So far so good
As a wedding videographer audio is crucial for me. Had the previous version which was okay. But these dual channel ones are great. You can record 2 people (dual mono) which allows you to separate audio so you don’t need 2 transmitters. Also you can activate internal recording through the Rose App. Which is a great feature. It covers you for your camera cutting of. So far no issues and great features, highly recommended.
Longer than advertised charge time
They are alot smaller than I thought. Which is a positive as less weight and fit nicely into the little bag that came with. The Rode products you expect quality and this is no different. Good build and easy to use, however the instructions are very basic. Charge time advertised said 2 hours to charge, but took 3. This may be just the first charge so will see. The receiver didn’t want to charge at first, but after a firmware update it soon started to charge.
Installing the Rode software on the pc opened up features and settings you can’t change on the device without. Which, the instructions (like I said very basic) didn’t even tell you about. Why hide useful features?
Sound quality is very good and the range between TX and RX is more than you will need. I went 50 meters away and still worked, without any loss or crackling sounds.
Pain! The wind shield is a nightmare to fit as they are so small – but on a positive note you get two of them AND a nice case to carry it all in. Cables all supplied too which is good.
Happy? So far yes, but as I said you would expect to from Rode.
I received the item, but there was NO user manual, not even a quick guide.
My unit paired once then failed to pair.
I spent the next two hours trying to pair it. Looking through several youtube videos but to no avail. I even tried updating firmware and running a diagnostic by connecting it to my PC.
Just as I was about to give up and return the item for a refund – I pressed both unit’s buttons together at once – voila it paired!
This troubleshoot should be written front and centre in a quick guide inside the package!
I suspect many of the one star reviews was a result of this.
I would’ve left one star if I failed to work out how to pair it using above troubleshooting.
So Rode…PLEASE, just put in a quick guide + troubleshooting into the package of all the most common problems.
Ideal for recording yourself or two others on your ow
These microphones are ideal for recording yourself or two others on your own. They are small enough to be discreet and the sound quality is excellent. I use these to record two actors when filming short films.
Perfect sound quality
Love these mics! Great quality and easy to use. Lots of great YouTube videos out there to help especially with the unpairing issue it can sometimes have but it’s easily fixed. Best mics around especially for what I do- video journalism. Very impressed with quality. Just wish they weren’t as expensive
Rode has the name and the reputation, so overall you can’t go wrong with the brand. They’ve done a great job with this mic and have put efforts into improvements since it came out. I like that you can update the software/firmware (when attached to a Laptop/PC), which many of the other similar mics do not do. This mic also has more settings to adjust than many of the similar ones on the market (many of which have to be done while plugged in to a computer with the RODE software installed).
I will comment on a few downsides:
1) While many competitors come with a strong hard case, Rode has gone cheap in that area and just includes a soft little bag. You have to purchase a hard case separately if you want one (which you most likely will if you want to keep your device in good condition). By skimping on this area, Rode has not quite provided a winning mic in all areas.
2) Higher price than many similar mics. Yes, it’s a good quality mic, but to the untrained ear, the recording sound quality is pretty similar to mics that are about 100 cheaper (I have one of those too). It would probably take a sound expert to really notice any difference, which makes you wonder if the extra 100 is worth it, especially if you’re on a tight budget. I’m sure there is a difference, it’s just not really noticeable to most ears.
3) The Rode does not come with a Lavalier (tie mic). You have to purchase this separately. Again, many of the slightly cheaper competitors DO come with an included Lavalier. So. Rode has once again skimped here, to give you the basic bare bones product minus the accessories that most people are going to want, so will need to purchase as additional costs.
4) The included Rode cables are just about as short as you can get away with. Really Rode? You couldn’t spare an extra 20cm of cable? I guess you’re cutting costs again to keep the price of the mic within range of it’s competitors. When I bought a similar mic from another company (which was cheaper), I got multiple (longer) cables…. which included USB C and USB cables, as well as lightening all in the pac with the mic. With Rode, you just get the USB B (3 of them, since there’s 3 devices) and have to fork out extra money for any other cables with different fittings.
I guess Rode wanted their mic to come across as not too expensive, so provided only the bare bones… while slightly cheaper competitors provide all the extras too (and longer connection cables).
Having added in my thoughts on the negatives and Rode skimping on what comes in the pack, I will still affirm that this is a good quality wireless Mic which you can plug directly into a laptop, instead of needing a sound desk to send your sound through. So, it’s useful, portable and makes life simpler. Good mic, good system…. could do with including more extras without upping the price (since it’s already higher than competitors, who all managed to include the extras).
A sound alternative to more expensive ki
I was very impressed after buying the original GO, so I decided to upgrade to the GO II and keep the original as a standby. Since then, I’ve been quite evangelistic about these, and I’ve noticed that now some of my professional colleagues have started carrying these around instead of the top-brand wireless packs they used to use. There must be a good reason for that.
I am so happy guys very good Rode Mic
Excellent sound reproductio
I have several different makes of wireless lavalier setups this one being the most expensive and the best I mainly use this for sound on my camera and recording ambient sound.
It’s small hold its charge well and is excellent quality as you would expect from Rode.
I’m impressed by the quality of sound recorded out of these devices. You can be quite a distance from your home base also. Even around walls. If you want to make a movie or tv show. Even just your own cooking show or vlog. Essential part of the magic of making movies

The mics are great and very convenient being that they are such a compact package. Only problem was an electric buzzing when I first plugged them into my sony zv1. I tried a whole lot of things to fix this but it turns out all you have to do is turn your ZV1 on airplane mode.
I can hear You..!
Can’t understand why we at St John Church waited so long to acquire these fabulous wireless microphones.
The sound is clear and crisp, the range is excellent.
The battery life seems to last well, only time will tell.
When the transmitters are first turned on-they startup in the mute mode even though the two blue operation lights are both illuminated.
You have to be cognizant of this step and press the unmute button to have the microphones operational.
We are sure we made the right decision to purchase RODE microphones and the Parishioners continue to enjoy this new acquisition.
Totalmente recomendable.
Love these!
Great sound and the battery seems to last forever.
Wish they where smaller like the DJI microsphone, but hey.. They are a lot cheaper than the DJI
Worth the money!
My best GoPro add-on purchase!
I loved it! I use in Church evry Sunday, it works perfecly fine. Highly recommended
Do melhor!
Super recomendado.
With only minor EQ and a Comparator this system sounds great – Otherwise and depending how you mount to Tx Mic it can sound a bit ‘Muddy’.
Easy to setup, both Tx & Rx units come Paired and ready to go. Great USB Mic for a PC. I’m not using them for all my YouTube tutorials and Video calls.
Best Mics Eve
I bought these to interview big names at conferences. Paired it with the Interview Go Microphone stick!!!
Sound is amazing. I probably would also get a lav to attach to them eventually. But these paired with the Interview Go…. brilliant!
Buenisssssimo!
Pienamente soddisfatto.
Wirless go II
Now using Rode single wireless mic & need a dual wireless mic for my 2 speakers so bought it through my videography trainer, Adrian Lee's recommendation. Tested, so far so good!

Top !!!
An awesome product and awesome design. Super easy to use. USB chargeable. 7 hours of internal recording. Lots of settings given the size and lack of buttons. Can record two discrete channels which is a game changer for solo operators. Problem is that the Sony A7S3 audio shielding is not powerful enough to block out the GO II’s signal. As a result there is near constant interference. Rode and Sony both could not solve this issue after much discussion with their support departments. There is a Reddit thread dedicated to the problem. It’s unfortunate that I’ve never been able to use the mics outside of testing.
I couldn’t get one of the mics to connect to the receiver. I will likely do an exchange.
Side-note:
Instructions for connecting to cellular devices (Apple) are not clear, which probably isn’t an issue for an experienced individual.
This is an extremely impressive product that has met or exceeded all the manufacture’s claims for their product and my high expectations, except for one big problem that is now solved: product reliability. After two weeks of use, one of the two wireless transmitters in this product froze hard and could not be reset (it became completely non-responsive and stopped working while stuck on). Thankfully, Amazon’s standard product support stepped up to the rescue (I did not purchased Amazon’s extended warranty). To my amazement, I reached a product support specialist within 2 minutes and presto! Amazon sent me a replacement at no charge which arrived the next day. All’s well that ends well! I continue to be very pleased with this tiny and oh-so-useful and powerful sound system.
This is a great professional grade wireless audio system for my mirrorless digital camera. It can easily pick up voice hundreds feet away. The sound quality is crystal clear. It is like the difference of black and white comparing the on-camera mic.
The advanced features of the Wireless Go II is probably an overkill for me, but it is very convenient to set everything up from my phone with RDE Central app.
If you are looking for an audio upgrade of your camera, phone, and PC etc., this is the one you should get without a deep learning curve.
Amazing value for money
These microphones are amazing value for money. Great sound quality from something so small. Definitely recommend. Only slight downside is the price of the cable to attach to an iphone which is definitely overpriced for what it is. Come on Rode, make your accessories a little bot more affordable
Mics
Great mics and copmpacy and easy to use, will be in bag always
These are useful to more than videographers and photographers
We are SO impressed with these little mikes that we are considering breaking our duck and doing our first vlog describing how fantastic they are.
We are a live event, DJ, event management, event decorating and production business. So kind of seen the video and photo people coming along with these little mike sets and laughed that they are obviously not “proper”.
So eventually we succumbed and got our first set last week and have already used them twice.
They are incredible. So versatile. Have reasonable quality and can even be used directly into a live mixing desk or recording setup.
There is a lot to these little mikes. So let me give you just the highlights.
– they really work at 200 metres line of sight and have a great range even where there is lots of other 2.4GHz traffic
– they are tiny and can be made even tinier by using the Rode Lavalier Go – we bought a white and a black one
– the transmitters can record without any connection to the receiver. Just standalone recorders. They can also record when the receiver is connected to avoid any loss of audio if you are going to use the result in post production rather than live.
– they charge fairly quickly from pretty much any USB charger (B or C)
– there is free software available on teh Mac and PC to fully control all the options for both the transmitters and receivers. This software also facilitates getting the recordings from the transmitters to the big bad world ready to go into Premier Pro or the like.
– there is also software to make them work with iPhones but BEWARE that is not straightforward and you need a certified apple cable that supports Audio over the lightning connector. Rode make a couple of different types of these cable but they are currently out of stock.
– the receiver can be plugged into not only your video camera but also into a mixing desk, focusrite, DJ controller and many more places. It is of course not giving you a “proper” XLR connection but you will have to use a TRS mini jack to XLR or similar cable. But …. it works!
– the quality is fine – they are not up there with the higher end lapel mike systems, but for most corporate/wedding event production they are perfectly adequate.
So, for just over 300 plus another 100 for a pair of lavaliers and maybe 50 for a case and extra cables you will end up with a VERY useful addition to your audio line up which can be used for live work, video blogging, livestreaming, ad hoc recording and even note taking when with a client.
AMAZING
Thanks Rode. I thought you were all about teh NT and NTG ranges of mikes and these were just “toys”. I was very wrong.
– they are small enough to keep in your pocket or if packed in a case, in your laptop case. If ever you “forget” your Shure SM58 wireless for example then these can fill in. If there is a last minute request to “record” the speeches then you can at least get broadcast quality audio which you can later match up with a mobile phone video or small format video camera. Which in emergencies is probably more than good enough.
Criticisms:
Of course we can criticize these when comparing to more expensive pro live equipment and some people have not liked the fact that you have to take recordings from teh transmitters one by one and label them after they land in the computer pre production. Some do not like the fact they are rechargeable and you cannot take spare rechargeable batteries (but they last at least 5 hours continuously on). Some do not like the fact that they are not really smooth with the iPhone and you have to have the “special” Rode cable. we have even seen criticisms about having to get separate USB charger(s). we have also seen some criticisms about teh headroom on the signal being such that they do not do well for loud recordings. This is all true and largely insignificant. In fact there are legitimate workarounds for pretty much all of this.
All these things can be got around.
We are looking to try one of the Go 2 customer chargers that can store and charge all three components whilst out in the field without ANY other power.
We will definitely be buying more of these kits next week and are looking forward to being able to improve our services to our clients and third party suppliers.
Never lose an audio recording.
Never be caught short without a mike.
Dont give up quality to keep these things in check.
Thanks Rode. You are great. AGAIN.

Ronzio - Ronzio - Ronzio
Ronzio.
Comprehensive good quality radio mics
For the price these are excellent and very well thought out. A lot of features and very handy option to control parameters by Mac /PC or phone when on the road. The 7 hour ‘broadcast quality recording within each transmitter is very handy and a good back up in case of signal drop out, ditto the safe level back up recording.
Updating software was very easy and fast. They do indeed have good range as described. The noise levels are very acceptable when properly set up with the camera.
My only criticism is there is no ‘handbook’ to download print and take away, which is a real mistake. There are lots of online videos of how to use, but as control of the units is via multiple presses of few buttons, remembering what to do is somewhat haphazard if you only use them once in a while. The ‘get you started sheet’ which accompanies them on delivery is very basic and gives no clues to what they can do other than fitting to camera/pc etc.
All that said they are easy to use and have good sound quality. I have tested using other external mics plugged into the transmitters and they handle them well.
All round excellent, well thought out kit for the price.

Was ich mir wnschen wrde:
–
Perfect!
The product arrived safely and on time. Worked excellently with no hassle. I am really enjoying it.
Ergnzung: seit gestern 16.03.2022 neues Software-Update installiert.
Absolute saviour for event work
What more can I say really, it’s versatility is amazing. You can walk up to a subject and just place this discreet mic on them. It’s saved me at some recent events! Great buy worth it!
Excellent radio mic system
The Wireless Go II is east to use and delivers great quality sound.
Very impressive, sound quality amazing
Purchased these after we used ride wireless go, & found that we needed two external microphones.
Simple to install. Take out of box, charge, plug in receiver, & turn on microphones & they just work. Perfect for merging two sound channels into single stream.
Quality of sound is amazing in comparison to internal / built in microphones on cameras. Provides professional quality sound over built in microphones.
Now have perfect sound quality for church mass live streaming.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Only one down side which is instructions on how to mute / unmute microphones could be much clearer. Ended up having to Google it.

Great microphones
Rode are a well know brand and these mics are great, the look the feel the quality everything is great,I love them.
Before I start this review, I have read a few of the other reviews and felt that, if you are wanting to use this kit for your endeavors, you will need to understand your set up. Effectively, the difference between a TRS and a TRRS Jack.
A TRS jack is the standard style jack with 2 black rings around them, they can be used for earphones and dedicated mics. A TRRS jack has 3 black rings and can be used as both a mic and and earphone.
Most Laptops, Macbooks and mobile phones will have the one input for the machine and so it is ok to assume that the jack supports TRRS.
But this is where the Wireless Go falls, as the patch cable given is designed for the high end camera market, where the mic jack is dedicated, hence they will use TRS. To get this to work with a single jack product, you will need the SC7 patch kit (pictured)
If you are happy to use this set up, then that is all you need, the Rode mic on the wireless go is sufficient for you to record with. Albeit if you have a USB-C only input like my phone has, you’ll need a USB-C to 3.5 Jack module (Example pictured). I was told with my Samsung that only the official version works, but I found that not to be true.
Things only get complicated if you want to use your own lavalier mic. Most lavalier mics will be TRRS, which means you will need the SC3 adaptor to plug into the transmitter (pictured).
However, whilst I purchased the official Rode Patch cables and adaptors, you don’t have to, I found you can use the patch cable supplied with the unit, a split mic/headphone cable for mobile phones and a fairly cheap USB-C adaptor (pictured).
Hopefully those solutions will help you get your particular setup running first time.
As for the unit itself, I feel that it is well worth the money once the initial fiddling and setting up for your particular setup is done. I have not tested the range, but as I wanted to use this for unboxing videos and standing piece to camera for my You Tube channel, I needed something where I wasn’t wired to my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, as I was moving around in front of camera.
This system has shown to be perfect for that need and therefore, for me, is Five star,
So, why the dropped star? Whilst I applaud the minimalist approach to packaging, I think, as this is aimed at the smaller production unit/one person production price range, they really needed to explain about TRS and TRRS. Rode is a pro mic company and I think in this case they may have dropped the ball in their communication about the product.
Plus, knowing what I know now about TRS and TRRS, whilst I understand that the patch cable in the box is TRS for the cameras that use it, not knowing about the TRRS separate patch cable until I was trying to troubleshoot is Rode’s fault totally, there should have been (at least) extended product manual with the pack.
That been said, as most decent Lavalier mics are TRRS, having the adaptor into the transmitter be TRS is puzzling to say the least.
So if you are looking at this and the Wireless Go 2 is well out of your price range (like it was mine), hopefully you will know the extra stuff you need to set up.
Cameras and Deskstop/high end laptop PCS can use TRS (The pink jack).
Mobile Phones, Laptops and Apple Products use TRRS.
If you are patching to a sound recorder, can’t help you there. 🙂
As long as you understand your connections, this kit is absolutely brilliant.

Great microphone
I bought the synco first.
Used it for video recording on my phone. Not upto scratch, so bought this, no problems at all. Kind of wished I bought the rode first.
a good sound
I have tried the cheaper synco mics and have returned them and instead bought this one. I had two versions of synco both stopped working within days so I do think its worth paying more for rode. However there are areas the cheaper model did better.
With this rode mic – you get a transmitter, receiver, sound muffs x2, usb wires to charge x2, a fabric pouch.
The fabric pouch is small and while it’ll hold the transmitter and receiver fine, you cannot fit everything in it. Synco had a bigger hard case that fit everything so I wish rode had done similar.
The rode mic comes with a wire to attach to the camera, but for me my camera doesnt have audio jack so I needed a wire for my laptop. The rode mic didnt come with this, but fortunately I realised this after ordering and only had to wait a day for my TRRS to TRS wire to arrive. Once this adapter arrived and I plugged it in, the rode mic worked straight away with no problems.
I tested the mic walking around my apartment and it didnt cut out at all. In places you can hear my breath but I should be able to fix that in post. The sound is really clear and better quality sound than the synco (which wasnt bad). Well the rode works so thats a start.
The instructions with the rode are very minimal. I had to do research to find the adapter I needed to buy for the laptop. BTW this wire came with the synco so no extra cost with that.
All in all while there are areas rode fall down with this, the quality of sound is fantastic for the price and thats what matters. The synco was attractive at half the price but its good to no one is the system is faulty (two versions broke on me in days). Its early days with the rode but i have higher hopes.
Is it worth the money? So far, yes.
Just amazing!
I simply can’t believe the negative reviews around the Go 2. Paired with my GoPro 9, the sound quality is breathtaking. Simples. There is also so much you can do to tailor the exact sound you want and even more flexibility when editing through the Rode Central app. Not the new kid on the block but with so much experience in this field, stick with their history and experience; go with the Rode. It’s an absolute game changer.

Using a macbook pro 2019 to run OBS with Rode Wireless Go II input via usb-c works great. I tried a few combinations using the audio cable that came with it – this cable works fantastic to add another mic to input into one of the wireless transmitters, but not so good to use for the receiver. I have tried the other Rode audio cables and found non that work so great connected to the receiver but the usb-c connection (WOW) that sounds great. Its a bit of trial and error, but the microphones work incredibly well for the price. I was recording a church session with one mic on the Deacon and the other in the Church for the participates. The Deacon walked out of site, into the back of the Church (behind a few walls) and the recording continued to pick him up.
I word of caution if your getting into wireless mics like these, remind the user that they are wired and everything they say is being recorded even if they go into the bathroom….
good quality
good quality and professional level, just only more expensive than other brands
Good product but….
I own a few of these and they do preform very well indeed. However with this last purchase the unit had a fault. I contacted Rode tech support and they confirmed there was a issue with one of the transmitters. So I returned it to Amazon. Over all, with all the units I have I have to say they work very well, I guess it was just bad luck for me on this occasion, but Amazon’s no messing about returns policy made it easy to return.

A handy pouch even comes with them
Had the one. This is even more useful. You can even record podcasts with it.
Rode Wireless Go2
One of the best quality sound recordings mics I have ever used. Indoor and outdoor quality is very professional. The price 2 microphones and 1 receiver you ant go wrong.
Great cost effective wireless microphone
Works well for my purpose of streaming video and audio into a blackmagic design Atem mini pro.
I also got the lav microphone separately to this purchase but it also works well using internal microphone. Internal Batteries last a long time.
I’ve now used this kit at four weddings and I have to say it’s superb! Audio is good and clear. It really is excellent value for money too. It’s a bonus too that the transmitters record the audio as backup. Furthest away I’ve had the receiver is about 75m and the audio was great. Would highly recommend!
The product was new and well packed. Rode worked straight out of the box. I would advise everyone to download software from the Rode website and then connect each device one by one to the computer using the attached cable USB-C-USB-A. Why? I did so and immediately new update popped out and I downloaded it. This is why is important to connect each device separately because each one requires its own update.
The software also gives us a lot of information about battery status and more. I did not do play with it setting in there. All I did was charging them.
I will write how I use it and how it works.
They are very light, but when you teach dance online and wear a t-shirt, it might be not so comfortable.
I bought a long time ago cheap lavelier mic Audio-Technica. I didn’t expect it will do the job very well.
My wife uses a laptop and it was always a problem for students on the other side of the globe to hear her when she was a bit away from the computer. With Rode Wireless Go II one doesn’t need any more special cables to connect to the computer. The attached USB-C-USB-A cable is enough. Rode will be immediately recognized and ready to rock’n’roll. We use Cisco Webex Meeting Live and it works amazingly well. In the Webex, you choose in setting the mic to “Wireless Go 2” and Voila!
( I would like to add here that the Rode receiver connected via USB will be always self-charging ).
Now her students in the studio hear everything super good regardless of distance from the computer. There is no need to buy external speakers for the laptop in the studio as we initially thought to do. Thanks to Rode.
Also, I thought to buy an older version because it was cheaper and I thought having 2 mics is unnecessary. I’m glad that I paid 100 euros more and bought a new model. First, no need for more cables to use with pc for live stream, and secondary we had already a case that one mic run out of battery during the lesson. What you do then? Grab fully charged another mic, turn it on and continue. Simple like that.
In the end, I want to add that I was afraid to connect and charge directly to electrical contact. I couldn’t find any answer on this subject, so I took a plug from my iPhone and tried. It worked and nothing blew up.
I have not tried outside yet.
I hope it helps you to decide on the purchase.
Superb bit of kit for Sony zv1
I’ve tried a few mics on my Sony camera but this beats them all. If you don’t mind the little transmitter box in view on your blouse/shirt etc then it’s all you need. Don’t bother with the extra plug in lavelier mic – just use the transmitter unit with its built in mic – the quality is unbeatable, nice crisp clear high end and rich warmth to lower range . Highly recommended

Audio quality superb, range and battery life less so
Really the headline says it all. I live in a rural area so can check the line of sight range easily. It says 80 metres – they jest, say 40 metres to be 100% sure, further than that, especially with traffic and buildings is unreliable. Of course I may have a faulty unit? Annoying I can’t connect this to a phantom powered camera and use he power to keep the RX charged, I am making up a converter plug to connect. Battery life is NOT 7 hours unless units are side by side. 4 or 5 hours is more reasonable. Charges slowly, perhaps 3 hours or so.
Would I buy again? Certainly the sound quality sells it to me and the small TX makes hiding it easy.
Questions?

It’s Rode, say no more
Another impressive product from rode with the added bonus of backup recording. Can’t fault these for reliability and sound quality
Rode Wireless Go : V good mic with iPhone & YouTube
Super wee thing. Worked well out of the box. Worked better when I learned how to use it. Turn the recording volume down from max. Would recommend. Good battery life. Quick recharge. Decent range. Good audio YouTubing with an iPhone. Good solid ‘clipping on’ to a lapel.
Well worth their price
Good sound, sensitive pickup and no dropout issues so far. Using within a church as backup mic for presenters that can’t stay behind the fixed mics, or turn round to comment on something on the screen behind them (rather than look at the monitor in front of them). 30m range and fine, so not anticipating any issues outside, beyond my one niggle – the fur windshields supplied won’t stay in place. Don’t need them inside but may need use use my Smartlav and its well attached windshield outside; not a major problem, though.

Great Mic + RODE & Amazon go the extra mile
Bought RODE Wireless Go on basis of recommendations (quality of performance and ready to go out of the box)
My order didn’t work: mic to receiver – yes: but receiver to iPhone 8+ ‘not a peep’. Phoned RODE office in London to check if it was user error (No I hadn’t forgotten you need a different SC7 cable for iPhone – annoying though it is that you do!) RODE Engineer said Faulty send it back we’ll replace it & here’s a form if you need it – that’s top customer service. But Amazon wanted to go one better when I called them ….. Julius (shout out for him) apologised that I was having a problem, ordered a replacement while we were talking and sent me details for the return by carrier.
You probably guessed it – Replacement worked ‘out of the box’ – It’s a 5* review from me AND 5* too for customer service by RODE and Amazon. Thank you. M

I bought this even though i bought the rode wireless go… i keep that as a backup now… these do everything i wanted the first one to do… but mainly because i can use these for one on one interviews
Only negative is that it does not come with the sc15 cable needed for iphone connectivity but… thats a minor thing 5 STARS
Nice upgrade
Works well, previously bought cheaper products but they had terrible sound and were no match
sound quality and noise suppresio
sound quality is very good and also there is not much background noise it will depend where you going to use it.
i wish the that furry thing what you put on/top of the microphone that would be some different way to attach it as it falls down time to time..
Yessss
Fabulous, clever, works with everything.brilliant build quality. All they need to produce is a four mic system.
No issues whatsoever.out of the box just works. Before you use it ,try everything.Get to know it like the back of your hand.Use a small power-bank for extra life if going to use it over the guaranteed usage time.
Just brilliant, simple and convenie
A great little wireless microphone and receiver. Simple to connect to all kinds of equipment – have used it with Android phones, desktop PCs all the way though portable sound recorders up to analog and digital mixing desks. I keep it in a small pouch with both the transmitter and receiver, and can take it along whenever I need to plug into an amplifier or PA when lecturing, or recording video or audio narration.
Lovely digital quality, good user interface showing battery levels and audio signal. Now I just need to save a bit more to buy the twin pack for those times when I need to interview someone and for them to have their own microphone. USB C charging too, which means it uses the same as all the rest of my kit, so only have to carry one type of cable.

Compact wireless microphone kit - good sound quality over a good distance
Brilliant idea to make the clip double-up as a camera mount. The microphone clips onto the flash-gun mount on top of most cameras.
Very good sound quality with adjustable gain.
Receiver has small screen showing battery state of BOTH it and transmitter – nice design.
Can use more than 1 transmitter/receiver pair on a shoot.
Battery-life very good on 1 charge at about 5 hours.
Very pleased with them.
Pricey, I think, but you get what you pay for.

On top of the amazing features, portability and quality of the first model, Rode have added onboard recording and the latest firmware update allows recording when not connected to the receiver. This means you can go out with just the 2 mic/transmitters and they will record onto their internal memory for later retrieval on the new Rode Central App. They can either record for 7 hours at broadcast quality or 46 hours normal quality.
And of course, the biggest advantage is there are now two transmitters so recording interviews is now possible.

Easy to use and offers amazing sound quality for its size and price
For quick and easy very good clean audio at low budget and prosumer level these are excellent.
Making community video about 12months of Covid, and I began in Lockdown 3. Interviewees are understandably reluctant to meet in enclosed spaces or get too close. Allowing them to clip the transmitter mic on themselves and off we go has made the impossible possible. Currently have interviewed over 40 people and the sound has been pretty good on every single one. Especially as I have had almost no control of the environments we are shooting in.
I believe the GO II is even better.
Check your sound balancing
Really nice bit of kit which works for a film i am making which is mostly static . The only thing i cant seem to do is monitor the input even though the level indicator is good it would be nice to hear the audio being recorded. It just works. Connects everytime – very good pick up and response – they seem to have fixed the wobbly ‘mic cover’ issue …they are still a bit expensive but work very well so worth i

Almost there
Great sound quality, battery life and it is small, but the windshield for the built-in mic is too fiddly and comes off too easily.
The mic will charge when it is on but it is not possible to use it like this as there is very loud buzzing when it is connected to a power source.
It would have been nice if the case was a little bigger so it would accommodate the mic, windshields and cable without so much of a squeeze.
Bestest value and flawless operatio
This product is almost perfect.
-Good engineering
-flawless operation
-space saver
-head-ache free
I have been trying to find out to write a something negative to balance the review however, couple of weeks try and still couldnt find any negative side yet.
Big Sound from a Tiny Package
I have the Rode Filmmaker and Shotgun mics and was recently introduced to the Rode Wireless Go kit from a video producer we work with. They’re a superb solution that avoids lots of training wires around your subject, just allowing the tiny combined mic and transmitter unit to be clipped on to clothing (Rode also do a magnet set for attaching if required). The Transmitter unit also has a mini jack socket if you wish to attach an external mic instead of the built in one, such as a lav mic or for using a shotgun on a boom without the trailing cables.
The Receiver unit is the same size but contains a small OLED screen giving status of connection, battery and mic level. The unit slides on to a camera hotshoe and there’s a mini jack socket output on the side, with short cable (TRS) in the box for hooking up to your camera’s mic input.
The units pair instantly out of the box and connection seems to be good so far in tests. We used for approx five hours and battery level was just under half, so these seem like they’d last a day of use.
Having been a big fan of Rode products for over twenty years, I’m not surprised that these are excellent audio quality for a great price, but this unit exceeded my expectations – this set punches well above its weight given the price and ingenuity of the kit.
