Really great, so glad we bought it, adds peace of mind when the little lady is roaming around. Keeps the cat from licking the fireplace too, so added bonus!

Simple, adaptable fire guard
Great piece of kit. Our hearth is very deep, so I had to make a few cut outs, but a good pair of cutters did the trick. My only criticism is of the dog clips that secure the guard to the hearth. They are a right fiddle. I need to find a different solution.

This is a good and versatile product. We were pleasantly surprised by the price and design – I have been informed by agd associates (never lost for a comment, especially the grandparents!) that the design is the same as 30 years ago and it does work. Assembly is a little tricky and you need a couple of holes in the side of your breast (chimney breast that is!) and the clip is a bit of a fiddle, but if my wife can’t undo it my 2 year old definitely can’t! We had a very narrow bit of chimney breast either side of a mantle before it went back to the wall, and it fitted fine.
Overall, good value (especially compared to some of the pretentious wooden stuff at three times the price) and does the job very well. Pleasantly surprised!

Make sure you attach it to the wall
Bought it to stop the baby from burning himself. Reasonably sturdy. Relatively future proof for when he starts climbing things providing it’s attached to the wall with the supplied fittings. Although I don’t recall any rawl plugs included. I attached it to MDF surround

Extremely robust. Good dimensions and clearance of the fireplace. A little unwieldy when trying to assemble, probably better as a job for two! Fiddlyto scure to wall but does the job well.

Great fire guard!
Fits neatly around hearth and as far as safety cages go doesn’t look bad at all! Keeps my little ones safely away from the flames!

Great. Doesn’t get hot when fire on. Haven’t fitted to wall but main concern was keeping baby safe from falling on the marble surround so wanted to keep her protected from the fire and marble 10000000% does the job would highly recommend

Good sturdy fireguard. Bought to keep my granddaughter away from the solid fuel Rayburn. It’s not fixed so we can get to the fire easily but sturdy enough to keep her away anyway.

It took 2 of us assembling this only a very short period of time. I would have liked another 4 little clips to attach top bit, 2 at front and 1 more at each side. I just think this would make it feel a bit more sturdy. It was bought to keep kids and dogs away from stove. It does the job it was ought for.

Fix it .
My husband found this easy to install and it is flexible to fit around our wood burner. We did try not fitting to the brick surround but our granddaughter soon showed us why one needs to fix it as she pulled it over. Since fixing it she has lost interest in it . Another reason to fix it.

I was worried how this would like in front of our wood burner but its actualy not too bad. Most importantly does the job and it can be adjusted so can fit a variety of spaces.

Ideal for fire places with larger or smaller than average spaces
Ideal for needing a less than standard sized fire guard. It suits us brilliantly and I’ve been surprised at how well it resists heat. Perfect as we have a good sized wood burner in our living room and no other way of barricading it off to tiny hands.

The plates that come with it to secure the width of the fire guard had screws but no nuts to hold the screw in place!still need them have used cable ties could you send some please

Using it as a dog gate as couldn’t find a wide enough baby/dog gate anywhere. Works wonders, have made it so I can open and close one side of it without my little Houdinis escaping through my legs.

I like that it is adjustable to fit any size hearth, and that the top panel can be opened to add fuel to the fire. Our 14 month old is obsessed with the fire, with this gaurd she can get close to it without getting burned, and it keeps her from rubbing her hands in the soot when the fire isn’t lit.
Quick delivery and it seemed to only take my husband a few minutes to assemble. It also folds up flat for storage.

Well made and effective
This substantial guard was reassuringly made, and as aesthetically pleasing as any such kit can be. My only problem was that the clips used to secure it to the eye fittings on the fire place were somewhat hard on our fingers. I have used alternatives. The guard is now neatly waiting in my shed for our granddaughter’s next visit.

No es demasiado esttico (da sensacin de tener una jaula) pero s muy funcional. No se calienta en absoluto.
El material es de una calidad ms que aceptable para el precio y el acabado est muy cuidado. Se monta muy fcil.

Safe and sturdy.
This is an excellent fireguard. Easily assembled. Instructions are precise. I’ve only been using this for a day but am very happy with it. It’s extremely sturdy and so far there hasn’t been any need to fix it to the wall. I would definitely recommend this product.

Good solid construction. I was so impressed I bought 2, one for the log burner and one for the open fire. My grandaughter can now play in both rooms without the fear of her going near the fires.

Sono presenti ganci con moschettone per la tenuta al muro che consiglio di usare dal momento che la parte frontale del parafuoco, essendo pi pesante pu ribaltarsi in avanti quando viene spostata o urtata.

I got a message on the Wednesday to say it would arrive on the Sunday, this was too late as the little boy was arriving on Friday. However after Chatting with a very helpful young man in Customer services, the original one was cancelled, and I reordered on a faster delivery. The Fireguard arrived one hour before my little visitor.

Good solid fireguard.
Bought this to use when grandchildren visit as I recently installed a wood burner. Perfect for the job and was easy to assemble and fix to hearth size. Doesn’t quite fold flat but near enough for storage when not in use. Delivery spot on and really pleased with this fireguard.

Fantastic design and very easy to assemble. It has been put to the test quite stringently by my little girl and I can confirm that, try as she might, it does not come away from the wall when it has been fixed on. I wouldn’t recommend that you leave these free standing however.

Good sturdy guard to keep kids safe from log burner. My only complaint is that to get to the stove to put logs on I have to pull the whole thing away from the wall as there is no quick way in. It could do with a little flap in the middle or something to make it a bit more user friendly. Does what is designed to though. For safety, recommend.

very sturdy and safe but putting it together to begin with was a bit tricky you have to put the frame apart then clip it together again in the right configuration. The ties to the wall are also a very good idea!

Quite easy to assemble and use. Adapts to a wide range of width fittings. Top is hinged and then clips down onto sides so can be lifted to allow some limited access to tend fire when in use instead of having to swing or move the whole guard away.
