Avoiding Mishaps
To avoid any microwave mishaps it is recommended to take extra care with the following:
Low moisture foods (eg. cereals, bagels, dried pasta, pulses and chocolate)
– These must be cooked on a low power level for a very short length of time, or preferably not at all.
High sugar content foods (eg. jams, syrups)
– These foods can become easily ‘super-heated’ when cooked in a microwave oven.
Foods containing alcohol
– Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite.
Foods with a membrane or outer skin (eg. fruits, sausages, potatoes)
– Food with a sealed or none porous skin must be pierced to allow pressure and steam to escape

Cute,easy to use.
Love the mic. Very easy to use.Only critiscism is the dial has to be moved forward and then back again for times less than a minute.The timer also does not indicate seconds ,so you have to guess.Not for people with poor eyesite.Looks good, and heats nicely.Its also smaller externally which is good to fit in smaller area.The interia fits a good large plate.Over all notbadfor money.
I like this, controls look very retro and it’s very easy to operate. You don’t need a degree in math to understand how to set the cooking time, simple controls for a simple person like me 🙂
Simple easy to use dials, always used a higher W microwave so have to remember it takes longer.
As for compact you can just about fit a pint mug in height and it only just fits our dinner plates on.

My previous, all singing & dancing microwave was not used to its full potential…as all I wanted and needed was a microwave that saved oven time by part cooking jacket potatoes and cooking perfect al dente veg! This cute microwave takes up hardly any room and is attractive whilst being a vital part of the kitchen. Perfect!
I am of the older generation and positively dislike the high beeps emitted by so many modern appliances. The Russell Hobbs microwave gives a pleasant sounding deep tone when the food is cooked or defrosted. There are just two simply controls which are easy to use. I have previously owned microwaves with a variety of controls and settings but for me, simplest is the best way to go. It also looks good in my kitche
I’ve only had this microwave for 5 months and already it’s gone rusty on the inside, very little use so very poor, gets very wet when used and timer is very dysfunctional so it’s just guess work when trying to heat anything, please be aware of this product before buying !!!!! an absolute waste of money I’ll never buy rustle hobs again EVER !!!!!

Retro style microwave
This is a stylish easy to use microwave .My only problem was that I didn’t realise it is quite small and my large dinner plates don’t fit in it .
Cooks basmati rice perfectly
If you know how to use 700W of power all you need is a timer. Excellent performance cooks my basmati rice to fluffy in 24mins. Colour coordinates with the Amica retro Fridgefreezer very well and opens by pulling the door open no locking mechanism to break!

This microwave only has two knobs , is very simple to use and just what i needed. It looks great and is a very classy looking microwave. I bought it to match up with Charles Bentley Kettle and Toaster as this was recommended by Amazon . It matches perfectly well done Amazon. I purchased cream which is a lovely colour.
So easy to use
I like the analog controls. Just turn the knob and away it goes. we only ever reheat food with microwaves, so it is perfect for us. The colour matched our other cookwear and looks great. We love the old fashioned look.
Easy to use, compact microwave
I wanted a microwave with easy to use controls, not digital, compact, in cream colour. This microwave arrived quickly, well packaged. Looks well in my small kitchen. Easy to clean with quick wipe. Very pleased with this
I like the cream colour of this microwave which matches our kettle and toaster. It fits into the small surface space we have. I love the deco curvy shape and it looks fine. The controls are not digital and they will probably not break so easily. The only negative is that it is a bit small, but fine to heat up left overs or thaw things out of the freezer for a two person household. I purchased it for our holiday home and am very glad to be able to heat up soups etc without always using saucepans.
Lovely machine. I can’t comment on it’s longevity as I only got it two days ago, but it looks good and does the job. Not quite sure that I understand the problem with having to go to two minutes then back for anything less than two minutes. Let’s face it, you have the same problem going forwards as well as back, you don’t have a ‘seconds’ option either way. Unless you are doing some pretty precise cooking, then this shouldn’t be a problem and to be honest, if you are looking to be doing precise cooking, then you should be buying a digital microwave. I also don’t understand the negative comments about the label on the front. Okay, it would be nice if the manufacturer could have attached a more user friendly label, but 30 seconds with a bit of white spirit and the flat end of a wooden skewer and it was off. No lasting damage to the machine and not need for a hammer and chisel! Come on folks, if you’re going to complain about something then make it something useful that can people can use to make an informed decision on whether or not to buy.
Bottom line – if you want a good looking microwave that does the job at the price, then you could do worse than this.

Good value basic microwave
Good value basic microwave. Two dials so you can’t go wrong. Temperature and time, easy to use but basic… hard to get exact time if seconds are required but I’m happy.

Lovely little microwave..hence the title compact I suppose.
The sticker on the front is not an issue for me and I think I’ll leave it on as it instructs what to do if you want to heat something less than 2 minutes. (Turn dial to above 2 mins and then back to the time eg 1 minute).

Brilliant, effective & easy to clea
I really love this microwave- it’s so straight forward to use, two dials, one for time and one for power and that’s it! I hate those microwaves where you have to press 5 different buttons before it even turns this on, but this one is idiot proof. Big bonus (apart from being really stylish & a lovely colour) is that it’s so easy to clean, despite being cream coloured and white on the inside. I’ve had mine for 6 months now and really can’t fault it.

I have the kettle, toaster and coffee machine so was very pleased to find this. Probably could have got a basic cheaper microwave but it looks great and am happy to leave it out, rather than stick in a cupboard
It is a nice, glossy, little red microwave, it matches the other branded kitchen appliances we have, and good and accurate heating, as some microwaves exagerate there output. Would not hesitate to purchase

Great product, only downside would be the timer is difficult to tell exactly how long food is being cooked for so use an alternative stopwatch.

so far so good although as others have stated almost impossible to gauge time, looks really nice though. tip to get the sticker off the front one ripped off, use a little bit of oil on a rag and rub.

I chose this microwave because i wanted a manually operated one instead of digital, however the timer knob is not great, you cant really see what time setting you have chosen and to get it started you have to go past 2 minutes which is a bit of a pain if you are only wanting to heat something up for 30 sec or a minute. apart from that i like it.
