It Definitely Works! All of my plants have been devoured by slugs every year and it is heartbreaking to see. I have started planting slug resistant plants now but I still have other plants which they eat. Every night I would go out with torch in hand and pick up the slugs. It was relentless and exhausting as I have a large garden. Fast forward to Richard Jackson’s slug control. Applied probably too much initially but the slugs chomped on them and actually ignored my plants. The photo above was taken during a rainy afternoon. I did see the slug eating the pellet, in the second photo he was moving very slowly (more than usual) away and hid under a bit of bark (bottom left of pic). Can I say that he didn’t look very well . Anyway, the next day I found him just below soil level dead. My little Rudbeckia plant (green matchstick in photo) is now starting to grow. There have been no sign of slugs or snails and no trails to see. I did apply the pellets every night for 4 nights and haven’t done so since. On the downside, the Magpies eat the pellets. I caught one inside a large pot with a Hosta and he ate every one. Not harmful to wildlife (Mr Magpie is still visiting my Hosta) which was so important to me. If not consumed, the pellets turn white-ish in colour and break down to help your soil, so its a win win. Bit expensive but I would definitely recommend these.
It works! Tried it a few days ago under my hydrangea and within a couple of days you can already see the difference! Leaves are growing back without being eaten! Thank you!
Great produc Don’t normally write reviews but this product is great. I was struggling to get lettuce going in my planter. Seedlings would appear and be eaten the next day. I used these pellets and no sign of slugs again. Would definitely buy again. They’re also protecting my Brocilli plants too which are thriving!!
Packaging is better to look a I absolutely hate slugs and snails and my choice of purchasing this over others ( since it’s chemically all the same product) is that the packing doesn’t have enlarged images of the slimey beasts all over it !

Squirrels love them. Don’t really know how to rate these. They work well but I discovered the squirrels in my garden devouring them this morning. The slugs will go underground after eating them so the birds don’t eat the slugs but seemingly squirrels love slug pellets. They are of course harmful to wildlife so I found myself trying to clear them up at 7 o’clock this morning. If you value the wildlife in your garden be very careful.

Only down side is I have a large garden area to cover, and I had to use most of box on areas I thought were the worst affected. Hence I think it is quite expensive for box size.
Wipes em ou Been killing slugs for years. We all know you’ll never eradicate them but cutting down their numbers helps. I had ducks and chickens for some years and never saw a slug ( mind you I never saw any vegetation either). So after the first year of a bird free garden the dreaded slugs have started to slime into my garden. Having used all the usual blue pellets from known brands I thought I’d give these a go. Not very confident but gave them the benefit of the doubt. They definitely work and the slugs seem to vaporise. The ultimate test was my stack of very large flower pots that had lots of super sized slugs hiding within them. I sprinkled some pellets in all the pots where the big slugs were camping out. A few days later I checked and there were still a couple. One more application and within a few days there was nothing left of the slugs. I’m very happy with this product. It’s also well priced and you get lots. Will buy again for next year.
Very good Id definitely recommend this ! I usually can’t have bedding plants in pots or borders as there is a horrendous amount of snails in my garden. I also have dogs and a family of hedgehogs so didn’t want to use a toxic killer
There are still snails but not as many and my plants are surviving. As too are the animals!

Worked for me! I’ve avoided slug pellets in the past, lethal for other wildlife. However, I’ve a dreadful slug and snail problem and a local garden centre said I could get organic pellets. Bought these, and they’ve worked wonderfully. Despite my nightly efforts with torch and scissors (slugs don’t eat much without their heads, gross but effective) plants were being destroyed. Less than a week of these pellets and the flowers are blooming, not a slug or snail to be found!

Grea I have tried a wide variety of methods to combat our slug infestation including wool pellets, copper strips, gel and coffee grounds but none have been successful. This product has been great, two light treatments were applied and for the first time in years we actually have bedding plants that are flowering.

I wanted to reduce the number of slugs because they spoil the hedgehogs food and also carry lungworm.
I can find no written evidence to suggest ferric phosphate, the active ingredient in these pellets cause harm to wildlife including hedgehogs and using it has made a huge difference.
Overnight success Do exactly what they say. Stopped bedding plant massacre overnight. Was surprised by the size of the box, thought not much for the money, but now I’ve seen the results, worth every penny. Fastest response I’ve seen other than beer traps (not fun to clean up)

Pleasantly surprised Well all I can say is, after last year’s losing battle with the slugs and snails over my garden, I feel like the tide may finally be turning. I sprinkled this liberally but in places that my dogs cannot get to (i.e behind plant pots, under pallets) and so far I have barely seen any snails/slugs where normally I’m inundated with them. My plants remain mostly unmolested.
I would caution people to place the pellets where your pets can’t get to them. I feel like if one is eaten it’s not lethal as they are tiny, but several could be lethal. I don’t believe there are pellets like this that exist that are pet friendly, it’s a case of using them responsibly. Birds won’t go near them due to the colour. I have a bird feeder anyway so they get their food from there mostly.

Seems to work 90% of the slugs on planet earth appear to live in our garden. There are MILLIONS of them. This product really made a difference. It’s especially helpful that the poisoned slugs bury themselves, which is very thoughtful of them, and means I don’t have a garden strewn with the bodies of the dead.
Helping but not totally getting rid of problem Very easy to use, I had a terrible problem with snails and I wanted something that would be safe to use as I have dogs. The pellets have reduced the amount of snails, I have repeated a few times as they keep appearing ruining my plants. I am going to persevere with this product. If you don’t have too many snails this product is worth a try
Excelle A few od these tiny little blue pelets is enough to kill slugs and is no where near as nasty as salt. We have put a fine sprinkling around the edge of our patio and even though there has been a lot of rain……..no slugs. We thought it expensive but you do not need to use much at all. Highly recommended

After buying a straw based product which was completely useless and made a terrible mess, I bought this product and so far, it seems to be working as yesterday I found a huge dead slug outside one of my big flower pots. On receipt of the product, I had some initial queries so I phoned the company and received a very prompt call back and was given excellent advice and reassurance. Currently, provided it keeps working, I would recommend it. My only niggle is that the pourer device is not very good and therefore one has to be very careful that the tiny pellets don’t spill out all over the place.

Slugs !!!!! So I think this works, however I have an abundance of slug and snail repellents. I would buy again . They swell once wet however there are lots in the box, I try them to a smaller container as it makes it easier to pour into pots.

Very effective I’m not happy to kill animals but I’m at my wits end with snails in my garden. They are literally eating all my vegetables that I’m working really hard to grow, not considering the money I’m spending on materials, and in the space of a night the little devils eat up a whole plant. So I applied this on my plants on Saturday and I could see the results straight away. I don’t find as many slugs or snails in the morning and my plants are still there with no signs of a feast. Before using it, I would remove at least 20 snails every morning, in a garden that is paved (so I only have pots) and tiny.
I am very happy with the result, and I still have plenty of product to use.

Snail with a death wish I’m not quite sure how to rate this, as I have not particularly noticed a reduction of snails/slugs in the garden since using over the past couple of weeks. However, the photo accompanying this review must be evidence that snails are attracted to the pellets as this one managed to find its way into the shed and was attempting to crawl into the side opening… which felt a bit surreal and warranted a review/photo.
A gardening must have These are amazing. Used them last year and dramatically decreased the slimey pests in the garden! A defo must have for any gardeners.
Easy use Only just started using hence the 4 star. Easy pourer box but I have poured a small amount into an old plastic pot and sprinkled where necessary as per directions. As well as a problem with slugs eating plants they have been getting in through the vents on my patio door overnight so I sprinkled a few on the outside floor all which were gone by the morning. There were no slugs there but evidence that they had been and gone. I also find that slugs climb the trees to eat the fat balls I have hung for the birds so have sprinkled some around the bottom of the trees which have been eaten. So far so good.

Helps to protect Wildlife I bought this brand as we had recently seen hedgehogs in our garden & we didn’t want them to be affected by slug pellets. We have a lot of slugs & snails in our garden who love to destroy our plants.
This box is easy to use & although it is expensive the box will last us for years. We found putting the pellets down after watering worked well, so sign of the dead slugs/snails as apparently they burrow down into the soil.
Our plants have survived & are looking great & we have a lot less slugs & snails.

Does the job These do the job of curtailing the pesky creatures that eat my plants. Just have to be careful as being in a box they sprinkle out more freely than those available in tubs with a limited gap.

Good Produc I have bought this before and the pellets really work well. My garden was slug free for months. Never saw any signs of slugs in the garden for such a long time, but I have now seen signs of them about. I have treated the whole garden this week so now I hope to be slug free for the remainder of the summer.

Ok but mind the box Needed effective pest control so 1.2 kg was great. Box tends to fall over spilling the content out of the nozzle but it’s cardboard rather than plastic which is great. I’m going to put the rest in an old container so it’s easier to distribute and keeps dry.

A gardening must have
These are amazing. Used them last year and dramatically decreased the slimey pests in the garden! A defo must have for any gardeners.
Only just started using hence the 4 star. Easy pourer box but I have poured a small amount into an old plastic pot and sprinkled where necessary as per directions. As well as a problem with slugs eating plants they have been getting in through the vents on my patio door overnight so I sprinkled a few on the outside floor all which were gone by the morning. There were no slugs there but evidence that they had been and gone. I also find that slugs climb the trees to eat the fat balls I have hung for the birds so have sprinkled some around the bottom of the trees which have been eaten. So far so good.

Seems to work
Had to get something as the slugs were stripping the garden bare. Read lots of reviews and this seemed to have the most consistent good reviews. It does seem to have worked, so would recommend.

This is a great product and works glad Amazon do these now as I could only find them before on QVC.
I bought this brand as we had recently seen hedgehogs in our garden & we didn’t want them to be affected by slug pellets. We have a lot of slugs & snails in our garden who love to destroy our plants.
This box is easy to use & although it is expensive the box will last us for years. We found putting the pellets down after watering worked well, so sign of the dead slugs/snails as apparently they burrow down into the soil.
Our plants have survived & are looking great & we have a lot less slugs & snails.
Effective and environmentally friendly way to deal with slugs and snails
We have tried many products to deal with slugs and snails without much success. We did not want to revert to using traditional pellets because of their impact on wildlife. The organic pellets have proved to be very effective and I will definitely use the in future
Does the job
These do the job of curtailing the pesky creatures that eat my plants. Just have to be careful as being in a box they sprinkle out more freely than those available in tubs with a limited gap.

This product appears to do what it says on the box. I am happy with this item and would buy it again. Would have given it 5 stars but it is a little too pricy for what it is

I have bought this before and the pellets really work well. My garden was slug free for months. Never saw any signs of slugs in the garden for such a long time, but I have now seen signs of them about. I have treated the whole garden this week so now I hope to be slug free for the remainder of the summer.

I have used Richard Jackson pellets before they are organic bird and child friendly so that’s a winner for me

Fast delivery, well packed. Easy to use, I’ve had it down for 4 days and I haven’t had to pick a slug up so it’s definitely working.
Needed effective pest control so 1.2 kg was great. Box tends to fall over spilling the content out of the nozzle but it’s cardboard rather than plastic which is great. I’m going to put the rest in an old container so it’s easier to distribute and keeps dry.
I thought it was a bit expensive but lots of garden products have gone up in price recently.
This product is fantastic, ive used it before and now my garden only has the occasional problem. Its safe with my dogs and wildlife.

That the slugs will dissappear under the soil and then the remains of slugs will decompose and feed the plants, no residue on soil, no worries about birds or wildlife being harmed and slugs not wreaking havock on my plants.
Winner all round as far as I can tell.
