Average microwave, probably won’t last as long as my last one as it feels cheaper and not as sturdy. Controls are reasonably easy to use. Start button sometimes needs pressing more than once which can be irritating.
A small/medium size machine. It has good functionality-grill, defrost and other presets. It cooks well.
However, it came with no instructions and thus you have to work blind. The controls don’t illuminate, so you need good light. The control buttons can be a bit intermittent to operate.
Despite the few drawbacks, I think it is a good machine.
Don't look for any usage instructions..... There aren't any
It’s very compact and quiet, but if you’re not a techno bod, don’t think you’ll get to grips with it immediately as it has no instructions for use. Well, mine didn’t!
This Microwave Oven does the job perfectly adequately. So far I haven’t found the grill to be of much use as it doesn’t seem that powerful and odd things like having to open and shut the door to be able to set the clock are a bit irksome. But apart from that, it is a decent, good value microwave
Nice colour, compact ,efficient in everyday use thanks
Great combo microwave and grill.
I found it too light and would slide back on worktop when door push was used. On flipping it upside down can see they did not fit rubber feet on rear. I put some silicon feet on and no more sliding around. Also found panel not too responsive when buttons pressed. There is a protective film over it, so remove that for better response.
Overall a great little nuke machine, and recommend it .
Looks good and is well made
Looks good and is well made with excellent performance and easy to use.
I’ve never liked microwave baked pot6atoes, but this does a brilliant job of them in just 5 minutes.
Very highly recommended.
Practical, straight forward easy to use
We only have a Microwave to help defrost, or heat something up from the fridge. We don’t use it to “Cook” but this is a very useful little microwave and easy to use. Our last Sharp microwave lasted 23 years so I also have faith in the brand!
Excelle
This is an excellent bit of kit, easy to use and easy to clean. I cooks the food perfectly and is quicker than other microwaves I have used. All at a very good price.
Good value for money.
Just the right size and so easy to use.
Used the microwave for heating my porridge and other things. Look forward to using everything thing else. It was a shame it didn’t come with a manual for cooking recipes.
Big space and heats up fas
I have had this for about two months now and it’s been a good buy
Only negative I can mention at the moment is the knob can’t be as precise as a digital one but if you don’t mind turning a knob it’s absolutely awesome
Good help in the kitche
4.8 stars
A- A backlight feature for the buttons activated by touching the knob would be a helpful addition.
B- Placement at mid-height inside the oven can lead to uneven cooking; food farther from the door tends to cook first.
I am particularly impressed with the grill function. When food is placed at mid-height, the grill is highly effective, though caution is advised to prevent overcooking. Both the microwave and grill settings perform well for cooking bread. The convection function also does an excellent job.
For some reason the buttons don’t respond very well, and there’s clearly a knack to pushing them.
Also, although the grill seems to work well enough (without heating the top unduly), the supplied rack is quite low, so things like cheese on toast seem to take an annoyingly long time to cook.
Easy to use
Love this microwave had one before and changed it for a fancy one which I hated so bought this again easy to use easy to clean looks good, highly recommend.
i recommend this one.
very easy and simple to use. grill needs extra time if you place your food on the bottom plate but that’s cool, i prefer cooking slower for longer. i should imagine if you stick it on the raised grid thing it would probably burn the food but i havn’t tried that yet. really liking this cooker. i will report back on its longevity and reliability but for now it’s an easy 5/5 for me.
Ithink it is a good purchase – it looks good and so far performs well. The only think I would be wary of is if you need it to sit back flush against a back wall. It sits on a counter top, but because of he design it does not back square onto the back wall. Not a problem – unless you have a narrow counter top and it is important for it to be pushed right back flush with the back wall.
“Does what says on the can “
The grill/ micro wave combo settings are t clear set 1 2 and 3,now is 3 more grill and less microwave if the other way round .. used often I guess you just remember , I don’t use so often .. otherwise nice simple “turn the knob/ buttonless microwave:)
The brushed steel finish is very premium, the pictures don’t do it justice. Same for the digital display. Also 900w means you save about a minute of cooking time on most things. And the ceramic inside will hopefully prevent the dreaded rust I’ve had with previous microwaves.
I got this for 106. A bit pricier than average but for looks and quality, I’m glad I took the plunge. I only wish it had a wheel for more convenient time selection. I’ve not used the grill yet.
Eco mode just turns the screen off.
There is an auto child lock on it so the buttons do nothing until you’ve opened the door and closed it again.
I wish there was a mute function. There is no need for microwaves to beep when finished. It’s obvious they’ve finished because the microwaving noise itself stops.
This one does 5 beeps but it’s not particularly loud so it’s not so bad.
There is a kitchen timer on it (because why not) which I’ve actually found pretty handy for setting alarms for other things like boiling eggs on the hob.
Very good machine. Have tried reheating home made curry, making popcorn, defrosting and grill and all work as expected. Nice looking machine (I really like the yellow light too) . Only minor gripe is the panels buttons sometimes need to be poked a few times to get a response (It works better if you swipe across the button). No full manual included so you have to download it from Sharp’s website.
Meecrowaavi (Microwave)
Got this to replace my other microwave, bought this as it’s very easy to use and it won’t be difficult for my mother (she now finds it hard to learn new things) as it has the same functions as my previous one.
Sharp microwave/grill.
Super microwave. Would be nice to have a more comprehensive write up on how to use the pre programme options.
This is a high tech microwave ove
I love my new microwave oven it is so good it takes pride of place in my kitchen. Yes it is a bit more expensive but hey you get what you ay for right. I love my new sharps microwave it can do more than a cheap microwave can do and it cooks a lot better as well. I am 100% pleased with my microwave it came on time and I love it thank you amazon.
NO RECIPE BOOK OFFERED
Microwave oven good, pity no recipe book was provided, had to follow cooking instructions from previous microwave. Inside light not bright enough, control facia symbols very faint.
Will have to do for 12 months when I will get perhaps a better one which provides information for different combination cooking
Does the job
Didn’t like the start button. You have to sort of linger about around the push area with you finger, until you find the sweet spot!!! Otherwise the microwave is fine
Almost perfec
Very good, but would have been even better with a handle
Looks good easy to use
it’s easy to use love the grill and easy to clea
Really Really Good
Working as it says. Really good and easy to use. Thankyou so much
I like this microwave because it does what it says in the description, but it will require you to clean it after every use (depending on how much steam is produced during reheating). It could be a blessing or it could be a nuisance.
Works great, cooks well. Not a fan of the abnormally loud multiple beeping but otherwise happy with i
It looks good but is smaller than I expected. Not bad but you get what you paid for. Other people might have find this Microwave suitable for them but it doesn’t meet my expectations. It is my bad as I expected more but paid not enough. For me microwave seems to be too small, not powerful enough, it has lot of programs but using them is not intuitive at all. It does have good looking, nice and bright lights, clock with Eco function, it’s fine. Soft buttons could be more soft or sorry, yes the are soft but if you find them under the plastic cover which is not so easy sometimes. Finish ding dong sound had became irritating being noisy x5 dingdongs at end of process. Imagine if you are heating a couple of small portions of food at time. It could have an “quite mode” or so. Finally It is good item if you are using it occasionally or you are single or small family. But if you expect something like professional grade it is worth to spend more money on it.
Simple and easy to use, has quite a lot of options for warming your food. Looks quite nice and small taking up very less space in my kitchen. However, the product did not last for a year so, I requested for a replacement. The replacement broke down after almost a year. I would recommened this product but, make sure to get a cover/warranty of 3 months.
The microwave itself is fine and deserves 5*.
The presentation of the manual itself deserves 5* as a A5 12 page booklet printed clearly with a good sized font and good contrast against background paper. However the whole manual content consists of safety warnings. Now I am all for safety, and understand Sharp would want to protect itself from any litigation some idiot might want to try. However, there is nothing to help a new user into getting the maximum benefit from the appliance. That is only available by accessing the full manal on the website.
In my opinion, more thought should have been put into providing the full manual within the pricing constraints.
GREAT!
Very capient and easy to use and clean.
It’s a pity it was available just on white.
Check the size of your space as the item is quite on the large size.
Who needs programs anyway
A microwave is just a microwave. Who needs a fancy digital display and umpteen different program settings? We always thought we did and all previous microwave ovens we’ve owned had all that, but, always just a simple time setting was ever used. So why pay more for all them extra features. All you need is a simple timer knob. This microwave is great, simple to use, compact, looks good and cost far less than what most people think you need to spend.
As far as doing what it says on the tin is concerned, I can’t fault this microwave oven but there are two things which have already started annoying me since it arrived – only yesterday! The text and icons on the control panel are low contrast so it is difficult to see what they say without stooping down with reading glasses. Also, my previous microwave announce that it was finished with a single polite beep; this one beeps loudly five times and carries on even after the door is opened.
These are the sorts of things that designers do without thinking about customers’ needs or paying attention to customer feedback. The text colour may look cool on the dark background in the design software but if you need to have your eyes nine inches away to read it (or a photographic memory), it isn’t functional. Likewise, if you can’t warm up a cup of tea at 2.00 am without waking everybody in the house, it has usability issues. I only chose this model as it was on special offer and I suppose I will get used to it but as soon as the warranty has expired, I will be opening it up to find a way to muffle the beep.
Easy To Use.
Great Product plugged it in , off I went ,all the symbols are on the front.
Instructions are very easy to read and follow.
Microwave
Inbuilt grill about as good as useless. Otherwise it’s a microwave.
works very well
works very well doe’s what its say’s on box and is ease to use
Looks good and very efficientThis microwave is so easy to use and produces excellent results
This is a versatile microwave and comes with clear operating instructions. It produces excellent results and is ray to use.
manual or digital
i bought this for my mother who is 88 and its really easy to use and very nice overall i did buy the manual one beause its whats she is used too so didn,t go for the digital version so was great to get the option if your not sure
great microwave can,t fault it at all
top marks allround many thanks
Great microwave plus grill.
I would recommend this product as its really easy to use and heats the food evenly i been using the grill an the microwave option an both are preforming as advertised so im really happy.
I’ve been using this for a week now without any problems at all. I didn’t think I’d need the grill/convection oven aspects, but on offer it wasn’t much more than microwave-only ovens. I’ve found myself using the grill/convection as it cooks better than my main oven (electric fan). Heats up far quicker (less air/space to make hot) so cooking starts almost immediately. I’ve certainly found no need to preheat the oven as with my main oven, although preheat is programmable and it’ll keep it hot for 30m before automatically turning off (in case you fell asleep waiting for the preheat complete beeper) – a nice safety feature.
I kept the glass turntable from my old microwave thinking it’d make a good base plate and that was a great bit of forward planning. I can put any type of plastic container on the glass plate without fear it’ll sully the flatbed or stick to it. It’s become a permanent fixture until such time I need to pack more square things in.
The keypad beeps with every press but you can turn that off. It only beeps 4 times (moderately) when your meal is ready. Short beeps too – my old one did 8 long loud beeps that kept going even when I’d opened the door – drove me up the wall – felt like it was screaming at me “BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP…”. I’ll give this 5* just for that alone! It goes into child lock mode after a few minutes of non-use. Just press mute for 3s to unlock, or open/close the door.
It looks lovely in black. The door is slightly mirrored and you can use it as such if you want. The clock is a nice clear white. You can turn it off by pressing stop for 3s – I don’t need 3 clocks in the kitchen.
Nothing to complain about regarding this oven at all – works perfectly and probably more efficiently than using my main oven for simple frozen fish/chips type easy meals.
I do find the manual lacking though. 9 pages of warnings. 2 pages for installation. 1 page for “control panel”. Just 3 pages related to cooking. The “auto cook” (program) table A01-A13 is sorely lacking. It just tells you “code=food type”. eg “A10 = oven chips”. It does not tell you if that program uses microwave, grill or convection, how long it runs for or what power levels. If you don’t know a program is going to use the grill and you put a plastic container in then you’re going to have a serious problem. I tried A10 for my first cook and it uses both grill and convection. I could only tell this by staring into the microwave and seeing the grill element turn red – just for a few minutes then it turns off while the convection oven does the rest. It would be nice if the manual stated how each program operates. I’ve drawn a table in the back of the manual to write down how each program works as I nervously venture through the programs possibly using the wrong type of container. Much better to use the manual combos/settings methinks.
However – the A10 did my frozen fish and chips really well (using the supplied “baking tray” – no idea if I was supposed to use it for that). It runs for 20 mins (not adjustable) and needed another 5 mins to get them just right. Exactly how long depends on many things including how cold your freezer actually is. Live and learn.
A thumbs up for the oven. A thumbs down for the manual if it’s the programs you specifically need. If you prefer manual operation then all that is explained well; microwave only, grill only, convection only, microwave+grill (eg lasagne), microwave+convection (eg chicken and steak). There doesn’t seem to be grill+convection so I’m still not sure how my A10 fish and chips cooked! I used the metal baking tray so it can’t be microwaved, the grill did come on so it must be grill+convection even though it’s not manually possible.
All in all a very capable oven. Flatbed rocks – you have the entire expanse of the square base available (12″ x 12″, 30cm x 30cm – a tiny bit more but that’s about right). The manual states internal dimensions of 330 x 220 x 335 mm (W x H x D). That is somewhat misleading. The base is not that size. It’s only 330mm wide if you measure from the indent on the left hand panel half way up. It’s only 335mm deep if you include the inner indent on the door – 335mm actually comes out of the oven a little. I’d not be buying any dishes based on the manuals dimensions. I’ve a 12″x12″ pizza stone that fits with just a little room to spare on each side.
Great microwave good convection ove
This is a good product, Ive used it for 2 months so far. I preferred the previous incarnation with the pull down door which meant you could access the interior from either side, but this is as good functionally. It works well as a convection oven but I suspect the temperature is lower than that indicated and takes longer to cook stuff than in a normal convection oven. The upside is that it uses much less energy and only takes 3mins to heat to temperature. I’d buy it again.
Great microwave
So far so good. This was a good buy. Although small in size, anything bigger would have been too big. Thanks
If you are a little older, buttons can be hard to see
Full functioning, excellent microwave, I would give it 5 stars except the operating buttons are a little difficult to see and I have two seniors who struggle to operate i
Brilliant!
Was bought to replace a Samsung Convection Microwave that had died. Have to say this is far superior in quality. Made sure it was a stainless steel interior so it has good longevity and having convection would mean that we used the normal oven less, thus helping to keep the energy bills down. This thing is awesome in that respect! It pre-heats to the desired temperature in around 4 minutes no matter what the temperature is set at! The costs savings in pre heating alone make this a worthwhile purchase. Will definitely buy Sharp again in the future! genuinely awesome bit of kit.
good microwave
indeed it heats up food quick!!! good size as well. really happy with the purchase so far.
excellent - very happy with product, packaging and speed of delivery
he speed of delivery and how well packaged product was when delivered.
Very happy with the product, easy to clean, use and understand how to operate.
Really solid and powerful Microwave
This was required just before Christmas when our old unit broke down. The power is noticeable and the easy to clean ceramic inside is a real boon. The unit is quite large but that is ok as it is also larger inside and that just makes it more versatile. The touch buttons work fine and are responsive and the display is clear and bright. This is a capable Microwave and its performance has been noticeable compared to the unit it replaced which was from a leading brand. This Sharp unit is just better in every way. Impressed.
Simple and Easy to Use
Bought this as a replacement for an old microwave. I wanted a simple (not electronic controls) machine, and this ticked all the right boxes. It is compact and very easy to use.
My 14 years cheap Tesco bought microwave had started to go rusty inside so time for a replacement. Bought this one as I don’t need a fancy all singing and dancing microwave. So far it has proved easy to use and keep clean.
Only downside is if you open the door halfway through cooking it cancels what’s left of the time to cook and you have to start again in effect. It also has a fan that runs on after you have finished – so the noise can be annoying.
Microwave button?!
It’s a good microwave but why have to press the microwave button every time you want to set timer. I know it has a grill but surely that is a distant second use. Other than that it’s decent for the price.
Simple basic seems very good
This is a basic microwave with grill, simple easy to use just hope it lasts longer than Russell Hobbs one I got end of July which stopped working a few weeks ago.
Great produc
Bought this product for my son, he said it is great and would recommend to anyone.
Great produc

Great!
Good alternative to the big convection oven, for smaller things that you would feel guilty to turn on the big one just for that. I like it very much. Does its job!
