Our Roshield mouse boxes have been specifically designed for the safe application of rodenticide blocks and pasta within areas of mice activity. Their lockable tamper-resistant design complies with the latest UK & EU regulations. All amateur users must use tamper-resistant bait stations if baiting mice with rodenticide.
A key is included within the kit which allows for the box to be opened. Once inside the box contains 2 rear bait chambers that allow for bait to be placed safely. Mice will enter the box and consume the bait – This is not a trap and mice are unlikely to remain in the box for longer than necessary.
When baiting for mice we recommend placement of the box within areas that are away from human habitation such as under kitchen units, within voids and enclosed attic spaces or lockable sheds. This is particularity important if baiting around pets that may have a history of chewing items.
The number of boxes required will vary depending on the size of the infestation. Larger infestations will require additional rodenticide bait and this can be purchased separately.
As an added feature exclusive to Roshield all aspects of our kit including the manufacturing of the tamper-resistant boxes, all stages for the production of the pasta bait and the finished kit sold have been made in the UK. The plastics for the black mouse boxes are sourced from recycled car bumpers and dashboards.

We understand the costs of the environment and have taken steps to minimise the transportation and material wastage in the creation of our boxes and rodenticide formulation. All our black Roshield bait boxes are manufactured in the UK using recycled plastics sourced from car bumpers and dashboards. Waste plastic is reintroduced back into the manufacturing process.
As we make the boxes in the UK we eliminate transportation costs from importing abroad, which results in a lower carbon footprint.
Our Roshield pasta bait is sourced from a range of cereals grown by British farmers in the UK, and the manufacturing process is undertaken solely in the UK.
We dispatch all our boxes within recycled cardboard boxes, which can also be recycled at the majority of kerbside collections.
Baiting for mice within houses
Mouse control can be difficult and should not be underestimated. When controlling mice we recommend that you carry out a site survey of the infestation area to highlight what the mice are feeding on and any possible habitation areas. Instructions are included within the kit that will help you identify these areas.
Eliminating the food source is extremely important otherwise mice will not look for alternative food sources and may result in rejection of the boxes or a delay in the success of the treatment.
When baiting for mice boxes should be placed in areas away from human habitation. Examples would include baiting under kitchen plinths, under floorboards, voids, airing cupboards and preferably within attic spaces. Placing bait in the open such as a living room may result in the mice rejecting the bait.
Boxes should be baited with 1 or 2 pasta sachets or blocks and checked at regular periods. Boxes should be replenished as required. Always read and comply with the product label.

Work great as expected. Safe for pets. Little post inside is very hand for block bait as you can skewer the bait on for extra pet safety.as you know the mice aren’t going to drag it out the box and leave it somewhere were your pets can eat it.

All’inizio ero un po’ scettico,le trappole sono pi piccole rispetto ad altre che ho usato in passato,ma poi dopo averle posizionate all’esterno della casa, i topi sono spariti…

They hold poisons (sold separately) for mice to crawl in, eat and then trot off and die somewhere.

Be safe bait box
As there are children in the home we were very pleased to be able to put bait down and have it hidden inside a box. The box is very secure to open, infact it gave me a bit of difficulty until I got the hang of it! So long as the box is not moved the bait will stay inside and be easily accessed by an inquisitive rodent!

Good quality bait boxes
Arrived quickly and received courtesy email from seller (Fort products) offering assistance and advice if needed. Boxes are well made and lockable, you get a key to unlock and check if bait has been disturbed. So far bait has not been touched but it is early days however boxes seem fine.
Not clear as indicated in description, but still great. . .
Haven’t used them yet, and they seem spot on, only one very slight gripe. . . In the description it states “clear, so you dont need to open to see if there is anything inside” this isn’t the case. Half expected this judging by the photos, so not particularly worried.

Most effective way to poison mice
Having tried traps, putting poison in the plastic trays available through Amazon and these boxes, I’ve decided the boxes work best. In situations where I’ve put poison out in the trays and in the box, the mice take the poison from the box preferentially. Maybe they feel more secure eating in an enclosed place. Also the boxes stop the poison being spread about by the mice. Five boxes come with only one key, be helpful if there was a spare, although they’re fairly easy to open with other tools.

Being a little elderly it took a couple of minutes to work out where the key was. After that everything was simple and easy. Sorry but hope I don’t have to buy any more.

The poison is very efficient, the bait boxes secure, can’t be opened without the key. Had mice in the conservatory and aviary, all evidence of mice gone in three days, This is the second lot am keeping it just in case.

Easy to use. Needed to secure to a surface ( I used an old brick) via fixing holes for outside runs, as we have issues with squirrels and had noticed that they had previously ‘stolen’ two units which were simply placed on the ground next to the outside house wall. The brick also raises the unit of the ground as they can suffer from water ingress otherwise.

These are great sturdy boxes. I already have a couple of the larger boxes and these are just as good. Obviously these are more for mice than rats due to the opening sizes. They lock down with a reassuring click and easily hold enough bait. I’ve used a bait block in one side and a pasta bait sachet in the other. Hopefully this will help eradicate the mice problem in and around the house.

Nice and compact. Totally child and let proof and very discreet. Nice have no problem getting in to eat the poison which seemed to work after about 2 days as it’s not been touched since then. Nice to know the dog can’t get access to it. Simple but effective piece of kit.

Nonostante siano economiche ho trovato queste scatole veramente ben fatte. Sono sicure, infatti possono essere aperte solo da una chiave in dotazione. Grazie agli scompartimenti interni il veleno rimane inaccessibile ad animali domestici o a bambini. Per una maggiore sicurezza la scatola andrebbe fissata a terra.
Il prodotto adatto per topi di piccola, media taglia, infatti le dimensioni delle scatole sono molto ridotte. Nel pacco si trovano cinque scatole una chiave per aprirle e un manuale in inglese.

Easy use, and love the key storage so I can’t lose it.
Good product if you don’t want traps which the mice in this house usually go off still attached to. Just put the bait sachet in the back and shut the lid, it can’t be opened without the key so it’s safe, put along the wall or the area infested and the bait quickly goes There is only1 key(red) so try not to lose it. The boxes can be used time and again. We never use anything but boxes now, cheaper in the long run. Would recommend.

Very robust and well made product. Secure when sealed and yet easily accessible using the tool provided.
Simple to use and meeces have now gone. Had seen them regularly running amongst my flower pots and once bait went down they became slow and lethargic. Now they have disappeared altogether. I don’t like having to get rid of wildlife but they were living under my summerhouse where there some very tempting cushions and I have seen the damage they can do before.

Bad News for our little friends
First Class product.Very well made and very safe if you have pets l would Highly Reccormend this product.
This is a must if you are using poison bait for mid infestation. To be honest I do not like using bait, however, we live in a house with a thatched roof and whilst I would love to live harmoniously with out rodents, they do and have eaten our wiring in the past and therefore fearful of a conflagration, I take preventive measures to remove the mice.
These boxes are well made and are designed to hold either loose bait or solid bait. I purchase solid bait which comes with a hole inserted and this bait fits securely onto the post in one of the two chambers of this box. The box closes securely and is locked automatically when shut. The only way that you can obtain access is by using the supplier key; one key per pack. If you wish to secure the boxes, they come pre-release with two screw holes. I don’t secure mine as I prefer to move them around.
I suppose the major benefit is to keep the bait enclosed and safe from accidental ingestion by a child or family pet. To be honest, in our loft there is no chance of this, however, I do like the fact that the bait is contained in one place. For those using the in more “public” places, they are fine, will stand up to being trodden on and should keep the bait secure and safe from causing harm.

I have received these and the seem well made, but took a bit to figure out.
Note that there is a hole in the top for the key that doesn’t seem to fit the key supplied.
just put the key into the hole where the circle is, then turn it and you will feel the the legs on the lock the lock move, and then you can easily lift the lid.
