Very impressed.
Not had this shark hoover for long but very impressed, still getting used to it, glad I brought it and at a good price.
Great vacuum. Much better than my Dyso
Fantastic vacuum. Really powerful and great how it comes apart to do stairs etc. Only downside is that it’s actually too powerful for some of my carpets, even on the lowest suction.
Much quieter, lighter and more powerful than our previous vacuum!
I finally convinced my husband that it was time to change our vacuum cleaner .. . . . the previous one still worked, he liked it but I hated it! I wanted one that really didn’t give me a headache because of its noise levels – and I’ve got it now!
This is much lighter, easier for me to use, versatile and so powerful. The only drawback is that power – it makes it near impossible to use on things like bath mats but superb on fitted carpets, tiles and laminate flooring. The associated tools are easily changed and make it appropriate for most tasks, it lifts away from the base to make using it on the stairs simple. It is easy to empty the container, though we’re getting better at devising a way to ensure all debris is cleared as some initially tended to be left behind. The filters are easily accessible and simple to rinse out, dry and refit. Best of all is that I no longer feel the need to vacate our home when the hoover is in use! So far we’re very happy with it and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone without lots of little rugs or mats in their home.

Well, we have had Dyson’s, Vax’s and the latest Henry but this beats them all. Amazing suction, nearly pulled the cushion flooring up on maximum suction, very light and manoeuvrable. Great stuff, and a price that doesn’t break the bank. Checked out Which’s top ten vacuum cleaners, and this was number one. I can see why. We haven’t used the ‘lift away’ feature because just releasing the wand has been enough. I would thoroughly recommend this. Henry now lives in the garage. Sad!!!

It does the job exceptionally well and as I said it really is powerful. The ‘lift away’ bit is handy for doing the stairs and the flex is ample long enough to go outside to vacuum the car.
However, despite its magnificent sucking it is quite a heavyweight machine, it’s like doing a workout without going to the gym! I am not a delicate flower but I find it hard to push especially on carpet with a flat pile. Thankfully there is a max – min switch so that makes it a lot easier to handle. Another thing that would’ve been great is if it had a large flat head to attach to the wand when using the lift away function.
That being said, it is an extremely good vacuum cleaner so don’t let my whingeing put you off.

Ditch those weights!
Just switched from a leading brand vacuum to this one.
I’ll be honest and say yes it’s very heavy to manoeuvre but it’s possibly down to the suction power.
I’ve just done the vacuum of our living room, can I say as we have two small fluffy dogs we vacuum regularly, this was the result – I had no idea how dirty our carpets really were.
I’m absolutely delighted with our shark!

Cant fault it really.It was to replace an old Dyson and does a better job.Be warned,its heavy.The lights are a cool feature and doesnt seem useful until u use them.The lift away feature is excellent for stairs.Ive had to turn the suction down to low as it was literally picking up the carpet.On the whole well worth the money.
Acceptable vacuum cleane
Quite pleased with this appliance though have only had it a couple of weeks. Good that it has a swivel head which fits easily into corners. Better than my original upright Hoover. The dust container I felt was a bit small and needed emptying fairly frequently but I had been shredding and each time I emptied the shredder I had lots of bits to pick up from the floor. Fantastic A must Buy Hoove
This is my second Shark, I only replaced my old machine as it was outdated and shark no longer did replacement parts for it.
This edition is just as good if not better the steel pipe is far better than the older plastic versions.
Fantastic suction I have a dog and 4 cats and it picks up there hair effortlessly.
Looks good and does the job its intended for personally I will continue to buy Shark over any other hoover.
Super Suctio
The suction on the vacuum is amazing. If you are having a problem hoovering – its probably because you have it on high suction. Low/medium suction is perfect.

Delighted with this vacuum cleaner.
I had heard from friends how good Shark vacuums were, so after my old faithful cleaner finally got beyond economical repair I went for this one.
I’m so glad I did because it’s just a neat well made product. Manoeuvrability is a dream, it’s so quiet that it doesn’t even bother the two cats I have. (These two are why I need a good vacuum cleaner!)
Suction I found like others have mentioned, that sometimes it’s very hard to push.
I found that going against the pile of the carpet is a not a good idea. Impossible to push it.
Turn it around and go the other way and it works as it should and so much easier although judders a bit when pulling it back on full suction, reducing this strong suction on the handles little push/pull switch resolves the judder.
The spare tools that come with it are good and using it on the stairs is so much easier for me now with just the turbo brush attached and the unit lifted away from the big main rotary brush.
Everything comes apart and clicks back into place easily, emptying the cleaner is a dream too, and if it looks a little dusty inside, a rinse under the tap, left to dry for a while then it’s good as new for next time.
I’m made up with it and can only recommend Shark

Very powerful suction. It stuck to the carpet like a limpet. There were times when I had to flick a switch to reduce the suction in order to get is to glide freely!

Love love love this vacuum cleaner. I don’t like hoovering but the lights and fact that it really does get up all the bits mean I actually quite enjoy it now.

My son bought a shark and I kept borrowing it so I decided to buy one myself.

My old one gave up after 5years so thought I’d give this one a try well it’s got a suction that needs muscles of a bear I’m not keen that the cable is in the right side it gets caught if not careful also with my old one when using the lift off stage the brush stayed on this one doesn’t

This vacuum is excellent. I’ve given it 5 stars, not just for the product but the quick delivery, great packaging and an easy transaction. I thought the floor was clean until I used this vacuum, the lights help see in darker places (no surprise there!) and this has been a huge help. The design is really impressive, being able to take the lighter part to do the stairs means I no longer have to haul a vacuum with me.
I’d read one or two negative reviews and the main complaint was that the suction was too strong. It isn’t too strong for me and I’ve arthritis and back issues. This vacuum is lightweight, easy to use, versatile and I am delighted with it and have no problem giving it 5stars.
Eats all the dirt up just like a SHARK does.
Well I can not believe I’ve waited this long to purchase this product!! Absolutely brilliant does as described my bedroom carpet has been back to life so much so that ensuite toilet door now drags when opened. Suction is very fierce indeed, but gives you a good work out.

Had dysons for several years but decided on a change, the vacuum is amazing! The carpets are actually lifted when you Hoover and the amount of muck that comes out of the carpet is disgusting and we are house proud! The power is unbelievable! My husband is going round hoovering to his hearts content as he finds it so exciting! My husband prefers an upright where as I prefer a cylinder and this shark keeps us both happy. It’s so easy to do the stairs and sofa etc by removing the container from the upright part…..the only thing I would say is in our bedroom the carpet is thick pile and I personally found it hard to push but my husband was fine with it. You will not go wrong with one of these, it is my husbands new toy!

Great vacuum cleaner for so many reasons.
Exceeded my expectations. I love the light on the front I can see dust in dark corners. It is great fo the stairs my best vacuum ever for doing them. I love the versatility of the head getting around corners and under furniture.

Good but not perfect.
This vacuum cleaner is good but not perfect. Suction too strong on maximum but I use it on minimum which solves my problem. The flex is long and useful not having to keep plugging into sockets but on the other-hand it can get in the way when fully out and near to the socket. The dust cannister is a good size but is rather bulky, being square, and rather awkward vacuuming under a table. It would be better being longer and slimmer. It is easy to dispose of the dirt and each part is easy to clip together. Sometimes the tools, which are good, fall off. The machine is also a little heavy for older people and the height of the vacuum might make it more difficult for short people. The Shark is quite quiet in operation. Manoeuvrability is good.

Dissapointing newer model
I wish I had read the question section before purchasing. I had the older model which recently broke and unfortunately I couldn’t buy the same one and thought the newer version would be better but they’ve ruined it!
1. The roller brush used to be removable and now its not which isn’t very helpful when you have children with small toys
2. It’s heavy to push on carpet! The older model was so light and almost moved on its own but this actually hurts my shoulder to push.
3. The attachments are different and I miss the brush on the crevice tool
*I will add that it looks nicer and it is better on hard floors than the older model but it’s not what I was expecting and I’m dissapointed.
Completely recyclable packaging
Vacuums like a dream! But most importantly, the packaging was brilliant! Everything was recyclable! The only piece of plastic was the little wire holding the power cable together. Absolutely brilliant.

One of the most powerful suctions I have come across.
It was necessary to set control at minimum to move the cleaner on our thick rug. I thought the rug was clean until I used this cleaner.

This hoover is brilliant on both hard floors and carpets. Even the wand is great which cleans stairs brilliantly.
The first time I used ithe hoover on the living room rug, it looked it it’d been professionally cleaned. It really is fab.
The only let down is the weight and manuverability of the thing.
It’s SO heavy and clunky to move around and it’s especially difficult on carpets, even on the lowest suction setting. I’m young(ish) and relatively fit and even I worked up a sweat using this thing.
I lent it to my Mother-in-law (70) and she couldn’t lift it and found it extremely difficult to push.
All in all, great hoover, great work out! 😉

It has more than halved my time spent cleaning and it’s suction is incredible. The vacuum itself is light to lift and easy to do the stairs with, it only feels heavy when pushing it because the suction is that good. I find this a small price to pay for a really decent clean. It picks up everything no vac I’ve ever had has picked up before. I love the little lights on the front and find it so helpful when the lighting in your room isn’t good enough but then you end up noticing the dirt later on with different lighting. It has genuinely made my carpets look new again. It’s sad how happy I am!!

Having never owned a vacuum I was completely overwhelmed when it came to researching and was faced with so many choices and price ranges.
I bit the bullet and went for this after being reccomended Shark by a friend and it is more than adequate for the price.
Originally I wanted to pay about 40 but after seeking advice from friends and other reviews I have learnt that if you want a decent product that will last you need to spend at least 100.
I have no doubt that a 600 dyson would be more powerful and have many more additional feautures but for the 150 I paid this does the job perfectly.
The suction is just right for my needs (crumbs, dust etc…). The pull out wand is handy for rugs and hard to reach places, I don’t really use the liftaway feature as I don’t have any stairs but I can see why it would be handy in the future if I move somewhere that does. The cable is long and wraps up easily, and the whole product is easy to assemble and simple to use.
Overall I’m quite happy with it but be aware I live in a small one floor flat and vacuum about once a week so cannot speak for someone who may have a large house and need to vacuum more frequently.

Bought to replace my 20 year old Henry as it’s getting too heavy for me. I love this hoover: easy to assemble and switch to cylinder only, great suction and light enough to do the stairs. I love the headlight feature for dark spaces too. Emptying is very easy. Just click the button. There is no reassembling filters or lining up together to close. The instruction booklet is clear and concise.

Have only used this once so far. It really does have amazing suction power. My carpets have never had such a good clean. Takes a little getting used to manoeuvring it after years of using an upright Hoover.

It arrived with a slight physical problem (wasn’t broken, the locking clip was stiff and wouldn’t return to the original position) where the top clips into the bottom, and I contacted Amazon to discuss what to do, they contacted the company there and then, and then within minutes Shark rang me and they decided that the best way forward was to replace the bottom unit, (although we still could use the Vacuum and was very impressed with the suction).
The replacement part came the next morning via DPD!
That’s what you call great customer service 🙂
Really impressed
Absolutely love my hoover. I was mortified at the amount of grime it picked up, use low suction on carpets and it works perfectly … really pleased I took the plunge and got one, I actually like hoovering now 🙂

Not much of a stretch on the pipe for stairs have to keep vacuum next to you or it falls over but suction great and easy to empty and clea

Very powerful to use and brings up my deep pile carpet perfectly. Easy to use liftaway and other functions. I don’t have stairs but i reckon it would be fine to use as liftaway and attachments that are included. The upholstery brush is really powerful and you have to use this in hard floor mode which is just a simple switch over. All in all i am very pleased with it especially as my first use was after having a new bathroom fitted so carpets were very dusty. Can be heavy to push but you can adjust the suction to suit your own comfort. Glad i bought this Shark and definitely an improvement on my earlier model and my cordless shark. So much more power with this model
You don't know you need this.... but you do!
How did I live without this?? This is hands down the best hoover I’ve ever owned. I thought my last hoover had great suction power but this knocks that right out the park! It’s so hard to push on a carpet/rug the first few times you use it, but the more clean your carpet becomes, the easier it gets. Couldn’t believe what came out of my rug (that had literally just been hoovered an hour before this got delivered!)

Genuinely hit peak adulthood! That’s the most excitement I’ve had in years… had a cordless cheap hoover before and didn’t think it was that bad but the amount of dirt and dust this hoover just picked up in each room is insane! Also made all my carpets fluffy again! Highly recommend! Also doing the stairs didn’t break my back for the first time as it’s so lightweight.
Fab little shark!
Love my shark! Always had dysons and never thought I would stray from them. After reading the reviews on the shark I thought I’d get one. So glad I did! It’s fab, light and powerful suction, I used it the first time and it sucked up way more than the dyson. Yes, the dirt container is smaller but it’s no big deal to empty it a couple of times, just shows how powerful it is with suction.
Impressive
Very impressed with this vacuum cleaner. Feels very light in weight yet has serious heavyweight suction. Sensible intelligent design too. One possible criticism is that whilst the lift-away feature is brilliant, sometimes clicking back into place has been slightly hit and miss getting it to lock. Potential problems in future ?

My Jack Russell sheds constantly & with my previous dyson I could never get the carpet clean enough. The first time I used this (on a “clean” carpet, which was vacuumed with a dyson 3hrs beforehand) lifted a crazy amount of dog hair, that it looked like I hadn’t ever vacuumed before!
The suction is incredible; it quite literally sticks to the floor & lifts every dog hair seen & unseen.
I also find it really makes my carpet look good as new. The suction is so strong, that it makes the carpet fibres all stand straight, so it looks like a new carpet each time it’s used.
I am registered disabled due to severe spinal issues. I do not find this a heavy vacuum to use or lift at all. I was surprised to read so many reviews mention the weight. I have not had this issue at all & I am unable to lift much weight at all.
The only faults I have are nothing to do with the vacuum itself.
For the price, I think a brush accessory should’ve been provided with it eg for doing skirting boards & hearths.
It comes with only 2 accessories- a long nozzle & a stair attachment-stair attachment doesn’t fit onto the vacuum, so it could easily get lost.
Also the lead doesn’t have anywhere to wind up neatly, to be stored in a sightly manner. This gets annoying fast. However it doesn’t take away from this being an excellent vacuum. Highly recommend!

Great suction, nice and ligh
Love, love, love this hoover! I used my old hoover and gave my carpets a good going over. Then went over again immediately with the shark and it picked up a lot! So much that it filled the unit. I have 2 cats and 1 dog. So it picked up a lot of dirt, hair, dust etc. It’s lovely and light too. I struggle with my joints but use this on the stairs easily with the lift away. It has a really good suction on it. Perfect for my vinyl in the kitchen. I did the car with it too. It doesn’t leave a big dust cloud when you empty it either. My boys have asthma so it’s Perfect.
Good suction and lightweigh
Bought this vacuum cleaner because it was lighter than others and am so pleased with it … the suction is fantastic. I have always used a Dustin but this is far superior and would therefore recommend
Efficient cleaning
Recently bought a shark hoover and have been very impressed with it. The suction is very strong and I like the additional feature of being able to remove the canister to carry up the stairs for hoovering.
I have recommended it to friends.

Really like this vacuum. Comparing it to my old Dyson, the Shark has much stronger suction to the point where it can become difficult to push. Gives you a good work out though and on heavy use areas of the carpet, cleans it up really great. You can adjust the suction strength in two places though, so it becomes much easier to push.
My only negative thought is that the dust box is quite small and fills quite quickly. Other than that, I really like it & would defo recommend.

Love this vacuum! Didn’t realize how awful my old one was until I got this one. It picks up cat and dog hair so well. Yes the dirt basket is small and needs emptied often but if it didn’t have such great suction and pick up everything it wouldn’t need emptied. Would highly recommend and would buy again.

Although I’m generally pleased with this vacuum cleaner, it has a couple of drawbacks-the hose does not extend as far as the old Dyson and so cleaning high ceiling corners is impossible. Since the machine is not as heavy as the Dyson, it’s also more unstable when using the hose. It tips over if you extend the hose too far and recently it fell against my leg causing a nasty bruise. I’ve taken to lifting the cylinder away from the base and carrying in one hand while using the hose in the other, fortunately it’s light enough to do this, but it is a bit awkward. Original review below.

This machine is much more compact and lighter than the old one. I particularly like the stair cleaning lift away function and it seems that it outperforms my old Dyson on cleaning upholstery, but that’s maybe not a fair comparison given the age of my last vacuum cleaner.
I like that you can adjust the suction power but on low pile carpets where there’s thin underlay it is very difficult to move the machine even on the lowest power rating. It does have a smaller dust collector than the Dyson, but I don’t mind that as there’s less dust to fly around when emptying. Like the Dyson fluff tends to collect at the top of the dust holder and needs to be pulled out, again smaller quantities make that easier.
Overall I’m currently happy, it’s longevity remains to be tested.

One of the best vacuums I’ve owned for suction and easy to use
This hover is the only one I actually like using it’s easy to separate and carry off up stairs. Easy to use. The suction is fab also easy to empty.
I had the plug in one as I’ve many battery vacuums and been disappointed. My friend recommended this, couldn’t be happier.
Excellent sucker and lightweight!
The suction on this Hoover is excellent, better than my dyson but that was 11 years old. It’s quite light weight, much lighter than my dyson. It’s compact and not bulky! Eay to assemble and use!!

It’s very good using attachments and getting rid of fluff etc picked up is also very easy .I’m afraid the downside is suction like other people found it too much ,even using the slide on the handle made little difference.I found removing the suction tube from the machine made a big difference but the what I have done is take off the handle turn upside down and you will see the slide which controls suction (see picture) get a screwdriver or chisel and scrape felt pad off the slide .You will see by photo my slide has no felt on it .I find this perfect .Shame we need to do this as it’s a good machine.

Powerful, easy to use and value for money
I have always had a Dyson and a Henry, due to my disabilities I started to find them difficult to manoeuvre around, I rescued a dog back in July 2020 and he loses hair constantly, neither my Dyson nor my Henry were able to remove his hair from my carpet this began to really get me down as my home never felt cleaned properly.
I saw this advertised and read many many many reviews, it was delivered yesterday and I really have 3 words the first word is ‘WOW’ and the 2nd is ‘FANTASTIC’ my carpet looks brand new and whilst I know that there will always be the odd hair here and there ( that’s what having pets means for life) I now know that as soon as I hoover my carpet is spotless.
This really is the top dog of hoovers, I very very very rarely write reviews but this little beauty 100% deserves all the stars I can give and a recommendation.
I have even phoned several friends and suggested that they consider this as their next vaccume cleaner.
I am over the moon with my purchase and the price in comparison is really good.
Please don’t do what other companies do by proving this out of the reach of those of us on a low income as everyone should be able to afford to buy a little shark for life.

This vacuum isn’t what I expected. It’s certainly not lightweight .. in fact its the heaviest I’ve ever had. It does have very good suction which can be reduced if it starts sucking up your carpet. But I’m not at all happy with the cable as it’s all over the place and doesn’t stay where it’s supposed to be .. ie .. on the hooks provided. As it is I will not be advising anyone else to get this model as its just not doing the job I want it to. But, when I’ve used it a few more times and if I become used to all its weird quirks I may change my mind and will then let you know. If I don’t then I will have to sell it on and buy something better suited to me.

Amazing
Wow. I’ve had a Henry for years which I thought had good suction. I used this today after it arrived this morning and I was shocked. The dust it picked it. Omg. It’s like I’d never vacuumed my house before. I’m so impressed. I don’t have a pet, but bought this as my long hair gets everywhere. All hair has been picked up no problem. I used to use a rubber brush after vacuuming as the Henry didn’t remove all my hair from the carpet. This gets EVERYTHING up. So, so good. Bye Henry. Bye rubber brush.

I bought this Shark vacuum after reading 6 million different reviews on a variety of upright vacuums. My old cylinder pull-along Hoover broke and I came to the conclusion that with vacuums, you get what you pay for so I decided to spend a little more on a Shark. For me its two big selling points are that you can remove the cylinder from the base which makes cleaning the stairs so much easier as the vacuum doesn’t fall down the stairs, and its suction. It picks up hair and dirt really well, the only down side is that even on min suction and on the hard floor setting, it still eats a rag rug I have but I can live with that. I read reviews that the suction was too powerful – it’s not, you just have to make sure you have it set on ‘min’ as well as on the carpet setting. The headlights are great as you can easily spot bits you’ve missed. I’ve only had it a day but have done the whole house with it (carpet and hard floors) and it’s fab. Yes long hair does get caught around the roller brush but you’d expect that on any vacuum – it’s a brush, they’re designed to pick up hairs!

I had heard people rave about shark hoovers and now I know why.i couldn’t believe how much dirt came off my carpet and I hoover regularly as I’ve pets. It’s light enough to maneuover and the lift away is fantastic. I have to say its the best hoover I have ever purchased
Great suction ideal for pet owners
Love this hoover. I had a battery one before and certainly this is far superior. Suction is mega so he careful and adjust or you will lose socks etc on the floor. Definately can see the difference as I have a dog with white short hair that gets everywhere. Really pleased

Very versatile
Great vacuum cleaner, deep cleans carpets and was shocked how much it removed compared to our old Henry vacuum. The pull away attachment works very well. When using on flat floors vinyl etc you have to reduce suction as it sticks to the floor. Pivot head makes it very ‘drivable’. Exellent value, exellent vacuum.

Best suck of my life.
Overall this is great. The base part, (wide bit on the bottom for level surfaces, don’t know what it’s called) isn’t the easiest to use because you have to lean it away from the floor to move it around, which gives less suction. Using the hose on the other hand is perfect though I find the attachments with the rollers and bristles rather pointless, the best use is just the standard plastic tube. Easy to empty out, and certainly easy to recover valuables you may suck up by accident, which you likely will because the suction is excellent.
Top buy at a decent price. Very happy with this vacuum cleaner.
Really pleased with this vacuum. It need emptying every time it’s used because it’s full! It picks up almost everything including all the pet hairs, we have two dogs and a Maine Coon cat who sheds like there is no tomorrow. Have used far more expensive vacuums that have been half as effective. Love the detachment option for stairs and the choice of hard floor and carpet brush options, as we have both. It’s also easy to manoeuvre around furniture. Top buy!
Its an improveme
This is my second shark; the first still works well but the dustchamber fills very quickly. With three dogs one with a larger chamber appeared to be a good idea. The design has been improved and I like the easy way it breaks apart to use the hose and nozzles. It is effective, quiet and the dog attachment is very effective. All in all this is better al round than the first one.

Great worth all five stars
I have read a lot of articles and reviews about vacuum cleaners (how exciting is my life?!). It did boil down to either a Dyson or Shark. I have had Dyson’s for twenty odd years so there was also a bit of brand loyalty making the decision more difficult. I have always found Dysons a bit heavy so he fact that the Shark is very light was the deciding factor as they seemed neck and neck otherwise. The Shark is very easy to use on the stairs being able to separate the middle section of the vacuum makes it even lighter. The wand on the Dyson was a bit of a fight to get out – the Shark’s wand is very easy to use. I like the light on the front of the vacuum showing up the dust. The flex is very long which is good. Suction is great you can change the settings to cope with carpet as well as floors and on top of that have varying degrees of suction power. The dust carrier is a bit small but really not an issue – it is easily removable. All in all I think it is a super little vacuum I am very pleased with my purchase. It also has a five year free guarantee.
