This Retractable Baby Gate is great! Nice quality! Very easy to install! This is great for we have a little boy crawling and walking around. Nice and sturdy! Good value for money
Good but could be bette
Firstly this gate comes with no instructions which is frustrating but as long as you are good at house maintenance then you can simply work out what goes where etc.. You attach the gate to both sides of the door frame and then the gate material hooks over creating the retractable gate. The reason I have this is for my dog, it seems to be working at the moment but I do feel that over time my dog will be able to push under the gate as the material is slightly flimsy and allows there to be a small gap which he can push his face through. Having said that he hasn’t actually managed to get past the gate yet but I don’t really have the confidence in this gate that I would like. So it does fit and work but I feel it could be slightly better.

Great to install quick and easy using instructions provided. Love how this can be locked when closed. Great for fur babies too when you don’t want them in a certain room.
Only problem that scares me is my toddler opened it and let go resulting in the Stair gate retracting back at speed.
Keeps the puppy from getting up stairs
Got this to put at the bottom of the stairs to stop the puppy going up and getting stuck at the top. Was easy to install, sturdy and easy to open and close.
Good quality gate
This upgraded design baby/dog gate is a great and far less space taking alternative to usual gate.
Super easy to install, it took us around 20-25mins to unpack and install in the hallway. I like the nice sleek design and the fact that this gate doesn’t take up lots of space due to being retractable.
It is easy to use, you just grab the handle at the top pop it across and attach and that’s it, when you want it open you unhook it and let the mechanism roll back the fabric.
Quite surprisingly sturdy in design, this gate is looking nice, especially in nice grey colour. It is surprisingly sturdy for a fabric gate and I didn’t expect it to withstand my dogs jumping up at it but it did.
Good value for money and excellent design. Love it.
Perfect for keeping our 1 year old out of the kitche
Because my home has an open kitchen without doors, I had to buy such a fence to prevent babies from entering the kitchen.
The installation is very simple, there is no need to hire the professional, and the baby will not have the risk of get into kitchen when nobody is watching .

Simple solutio
This baby gate is more versatile than the metal style ones. It retracts away when not in use so you aren’t left with a bar like with the metal ones which I find are a trip hazard. Another plus is that baby can’t stick arms and legs through with toys and get stuck (momentarily anyway).
This gate can be used indoors or outdoors and it says it’s safe for stairs also. There is a choice of colours, we had the black gate which has a Matt finish. The framing feels very solid and sturdy. I have another brand retractable gate which was quite expensive but I actually prefer this model- the bracket for the wall is not in multiple parts- my previous one was always pinging off the wall despite following instructions but we have not had that problem with this model.
The dial to turn to release the gate is also easy to use and not as fiddly as another model.
Instructions are informative, in colour and easy to follow. Simple solution without the hassle of fitting that some do.

For the last two years we had problems with neighbour’s cat. He comes inside our house and we needed to keep the door closed in the hotest summer days.And now we found the decision. It is extreamly easy to fix and use. During the winter period we took it of because we keep the door closed.
Very convenie
This retractable gate is very useful. I use it to keep my pets out of my living room when we have guests and it works great. It is really sturdy yet lightweight enough and easy to pull out every time. Installing isn’t too hard and it looks nice with the simple dark design. It is much more convenient than a traditional bulky baby gate in my opinion. Worth the money overall and great quality.

Quality safety gate
This is a nicely made and easy-to-use stairgate.
I’ve used it in between my living and dining room, as there’s an arch but no door. The great thing about this type of gate is that when it’s not in use it takes up very little real estate, and there’s no bar to trip on.
The gate works well, and is easy to use one-handed, I wouldn’t personally use this at the top of the stairs but struggle to articulate why, that might just be me preferring a rigid gate in that scenario.

It looks well made & durable. It is quite sturdy too. Can be opened and closed easily with one hand.
Sold at 48.99 at the time of this review which I find quite pricey.
Perfect for keeping dogs off beds
We have installed this at the bottom of the stairs to keep our pups from sneaking upstairs and onto the beds! I like that it doesn’t take up much room and it’s easy to operate with one hand! So far so good

It is about 86cm tall and retracts up to 150cm.
It has so many applications at home, but we put it in our bedroom doorway to keep our dog out of it. It works well. Very easy to open/close even using one hand.

Quality gate ,not the best for stairs.
As you may have already noticed ,I have a dog and a tot that I need to keep safe from running .
I used to have normal iron gate on my stairs ,however not once I have found my toddler foot stuck in between the gate’s lines.
Also ,my gate is a pressure gate so it would need a lot of pressure to keep it still ,but even like that it felt so many times ,so it was a dangerous thing to have.
Seeing this gate I though that it would be more suitable and friendly ,yet keeping secure both my toddler and my pet.
However ,there is one thing which has put me down.
That is the size of the fitting it comes with .
It is way much larger than the stair pillar width so I won’t be able to fix it to the pillar .
The only option is to use he largest fitting side on to the wall and the closing fitting on the pillar but in this way,it will make the gate to open on the wrong direction so probably not as good and safe :/
Otherwise the gate feels sturdy ,it has a lock/unlock wheel button.
It feels easy to operate with one hand indeed ,although I don’t know what to say about unlocking the down bit ,as you will have to bend to unlock it and is not as easy to a newborn in your hands.
There are ups and downs for this gate and the price is definitely a down point as quite expensive .

Retractable safety gate
I got this for my dogs when I need to keep them out of kitchen area or prevent them jumping over visiting guests.
It is priced at 47.99 and is considerably more convenient than the traditional gate style. It is compact and doesn’t take up as much room. It comes with all the fittings you need to place.
It has a lock function so once pulled across it will stay in place. The only way to then open is to twist again to unlock and it will wind itself back up.
It is strong and durable and would keep babies as well as animals out.
It has a mesh design which is softer than metal gates so no worries of the dogs getting stuck or babies hurting themselves in between the bars.
It is easy to operate with one hand and it doesn’t have a raised edge to step over like my old one. All in all, this gate will make my life much easier and less likely to fall over it.
Easy to install
This mesh gate is brilliant, and it is retractable which is fantastic. Very easy to instal and you will need a drill to put it up. It has an easy one hand operation. It has been perfect to keep our dog out of the kitchen whilst I am cooking, and when not in use it can easily retract and not get in the way.
Perfect to stop the dog escaping , safe and secure.
This is excellent to stop our mischievous cairn terrier getting out of the hallway and escaping out of the front door , it’s high enough that he can’t jump over it and I like that the material is softer and safer than the gates with bars, I think it would be a more child friendly gate too.
You get good instructions to fit the gate but it’s pretty straight forward, especially if you have had safety gates before, the gate will fit openings up to 150cm wide so it can fit wide spaces like hallways or the bottom of stairways.
It’s retractable and very easy to open and shut , it’s safer than the gates with bars, if a child falls into it they are less likely to get injured, also our dog once got its head stuck between the bars , he panicked so much he would of really hurt himself if i hadn’t freed him, with this gate there is no chance of that which is reassuring.
The gate is lightweight and easy to install, it does a very good job of keeping the dog in safely and securely, at 47 it’s not the cheapest but i think it’s good quality and I prefer this design it’s very safe for the dog so it will be safe for children too.
Great retractable bay or puppy gate
What a great way to have a gate across stairs or doors, much easier to put up than a traditional gate and this stays up, does keep falling from the wall etc.
You fix the gate to one wall, and then the other part to the other wall, you can then pull the gate open and hook it to the other side, and reverse to open it.
Quality seems to be okay, there may be a weakness in the hooks, hard plastic hook, but with a good knock they could break, however, wouldn’t be a big job to get a couple of metal hooks to replace them with.
Really like this, great and easy to use, sturdy and works a treat.
Excellent retractable baby gate
This is a very good baby gate, it’s really easy to set up and quite compact. The gate rolls open smoothly and is easy to open and close. I really like that it can be left rolled up and out of the way if not needed so it’s out of the way. I can open and close it easily with just one hand.
Good quality item
We have a dog and a cat which do not get on well at all, so much so, that in the 13 years since the dog arrived, the cat has stayed upstairs out of his way. She did used to go out all of the time before he arrived, but after losing her for a week, when she wouldn’t come back into the house, she has stayed content having the run of our upstairs. Not ideal, but we didn’t want to lose one of our pets.
The gate arrived well packed and whilst I thought it was a little expensive at 47.99, after unpacking and installing it, I discovered that not only was it easy to install (the manufacturer provides comprehensive instructions too) but that it was far better than what it replaced: a traditional metal gate.
We found that we could operate the gate easily with one hand and is wide enough to cope with our wider than average stairs.

This retractable baby gate is surprisingly sturdy. This makes it equally as useful to use with pets. We’ve installed it on our stairs to stop our puppy getting past to chase the cats.
The gate itself is made from a rubberised material. This ensures that it maintains a solid surface and is less likely to be pulled open.
The gate itself clips onto the opposite side via 2 plastic hooks. The roller side also locks into place to prevent it opening when in use. The tension on the filler is quite high, ensuring a good fit, which can then be locked via the top section.
The mounting clips for the roller can easily be undone to lift the stairgate off the wall.
Overall, this is good quality and definitely recommended. If you have a small dog, this is perfect as it rolls up to a minimal size.

I ordered one very similar to this only a couple of weeks ago that is very good so when I saw this one also up for review I ordered it! Its slightly different to the other one but works the same way.
We have 2 rescue dogs, the youngest who’s 3 years old is a frenchie x sprocker and totally crazy, wooh behold anybody coming to the door….. He goes absolutely nuts, he bites the door for some reason, we have repaired the door many times now so I knew exactly where this gate was going!
My husband has installed in the doorway between the kitchen and the hall as this is the door he attacks when somebody comes to the floor…… So now when there’s somebody at the door all I do is pull the stair gate across with him left in the kitchen, so now he doesn’t attack the door and can also see who’s at the door…… I think if he really wanted he could get underneath it but so far he hasn’t tried!
It was easy to install so my husband told me, it didn’t take long, it works perfectly, I can easily do it with one hand!
I prefer this kind of gate to the metal ones!
These mesh ones retract and don’t get in the way unlike the metal type.
This is of a good durable quality, it’s strong and well made, should last for a number of years.
I can highly recommend and would deffinatly buy this type again, deffinatly will not be buying any metal ones again.

Works Well
This gate solved a problem for us, we originally had a normal baby gate fitted here to stop our little granddaughter from going upstairs, the problem was being a gate it swung in towards the cupboard door on the left and just made general access to that area difficult, this one just keeps well out of the way.
It comes with no instructions, but I’m a man and don’t need any just a case of marking through the brackets drilling holes and screwing it up.
The gate is easy to unhook and open once shut you need to turn the knob on the roller just to lock it in place once that’s done you will not be able to pull it to unhook it, it also holds it relatively tort but not sure how much of children leaning on it or even big dogs (if used as a dog gate) it would take time will tell on that one, but for us this works well so happy, just knocked a star off because I am unsure of it’s longevity with our grandkids.

Good but..
Ahhh well this was packaged and presented perfectly and very easy to apply. It had no
Instructions though so i has to refer to the this detailed listing on amazon. Its been a godsend for us since our puppy is running up and downstairs and we were over the moon with it, but unfortunately after a few days the bracket has snapped already which is gonna need attention, so in terms of longevity its not been amazing so far.
Extremely easy to use though, can even be done with one hand to retract for convenience with a useful handle & the hooks the gate links to can be mounted in two ways luckily i was able to apply where i wanted it because of this.
Overall a lovely stylish and useful gate but not the strongest with the brackets and may not last as well as the conventional metal ones.
