Nicely filtered wate
Great kettle. I’ve had mine 3 years and a month, and it has been an excellent kettle during that time. We used to have regularly awful tasting tea and coffee due to the chemical build up in the cold water supply. This kettle takes all that bad taste away, and it’s been a Godsend. Filling the kettle can take a little time, as the filter sits in a ‘basket’ above the water chamber and this basket can only hold a certain amount of water at a time. The water then drip flows through the filter and into the boiling chamber. So for a full kettle the chamber has to be refilled four or five times, with a delay between each fill as the chamber empties through the filter. I overcome this by refilling the chamber after each brew I make, so there’s water in the kettle ready to boil when I next need it. If only I could get the rest of the family to buy in to this process!
One issue I’ve hit is that after these three years of use, the kettle has started sticking on the base charger, so when you lift the kettle swiftly up to refill or use, the base comes up with it until the power cord reaches its limit and pulls the base back down. Also, the cover for the on/off switch has just come off today! I’m sure these are minor technical issues which I’m off to solve in a minute or two, but even if I can’t then I’d still recommend this kettle – and I’d buy the exact same one to replace my currently failing friend.

Clear blue kettle.
Nice shape. Bit Pricey. Blue light is a nice feature. It’s part of what you pay for. What a shame that part of the function doesn’t always work as it should. Faulty within days. Very intermittent. Boiling kettle works just fine, (without the light). Buyer beware….

Such clean tea and coffee! Very quality item. The people who say this wobbles are probably the ones who haven’t placed the cord through the hole at the back. Seriously , those people are out there!! It’s steady as a rock

Fast and quie
Wanted to give three stars initially for receiving an item that previously was open. Also for minor design issues, such as kettle always stays condensed and top part nipping on the skin.
But it is sooooo quick to boil the water (under a minute for two cups) and its much quiter than any other kettles I came across.
I am not using the filter part so removed the whole shebang.
So overall I have closed my eyes on the issues I have with it and totally happy with my purchase as it saves me so much time. If it will last us three years (which is a lot to ask in our house) I will definitely repurchase again (if still available).
Questionable Water Purifying Gimmick
I love the look, the LED light feature and the speed of which it brings water to the boil.
The water purifying element makes sense, but I am not sure about the meter on the top to tell you about replacing the filter?
You reset this meter on replacement, but is it actually measuring the number of times you filter water? Or just a period in time?
At the current rate after the first month, I am apparently looking to replace the filter in less than a week, meaning it will have lasted exactly a month.
I will be monitoring the usage and the filter to see if it is affected by less and more usage week by week.

Smart looking filter kettle
I purchased this kettle to replace a previous model & have not been disappointed. It looks great in my new kitchen, although it’s glass it’s not heavy and filters the water so you have a lovely cup of tea or coffee. I would highly recommend.
fast boil kettle
awesome kettle from a well known household name. takes a while to filter the water through but your kettle stays cleaner and the purity of the water going into your tea especially is lovely and crisp. gives a better flavour to your beverages.

I was amazed by how much better the tea tasted after using this kettle! I would recommend that you buy additional filters for the kettle too because you save by buying in bulk, although the filter only needs changed every couple of months. The kettle does take quite a while to fill because it only has a 2 mug capacity (or 4 cup), but it’s worth the wait. The kettle can be boiling while water is topped up, which is a handy tip to pass on too. Personally, I feel that it’s worth the extra cost to buy for the quality of your daily cuppa!
Genuinely impressed and worth the money
I love this. Living in a hard water area this really helps with limescale. I hadn’t noticed due to have a stainless steel kettle how murky the water was. Limescale would build up thick and fast whereas this genuinely lasts just under a month before I start seeing limescale in the kettle and even then it’s so thin it wipes away easily when I change the filter.
Also is great to use for normal drinking water to jug and fridge seen as I was so disgusted at what actually comes out the tap!
On top of the great functionality of the kettle it really is pretty to look at!

Love the design, having the filter is perfect as live in a hard water area and makes tea and coffee taste much better. Works well and looks good. Because it’s clear glass you get to see a bit of condensation after boiling on the inside, not sure if that would bother you. Quick wipe downs on the outside and has kept it looking shiny and new so far. I’m quite petite but the large handle is easy to grip for all hand sizes and have no problems picking it up or using it.

This kettle looks great, love that you can see the water bubbling away.
It’s fairly quiet which was a big priority of mine.
Yes a little slower to fill as you have to allow for 2 cups worth to pass through the filter before you can top up again, but really only takes a matter of seconds. I also think this helps remind me to not overfill the kettle unnecessarily. I usually only make 1 or 2 cups at a time anyway.
No funny taste even from the first boil, and I’m sure the filter makes the tea taste cleaner.

This Kettle is gorgeous, very easy to handle and work with. I live by myself and the size is ferfect for my use. It is glass and healthier than those made of hard plastics. The blue light when the kettle is on, is a beautiful inviting modern element of the design and with paying the small amount for this sophisticated machine is an absolute delight.

Cleaning and Taste
Without doubt Tea, Coffee and Water taste better and no more bits of limescale floating around in the water as it boils. I have used this Filter Kettle 6 or 7 times a day for the past eight weeks and only descaled it today because of a very slight film of scale, where as with my old non Filter Kettle I would have to descale it once a week to remove a significant amount of scale.

Just love the clarity of the tea that the Brita filter kettles give.
Good looking, efficient, quiet - but filter reservoir could be bigge
Generally, very good for the price. Brita filter does the job as always, although you do get a very gradual build up of limescale on the base over the course of a month.
The only negative is that the filter reservoir is a bit small – you need to fill it once and then add a little more to get two mugs-worth in there. A bigger reservoir would have seen five stars, but it does the job.
Best filter jug
Very happy with this. Sturdy but smooth plastic, gives a natural feeling of a quality product. Have used Britta jug for 2 years but this one seems to be much better. Let’s see how long does it last.
Glass so supposedly "very healthy"
It’s a kettle, but it is glass so is supposedly “very healthy” – but then they put in a plastic container for the Britax water softener! I have removed mine. I also think it’s quite noisy but it works fast which is the main criteria

I don’t review items normally but I feel compelled due to some of the reviews that I read prior to buying the kettle.
We live in a very hard water area and I basically run on cups of tea and our old kettle had done it’s time.
The filter in this kettle is THE reason I bought it. It does what it says on the tin and has been a revelation for us.
For those who say “it takes too long to fill up” and “it doesn’t hold enough water for more than x number of cups, because of the filter”….don’t buy a kettle that specifically filters water for you! I suggest buying a filter jug and a standard kettle, cut out the middle man.
It takes seconds to fill and filter, in that time why not empty your dishwasher, clean the work surface, moan about something on FB? If you want to make more than 3 or 4 cups of tea in 1 sitting, buy an urn.
If you would like a nice looking kettle, that filters your water and has a fancy blue light….buy this one!!
Good filter kettle from a known brand.
This is the second of these kettles we’ve had. The previous lasted two years but we found a crack in the glass so had to replace.
Clean taste, the filters need changing once a month so can get costly if your not prepared for it.

It’s a light but sturdy kettle even when filled with water. Like the clear body.
The water where we live (West London) is atrocious and I was reluctant to spend so much on a kettle, but given the amount of tea I drink I thought I’d take the plunge. And I wish I’d done it ages ago! Such a massive improvement, no floaty bits in the water and I haven’t had to de-scale it once (my old kettle needed de-scaling at least once a fortnight). It’s not great if you’re making tea for more than two people as it’s capacity isn’t huge but seeing as there’s only the two of us (and my husband doesn’t very often drink hot drinks) it’s not a bother. The filters are easy to change and need changing once every 3-4 weeks. I love this kettle!

Quality kettle
Having moved away from a filter kettle, it wasn’t long before we regretted the decision, due to limescale. This kettle is of great quality and the glass is excellent both in looks and function. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase and will never use a non filtered kettle again.

Great kettle. Really like the design and it’s been reliable now for many months. The only issue is that the Brita cartridge pops out of the hopper occasionally when you pour the water out. Maybe once a week. The cartridge doesn’t ‘click’ into place, it just sort of sits in the bottom of the hopper.

Amazing! We have such hard water and being home more I was getting so fed up with rubbish cups of tea tasting of metal and scum floating about the top so licked this kettle up on a lightening deal and I’m so impressed! Makes such a difference to our drinks! My husband was moaning that it takes a min or so for the water to fill up the kettle but he’s happy with the outcome now with fresh tasting tea and that’s how a filter works… 🙂

Good performance in hard water area
Nice looking kettle, and noticeably cleaner water in our tea and coffee – we live in a hard water area and so the filter system is a real benefit for us. Was worried it might take ages for the water to filter through, but this really hadn’t been an issue, and to be honest I normally re-fill it straight after use so that it’s ready as soon as I next need it. My only slight criticism is that the lights are not as bright as I would’ve liked compared to a previous light-up kettle I owned, but really this is just aesthetic and obviously doesn’t affect the performance.

Stylish kettle that filters and boils wate
I bought this one to replace the same one I had when the lid finally stopped working after 8+ years of very frequent daily use – I am fussy with water and can actually taste a difference in teas and coffees when it’s filtered. (I use a BRITA filter jug for cold water, too)
The only thing I would say the glass is rather unsightly when full of limescale (yep, still happens despite the filtering) but then again easily spotted and easy to clean. Fab kettle and looks great, too!

Love this kettle. Water boils quickly and quietly, filters easy to insert and replace. Drinks taste better and no residue left on the kettle in over 4 weeks whereas I used to have to descale weekly. Obviously does what it says and must be better for us. My dog likes it too 🙂

The above was the description on Amazon of this kettle. It isn’t 1.5 litres at all, it is a 1 litre kettle with a filter capacity of 0.5l! This is mis-selling a product! However the kettle is very nice, I just have to boil it more often, which is annoying.
Difficult to boil large amounts of water.
Great looking and high quality product. The filter really works for making tea and coffee. I also think gravy tastes better too!! Its light and ergonomic. If you want to make more than 2 cups of tea, you must wait for the water to filter through before you can fill it again and that will only take you to 4 mugs or so. Its worth the 30 second wait to fill completely. If you want to just boil large amounts of water quickly then this kettle is not going to do the job. Its best for making drinks etc. Brita make their own version of this kettle but the body is plastic not glass so not so attractive. Thoroughly recommend indeed.
Easy to use
As we live in a hard water area and like Drinking tea this seemed a good idea. So far so good. Whilst seeing the boil might seem gimmicky it does have a practical value in that you can see how far away it is from being ready and also can see any lime scale build up. So far so good. The button to spring open the lid is handy. Note; If you want to really fill up the kettle To the max it will take some time as you can only fill about a third at a time whilst you wait for the filter to process the water and then allow you to put more in. In reality we rarely need a full kettle so this isn’t a problem. If you need to boil lots of water at once this kettle might not be right for you and if so you could filter Water separately in a jug and then use To fill a different kettle without this feature.

The only downside is the small capacity of the kettle however it is quick to filter and boil the water So not really a problem. Thekettle fairly improves the quality and taste of tap water. Happy with my purchase
Tea taste bette
Tea taste cleaner & crisper. The only downside it gets alot of limescale very quickly. Bit awkward to wash because of the filter unit…. will try bit baby bottle cleaner to clean it.
