Ring Fit Adventure (Nintendo Switch)

Mod 2 a

Level-up your character and yourself!

In Adventure mode, defeat enemies with attacks based on over 60 real-world exercises as you traverse more than 100 levels in over 20 worlds. As you work through each level (and possibly work up a sweat), you’ll earn experience points and collect ingredients to craft health-restoring smoothies.

Mod 2 b

Jog, Sprint, and high knee

Between fights, you may encounter some unusual methods of transportation such as squat-powered launch pads, waterfalls to paddle board up, and more! For more surprises, stop by towns and visit the General Store to get workout clothes that increase your attack and defence stats, or take on additional missions for super effective items.

Mod 2 c

Want to compete with others?

Pass around the Ring-Con accessory and select from 12 mini games: break boxes with gusts of air, craft pottery using squats, and more. If you’re looking for a more formal workout, you can create customised workout routines, mixing exercises and mini-games to help break a sweat. You can even track your performance with some estimated stats by using the Joy-Con (R)’s (sold separately) built-in IR Motion Camera, such as your heart rate and the amount of calories burned from your workout. This way, you can make sure you’re hitting your goals.

Mod 2 d

Go the extra mile!

You can even take the Ring-Con accessory with an attached Joy-Con controller (sold separately) on its own – without a Nintendo Switch. While you’re sitting at work or at a bench in a park, you can press and pull the Ring-Con to gain reps. Then, you can later sync the Ring-Con with your game to convert the stored reps into experience and in-game items for your character. Stay motivated and reap the rewards, both in and out of the game!

You don't even feel like you're exercising
Really fun and great for quick workouts, playing game mode makes you forget you’re exercising. Definitely works up a sweat!

    Your going to be sore
Bought mid pandemic, fun to do, more exhausting than you’d think, good fun and good for getting the calories burnt off without having to leave the house, even for someone that goes to the gym regularly this can give a good and fun workout.

    Surprise
I didn’t take this seriously. Was a bit of fun

With my diet and the competition of doing this with my partner I’ve lost 9lb in a couple weeks. The best I’ve done for a while
    It’s a Mario Bros with a difference
Worth a go if you’re out of ideas

    Makes exercise fun!
So easy to plug and play and makes exercise fun and engaging!
After each section of the game you definitely feel like you have done a workout however there are other areas where you can select mini games or specific targeted workouts to mix things up.

So glad I brought this to get me remotivated again to get fit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDO NOT BE SCEPTICAL
I should have bought this sooner. I guess the marketing was a bit cheesy and I didnt get it. I’m on day 2 and it’s the motivation a slightly lazy gamer needed! I just can’t be bothered otherwise but this is so fun and man does it work. Thanks Nintendo

    Great game
Great game with many options, story mode, quick play and mini games. Set up is a bit troublesome every time and you need a few minutes before you can actually play but it provides a good quick workou

    Has changed my life
I’ve always hated exercising but this game makes me forget I’m putting physical effort in. I play this for almost an hour almost every night and stop when I’m too exhausted to continue. What I find motivating I that I can set the level very low and advance quickly through the levels. Another tip: earlier levels become much easier when you’ve levelled up. So if there’s a challenge you don’t like, leave it waiting and it will be much easier in the future.

    Excelle
I wanted to be more active, but I find doing normal Excerise can be boring and most of the time I will opt not to do any or give up.

So I brought the ringfit. I really enjoy it, it definitely helps to keep you going to the end of the level. Normally I would have given up. But pushing myself made me fell great.

My daughters loves to play as well. Hopefully keep them active as well.

Would definitely recommend if you can’t managed to get out the house to do exercise. It works well for me as I can still do the Excerise at home while my kids are here.

    Genuinely impressive and fu
I don’t usually bother leaving reviews for things online, but thought I’d take the time for anyone considering whether to get a ring fit. I’m a few days in and I love it.

I was already into fitness, I run and go to the gym, but wanted something additional to add to my routine for 15-30 minutes in the morning. I thought this might not be very challenging for me, but it really gets me sweating and my arms feel like they’re pumped up afterwards.

Totally recommended for anyone who finds exercise boring or any fitness fanatics that want to add something different to their routine.

    Get off the fence!
Slight edit: When you advance further you have to go to this stupid smoothie store & buy ingredients with your coins so you can recover against the end boss which is REALLY annoying because it completely takes you out of your flow. I was figuring it out for 10 minutes, ruining my workout. Prepare for a few frustrating times figuring stuff out.

If you’re on the fence about this then jump! This thing is brilliant. You would have to be an Olympic athlete for this not to give you a good workout. I’ll just share my personal experience. I am 43, male, very obese. I do virtually no exercise other than walk. I’m too embarrassed & full of excuses to go to a gym or boot camp. I spend tons of time at home alone. This was my stepping stone. First day there’s a fair bit of set up for your character but once all that’s done you’re good to go straight in every day. I was once a gym monkey so I’m pretty good at the moves already but don’t worry it’s all explained thoroughly during the game. Remember, it’s here to get you fit and not about defeating level bosses although that is what you do! It warms you up and cools you down so you shouldn’t hurt yourself. It can take your weight and monitor your progress if you want but it’s not a requirement. It takes your heart rate so you can track which zone you’re in. The first lot of exercises are repetitive and simple but it gets you learning how to play properly. There’s a fair bit of jogging and running and high knees for going upstairs so if you’re on a floor above your neighbours you can set it to do less but if not then it’s broken up with the ring to shoot and jump etc. I was asked if I wanted to stop after a few rounds but I really wanted to carry on it was so much fun. The ring itself is incredibly well made and you can take the pads off to wash them. The strap fits fine around my tree trunk of a leg and stays there. I’m not saying this thing will get you to your goal but I’m intending it to be a gateway to get to a gym or a fitness class without feeling mortified at where I am now. All in all its great fun and distracts you from the fact you are actually exercising again! And during these Covid / lockdown times it’s the perfect tool. Enjoy!

    1 Year Plus Review
A fun fitness game that can be used easily by all ages and continue to be a challenge even for experienced users.

    The Good
    Large selection of exercises
Difficulty levels ensure it stays a challenge
Offers healthy eating and exercise advice
    Fun mini-games

    The Bad
    Joycon tracking is sometimes limited

Ring Fit Adventure is probably one of the best ways to retain a daily short high-intensity workout indoors. There are numerous ways to stay active with this game including the story mode, mini-games and individual exercises that can be grouped into a saved workout routine.

There are numerous exercises to choose from and multiple areas of the body you can focus your training on. One great thing about this game is it encourages warm-up and cool-down sessions that teach you how to stretch correctly.

The accessibility is also very low and should be suitable for children and older ages with difficulty levels set when you first start to ensure the exercise is at the right level for your capabilities and can be changed later when you need a challenge.

The only downside I have about this game is sometimes the tracking is not accurate on some exercises and this does affect the emersion and focus when trying to complete a set.

    Great game.
I bought this game for my 4 year old girl. She loves it. It’s just a bit difficult for her to pull or push the ring but it’s great to see her trying to complete the level.
