam cradles my head as it warms to my skin’s touch. The height is perfect and the package even includes two additional shims should I need the pillow even higher. It’s great that the pillow is perfect even sleeping on my back.

I ordered this pillow and another one on a whim. I had little hope that there was a solution to my problem. the Pure Comfort pillow looked funny so tried the other one first but found no relief. After about 2 weeks I decided to try the Pure Comfort. The first night it was better than anything I have had in the past but it has continued to get better. I have the soft version. The 2 additional height adjusting shims are not necessary on my home mattress but I do use them in my motor home as the mattress is different. The ear holes are much larger than the pictures indicate. For the last 6 months I had developed ear pain, first on my left side, then on my right. Since I have been using the Pure Comfort the ear pain has vanished. I like this pillow so much that I recommended it to a friend that also has neck stenosis. When I saw him again I asked about the pillow and he beamed and said it worked great and he loved it. He bought the medium density version as he is younger and in better shape than myself.
This is an absolutely great pillow for anyone that has ear pain from sleeping on their side. My wife’s ear became pressure sensitive and when she slept on her ear all night it would hurt and occasionally cause the ear not being slept on to hurt. Presumably referred pain. In addition, she also developed a small lesion on one ear probably from a bug bite. The lesion was slow to heal because of the pressure from sleeping on the ear aggravated the lesion. The pillow eliminated the ear pain in both ears and after she started using the pillow the lesion healed rapidly. For anyone with ear pain from sleeping on their side this pillow is definitely a solution. Finally, My wife is very picky about what pillow she chooses to sleep on and she regards the pillow to be be quite comfortable. I should add that the seller Is very responsive and helpful. I don’t write a lot of reviews unless I feel strongly about a product and this pillow has been a game changer for ourselves. In fact, because the pillow has become essential to sleeping for my wife, I bought a second one as a backup.
