Ring Fit Adventure (Nintendo Switch)

Mod 2 a

Level-up your character and yourself!

In Adventure mode, defeat enemies with attacks based on over 60 real-world exercises as you traverse more than 100 levels in over 20 worlds. As you work through each level (and possibly work up a sweat), you’ll earn experience points and collect ingredients to craft health-restoring smoothies.

Mod 2 b

Jog, Sprint, and high knee

Between fights, you may encounter some unusual methods of transportation such as squat-powered launch pads, waterfalls to paddle board up, and more! For more surprises, stop by towns and visit the General Store to get workout clothes that increase your attack and defence stats, or take on additional missions for super effective items.

Mod 2 c

Want to compete with others?

Pass around the Ring-Con accessory and select from 12 mini games: break boxes with gusts of air, craft pottery using squats, and more. If you’re looking for a more formal workout, you can create customised workout routines, mixing exercises and mini-games to help break a sweat. You can even track your performance with some estimated stats by using the Joy-Con (R)’s (sold separately) built-in IR Motion Camera, such as your heart rate and the amount of calories burned from your workout. This way, you can make sure you’re hitting your goals.

Mod 2 d

Go the extra mile!

You can even take the Ring-Con accessory with an attached Joy-Con controller (sold separately) on its own – without a Nintendo Switch. While you’re sitting at work or at a bench in a park, you can press and pull the Ring-Con to gain reps. Then, you can later sync the Ring-Con with your game to convert the stored reps into experience and in-game items for your character. Stay motivated and reap the rewards, both in and out of the game!

Really fun and great for quick workouts, playing game mode makes you forget you’re exercising. Definitely works up a sweat!

Bought mid pandemic, fun to do, more exhausting than you’d think, good fun and good for getting the calories burnt off without having to leave the house, even for someone that goes to the gym regularly this can give a good and fun workout.

So easy to plug and play and makes exercise fun and engaging!
After each section of the game you definitely feel like you have done a workout however there are other areas where you can select mini games or specific targeted workouts to mix things up.

So glad I brought this to get me remotivated again to get fit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI should have bought this sooner. I guess the marketing was a bit cheesy and I didnt get it. I’m on day 2 and it’s the motivation a slightly lazy gamer needed! I just can’t be bothered otherwise but this is so fun and man does it work. Thanks Nintendo

I’ve always hated exercising but this game makes me forget I’m putting physical effort in. I play this for almost an hour almost every night and stop when I’m too exhausted to continue. What I find motivating I that I can set the level very low and advance quickly through the levels. Another tip: earlier levels become much easier when you’ve levelled up. So if there’s a challenge you don’t like, leave it waiting and it will be much easier in the future.

I don’t usually bother leaving reviews for things online, but thought I’d take the time for anyone considering whether to get a ring fit. I’m a few days in and I love it.

I was already into fitness, I run and go to the gym, but wanted something additional to add to my routine for 15-30 minutes in the morning. I thought this might not be very challenging for me, but it really gets me sweating and my arms feel like they’re pumped up afterwards.

Totally recommended for anyone who finds exercise boring or any fitness fanatics that want to add something different to their routine.

I wanted to be more active, but I find doing normal Excerise can be boring and most of the time I will opt not to do any or give up.

So I brought the ringfit. I really enjoy it, it definitely helps to keep you going to the end of the level. Normally I would have given up. But pushing myself made me fell great.

My daughters loves to play as well. Hopefully keep them active as well.

Would definitely recommend if you can’t managed to get out the house to do exercise. It works well for me as I can still do the Excerise at home while my kids are here.

Slight edit: When you advance further you have to go to this stupid smoothie store & buy ingredients with your coins so you can recover against the end boss which is REALLY annoying because it completely takes you out of your flow. I was figuring it out for 10 minutes, ruining my workout. Prepare for a few frustrating times figuring stuff out.

If you’re on the fence about this then jump! This thing is brilliant. You would have to be an Olympic athlete for this not to give you a good workout. I’ll just share my personal experience. I am 43, male, very obese. I do virtually no exercise other than walk. I’m too embarrassed & full of excuses to go to a gym or boot camp. I spend tons of time at home alone. This was my stepping stone. First day there’s a fair bit of set up for your character but once all that’s done you’re good to go straight in every day. I was once a gym monkey so I’m pretty good at the moves already but don’t worry it’s all explained thoroughly during the game. Remember, it’s here to get you fit and not about defeating level bosses although that is what you do! It warms you up and cools you down so you shouldn’t hurt yourself. It can take your weight and monitor your progress if you want but it’s not a requirement. It takes your heart rate so you can track which zone you’re in. The first lot of exercises are repetitive and simple but it gets you learning how to play properly. There’s a fair bit of jogging and running and high knees for going upstairs so if you’re on a floor above your neighbours you can set it to do less but if not then it’s broken up with the ring to shoot and jump etc. I was asked if I wanted to stop after a few rounds but I really wanted to carry on it was so much fun. The ring itself is incredibly well made and you can take the pads off to wash them. The strap fits fine around my tree trunk of a leg and stays there. I’m not saying this thing will get you to your goal but I’m intending it to be a gateway to get to a gym or a fitness class without feeling mortified at where I am now. All in all its great fun and distracts you from the fact you are actually exercising again! And during these Covid / lockdown times it’s the perfect tool. Enjoy!

A fun fitness game that can be used easily by all ages and continue to be a challenge even for experienced users.

    The Good
    Large selection of exercises
Difficulty levels ensure it stays a challenge
Offers healthy eating and exercise advice
    Fun mini-games

    The Bad
    Joycon tracking is sometimes limited

Ring Fit Adventure is probably one of the best ways to retain a daily short high-intensity workout indoors. There are numerous ways to stay active with this game including the story mode, mini-games and individual exercises that can be grouped into a saved workout routine.

There are numerous exercises to choose from and multiple areas of the body you can focus your training on. One great thing about this game is it encourages warm-up and cool-down sessions that teach you how to stretch correctly.

The accessibility is also very low and should be suitable for children and older ages with difficulty levels set when you first start to ensure the exercise is at the right level for your capabilities and can be changed later when you need a challenge.

The only downside I have about this game is sometimes the tracking is not accurate on some exercises and this does affect the emersion and focus when trying to complete a set.

Okay so I have to start by saying that this is such a beautiful looking game – think a slightly more cartoony Breath of the Wild.
Don’t let that fool you though, this is a proper workout and as long as you’re honest with yourself and the software you’ll really get a good sweat going.

It makes a workout fun in a way I’ve never seen before so even though I knew I was exercising, I didn’t mind at all.

The premise of your adventure is simply enough, save the world from the evil Dragaux (who you accidently let out of his prison.) The turn based RPG elements to the encounters are awesome and have some cool mechanics like bonus damage if you match the exercise type and colour to the colour of enemy you’re attacking.

I also have to mention how sturdy the ring con is, even though you’re constantly pushing and pulling it; it never feels like it’s going to break on you.
The tracking is ridiculously good and it even gives you a chance to monitor your heart rate after each exercise.
It’ll ask you if you feel the need to increase or decrease your exercise difficulty and the leveling up system feels gratifying.

It starts out by explaining stretching and why you should do it. It gives you hints and tips on how to live a healthy lifestyle without coming across preachy and as I said in the title of the review really seems to care about your health and fitness. It’s clear they brought in professionals to design the workouts, cooldowns and stretches.

I could go on and on about how great this game is but I’ll stop here.

The only con I can think of is that it hasn’t yet come down in price since release and is unlikely to any time soon, if at all.
Then again, to even that out, I wholeheartedly think it’s worth every penny.

Love it. Has plenty of different modes to keep me entertained and can even set daily reminders! Really gets my heart racing and me moving. The pre-stretches are great, along with the cooldowns. The story mode fllows a male/female working with this ring to defeat a massive monster.. doesn’t sound as good as it is, lots of monsters in the levels to defeat with workouts!! 🙂

Not only is this game a blast, but a great secret RPG hidden within the fun of working out!
Ring Fit Adventure is a new healthy lifestyle game that Nintendo has released which incorporates the joy-cons to be wielded in a way that all matters of exercise can be completed.
This game changed the playing field by adding a traditional RPG story into the mix. It really feels as if YOU are the protagonist who has to physically punch and kick the enemies to win. You’ll unlock moves, abilities, and customize your skill tree just like any other RPG. The game makes you care about the workout routine, because it’s not presented as a workout routine at all! It’s presented to you as something so familiar to all video game fans. All your previous gamer instincts tell you “hey, grind to level up” or “use these moves (exercises) to beat these specific enemies as they’re type-effective or will do more damage”. I’m completely blown away at how much I care about progressing and “leveling myself up” to get to the next world without even thinking or treating it like I’m adding exercise to my daily routine.

Let me start off by saying I am NOT a gym bunny…more like a gin sloth, so take that into consideration.
I don’t enjoy team sports and find that going to a gym is embarrassing and demotivational so I was looking for something to do at home. I have a ton of DVD’s for Pilates and yoga, some dancing ones and even a few hitt typer workouts. They all gather dust after a few runs through.
So, I thought I’d give this a go – and here’s the amazing bit….I’ve kept at it! It’s different enough each day to keep me interested and I can pick out the exercises I want to work on.
The other surprising thing is that it works. I have one of those annoying watches that insists on telling you what your fitness age is and in the last month my age has gone down 18 years!
Overall it’s a nice bit of kit with really good workouts that keeps you coming back.

I’m really enjoying it – the adventure mode is entertaining and gets in a surprising amount of exercise without you really thinking about it! The mini games are also great if you fancy a quick work out but haven’t got time for a full adventure mode. I read that some people were concerned about the size of the wrap that goes around your thigh – I’m a large lady, UK size 20-22 with thunderous thighs and the wrap fits fine with room to spare! It’s elasticated and very roomy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had Ring Fit Adventure now for 5 months, and to say its a workout is an understatement.

This game is both rewarding when used regularly and irregularly, if that makes sense. On days when it rains, you can throw up your switch and get exercising, and it gives a proper workout! I would recommend getting a yoga mat if your floors are wooden, like mine. And workout gear.

But onto the actual game. You gain control of this ring, which tells you an ancient evil has been released (which he trained?!) I mean ok dude good job on that. Anyway go save the world, one squat at a time. And you better like squats cause you’ll be doing a lot of them. Amongst jogging, yoga poses, shoulder stretches, knee ups etc. To say I end the session sweating worse than I do at my manual labour job is an understatement. Remember water.

Alright so is it worth like 60-70 quid? If you’re gonna use it, yes. Easily worth it. I was worried I’d break the stupid circle thing. Its sturdier than I thought. Hasn’t shown signs of massive wear either, but I’m not Dwayne Johnson. Take it easy maybe if your muscles are bigger than your head.

I honestly love this game. Good job Nintendo.

Okay, so I gained a little weight… Then I gained a little more… Then I really whacked it on.

    Stop!

It’s time I did something about this. My answer: Nintendo Ring Fit for the Switch. This game gets you moving, and don’t be fooled, once you’ve done 40mins with this game, you’ll feel it alright!

There are different settings so you can ease yourself in, or do what I did and set a real challenge for your body.

The game includes adventure mode, which takes exercise and makes it fun. Along the way you can measure your heart rate, and at the end of each level you find out how many calories you’ve burned.

Now I still got the tubby tummy at the moment, but I’m confident I can shift these lockdown lbs with Nintendo Ring Fit for the Switch.

What’s that Tom? No, I don’t work for Nintendo. No I don’t have an uncle who works for Nintendo… Look, I’m trying to write a review here I… Beans on toast? Yes I’ll have some… Give me a mo to finish up here.

This is a lot of fun and really does get you moving! There are mini games as well as adventure mode so myself and my daughter can challenge each other in the mini games and I get to do the adventure mode by myself. Also you can have more than one profile so my daughter can use adventure mode too. (There’s no way I’d allow her to use my profile-I want all the glory for that! ) There is so much more to it than I thought and it’s great if you want to get fit but don’t fancy doing it in public!

This is great. I was sceptical first as to if this would be either too easy, boring, or just too hard but it really is great.

I’m overweight and asthmatic but the first thing you do is run through a series of stages to determine the right level of exercise. It then sets the difficult to this and gives you the option each time to make it easier or harder.

I do around 20 to 30 mins a time and you can feel it. I’m usually sweating buckets and my muscles are definitely feel it but it’s fun and you don’t really notice how much exercise you do because you want to beat the monsters and get the coins! It really is fun.

The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the leg strap is a little bit small. It’s very tight on my legs (admittedly I ride horses so they’re a bit extra chunky but still seems unreasonably small). There is some stretch in it but I wouldn’t want it any tighter… For those wondering my thigh is around 31.5 inches.

You can also set an alarm on it to remind you to do some exercise in case you forget. Hopefully it will help with the weightloss but that will have to wait and see.

We actually bought the Nintendo Switch for this game. My husband has been shielding and working from home, and we wanted to try and exercise in the winter months. Honestly thought we would give it a go, and not use it again.
I have just finished the main game! The workout is HARD. I have ached. There is sweat. I am getting abs. It’s really really surprising just how much you do in 1 session, like sometimes over 100 squats that don’t feel like you are doing 100 squats because it’s fun. This honestly is the best game. I have played Wii Fit in the past, and have done many workouts on XBOX Kinect, but this blows them out of the water! I hope there is a second one!

Not usually a fan of these fitness games but this is excellent, very impressed and the actually exercise ring is surprisingly tough, the game modes are fun for both adults and kids. Really recommend this

This is perfect for those that find Exercising a chore!
    Workouts become an adventure!
Difficultly can be easily Altered with regular check ins from the game.
The Ring fit requires very little set up and as product that aids with a full body workout, takes up very little room when tidying away.

In my opinion very much worth the price.

I love this, it’s so good especially during quarantine where the gyms are closed. I have been an avid gym-goer and I find myself struggling to get through some exercises! It allows you to change the difficulty mode, so you can always get challenged which i REALLY appreciate. super fun, gives working out an RPG twist!

Bought after borrowing my sister’s. It’s amazing it’s so much more then it looks and the game lasts months and months, it ups it’s level, abilities and excersises as you go so there’s no danger of getting used to it, so far it’s very worth it, especially while the gyms are a no go. Great invention, tougher then it looks

Amazing game! My boyfriend and I loving it! Very good to start with if you can’t make a first step to start exercising properly. It’s a hard work too if you want it to be! Enjoying it very much. It is definitely worth the money. Highly recommended!

I have to point out that after using it for a while I can only give it 4 stars because of the grip on the leg strap, which doesn’t have much grip and keeps moving even with minimal leg movement. Also don’t tighten it too much because I feel the strap could give way.
The ring itself is great and has the grips to hold the device in its right place with plenty of cushioning. The game itself is challenging and even if there is no multi player setting the challenges are still fun to interact with others. Unless there is a multiplayer setting and I just don’t know about it. (please do let me know)
All in all I like how its diverse and still gets my heart pumping to achieve my workout goals, even 10minutes does the trick. Enjoyable, challenging and fun to do.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m very very surprised on how good this actually is, I bought this as I had a few Amazon vouchers from my work and they were burning a hole in my pocket.

I’m really surprised and really like this, I’ve set up profiles for all the family and it’s great for us all to get involved plus the fact your keeping fit at the same time. Well worth the money.

If your looking at this and on the fence about it I would say buy it, you will enjoy it. It’s for all ages and sizes
