The Designer
Scottish by birth, Gordon Ramsay was brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. With an injury prematurely putting and end to any hopes of a promising career in football, he went back to college to complete a course in hotel management. His dedication and natural talent led him to train with some of the best chefs, such as Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White in London, and Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon in France. In 1993 Gordon became chef of Aubergine in London. Within three years he was awarded two Michelin stars. In 1998, at the age of 31, Ramsay set up his first wholly owned and namesake restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which quickly received the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world – three Michelin stars. Today, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is London’s longest -running restaurant to hold this accolade, and Ramsay is one of only four chefs in the U.K. to maintain three stars.

Knives are super sharp !!
Purchased as a gift for Christmas ’21 due to the old set being blunt. All I can say is these knives cut through foodstuffs like a hot knife through butter. Manufacture quality is superb, as you would expect given who designed them, and who made them. The knives are very comfortable to hold which gives you more control when cutting/slicing, the knives appear to glide through meat or veg.
Have not needed to sharpen any of them yet, however, I hope this will not be needed for some time. I would recommend using them with a wooden chopping board rather than marble, for example.
With that in mind, the Santoku knife is simply amazing for vegetables and really does cut perfectly. That being said, each knife is very well balanced and a reflection of the man behind its design. Overall, very impressed by this set from Gordon Ramsay and Royal Doulton.
Fed up with not being able to cut meat , so brought these as middle range price , wow so great used them the other day made preparing dinner so easy great for the price recommend to all .
A posh knife block was my birthday present to myself and I’m so glad I chose this set. They look and feel professional and are a good weight to hold. Very sharp and make chopping onions enjoyable, which I never thought I’d say. I recommend them.
I’ve been waiting for these for a while as they were out of stock for a while. When I finally got them I was very excited and remain excited a month later. Knives are very well balanced and are super sharp. So sharp they become hard to clean with a brush or sponge, so dishwasher it is. WARNING: these really are very sharp and strong, watch your fingers
Brought these for my partner for Christmas and he’s amazed with this product. The knives cut effortlessly, design is easy to hold and the holder is great knives just fit back in place wherever you put them.

Perfect set of knives. Has the bacis that anyone would need. Small compact and best of all sharp. Good solid build. Weight distribution on point. Little on the pricier side compared to some other brands that may give more options for this price point but you’re getting your monies worth. Definitely recommend if you’re just looking for someone kitchen knives without the extras like steak knives scissors etc etc. which I would hardly use anyway. With proper care they’ll last a long time. Just make sure you don’t wash them in the dishwasher as most knives are better off hand washed
Only thing I wish was it came with a knife sharpener but no big deal.
Love this knife set. Knives are sharp and sturdy. The holder is a nice modern look that doesn’t use too much counter space. Definitely grey in colour.
This knife set is exactly what I wanted – all in a small, vertical knife block. The knives are fabulous to use, my only criticism is that one of the knives became (seemingly) permanently stained after using it for the first time. Other than that, I love them! Wish they also offered a similar steak knife set..

Was sceptical when husband bought these but I absolutely love these knives. They cut amazing and I love the feeling of them. They are sleek , super sharp and sit nicely on our counter, the thickness snd sturdiness is amazing too – also matches our colour concept in kitchen. Definitely highly recommended to anyone who needs a new set of knives and can promise to take care of Them. It may be on the higher priced side but so worth it.
Got my set for an amazing price, (repackaged item) not only did it come packaged as new , the quality is apparent once out of the box , they come razor sharp and hold a fantastic edge. Fit and finish are great, weight and balance give you the sense of a professional grade product. Definitely a solid deal for me at the price I paid , however full price is fair considering how well this set is made. The grey look of the block matches our grey kitchen perfectly… Bonus. If your considering these do not hesitate they will not disappoint.

So I give this item a 5 star review – however I am going to exchange it for a new set as the small paring knife has what appears to be a small deformation of crack – I do not want to risk going past the return date window only to have it snap off or break completely

They’re sharp, the feel nice in the hand, it is well worth it for a good set of knives it just sucks that they mark easily after use, it does not effect the use of the knife at all just the appearance when you look closely.
Good knives for daily use. But the shipping package is broken when arrived and the tip of the 8″ chef knife is bend and chipped. A bit disappointing but the knives are beautiful.

These are simply amazing to use! Beautiful knives that cut through most things like butter. And the cute grey holder finishes it off. Carving meat is so easy and vegetables can be cut very fine with ease.

I am happy with this set just the stand color is light grey which is not as pictured but that works for me. I haven’t used it yet but the quality looks very good and it is very easy to keep in hand.

Haven’t had it for that long and only using the small knives so far but they are very sharp. Also the design is really good and the knives slot in so easily- very useful when you are rushing in the kitchen and can put things away quickly.
